2. Liberals LOVE Gun Control Essay
Liberals Love Gun Control
Gun Control can be called the acid test of liberalism. All true
liberals must favor stricter gun controls. After all, doesn t the United States
have the most heavily armed population on the earth? Are we not the world s most
violent people? Surely these facts must be at least casually connected.
Therefore the apparently desperate need to do something about the vast
quantity of firearms and firearms abuse is obvious.
Guns are employed in an enormous number of crimes in this country. In
other countries with stricter gun laws, gun crimes are rare. Many of the
firearms involved in crime are cheap handguns, so called Saturday Night Specials

The moderate gun control groups propose measures such as
requiring an individual to successfully complete a firearms safety course before
being allowed to possess a gun, or to wait for a mandatory period of time before
taking possession of a gun.
Today, there are approximately 20,000 different gun control lawsin
existence, ranging from those enacted by municipalities and states, to those
enacted by the federal government. Gun control is ineffective and tougher
sentencing of criminals and stricter parole policies would do far more to combat
crime.
Statistics show that Canada is less violent than the United States.
3. Fewer guns are only part of the story. The inner city slums of the United States
are murderous, bombed out looking places. American visitors to Canada s big
cities often ask where the slums are. The answer is that there really aren t any
slums, and the lack of violence there reflects it.
Canada s more generous welfare benefits and universal health insurance
have made for safer cities. The contrasts between extreme wealth and extreme
poverty are fewer and less striking. Poor inner city families do not
disintegrate to the extent they do in black American ghettos. Canadian murder
rates in big cities are about the same as in isolated rural areas.

Case Study #2: Maxxed Out: TJX Companies and the Largest Ever Consumer Data Breach
There are five components to the operations security process that companies use to analyze. These
five modules provide a company a full analysis of the risks, vulnerabilities, and threats of their data
and how to mitigate them. This process identifies all the critical information the company or
organization have such a credit card information like TJX had on their main server. Identifying this
information is crucial so the business knows what valuable assets, or data is being stored. If a
company does not recognize this material, the material is unprotected.

Also, TJX did not apply counter measures in place of those defined vulnerabilities or threats which
costed the company huge losses. If the company implemented the WPA securityprotocol, the risks
could have been small.
There are multiple methods to improve the security at TJX to prevent future breaches. The network
wireless system should be upgraded to Wi Fi Protected Access2, WPA2, from WEP. WPA2
provides the most secure protocol that is available on a wireless network. WPA2 uses Advanced
Encryption Standard to encrypt all the data when the data is in motion. AES encryption takes a
hacker months, even years to break. If the company wants customers to have free Wi Fi then have
two separate networks in which one is has a network password and other just requires a login with
terms and conditions.
For the wired/wireless connections, TJX can institute a virtual private network, or VPN, to connect
with the servers that have sensitive information. This allows the connection between the servers
and device to be secure but the data is not. VPN does have limitation such as devices, but is an
alternative to WPA2 and better than WEP. VPN is ideal for documents such as sales reports,
inventory, and strategies. TJX must implement these standards on all of the retail locations to
safeguard all the data being processed throughout the business day.

5. Revision of Master Narratives within Jane Eyre and Wide...
To be able to discuss adequately how the master narratives of Bronte and Rhys time are revised,
one must first understand what those master narratives were and what the social mood of the time
was. From there one will be able to discuss how they were revised, and if in fact they were revised
at all.
Bronte is known as one of the first revolutionary and challenging authoress with her text Jane Eyre.
The society of her time was male dominated, women were marginally cast aside and treated as
trophies for their male counterparts. Their main role in life was to be a mother and a wife,

Any sign of deviancy would be punished by the patriarchal system of that time, especially that of a
deviant girl. As the patriarch was entirely male, the oppression of the female gender was swift and
harsh.
At Lowood Jane ultimately has to conform to the rules and regulations of the male domination to
exist and live. Here she becomes a quiet...disciplined and subdued character. This time in Jane s life,
brings up questions and queries into whether Bronte does in fact revise master narratives, which I
will look at later on.
Throughout the course of the text this female character pulls herself up from no social standing
to somebody with a wealthy inheritance, eventually marrying the man she loves under her
conditions, without having to compromise her beliefs or herself. Jane s relationship with
Rochester is a key element of Bronte s revising the master narrative. She of course falls in love
with Rochester whilst she is a member of his staff, she has no independence of her own, whether
that be financial or otherwise. She ends up fleeing Thornfield, for despite her love of Rochester,
she wants to be equal, and knows he ultimately wants to master her. A sign of what a typical
Victorian marriage was like, in which the woman would submit to the man and obey his orders.
Bronte dissects this notion, as Jane does

