The Peace Restaurant of the Haw-Some Hickory
At first glance, you wouldn t think much of this small town, country style restaurant, tucked up in
the corner of a run out plaza. Yet as you draw nearer to this establishment, you seem to hear a
quiet, but subtle sound of country music coming from inside. Upon entering you can t help but
notice the pictures of all the smiling faces that are along the walls. This is a placethat welcomes
families and the whole community. Promptly before you have the chance to get too
comfortable, you are greeted and then seated. Now, seated, you have the task of looking over
the menu and all of its possible choices. Without fail, our waitress comes over, introduces herself,
and asks if we would like something to drink to start us off. Viewing the possible choices, which
include some Pepsi products, specialty sodas, and their famous strawberry lemonade. Carefully
and cautiously, I pick their strawberry lemonade as does my friend. Taking a second look at the
menu, it s plain to see that it has some wonderful sounding food. As custom, I tend to brag about
places I have been before and things that I have eaten. On this such occasion, I talked up a big
game about the Fried Mac N Cheese. I told my friend Tyler that I was AMAZING! So I took the
liberty and ordered that as an appetizer to share. At this point, our kind waitress had left us with
our drinks and appetizer orders. Now, having a moment to glance around at the place for a better
look, I noticed the unique decor and layout of the

Theme Of Friendship In The Outsiders
A Story About Friendship, Courage, and Empathy The functions of intellect are insufficient and
useless if you are without courage, love, friendship, compassion, and empathy, says a quote by
Dean Koontz. Throughout S.E. Hinton s book The Outsiders, there are many themes that she
conveys in the book as she narrates the experiences of a greaser named Ponyboy who is a
member of the Social group (Socs). Ponyboy meets many people and witnesses many difficult
situations throughout the book. This inspirational book teaches the reader crucial lessons that
are very important for everyone, even if their lives are not anything like Ponyboy s. Three
important themes in the book include friendship, courage and empathy. Friendship is mandatory
to be able to trust and rely on one another. Hinton writes about troubles that Ponyboy goes
through and how his friends have a great impact on these experiences. For example, Johnny
killed Bob who was a member of the Socs, because he saw that Bob along with other Socs were
trying to drown Ponyboy. He knew that he d be in trouble, and he could have just left then and
there. Instead, he killed Bob because they were hurting Ponyboy. Another situation where the
author shows the theme of friendship is when Ponyboy got jumped and his whole gang came to
help him. They were always ready to help a member of their group. Also, the situation when the
church was on fire and Dally went to try and save Johnny, shows friendship as well. In chapter 6,
Jerry, who Ponyboy thinks is one of the school s teachers, says, We think the towheaded kid is
going to be all right. He burned one arm pretty badly, though, trying to drag the other kid out of
the window, (pg. 95). This tells us that Dally, who at first wouldn t help the children in the
church, helped Johnny get out because he was his friend and he cared about him. This shows
how Dally demonstrates his friendship. Courage is crucial to be able to overcome obstacles and
help others. Courage is a big theme in The Outsiders. For example, Ponyboy showed a lot of
courage when he decided to fight in the rumble. He wasn t in good shape as he had lost weight
and was very tense. However, he fought in the rumble regardless to show his gang that he

The city is compact as easy to walk or cycle around.
Five main attractions of Newcastle include:
History
This ancient city has a winding history that spans over 18 centuries. Newcastle was first settled by
Roman Legions, as a relatively small fort for protection of a bridge that spanned the vital River
Tyne. This gave the city its name of Newcastle upon Tyne.
There are plenty of historical buildings and monuments dotted around the city. I would recommend

Differences Between The Fingerprint Of Identical Twins
Investigate explanations for the formation of differences between the fingerprint of identical twins
Human fingerprints are peculiar, unique, detailed, difficult to change, can be said that it cannot be
changed throughout the life except some accident such as bruises or cutting on fingertips (Jain,
Prabhakar, and Pankanti, 2001). Fingerprints are the pattern of the crease at put fingertips. They
are durable over the life of an individual, furthermore, it is a representative symbol as the person.
Everyone has a different pattern of dactylogram and each dactylogram is the one and only the one
in the world, it will not repeat or find the same fingerprint from another person even in your own
finger (Wertheim, 2011). It s impossible for people to have identical fingerprints, said Mr. Jones,
who now works as a private consultant in Summerfield, Fla. The study of fingerprints has been
around for about a hundred years, and in all that time, two people have never been found to have the
same prints. (Connor, 2014) Because of its distinctiveness, fingerprints are widely used in
recognizing the identity of the person and it is very accurate to distinguish their identification. For
instance, the smartphone such as iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6Plus are using their fingerprints
to unlock their own phone. Besides that, automatic biometric systems in the identification card and

