The Spiral Development Model is a systems development method used in information technology that combines prototyping and the waterfall model. It involves defining the problem, creating preliminary designs and prototypes, evaluating strengths/weaknesses of prototypes, and iteratively improving prototypes until the customer is satisfied, at which point the final system is constructed, tested, and maintained. It allows estimates to become more realistic as work progresses and is easier to cope with typical software changes than traditional lifecycle models.

The document discusses regression testing, which involves re-testing software after changes to ensure existing functionality still works properly and new changes do not cause unintended issues. It describes the types of regression testing as regular, done between test cycles, and final, done before release. It outlines best practices for regression testing like classifying test cases by priority and selecting relevant ones based on changes. The document provides guidance on resetting test cases, executing the regression tests, and concluding the results.
This document provides instructions and questions for a 50 question, 37.5 minute sample exam for the CAST Certified Associate in Software Testing certification. The exam covers topics such as software testing techniques, metrics, defect management, quality assurance, and Agile methodologies. It tests knowledge in areas like test planning, automation, risk analysis, and new technologies including virtualization, the Internet of Things, and DevOps.
The document discusses the V-model, a sequential software development process where each phase must be completed before the next begins and testing occurs in parallel to development phases. It notes the V-model is simple, allows early defect detection, and works well for small projects with fixed requirements, but is rigid with no early prototypes and changes can require updating many documents. In conclusion, the V-model is best for small-medium projects when requirements are clear and resources are available, but high customer confidence is needed as there is risk with no prototypes.
Defect life cycle and Defect Status Life Cyclepavansmiles
The document describes the defect life cycle process. It involves defects being reported by testers as new, assigned to developers for analysis and fixing, then assigned back to testers for retesting. If the fix is satisfactory, the defect is closed, but if not it is reopened for further work by developers. The defect status changes through stages from new to open, fixed, closed or reopened depending on where it is in the process.

The document discusses software development life cycles (SDLC). It describes the typical stages of an SDLC including feasibility study, requirements analysis, system design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance. Several SDLC models are mentioned, including waterfall, spiral, iterative, prototyping, and RAD (rapid application development). The waterfall model is described as having distinct sequential stages with no overlap between phases. Prototyping and RAD methodologies are also explained in further detail.
The document introduces the incremental model of software development. It consists of five phases - communication, planning, modeling, construction, and deployment. In each phase, small increments of the software are developed, tested, and delivered to the customer for feedback. This allows the customer's requirements to be addressed early in the development cycle. The incremental model has advantages like generating working software quickly and accommodating changes easily based on customer feedback. However, it requires good upfront planning and may have higher total costs than the waterfall model.
The incremental process model breaks down software development into standalone modules that each pass through requirements, design, implementation, and testing phases independently. Each subsequent release of a module adds new functionality to the previous release until the full system is complete. This allows for easier testing and debugging, and gives customers a chance to provide feedback after each component delivery. However, proper planning and design is needed to successfully integrate components without consuming significant time to fix issues.

The EHISTO project aimed to improve history teaching and media education in secondary schools through dialogue between history teachers and media professionals. The project developed digital teaching modules on historical topics covered in different countries' history curricula and magazines. It also provided training to in-service and future teachers on integrating media analysis and an intercultural approach into history instruction. Evaluation found the methodology and training were successful but students lacked skills and awareness to directly engage with the teaching modules and understand different national narratives without guidance.

International Conference "Creating an International Platform for Increasing A...OpenPolicyFoundation
The NGO Open Policy Foundation was established in 2008 with the mission of ensuring sustainable development, expanding access to quality education, and promoting traditional European values in Ukraine. It works to provide equal access to education for children in the Donbas and Crimea regions affected by conflict through distance learning programs, educational centers, and an advocacy campaign. It monitors entry-exit checkpoints and provides informational materials to help children obtain official documents recognizing their education. The Foundation is proposing to create an international online education platform and expand its distance learning and counseling services through 2020 with support.
This article discusses distance education as a new teaching method that allows students and teachers to learn remotely. The results of studying distance education showed that students' knowledge increased by 10-15% compared to traditional education thanks to video lectures. However, online learning also has disadvantages, so further improvements to distance learning are needed. The article also proposes combining distance education with dual learning and internships to improve education quality by teaching 30-40% of content theoretically and 60-70% practically. Overall, distance education has great potential when used correctly to benefit all students and education systems.
