- 2. Another star constructor I have chosen to analyse is ‘Ed Sheeran’. Ed Sheeran is a English singer-songwriter. His influential and inspirational music will help me decide what sort of genre I will be doing for my music video. The genres which Ed Sheeran focuses on are Pop, RnB and Acoustic. These images show the music videos Thinking Out Loud, One and Sing, all very popular songs. The genre for these particular music videos are Pop. Ed Sheeran is a very popular very in the music industry in today’s society has he is a unique character. His type of music is completely different from all artists as he sings and performs with passion and desire throughout his romantic music videos. Throughout the majority of Ed Sheeran’s music videos, he has dressed in a casual and trendy style where he can show and act his real self. This genre signifier shows the concept of Pop, RnB and especially Acoustic requires a modern casual look. Ed Sheeran tends to use his guitar in the majority of the music videos he features in. This is effective for the audience has they can get a good impression of this character’s persona and style. This will enable the audience to connect with the star constructor.

The comments below are positive feedback as his fans have tried to support their artist. This shows that his fan base are supportive and positive. Ed Sheeran’s star construction could be influential to my choice of genre for my music video as he engages with his fans well and is very popular for just being himself. This is effective as it could signifier the Pop, RnB and acoustic genre.