Unit 22 Misconceptions
This weeks segment of material covers the common misconceptions associated with the wide
variety of calibers and how to properly identify them. In the video it centered the some of the
focus on .22 caliber and the common confusion that comes along with that caliber. At this point i
m going to cover in my own words where the most friction points come too. When you think .22
caliber some of us think of a specific type (.22 short, .22 long, .22 long rifle, and so on) of that said
caliber. The biggest issue one can have is to purchase the wrong cartridge and attempt to feed the
rifle and it will not chamber, in the event it does, it could cause excessive wear and tear due to the
bore pressure and ultimately ruin the firearm. It is important to understand the mechanics and
principles of how each individual firearm works and what specific type of ammunition it requires to
shoot properly. From here, I will cover the common misconceptions of cartridge identification....
Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Perfect example would be the 7.62x51mm vs. .308, both cartridges use a .304 .307 projectile.
The .308 however, has a moderate charge and has less bore pressure associated with it. Unlike
the 7.62x51mm which tend to run on the higher end of the spectrum, in terms of bore pressure. It
s important to identify whether your rifle is designated to .308 vs. 7.62x51mm. It can directly
affect the longevity of the barrel, and if not checked it can be a detriment to the overall safety of
the shooter. Having the ability to identify specific cartridges is a skillset that is dire. I m going to
cover the importance of being able to identify

Best Buy Co., Inc. Customer-Centricity
Best Buy Co., Inc. Customer Centricity Background: The consumer electronics giant, Best Buy,
was first established in 1966 with a single location and a staff of three in St. Paul, Minnesota,
selling audio equipment targeted at 18 25 year old males. Initially Sound of Music/Best Buy
grew through acquisition, expanding to nine locations in the Twin Cities area by 1978. The
name, Best Buy, and expanded product line, ranging from audio and video equipment to large
appliances, were a result of a best buy sale of damaged inventory at bargain prices in 1981. In the
mid 1980s, Best Buy launched superstores similar to those of their main competitor, Circuit City
and expanded by 15 stores between 1985 86. In 1989, Best Buy launched itself as a... Show more

Best Buy had a history of being able to adapt to the changing markets and their ability to do so
contributed to their success (i.e. the vastly expanded product line, evolution to superstores,
expansion, acquisition, converting from commission to salaried sales force.). The perception
that customers were focusing less on the technical aspect of products and redirecting their
attention to service and support, led to Anderson s custom centricity initiative. This transition
and the rollout of 144 new centricity Best Buy stores was being blamed for the company
missing third quarter earnings in 2005, resulting in a 12% decline in stock value and a loss of
nearly $2B in market capitalization. Did Anderson perform the proper strategic market planning
analysis before selecting and implementing the centricity initiative? Assess the need for a change
in Best Buy s strategy when Brand Anderson became CEO. If the centricity concept is being
blamed for not meeting earnings and the decline in Best Buy s stock price and market
capitalization, the question becomes was there a need for this change to the company s strategy,
was the strategy poorly implemented, was there a delayed market response to the change, or was
the launch an overly aggressive action of a newly appointed CEO? The Best Buy leadership team
first needed to evaluate whether there truly was a need for a (drastic) change and if so, was
centricity the appropriate response to the market.

Pear Shape Diamond Engagement Ring Pros And Cons
The pear shape diamond cut is known as a modified brilliant cut diamond, which is a combination of
two different cuts. Those cuts are the marquise cut and the round brilliant. It combines the best of
both cuts into an interesting diamond shape.
Pear shape diamonds have to be evenly cut since the parts of the curve should match on the
shoulders. The typical length of the pear cut ranges from 1.40 to 1.70, and the choice of ratio is
often a personal preference. Some women like long diamonds while others want wider diamonds.
Pros of a Pear Shape Diamond Engagement Ring
Unconventional Shape

A 1 carat brilliant round might cost thousands while a 1 carat pear shape will be a fraction of the
cost. That cost depends on the diamonds and metal that accompanies the pear shape diamond, too.
Cons of the Pear Shaped Diamond Engagement Ring
Bow Tie Effect
With some diamonds, you ll get a bow tie effect that will mar the interior of the diamond. It s a
light to dark shadow that looks like a bow tie inside the diamond. While some people think the
bow tie gives the diamond character, others don t appreciate anything blocking the light of the
diamond. The pear shape cut will always have a bow tie effect, but in some diamonds it s more
pronounced.
Symmetry
As mentioned previously, the shoulders or upper curves of the pear cut should be symmetrical. In
some bad cuts, you ll see two shoulders that don t match. While this isn t common, it can happen
with some bad cutters. It s vital to be aware of this problem.
Pointed Tip
The pointed tip of the diamond is prone to breakage. It s also the spot where there can be
inclusions or flaws because it s the spot that was closest to the edge of the raw diamond before it
was cut. You can minimize damage by having an extra prong to protect the fragile point of the

