The first lesson for the warfare is to learn to
stand.
In vs 13 we are told the only way to “withstand”
is to have first learned to properly stand.

commands to “stand”.
The stand can be practiced without offensive
conflict.

Righteousness and the heart “put on”
not something natural to man, it must be
applied by choice.

Breastplate of the wicked is “iron”, no
heart in their judgment.
“fire” shows their effect of destruction.
No mention of anyone else near to their
heart.
III. Shoes, Peace- Eph 6:15

15And your feet shod with the preparation of
the gospel of peace;

10. The thing that gives your stand balance is your
feet.
The gospel of peace is a comfortable position
that enables you to maintain your stance.

publisheth peace; that bringeth good

that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

The first thing a rebel loses is peace.
Without shoes his attention will be
constantly diverted, trying to walk softly.
