This document discusses technoculture and risk in society. It introduces concepts from Ulrich Beck and Anthony Giddens about risk society and how modernization introduces risks and insecurities. Everyday life increasingly depends on digital technology for communication, commerce, education, and more. However, technology also introduces risks like viruses, data corruption, and health issues. While technology provides solutions to problems it causes, it also means risks and solutions are embedded within the same systems, making it impossible to anticipate all harms. The document argues we must use technology critically and have backup plans to avoid getting trapped in a cycle of technological problems and solutions.

 we live in increasingly digital world.
 Everyday life, shopping to education depends
heavily on technology.
 Communication –mobile
 Online shopping
 Entertainment
 Access to information
 Commerce
 Even in literature also we can see for example
poem written by Krushn Dave ‘Vasaladi.com,
‘morpich.com’, ‘Vrindavan akhu.com’

5.  As soon as risk become real they become
disaster.
 Example:
1) Suppose right now I am giving
my presentation and the projector stops than
it becomes disaster.
2) Indian cricket batting line up.
 Risks are potential disaster.
 Example:
Our everyday life is also surrounded by
risks. But problem from where is we know
about it. It was already there before we know
it is there.

Risk – ‘Virus’, ‘illegal operation’, corruption
of hard disk and so on.
Solution – Contact the help centre,
download anti-virus and update your PC.
• Aqua guard
Risk- kills vitamins and other minerals by
purifying water.

• NOTICE-
That both risk and solution
are embedded in the same system.
• First do no harm is the prudential norm
of choice, but it is impossible to
anticipate all possible harms.

9. When we are using technology
at that time we have some problems
also. But point is that we must have to
go back technology for solutions. For
example when our pen drive corrupted
at that time also once again we go to
technology for help.
So, from these types of
examples we can say technology is
always risky.

10. CONCLUSION
So after all we can
say that everything has its both sides as
same like coin. And in using technology
also the same useful as well as risky. But
it not mean that we are stop to using it.
But if we have to work with technology so
we must have to be ready with plan A,B
and C. And for solution we have to go
outside the technology otherwise we are
stuck in the vicious cycle of problem and
solution.