Comparing Women In Things Fall Apart And Heart Of Darkness
For most of human history, women have been unjustly subjugated by their male counterparts.
Before the women s rights movements of the twentieth century, many authors around the world
intentionally wrote women as one dimensional and unimportant. This can be seen in modernist
novelas like Joseph Conrad s Heart of Darknesswhere women are seen as an afterthought to the
main character Marlow. This sentiment greatly changed in the 20th century when women fought to
alter the public s perception of femininity. This shift can also be seen in post imperialist works of
Chinua Achebein his novel Things Fall Apartwhere, even though it is set in the same time period
as Heart of Darkness, the female characters are more flushed out and realistic in their behaviors.
The authors of both novels illustrate the power men have over women during the colonial era;
however, Heart of Darkness portrays women as shallow objects for the men to use while Things
Fall Apart, despite the sexist culture of Umuofia, presents the women as complex and human.
Despite being subjects of a female monarch, Queen Victoria, the men of Heart of Darkness
undermine the strength and abilities of women. When Marlow is unable to get to the Congo on
his own accord, he is forced to seek help from the women in his life. He is besides himself stating
could you believe it? I tried the women. I, Charlie Marlow, set the women to work to get a job.
Heavens! Well, you see, the notion drove me. I had an aunt, a dear

The Theme Of Forgiveness In The Power Of One Peekay
Forgiveness can have different reason for forgiving and different ways it would effect a person.
There is forgiving someone for just being rude or calling someone names. There is forgiving
someone for harming them mentally or physically. No matter the reason for forgiving someone the
impact can be big on the person doing the forgiving. In The Power of OnePeekay and a few others
forgive people for harming them or just insulting them. Peekay is the one who forgives people
most often. Peekay was still able to forgive the Judge after he wronged him multiple times. He
still had it in his heart to do so. Peekay also would forgive the Judge because he realized that what
the Judge had done to him had improved him physically and mentally. Even though Peekay was
able to forgive people that didn t mean he was able to forget the things they had done to him. He
was still hurt by the way they treated him. In The Power of One, Bryce Courtenay uses the theme
of forgivenessto demonstrate how Peekay can forgive after many hardships, how Peekay can
forgive someone because the way they wronged him helped him later in life, and how forgiving
doesn t always mean forgetting. Courtenay expresses the theme of forgiveness by using Peekay as
an example of how someone can forgive even after many hardships. Throughout the story Peekay is
continuously having struggles with bullies, losing people, and trying to start his boxing career. The
person who caused him the most amount of pain was also the

The Ethics Of Meat-Eating
The ethics of meat eating has not been an excuse to pick apart an old way of life, but has been a
topic of dispute since fourth century BC Athens. According to the book about the history of meat
eating, The Bloodless Revolution, the first chapter of Genesis in the Bible instructed that plants are
for animals, and animals are for humans to eat. This religious and philosophical pillar provided
people a sound reason to utilize humanity s predatory instincts. Yet, some people in the seventeenth
century called for an entire rethinking of human relationship with nature. In fact, important
philosophers like Descartes, Gasendi, and Francis Bacon, all advocated vegetarianism. They

Narcissism In Romantic Relationships
Introduction
Most people envision someone in particular when hearing the word narcissist , yet not as many
people would think of themselves. When you have a narcissistic personality disorder, you may not
want to think that anything could be wrong because doing so wouldn t fit with your self image of
power and perfection (Mayo Clinic, 20140). Today, narcissismis viewed in a low light, which is
why even narcissists wouldn t openly want to admit they are narcissistic. Narcissism has been
studied in communication research, especially regarding narcissism and relationships. Although
narcissism tends to be looked down upon, studies have shown that there are positives associated
with people who possess this trait, both in their personal lives and in romantic relationships.
The purpose of this literature review is to study what is known about narcissism in relationships, the
bright side of narcissists and how they can contribute to society, and topics for future research.
There has been a vast amount of research conducted on narcissism in relationships, mostly
highlighting this trait being linked to conflict, anger, unrequited love, and infidelity and
commitment issues. Some research underlines positive outcomes associated with narcissism such
as motivation to volunteer, and unquestionable trust in romantic partners. In this literature review I
will discuss current research on this topic. I will first explain the background of narcissism and
define the disorder. Next, I will

