truth about common claims based on inference. This implies that every truth or claim should be the

thinkers while making money at the same time. Unfortunately for students, this process is not in
their favor. In an increasingly capitalistic society, universities have gradually evolved into
businesses. An example of this corporatization of the academy is the adjunct professor. Through no
fault of their own, adjuncts have become pawns in a money making process which inevitably harms
the students by violating their freedom and reason.
Adjunct professors are hired by the university in order to save money. This tactic, however,

working at the university and therefore would not be able to devote a lot of time to students.

Almost everything that the North tried to accomplish with Reconstruction failed. The blacks were
freed from slavery, but they did not receive equal rights in any sense. The Republicans tried to
prevent the reestablishment of the Democratic Party in the South and once again failed.
Reconstruction was marked by much corruption and unstable government and did not actually
accomplish much.
One of the major issues of the Civil War was slavery, and even with a victory by the North, blacks
rights did not improve very much. Throughout individual Southern states, Black Codes were passed

Xenophanes was a Greek philosopher before the Socratic era whose conception of God was
different from other philosophers of his time. Before the evolution of God as a non human entity
the ancient Greeks believed that Gods and Goddesses were similar to that of humans and the only
distinction was that Gods were immortal and humans were mortal. He challenged openly the
concept of divinity proposed by Homer and put forward his ideas of Godthrough his poetic

My Puppet Making Journey
In the following essay I will be discussing and explaining the various aspects of my puppet
making journey. This includes the style I have chosen to use, as well as what and who influenced

As mentioned before I volunteer at Peninsula Elementary s SUN program. Many of the workers
volunteer, while a small amount get paid. Whether volunteering on their free time or getting paid,

program speak english, however, a large percentage come from different cultures and backgrounds
