Technology has been developed for producing and combusting coal-water fuel (CWF) in small-scale power engineering applications. The technology includes grinding coal into a fine powder, mixing it with water and additives to form a stable CWF suspension using a cavitation generator. Models were created to simulate CWF combustion and optimize furnace designs. Pilot boilers ranging from 1.5 to 7 MW have been successfully operated for over 3 years using CWF made from coal or coal waste. Converting existing oil- or coal-fired boilers to use CWF can reduce fuel costs by over 35% and lower emissions.

land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in

Fun Facts • Gas Flaring in North Dakota produces as much pollution as 2 coal fired power plants. • Low industry estimates of gas well leakage are 7% within 20 years. • 44% of the electricity generated in the United States is from coal fired plants. • Power generation in the United States consumes more freshwater than agricultural and home use combined. • While it produces fewer carbon dioxide emissions than other fuels, natural gas is a major source of methane, another greenhouse gas. • Coal Power plants average 30% efficiency, Gas power plants average 54% efficiency • If 1 in 10 children in the U.S. are “bad” the total amount of coal Santa would deliver would equal over 27 million pounds.