The Purpose Of An OSI Model
What is the purpose of an OSI model? The purpose of an OSI model is a standard that was created
for networks to share information. This standard governs the way information is transmitted over
different networks. The model also sets guidelines to those in the manufacturing industry that create
and develop software and hardware that are all compatible with each other.
This paper will discuss and describe the 7 layers of the Open System Interconnection model (OSI
model) and the layers of the Transport Control Protocol/Internet Protocol model (TCP/IP model),
and explain the similarities and differences of each model.
The 7 layers of the OSI model consist of: The Application layer (layer 7), The Presentation layer
(layer 6), The Session ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Transport layer
Transport layers exist in both TCP/IP and OSI model. Even though both models have Transport
layers they differ. The TCP/IP model consist of two standard transport protocols: Transmission
Control Protocol (TCP) and User Datagram Protocol (UDP). TCP uses a reliable data stream
protocol which is connected oriented and UDP uses a unreliable data stream protocol which is
connectionless oriented.
The Internet layer
The Internet layer is a group of protocols and specifications that are used to transport packets from
the host across a network, the host specified by a network address (IP address)
The Link layer
The lower level layer of the TCP/IP model, this layer is used by a suite of protocols for the Internet
. This is used to connect hosts or nodes to a network. This layer is compared to the Data Link
layer and Physical layer of the OSI model.
TCP/IP Application Layer VS OSI Application, Presentation and Session layer.
The similarities in both models are comparable but different at the same time. All though they
exist in both, the approach each uses to construct applications is different. In the OSI model the
Application layer, Presentation layer and Session layer correspond to the Application layer of the

Gender Inequality In Latin American Culture
Gender Inequality in Latin American Culture
Gabriel Garcia Marquez s Chronicle of a Death Foretold details how Latin American culture lead
to the murder of the character Santiago Nasar caused by a series of events. Marquez s depiction of
the patriarchal society in the novel reveals the role of men and women. In particular, family, men
and women expectations, honor, and sex portrayed in the novel are further utilized to reveal the
inequalities between both groups.
Consequently, Marquez recounts the traditional family in Columbian culture to unveil gender
expectations. At the beginning of the novel, for instance, Santiago Nasar s family viewed Santiago
as a child of convenience who lived without a single moment of happiness . The pessimistic tone
implied ensures that during this time ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Along the novel, the narrator reveals moments where honor must be maintained. Marquez mentions
that Pura Vicario and her husband accompanied [Angela] to watch over her honor when it was less
than two months before her marriage. Connotatively, Angela s honor had to be protected before
her marriage communicating that her honor was actually her virginity rather to Beyardo, his
honor involves that virginity of the women in his family. Violence due to the loss of Angela s
virginity is evident when Beyardo returns her and her mother beats her up for disgracing her
family . Imagery incorporated describes how infuriated her mother really was because of the
consequences to come involving the critics in town. Moreover, the loss of Angela s virginity is
what ultimately leads her twin brother to seek revenge in order to restore her honor. The narrator
clarifies this by revealing that the twins were comforted by the honor of having done their duty .
This helps clarify that the twins were relieved and viewed the action as a duty rather than a murder,

What Is Holden s Opinion Of The Catcher In The Rye
Throughout the novel The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, the main character Holden
Calfied gives us his opinion on many topics. However, he also tells us lies, and he is obviously
not thinking entirely clearly at many points. But I do believe that Holden is right about children
are innocent and pure in three ways; Holden s ideas, my own experience, and the information I
gathered. In the novel The Catcher in the Rye , the main character Holden had a brother called
Allie. He was really nice and intelligent. Everybody liked Allie, but he died at the age of ten.
Holden misses him terribly. And he seems to idealize all the children. He thinks that children are
innocent and untainted by adult world and he is revere of the purity of the youth. I agree with him.

kids are not phonies, they are pure and cute. When Holden sneaks into his home and sees Phoebe

that I think Holden loves children is because he wants to protect all the people who are vulnerable.