Fifth Republic. Similar to the United States Constitution, the French Constitution can be amended
by the chambers of Parliament or a referendum. The last amendment to the French Constitution took
place on July 18, 2008. The revision impacted judicial powers as well as civil rights; it provided the
judicial branch a meaningful structure to examine past legislation to verify constitutionality. Within

Sam Schulman s The Worst Thing About Gay Marriage presents an interesting argument against
gay marriage that hinges upon maintaining a traditional form of marriage. He actually claims that
gay marriage is unnecessary (381). According to Schulman, there are 4 primary effects of marriage
within his definition he calls the kinship system. First, marriageprotects and controls a woman s
sexuality. Second, the possible pairings are limited by the kinship system to avoid incest or other
taboos. Third, marriage creates a situation where licit sex can occur. Fourth, it places a clear divide
between childhood innocence and adult, married, life. All of which is in addition to maintaining a
standard family hierarchy, in which a marriage almost... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Marriage has evolved over time. Once, far back in history, when states were run in close
cooperation with religious leaders, a marriage was strictly the dominion of the church, and the
only definition was much like the one above (though they were more lax in avoiding incest than
I would suspect Schulman s proposed structure would be). In the eyes, there had to be a system
where sex would be legitimized, while women and children were protected from it and its
consequences. This made sense when repeated sex acts would almost definitely cause
pregnancy, and possibly spread disease. As religion and government split into different
organizations, each retained a definition of marriage that was a bit different from the other.
Since religion held sway over what was considered pure and good, it took it upon itself to retain
the parts of the old structure that dealt with the morality and social responsibility of marriage,
and this is generally considered to be a social structure of marriage. And now, the social form of
marriage is migrating into being controlled by the couple who are being married instead of their
church. The government, on the other hand, became able to define who would be able to marry
and place official benefits and restrictions on a married couple, creating a legal structure of
marriage that was not the same as the social one. While

The values referred to earlier by Blunkett and Phillips are being used to describe Britain by the
means of shared values. Blunkett also suggests that Britain s institutions such as the NHS and the

British identity is open to all citizens , (Clarke, 2009, p.221). That British is as British does. It is

Parekh supports the view that Britain has become a multi ethnic and multicultural society and

firemen set books that people have been hoarding or reading illegally on fire. In this dystopian
society, literature is banned for the fear that it will incite people to think and question the status quo
of their society: happiness and freedom from the elimination of controversy (Sisario 201).
Throughout the novel, Bradbury uses several direct quotations from different works of literature in

For the most part, everyone has friends. Some people show more loyalty to their friends than
others. For example, Magnus Chase from the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard series. As
Magnus attempts to stop Loki and not die again, he relies on his friends as his rock. As a result, in
Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard: The Sword of Summer , Rick Riordanuses hyperboles,
irony, and the antagonist to help show Magnus unrelenting loyalty to his friends. First of all, in
the book of Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard from Rick Riordan, one way Magnus loyalty
is shown is through hyperboles. For example, in the 25th chapter, it describes the battle between
the dragon Mr. Alderman, Magnus, Jack, Blitzen, and Hearthstone. In the book series, to kill a
dragon affects someone s fate, and Magnus decides that he won t put Hearthstone through affecting
his own fate. It says, My insides fluttered at the thought of killing the dragon, but there was no way
I d let Hearthstone take the fall for that. Riordan, page 221. This evidence is significant because it
shows the hyperbolethat shows Magnus s allegiance to Hearthstone. The hyperbole in this statement
is that his insides fluttered ; but, in this statement, Magnus is willing to harm his own fate for
Hearthstone. This shows a great amount of loyalty, something that many people may not have been

