1. Scene Location About the location Why I picked the
location
Applied to the
conventions of my
genre
Pan shots
of scenery
with cars
going past
Filmed from a window,
inside if anything is needed
I thought that the location
was perfect for what I
wanted. I was in great
position to film the passing
cars. The lighting is also
really interesting because of
the colour of the street
lights in the dark
At night when the
lighting is low I feel it fits
well with my genre as
conventionally there is a
lot of low lighting used
Walking
shots and
close up
shots
2 minute walk from
Bourne End so if anything
is needed
I really likes the
atmosphere of this
location as it is slightly
run down and no people
around it gives that
unknown feel, with dark
lighting I think that this
will work very effectively
I think that this
location will fit in well
with my chosen genre
as one of the reasons I
chose it was I felt it
fitted well with the
conventions of
alternative because of
the atmosphere
created
Close up
shots and
walking
shot
2 minute walk from
Bourne End so if anything
is needed
I like how there is a long
pathway I think this
would be effective for my
walking scenes. There is
one feature light and
think that it would look
good on the camera
As there is only one
main light scores when
it is dark (the street
light) I want to use dark
lighting as in my
research I saw that
dark lighting was a
common convention in
the genre alternative
2. Close up and
mid shots of
the model
playing the
guitar
Inside if anything is need.
Controlled lighting
I needed a plain background
for the filming as I didn’t
want to take away from the
artist, I also want some
shots inside to have a
contrast and also I want the
controlled lighting that
inside offers
You often see the use of
guitar in the genre of
alternative and having
the plain wall keeps it
simple and doesn’t grab
attention which I feel fits
with the genre
Pan shots
of the
scene
2 minute walk from
Bourne End so if anything
is needed
I really liked the
atmosphere in this
setting, I like how lonely
it is as there is no one
around. The lighting is
also interesting as it is a
harsh yellow and I think
this would work well
under the camera
I think the creation of
atmosphere will fit in
well with my genre as in
my research I found it
was a common
convention. Also by
having no one around it
puts more of the focus on
the artist
