- 2. This question helps me with my trailer, as 71.43% of people enjoy Eastenders the most. It helps me to realize that I can copy the codes and conventions from the soap which everyone likes the most. So It helps me I know there will be positive features within my trailer that the audience will definitely enjoy. Question 2 could help my group realize that we need to make it more appealing to women. However, it could also help to encourage us to make it more ‘manly’ so more people (males and females) watch it.
- 3. This question benefits me for my trailer as it gives us guidelines on who my target audience can be and how we can make the trailer to its best ability to suit that age range. As 85.71% of people said young adults this means that our target audience would be more likely to be based around those results. This question helps for the point of call. This is because it helps us to recognize when we can put our trailer onto the TV so its not on too often!
- 4. This helps us to narrow down what our genre for our trailer can be based on. This means we would then gain a bigger audience if we chose something that they would like to see more. What people expect from a soap opera is something that needs to be in the trailer or something that has to be focused on as they are the typical codes and conventions for a soap opera trailer. As 71.43% of people agreed that all of the genres are focused upon in Soap Operas, this can help us to use different aspects of all genres.
- 5. Having a female dominance in Soap Opera’s means we could make our soap opera different to other soap operas so that there is a balance in the gender and also helps it to appeal to more people.
