Jessie is the target audience for the pop music magazine. She is a 13-year-old girl who loves pop artists like One Direction, Justin Bieber, Jessie J, Olly Murs, The Vamps and Ariana Grande. To attract readers like Jessie, the magazine features pop artists on the cover and uses a title with vocabulary that teenage fans would recognize, such as "Smash Hits Vibe."

1. Question 4&5: Who are your target audience and how did
you attract and address them?
This is Jessie:
Jessie is the sort of girl that I would expect to buy my Pop music magazine. She is 13
years old, single and loves boys. Her favourite band is One Direction. Her idol is Justin
Bieber. (she's listened to him since she was 8) She also likes Jessie J, Olly Murs, The
Vamps and Ariana Grande. The last album she bought was Ariana Grande newest
album named ‘My Everything’. Jessie likes to go to events like T4 on the beach where
she can chill out and listen to her favourite music and artists. The last concert she went
to was Olly Murs at Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham. She is looking forward to T4 on
the beach this year and any more concerts that her favourite artists perform in. To attract
my target audience I have used various forms and conventions on the cover of my music
magazine. Firstly I have used vocabulary that my target audience understands and may
of heard from their favourite artists for example the title on my music magazine is
“Smash Hits Vibe” which is used by artists because there songs are titled as smash hits.
I have also featured artists that relate to pop on the cover of my music magazine which
include artists that my target audience would listen to or be interested in.
