choosing assessment
methods appropriate for
instructional decisions.

skilled in administering,
scoring, and interpreting the
result of both externally
produced and teacher-
produced assessment
methods.

  • 3. Standards for Teacher Competence in Educational Assessment of Students  This Standard for Teacher Competence in Educational Assessment of Students was developed by American Federation of Teachers National Council on Measurement in Education National Education Association.
  • 4. Standards for Teacher Competence in Educational Assessment of Students 1. Teacher should be skilled in choosing assessment methods appropriate for instructional decisions.
  • 5. Standards for Teacher Competence in Educational Assessment of Students 2. Teacher should be skilled in developing assessment methods appropriate for instructional decisions.
  • 6. Standards for Teacher Competence in Educational Assessment of Students 3. The teacher should be skilled in administering, scoring, and interpreting the result of both externally produced and teacher- produced assessment methods.
  • 7. Standards for Teacher Competence in Educational Assessment of Students 4. The teacher should be skilled in using assessment results when making decisions about individual students, planning teaching, developing curriculum, and designing school improvement.
  • 8. Standards for Teacher Competence in Educational Assessment of Students 5. Teacher should be skilled in developing valid pupil grading procedures which use pupil assessments.