20. Weber s Principles Of Formal Rationality
Even so, the strength of Weber s analysis of bureaucratization cannot be used as definitive proof to
support the assertion of growing rationality. Although bureaucracies clearly do use principles of
formal rationality through calculation (Ritzer, 2010, p. 47) and by changing the material and social
orders [...] through a rational determination of means to ends (Weber, 1922/1978, p. 1116), they do
not necessarily represent a real shift to this form. Weber does convincingly establish bureaucracyas
an example of rational action. However, the process of bureaucratization arguably only
demonstrates an increase in the actual expression of formal rationality, in that people may have
become more effective in translating an orientation towards formal rationality into actions that are
evidently bureaucratic. By using an increase in bureaucracy as support for rationalization, Weber is
connecting changing actions with a concurrent change in orientation, even though the former may
have possibly been enabled by a shift in external factors. Either way, Weber s argument remains
effective in demonstrating the growth of bureaucracies, and provides valuable support for the
increase of rationalization in general. Furthermore, in addition to his examination of
bureaucratization, Weber was also particularly interested in the effects the growth of bureaucratic
organization would have on society. In terms of the possible influence of bureaucracies, Weber did

Constructivism is an early 20th century movement in Russia. Movements in objects are combined
into basic forms. It has influenced many pieces of modern architecture and design. Lissitzky was
working on a very important part to spread a Constructivism program beyond Russia. He spent time

And then from Germany, this program spread into other places, including the Untied States.
In 1923, he was diagnosed with tuberculosis and his health declined. He was not allowed to travel

24. Theories Of Learning Behavior Theories
There are over 100 theories of learning behaviour that can be applied to behaviour in the classroom.
In the field of education, research has shown that teachers spend as much time engaged in
classroom behaviour management as they do teaching, therefore, this shows the importance of
learning behaviour theories. Firstly, what is learning? Learning can be defined as developing newly
learnt skills, new knowledge and understanding concepts. We recognise learning as there is a better
understanding or a change in behaviour. It is essential to comprehend that learning associates
different understandings to many people and is used accordingly in various theories. This essay is
divided into three parts: first, addressing the definition of behaviour, secondly, the explanation of a
Learning Theory (Behaviourism) and lastly this paper will look at the classical and operant
conditioning theory illustrating how these environmental concepts affects children s learning in the
classroom. Bulotsky Shearer et al., (2012) mentioned that children who have difficulty regulating
their emotions, paying attention, initiating peer interactions and sustaining engagement in learning
tasks are at risk for learning difficulties. This essay will demonstrate how the above mentioned
behaviours can cause learning difficulties in children in the classroom. The Oxford Dictionary
defines behaviour as the way in which one acts or conducts oneself, especially towards others

25. North African Campaign Essay
When someone mentions World War Two the first thing that comes to mind is probably D Day or
Pearl Harbor or maybe even Berlin, while the North African Campaign is often forgotten. Three of
the notable campaigns that occurred in Africa at this time were Operation Torch, Operation
Tunisia, and the Western Desert Campaign; These campaigns took place from June 10th, 1940 to
May 13th, 1943. When talking about any war or great struggle, there are three things to know:
who were influential figures of this struggle, what methods or types of warfare they used, and
what were the important victories or defeats. During the second world war, waged on the second
largest continent in the world, there were people who literally changed the outcome of this great
struggle. Two of these people were: Bernard Montgomery fighting for the allies, and Erwin Rommel
, the infamous Desert Fox fighting for the axis.
Montgomery saw action in the First World War as a junior officer of the Royal Warwickshire
Regiment, however this ended prematurely when he was shot through the lung by a sniper. He
later returned to the front three years later in 1917 as a general staff officer before ending the war
as chief of staff of the 47th (2nd London) Division. During the Second World War he commanded

Over the last two decades the Australian population has faced a number of economic instabilities
that has seen the gap between the haves and have nots increase. To determine who the haves and
have nots are an in depth investigation will be performed examining the circumstances under
which the gap can be manipulated. The economic wellbeing of individuals is largely determined
by their command over economic resources (ABS, 2009). The wellbeing of individuals who are
classified as haves are usually people who are asset rich, contain bonds, shares and are fairly
affluent. The wellbeing of individuals who are classified as have nots are usually the working poor,

