Textile wall panels can be made from natural or engineered fibers like cotton, flax, silk, wool, rayon or polyester. They are available in various lengths and widths. Textile panels have features like flame resistance, abrasion resistance, and formaldehyde-free compositions. They can be installed using different track systems like panel snap anchors, Z-bar mounting, or impaling clips. Textile wall panels provide acoustic insulation, aesthetic appeal, and sustainability advantages while also having maintenance and flammability disadvantages.

Composite Materials: A composite material can be defined as a combination of two or more materials that results in better properties than those of the individual components used alone. The two constituents of a composite are a reinforcement and a matrix.
Matrix: The continuous phase is the matrix, made of polymer, metal, or ceramic.
Reinforcement: A strong, inert, woven and nonwoven fibrous material incorporated into the matrix to improve its mechanical and physical properties. For example, fibers, whiskers, particulate etc.

Fiberglass is a popular type of glass fiber-reinforced plastic. The fibers may be woven into a cloth, flattened into a sheet (known as a chopped strand mat), or randomly arranged. The plastic matrix can be either a thermoset polymer matrix (most commonly based on thermosetting polymers such as epoxy, polyester resin, or vinyl ester) or a thermoplastic matrix (most commonly based on thermoplastic polymers such as epoxy, polyester resin, or vinyl ester).

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

3. TEXTILE WALL PANELS
Textile wall coverings might be made from natural
fibres for example, cotton, flax, silk and wool,
likewise from engineered fibres for example, such
that rayon, polyester, polypropylene; or utilizing the
blending from claiming both characteristic of natural
and engineered fibres.
These panels can be made in a variety of lengths
and widths depending on the requirements.

Evaluate, Select, and Specify Materials, Editor: Elena M.S. Garrison
4. FEATURES
•Textile panels can be treated for better flame, abrasion and soil resistance.
•Special finishes can be done to improve stiffness, colour and stability.
Reference: https://fabricmate.com/
5. •They are formaldehyde-free
•It contains a minimum of 60% post-consumer recycled bottle glass
•The panels use an organic based adhesive, which requires 70% less energy
compared to regular petroleum bonding agents.
•They are100% recyclable

7. First we need to understand how the textile or fabric material is
wrapped or fixed onto the panels.
A widely used method is fabric track panels, in which tracks are
stud like frames. Fabric is tucked in the edges of the tracks. A core
is also installed as a base for the fabric to be sturdy.
Type of core/backing material will define the property of that
particular panel, for example, acoustical properties, sound
insulation or absorption, noise barrier, etc.
There are a numerous varieties of tracks used by different
companies. There are also custom made tracks made on order.
In this research we will show 3 ways a fabric panel can be installed
for wall cladding.

18. CLADDING FUNCTIONS
1. Wall cladding provides degree of insulation and
resistance to weathering
2. Can improve the aesthetic appearance of a
space without damaging or altering the main
concrete structure
3. Provide a shell for any kind of wirings and
networking
4. Can be made for any purposes of a space, e.g.
sound insulation, thermal insulation,
waterproofing, decorative, etc.
