Jesus gives the Beatitudes Matthew 5:1-12
Matt 5:1 And seeing the
multitudes, he went up
into a mountain: and
when he was set, his
disciples came unto him:
Luke 6:17 And he came down with them, and
stood in the plain, and the company of his
disciples, and a great multitude of people out
of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and fromthe sea
coastof Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear
him, and to be healed of their diseases;
Luke 6:18 And they that were vexed with
unclean spirits: and they were healed.
Luke 6:19 And the wholemultitude soughtto
touch him: for there went virtueout of him,
and healed [them] all.
Matt 5:2-3 And he
opened his mouth, and
taught them, saying, 3
Blessed are the poor in
spirit: for theirs is the
kingdomof heaven.
Luke 6:20 And he lifted up his eyes on his
disciples, and said, Blessed [be ye] poor: for
yours is the kingdomof God.
Matt 5:4 Blessed [are] they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Matt 5:5 Blessed [are] the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Ps 37:11 But the meek shall inheritthe earth; and shall delight
themselves in the abundance of peace.
Zeph 2:3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have
wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may
be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD'S anger.
“inheritance” deals with the millennial possession of Palestine:
Col 3:23-24 23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24
Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord
Christ.
Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you
before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the
kingdom of God.
Eph 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is
an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Jas 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in
faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
The Possession of land is merited by the meek, suffering in this age. It is
not a gift; it is an earned reward:
Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we
suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
2Tim 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
(Luke 19:12-27)
Matt 5:6 Blessed [are]
they which do hunger
and thirstafter
righteousness: for they
shall be filled.

listeners that are open to
Luke 6:21 Blessed [are ye] that hunger now:

Matt 5:7 Blessed [are]
the merciful: for they
shall obtain mercy.
Matt 5:8 Blessed [are]
the purein heart: for
they shall see God.
Matt 5:9 Blessed [are]
the peacemakers: for
they shall be called the
children of God.
Ps 72:7 In his days shall the
righteous flourish; and
abundance of peace so long as
the moon endureth.
Ps 72:3 The mountains shall
bring peace to the people, and
the little hills, by righteousness.
Ps 85:8 I will hear what God the
LORD will speak: for he will
speak peace unto his people,
and to his saints: but let them
not turn again to folly.
Ps 125:5 As for such as turn
aside unto their crooked ways,
the LORD shall lead them forth
with the workers of iniquity: but
peace shall be upon Israel.
Doctrinally this does not apply to this age.
Jesus himself was not a “child of God” by this
statement (Lk. 12:51-53, John 7:43, 10:19)
This is applicable when the King is reigning on
the throneof David.
Matt 5:10 Blessed [are]
they which are
persecuted for
righteousness'sake: for
theirs is the kingdomof
heaven. Matt 5:11
Blessed are ye, when
[men] shall revile you,
and persecute[you], and
shall say all manner of
evil againstyou falsely,
for my sake.
Luke 6:22 Blessed are ye, when men shall
hate you, and when they shall separateyou
[fromtheir company], and shall reproach
[you], and cast out your name as evil, for the
Son of man's sake.
Matt 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and
shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my
name's sake.