Australia is a market economy which distributes income to factors of production land, labour,
capital and enterprise. Income as defined by L. Kirkwood et al as the inflow of money to one
sector of an economy from another. The distribution of income in the economy is in the form of
wages, salaries, rent, interests and profit, all which are distributed by the factors of production
(L. Kirkwood et al: 2006). Unlike income, wealth is the stock of goods and assets owned by
individuals and the nation as a whole at a given period of time L. Kirkwood et al: 2006). As well
as possessions individuals can also obtain wealth through education or obtaining a particular
skill. It is with wages and salaries that determine the income and the next most important
category government pensions and cash benefits L. Kirkwood et al: 2006). In the 21st century the
unemployed or sole parent households become reliant on income support and non wage benefits L.

there are certain ethical and legal issues that arise and ones that holds all those medical and health

Background
Horniman Horticulture is a whole sale nursery business that has been owned by Maggie and Bob
for three years. They have seen an increase in business and number of plants grown at the nursery
and are expecting demand to continue to grow. In 2005, the business s profit margin was expected
to grow to 5.8% up from 3.1% in 2003. This projected growth seems accurate considering Maggie s
conservative approach with the companies cash balance. Handling the finances, Maggie dislikes
debt financing because of her fear of holding too much inventory and thus not being able to make
interest payments. Since the business relies on good weather conditions with some mature plants

working capital for 2006 would be $235,900 which would cause them a negative cash balance of

increased 19% and total assets increased 14.4%. This is due primarily to the increase in inventory
and accounts receivable. In the four years from 2002 to 2005 inventory has increased 8.7% and

Financial Ratio Analysis Even though their business was growing significantly, and they were

30. Lagoon 620 Catamaran Review
Overview:
The Lagoon 620 Catamaran was designed for the ultimate luxury experience. The vessel is
simply big with an emphasis on space and comfort. The comfort extends far beyond the interior
and makes itself known in how the boat sails. For a catamaran of such an impressive scale, the
vessel was engineered to remain stable and perform well in any sea conditions. This Lagoon 620
Catamaran Review will focus on each aspect of the 620 and how it measures up to the expectations
of a sailor.
Accommodation:
The main draw of the 620 is its incredible capacity for everything. The vessel was built on a large
scale that can house all passengers in comfort. The boat is almost a hotel room that can maneuver

It is 62 feet long and 31 feet wide, making it decidedly bigger than your traditional catamaran.
The size shouldn t fool you, however. The vessel is stable and the size probably works in its
favor in this capacity. The motion of the boat is not as obvious as with a smaller vessel, creating a
smoother ride. Weather conditions also have a lesser impact onboard the 620, so controlling the
vessel is practically unaffected by moderate seas or rain.
Under Sail:
The advantage of a vessel of this size is that it is more difficult to displace by waves and weather.
The design is sold and massive, so the boat is almost like a boulder in the water in relation to the
seas. The 620 can cut a swath through the water cleanly and efficiently with almost no effort. The
vessel creates the illusion that you are in command of not only the vessel, but the sea as well. This
boat certainly makes you feel like royalty!
Interior:
Luxuriousness bordering on opulence is the best way to describe the interior of the 620. The
cabins are huge and can accommodate more people without piling everyone on top of each
other. The saloon and galley have enough space to allow passengers to spread out and relax or
entertain each other. The cook can also communicate with passengers due to open design that
increases the space and lends itself to socializing. Storage space is ample and there is no worry that
comfort or personal items will need to be sacrificed to make room for

William Godwin, and Mary Wollstonecraft.
What Does it Mean to be Human? Individual and Society

Theory. It gives a way of thinking about what it means to be human, raising fundamental questions

Mary Shelley s father, William Godwin (1756 1836), was a well known political anarchist. In
Enquiry Concerning Political Justice (1793), Godwin argued that government is fundamentally
unjust, and functions primarily to uphold economic inequality between rich and poor. Godwin was
highly critical of social contract theory; the conversation between Victor and the creature
regarding a mate exemplifies several of Godwin s criticisms (pp. 97 100). We could read this
passage as a social contract between Victor and the creature: if Victor makes a mate, the creature
promises never to return. Godwin asked why parties to the social contract should trust each other
to keep their promises; Victor agrees to the bargain, but didn t trust the creature to keep his
promise, predicting he would return in revenge. Their bargain sounds more like blackmail than a
contractual arrangement. Godwin also worried about future generations who were not parties to
the original agreement, and had never promised to abide by a government s laws. Victor was
concerned about this; realizing that even if the creature kept his end of the agreement, the female
had made no such promise. He had sworn to quit the neighborhood of man, and hide himself in
deserts; but she had not; and she, who in all probability was to become a thinking and reasoning
animal, might refuse to comply with a compact made before her creation (114).

