1. Target Audience definition
I have collected and analysed my questionnaire results
to help me find out who my target audience are.
My Target Audience are between the agesranges of 16
to 28 and because the video has violent themes, it is
more aimed towards males. My questionnaire
responses has shown that my target audience has a
variety of favourite genres with some preferring
electronic music and some preferring R’n’B music but
predominantly Rock and Indie/Alternative music is
most preferred which is what I wanted as they
coincide with my song choice. I have also found out
that they like all three kinds of music video almost as
much as each other, this gives me a bit of freedom
knowing that whichever I decide to do, it will not
affect the success of the video much. I asked my
Target Audience what their favourite music video was
at the moment and as I expected, I got a mixed
response ranging from pop music (Miley Cyrus) to
Progressive Rock/Metal (Tool) which the music video
for these are so different.
Overall, My Target Audience is from the ages of 16 to
28 which is shown from my questionnaire and is
predominantly male as the themes within my video
stereotypically
do not appeal
to females.
