1. I think having the model on the front cover wear an outfitsimilar
to this i.e.black would work well with the colour scheme ofthe
magazine.As a teenage girl,the colour black is a classic and
oftenviewedas fashionable.The dark clothingwill also make
the magazine appear more mature which targets the older
teenage audience insteadofbrightly colouredclotheswhich
stereotypicallyappealsto youngerpreteens.The white
background will contrast the clothingalong with the pink
colouringinvolvedin the girl’s magazine howeverthe black text
will helpensure it doesn’tlook out of place.
On the front cover I am planning to use a mediumclose up. This
means make up and accessorieswill be visable.I feel that a
brightlycoloured lipstickwill work well in presentinga female
targeted magazine by showingthat the pop artist is clearlyinto
fashionand herappearance which is expected.Ifpossible,the
model can wear hoop/diamondearrings to create more ofa
glamouros persona.
A plain background is typical for a pop music magazine cover and
conforms to the conventions.I thinkevery colour whichpresent
works well with white and helpsthe magazine look professional.
I want the hair ofthe model to be down and not in an up-doo
because longerhair isstereotypicallymore girly and feminine
which will appeal to the TA.