Abstract: The Truths and Myths of Divorce in America There are many facets to all divorces.
Why did a divorce happen, who is affected, and how do you move on? All of these questions are at
the forefront of not only the couple s mind, but also their families. Answering the question of who
is more likely to get divorced is a way to dive in to see why divorcehappens and whom it affects.
Next, diving in even deeper to issues of divorce, the question of how children are affected plays a
large role in the problem of many divorced families. Children can have many different reactions to
a divorce that can trouble them for their entire lifetime, not just the few years after making a
family adjustment. Finally, divorce takes on a negative connotation in our society and rightly so;
however, people fail to recognize that the divorce rates of America are actually decreasing since the
1970s and 1980s. Although divorces are still to frequent in America, it is encouraging to know that
the sanctity of marriageis still engrained in our society, and thankfully over the next decades we
can hopefully see an even greater decline in divorce rates.

Macbeth:
The thin line between tragedy and dark humor.

most college kids can relate to they are ...not bad people we re just underachievers that have to

commit. Not to mention they are struggling for the seat of power over (DUN DUN DUN..) a local

in a food fight and he sneaks into the bathroom to avoid the situation. Macbeth, who practically runs

motion dramatics in this scene made it hilarious and should be noted.

The Correlation Between the Seasons and Flooding

flooding has to do with the plumbing. If water or sewer lines happen to break, they can make a
huge mess.
Preventing Flooding
Ann Arbor, Michigan residents have unique challenges when it comes to home maintenance. The
spring is the most common time of the year for flooding to occur, but there is little that can be
done to fix this problem in the winter season that happens beforehand. It is just too cold and wet
outside to do any repairs. So this means that work done to prevent floods usually has to happen in
the summer or early fall seasons. Some of the preventative repairs that can be done during this time

42. Compare And Contrast Tsunamis And Hurricanes
The warm sun is hitting your body. You can feel the squishy sand between your toes, and the waves
are coming ashore. It is going to be a great day, right? Tsunamis and hurricanes are natural
phenomena that cause mass destruction in an instant. Tsunamis are giant waves caused by
earthquakes in the ocean; whereas, hurricanes are large funnels of water and debris originating
from the ocean. Tsunamis and hurricanes start in the ocean, and both cause mass destruction when
they hit land, but they are still two completely different storms. The most noticeable difference
between a tsunamiand a hurricane is the cause of each. A tsunami is the aftermath of an underwater
earthquakeor volcanic eruption. The force of the earthquake or eruption, along with the moving of
the tectonic plates, sends large amounts of water in all directions. The waves can be thousands of
feet high when they reach the shoreline. These giant waves can arrive at a moment s notice with no
warning. The tsunami is a large natural phenomenon originating from the ocean, but it is not the
only phenomenon to start in the ocean.

43. What Is The Divide Between The Paleolithic Period And The...
The divide between the Paleolithic period and the Neolithic period could not be greater. However,
both time periods rely on each others advancements for the ultimate development of art, and
architecture. The Paleolithic time period is divided into three sections, lower, middle and upper.
This time period is essentially the beginning of human control over the environment. Humans were
now beginning to leave their mark, so to speak. During this time period, humans relied on hunting,
fishing, and farming for their survival, they began drawing in caves at this time. Cave art was the
ancient version of murals. The art depicted what the ancient culture valued most, life. During this
time period, creation was important and essential. Artists depicted everyday life and animals
because that is what they depended on for their livelihood.
Two Bison, sculpted from clay and found in a cave in Le Tuc d Audoubert, France ca 15,000
10,000 BCE (Gardner and Kleiner, 2014). Sculpted from the walls of the interior of the cave is two
bison who stand in darkness, alone in a cave, waiting to be discovered for thousands of years. The
details of the Two Bison is sharp and clearly depicted, the Two Bison is just one of many examples
of Paleolithic Art that remains today. Some pieces found in caves where they waited for
thousands of years to be discovered and appreciated all over again. The Paleolithic time period was
also known as the old stone age (Gardner and Kleiner, 2014). This period of time

