Analyse the advantages and limitations of different methods of, and media for, making presentations
A variety of communication media can be considered when planning to produce a presentation, for
example verbal communication and written communication, each type of communication media
has its advantages and limitations. When developing my presentation I decided to use both verbal
and written communication, although both communication methods were used I had to ensure that
they were used in the correct quantities. To keep my presentation engaging I tried to use as much
visual representation as possible limiting the amount of text per slide. I chose to use PowerPoint
because of its combination of written and verbal communication (not to mention the cost
effectiveness of choosing PowerPoint and simplistic interface); the written aspects included the text
on the slides, screenshots and images. The screenshots proved particularly useful as they was of the
actual database used in the daily running of the Apprenticeships Store, once paired with the
demonstration of inputting data into the database it ensured greater understanding due to more

City Hospital, a 200 bed inner city hospital that has a 30 member primary care physician group
that has one hospital based clinic and 4 clinics dispersed throughout the local community. The
purpose of electronic medical records is to improve the efficiency of health care delivery by
sharing information of a patient s history, treatment and outcomes. With this product we will save
time, increase reimbursement, decrease physicians, nurses and other staff members wait time and
increase better clinical outcomes. EMR generates data that can drive care quality, patient safety

Children who are born into poverty are automatically placed at a disadvantage going into school.

These elements are being able to listen to the opinions of others, even when their opinions differ
from her s and having a sense of self respect. The first strategy that I would recommend would be
to incorporate Julianna within the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) meetings. I know that

the job in 2012 alone. Robbers made up 33 percent of the workplace homicides that involved
shootings in 2012, the coworkers made up 13 percent of that ( Workplace Homicides, 2013).
Another statistic to mention is that there were 140 government officials that were shot and

The focus of this study was to explore how incorporating biographical knowledge into the daily
routine and care of an individual with dementia can bring about changes in their behaviors that
impact quality of care and quality of life. This chapter assembles the major findings of the study,
considers the unique contribution to the research and practice of the care of peoplewith dementia in
a long term care setting. The implications for further research discussed as well as limitations of the
study considered.
Discussion
The study makes a unique contribution to the existing literature on biographical approaches in
dementia care. The findings suggest a positive effect of this approach for people with dementia in
long term care setting. Similar to Life Story Work, Reminiscence Therapy and Meaningful activities
this study indicates a number of benefits.
First, it promotes increased understanding of the person. It enables nursing home staff to see a
person in the context of his whole life. This in turn leads into deeper relationships. The voice of
the resident with dementia can be heard when he or she is seen as a person and not just as a
patient. The uniqueness of person s needs and values can only be understood and adequately
addressed by knowing his or hers life story. As in case of Rosemary, by learning about her life
