This document provides guidance for teaching demonstrations which are used in faculty job interviews. It outlines the do's and don'ts of demonstrations, such as sticking to the topic, engaging learners, and having a backup plan if technology fails. It also introduces the BOPPPS lesson planning method, which stands for Bridge-in, Objective, Pre-assessment, Participatory learning, Post-assessment, and Summary. Attendees practiced designing a short lesson using this method. The document concludes by summarizing the do's and don'ts and confirming the presenters followed the BOPPPS structure in their demonstration.