44. Vegetable Puree Experiment
If the vegetable puree is zucchini puree, then the moisture content will increase. The purpose of
this experiment is to determine whether adding vegetable puree to cupcakes increases the
moisture content. No one likes a dry cupcake, so if there is a way to add moisture, then this should
happen. Another benefit to this experiment is that by adding vegetable puree it can be a healthier
alternative as opposed to normal cupcakes. The experiment was interesting because baking is
something that is done very often, and is always great to find ways to improve the food. This
project is meant to achieve better tasting cupcakes, that are also healthier and have better texture.
In a similar project, certain ingredients were taken out of the cupcake. ... Show more content on

Instead of replacing the butter with avocado puree and zucchini puree, the puree was added along
with the butter. This is part of the reason there was too much moisture, especially with the zucchini
cupcakes.
The hypothesis was supported. The zucchini cupcakes contained the most moisture. The moisture
content was 16.5 grams. The moisture content for the avocado cupcakes was 15.5 grams. And the
control cupcakes had a moisture content of 14.4 grams. The science behind the experiment was that
when vegetables are added the moisture content increases, which makes for a better cupcake. The
percent difference was 20%.
The science behind this experiment was the chemistry within baking. The different ingredients in
each batch of cupcakes had a different outcome. Each batch looked and tasted different. This
shows how changing one little thing can have a very different result. This is also a way to show
what is good for your body. The cupcakes without vegetable puree are not as healthy like the
zucchini and avocado cupcakes

45. Gender Bias Essay
Gender bias, also known as sexism, is a full of attitudes, laws, taboos, preferences, and behaviors
that differentiates and discriminates against either sex. These may be a position of which male
dominance and female subjugation in the modern society. It could also be a form of sexual
stereotypes between men and women, these are commonly experienced in employment versus
other positions. A final place that discrimination is faced is the academic environment, the
female to male ratios are not in sync in certain programs and courses because of this and it is
pressuring men and women to not go into certain fields and do what they love and please. Most
advertisements on Television, magazines, newspapers, online ad s, use a charged sexually
image with a female as the star. Women are to be a pleasure for men, and nothing else. Many
people have different opinions on genders and sexuality and that is okay, but sometimes you just
need to keep them to yourselves. I was walking through Walmart with a friend the other night,
and we turned the corner to go down an aisle and they were walking towards us. As we
approached them, they moved out of the way, so we could get through. There were 5 male
specimens, around the ages of 20 24, two white, one Hispanic, and two black guys. Most of
them were very tall, both white guys were thin and lean, the Hispanic guy was short and lean,
and the two black guys were tall and thick. All five of the guys dress in upper class clothes such
as Nike, Adidas, Under armor. As I observed these guys, they were in a group of friends. They
were walking according to race, two white guys in the front, and then the Hispanic guy was in the
middle, and following him was the two black guys. They were very respectful when we turned the
corner and let us go through, as we passed them they went back into their formation. Two white
guys in the front, and then the Hispanic in the middle, and the two black guys in the back. I also
observed that they were having separate conversations among themselves. As it appeared to me, it
looked like they were just socializing and spending time together, and goofing around. They could
have been shopping but none of them had anything in their hands at the time that we

