1. Live righteously and abstain from sinful behaviors so that non-believers will see your good works and glorify God.
2. Obey laws that allow obeying God so that Christians can lead quiet, peaceful lives and silence critics with good conduct.
3. Freedom in Christ means living as God's servants, not using liberty as an excuse for harming others or living for oneself.

Walk in the Spirit. Not become conceited. Not grow weary. Do Good. Press toward the goal. Not sleep but watch and be sober. Not love in word or tongue but in deed and truth. Love one another. Be glad and rejoice and give him glory.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…
The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

1 Peter 2f
1. 1 Peter 2 11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; 12 Having your conversation(behavior; life) honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. 1 1. Don’t sin because sin hurts us. 2. Live righteously for the sake of testimony.
2. (Jesus) Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven. Matthew 5:16 (KJV) 2 Be bold Be generous Shine brightly
3. 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the Truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 (KJV)
4. A quiet and peaceable life, lived in godliness and honesty. 4 I know, it sounds too simple. God said it. Believe and practice it.
5. 13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; 14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. 15 For so is the Will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: 5 Obey all laws that allow us to obey God. Silence ignorance with well-doing; Lead a quiet and peaceable life.
6. The world is going to hate us and speak evil against us; that is inevitable. 6 Don’t give them just reason. When Christians use bombs, or guns, or sticks and stones, We do not advance the cause of our Lord. Lead quiet and Peaceable lives.
7. 16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. 7 Freedom requires responsibility. Liberty == License We are free from the dominion of sin; Free from the power of Satan. Free to live for God and be blessed.
8. Bondage 8 “I’m free; I do as I please.” But, their sin controls their life.
10. Devils build strongholds in our minds, but we can be set free by the Power of God. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 10 12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son: Colossians 1
11. 34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant (slave) of sin. … 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8 11 Free from sin and its destruction. Free from obsessive and oppressive thinking. Free to live for God And be blessed.
