Role Statement: (Brief description of the purpose of the job)
To lead a designated team of employees, supported by the Production/ Logistics Supervisor, to achieve the site standards at all
times in respect of safety, quality and efficiency. To be a role model in respect of best practice, coaching and instructing in
technical skills as required and monitoring workplace behaviours. To prioritise and organise the workload of the team, provide
expert advice and administrative support. To be the main point of contact for communication between the Supervisor and the
team.
Key tasks of the job:
Conduct or attend ‘GO’ meetings on all shifts
Ensure the cascade of communication as directed by Supervisors/ Managers
Complete thorough, documented shift handovers
Prioritise and organise work for all team members
Resolve and find permanent solutions to any quality, material, production and tooling issues
Complete employee administration - including holiday, overtime, absence and return to work interviews
Input of relevant and timely information to Company systems – distribute as required
Monitor housekeeping – check all sheets (5S+1, TPM, QCPC, IPCR’s, etc.)
Maintain quality, environmental, health & safety requirements
Conduct Behavioural Based Safety observations
Provide guidance and assistance for all team members including training when required
Challenge behaviours and actions that contradict Company values and rules
Input additional feedback to appraisal process
Assign new starters to ‘buddies’ and organise training as required
Complete low level disciplinary investigation and grievances
Assume control of team during emergency evacuations and Health & Safety issues
Ensure security for area of responsibility
Duties may, from time to time, include other tasks outside of this specification as deemed reasonable by the Supervisor or Department Manager.

2. Desirable – CMI Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management
Experience required:
Minimum of 5 years experience in a related Manufacturing/ Stores Process
A high level of ability with experience in decision making on production/stores problems is essential
Particular skill / aptitude required:
JUDGEMENT
Judgement is required on a daily basis. The level of judgement is mainly Technical and Supervisory in content. Individual
interpretation and application will be required at times.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Responsible for leading the team during the designated shift
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
