The CD cover features an image of the artist from the side, with her hair styled up and a revealing top. Typical of R&B covers, the image is meant to attract either a male or female audience. Two fonts are used - a fancy one for the artist's name and a simpler one for the album title. The artist's name is in large pink text, while the album title is in smaller white text. The cover represents the artist as attractive, mysterious, and fashionable based on her pose and attire. The intended audience is likely young teenagers and adults.

Book Formatting: Quality Control Checks for DesignersConfidence Ago
This presentation was made to help designers who work in publishing houses or format books for printing ensure quality.
Quality control is vital to every industry. This is why every department in a company need create a method they use in ensuring quality. This, perhaps, will not only improve the quality of products and bring errors to the barest minimum, but take it to a near perfect finish.
It is beyond a moot point that a good book will somewhat be judged by its cover, but the content of the book remains king. No matter how beautiful the cover, if the quality of writing or presentation is off, that will be a reason for readers not to come back to the book or recommend it.
So, this presentation points designers to some important things that may be missed by an editor that they could eventually discover and call the attention of the editor.
3. IMAGE
•In this CD cover the image of the artist is a mid shot, taken for the side as
she is turned away from the camera and has been placed on the right side of
the CD cover.
•The background has been edited in.
•Her hair has been styled up and is slick back into what looks like a bun to me.
•From the clothes that I can see, her top is revealing from the sides and is
very low cut from the front.
•The accessories consist of just a pair of hoop earrings.
All of this tells me that the artist is rather fashionable and likes to check to a
non-casual dress code.
GENRE
Something typical on all R&B CD Covers is an image of the artist, normally the
image of a female artist will be either seductive to attract the male audience
or really girly to attract the female audience. The CD cover has an album name
printed and the artists name too. Their is nothing unconventional about this
CD cover, it follows most conventions.
4. LETTERING AND FONT
•2 different fonts have been used, something fancy for the artists name and
another simple font for the name of the album. The fonts fit in well with the
genre because they both stand out, although the font for the album name is
simple, it still stands out beside the large pink script font of the artists name.
•The artists name is in a large font and the album name is in a smaller font.
• Both bits of text have a different colour, the artists name is in Pink and the
album name is in white. The use of the pink colour relates to the colour of the
top that Cassie is wearing in the CD cover image.
•The text has been placed on the left side of the CD cover, right next to the
artist image.
The audience that would buy this CD would be young teenagers and young
adults. I feel this because the artist herself is young and keeps up with fashion
treads in her videos and images. Young boys and adults would find the artist
attractive due to the mysterious and revealing image and would draw in their
attention.
Audience
5. Representation
•The artist is represented as being attractive due to her revealing top,
mysterious and seductive because of her posture and pose, where she is
looking away from the camera and fashionable because of the way she has
presented herself with her hair style, top and accessories.
•No social groups are represented in this CD cover.