46. Atlanta s Journey-Personal Narrative
Atlanta, the center of the world. Jewel of the Carolinian federation. That s what everyone calls
it. I ve lived here for over ten years and made my existence in the outer skirts. Farmlands and rice
fields are what I know; it s what I learned. Everyone seems to love their vegetables. Corn, rice,
greens, and gourds. Few require the want or money to need red meat regularly. It s not like we
have too much space to raise beef cows anyway. The thing I remember about my mother and
father are they could not keep me. I remember them going on a train and chugging away in God
knows what direction, I was but four years old. I didn t even have a photo of them. I got to
reference. For many times, I ve described their likeness to the city records painter.... Show more

love with a duo. I look at the clock again and see it s already 8. The shop should be busy with
gossipers from the announcement. I put on my sleep clothes like a sloth, one piece at a time at
molasses pace. I start up the creaky stairs to my room and see out the window the city still
showing its colors on the walls, banners, and lights alike. The bed is cold, but it warms up
quickly. I love how my silver and blue covers seek to keep me warm like a comforting thing
wrapping around my body protecting me. What will tomorrow hold? What will next week hold?
Next month? It s like Fox said, These times are times to protect each other. What will I do to
answer this call? I can t fight! I can farm, serve, and make a home! And who says that s not
contributing? I fall to sleep thinking about the future of Carolina. The future of Atlanta, the future of

47. Tax Evasion Ethical Analysis
With a higher level of tax morale, an individual is more likely to remain compliant to tax laws
even when the economic punishment for tax evasion is lacking. This being said, it is fair to
suggest that the alternate position of committing tax evasion is a result of a low ethical sense of
duty. A low ethical sense of duty correlates with poor ethicsin an individual. Therefore, the lower
the ethical sense of duty, than the lower taxmorale an individual is likely to have. Having a low tax
morale means that an individual is more susceptible to committing tax evasion. This shows that
those who are ethically weak have a greater likelihood of committing tax evasion.
One key quality shown in an individual who is ethically weak is their poor perception ... Show more

Through this survey, they hoped to rank the main arguments that have been used to justify tax
evasion on ethical grounds over the last 500 years meaning that they hoped to find which
arguments carried to the most influence to prove that in that instance it is ethical (pg. 1). While
collecting data to ultimately rank these arguments, Nickerson et al. (2009) clumped data together
in accordance to the country of the participants. They took the mean scores from the survey,
based on a scale of 1 being always ethical and 7 being never ethical, and compared them based on
country. They found that the United Kingdom has the lowest mean average from the survey at
4.15, suggesting a low resistance to tax evasion, while United States participants average a 5.62,
suggesting a high tax compliance. These findings are a result of a combination of the community
perceptions, the countries tax penalties, and the perceptions of the government. This proves that
all three factors that lead to poor ethics in an individual play an extremely large role in whether or
not an individual will commit tax evasion. If economic reasons where the root of whether or not an
individual would commit tax evasion or not, then the graph would be arranged differently and have
different mean averages that only correlated to the risk of

48. The Impacts Of The Japanese Internment Of Japanese Americans
On February 19th, 1942 in the midst of world war two 120,000 Americans were put prison for
their ethnic background. These people may have been of Japanese descent but I am steadfast in
the belief that they were no less american than anyone else. The interment of the Japanese
americans was a racist, unjust, and illogical act the will forever leave a stain on america s honor
as a nation. Moving on, the interment of the Japanese Americans was a immensely racist action
primarily for its indifference to other races. The internment of Japanese Americans only imprisoned
those of Japanese descent. Furthermore, America justified this as a war act but the war was not
against japan, it was against Japan, Italy, and Germany. Now one would ask, were people... Show

The internment of Japanese Americans includes people of all heights, sizes, and ages. With this
being said, some people many not have been physically or mentally ready for being incarcerated.
As a result nearly 1,900 Japanese americans died in internment camps. May it be by natural
causes or unnatural causes the chaos and stress of relocating indisputably ushered it on.
Furthermore the relocation hurt the west coast economically. Without the Japanese businesses
and employees companies had to find new workers and new businesses to receive goods from.
Also with japanese people gone so was a major chunk of money with them. With a loss in money
the west coast must have suffered a kind of mini depression. In other words becauses there was
less money circulating the west coast the value of money shoots upward. Next, since store prices
are not yet calibrated to this new total money people will run out of money causes the store prices
to rise because the stores are not getting enough money. Lastly the imprisonment of the japanese
americans cost more money than it was worth. To imprison 120,000 people it takes several million
if not billion, some of these some of these costs are attributed from meals, transportation, water,
electricity, building, military supervision. Overall the incarceration of 120,000 Japanese americans
is an action that America will regret for the