The Purpose and Functioning of Vessel Traffic Services
Introduction The vessel traffic services (VTS) that help keep the seas safe and orderly is an
interesting grouping of ideas, procedures and equipment. The purpose of this essay is to describe
the VTS and how it incorporates its fundamental concepts within its actions. The essay will first
describe the technical equipment that is usually associated with VTS. Next, this writing will
discuss the specific services that VTS uses in its methods and principles. The following section
will discuss the training and qualifications that are mandated with most VTS systems. Finally a
case study of an accident associated with VTS will be discussed to highlight the importance of
this base of knowledge and its practical applicability to real world situations. Purpose of the VTS
According to the IALA at its simplest, the main objectives of a VTS are to: и·Ї aid the mariner in
the safe use of navigable waterways; и·Ї afford unhindered access to pursue commercial and leisure
activities and и·Ї contribute to keeping the seas and adjacent environment free from pollution.
Experience shows that, in general, these ideals are subject to potentially greater and more intense
risks in coastal waters particularly at shipping congestion points and at the interface with ports and
estuaries. The benefits derived from VTS can be of considerable value and, when properly
implemented, outweigh the costs of provision. Technical Equipment With such a wide arrangement
of duties and responsibilities, VTS

My Love Of Football-Personal Narrative
I had always been told my entire life that I should play football. Always the biggest kid in all of
my classes. People would ask me all the time what position I played, I had no idea what they
were talking about and they were always surprised when I told them that I had never played
football, and that I had never planned to. But the older, bigger, and stronger I got and the more
encouragement I got, finally I decided to playmy sophomore year of highschool. There was one
gameI will always remember that really kick started my love and passion for the game.
It was an away game, at Valley Center, we had been doing good the entire night. I played on the
offensive line, left tackle, and was excited to be in the action. We were up the whole game and
the fourth quarter was approaching fast, and that was a good thing. I was beginning to get tired
from all the playing, trying to catch my breath in between plays seemed like a Herculean task at
the time, but I continued to do my job because it s what I had to do.

Prokaryotic And Eukaryotic Cells Similarities
Cells are the basic unit of all living things. The two most important types of cells are prokaryotic
and eukaryotic cells. These two types of cells differ in many ways, but they also share similarities.
One thing prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells have in common is that they both contain a plasma
membrane and cytoplasm. Another similarity between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells is that they
contain ribosomes.
Prokaryotic cells are usually single celled organisms much small than eukaryotic cells. Bacteria and
archaea are prokaryotes. Prokaryotic cells have no nucleus and no membrane bound organelles.
Prokaryotic cells also do not have chloroplasts or mitochondria. The main difference of
prokaryotic cells from eukaryotic cells is that prokaryotic cells lack a nucleus. Since prokaryotes
lack a nucleus the majority of DNA is stored inside the nucleoid. The DNA inside the nucleoid is
looped around making the DNA circular in shape. Prokaryotic cells contain one chromosome
which causes these cells to reproduce asexually. For prokaryotes to reproduce they must clone
itself through a process called binary fission. A few examples of... Show more content on

process known as mitosis. During mitosis the nucleus divides itself. Once divided in half the nuclei

The Cause Of Destruction In Walden By Henry David Thoreau
What exactly does it mean to ruin something? Ruin is defined as the physical destruction or
disintegration of something or the state of disintegrating or being destroyed. In the
Romanticism literary period, we see how they appreciate the things in life like nature; however,
in today s society, we ruin many things such as, nature by building things that are unnecessary or
littering. People need to learn to respect and admire nature. If we would live based on the ideas
out of Walden by Henry David Thoreau, we would live a simple life and we would learn to
appreciate nature and admire the beauty of it. Often, more times than not, we take things for
granted. We are too busy with our lives today to stop and just let the little things settle in for a
minute. In a few of the writings, we even see how nature is a relaxer and helps different people
cope with things or calm them down. Nature is vital to life; it influences where we live, who we
are, and it also provides us with support. Numerous amounts of people do not understand what
we do and the affects of what we do until it is too late. Throwing trash out of a car window might
not seem like a very big deal, but in reality it builds up time after time and it starts to ruin the

Reaction Paper About Puppetry
I.Introduction
Puppetry is an arts genre in which the objects created are made in such ways to resemble the real
life form and character of things. But what defines a puppet?
A puppet play can be as simple as a girl who picks up her favourite figurines and arranged them
around her table pretending to have an afternoon tea party. Any inanimate object that is
characterized and put in a scenario, could be categorized as a puppet.
According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary, a puppet is a doll that is moved by putting your
hand inside it or by pulling strings or wires that are attached to it . Based on this explanation, we
can see that a puppet is different from other figurines because they are made for control and
movement.

Some companies are well accomplished and are well known in public, such as the Avenue Q, and
the Bread and Puppet show. Some of the others are performing traditionally and were subsidised by
the government for they are labelled as a part of national heritage that attracts the foreign tourists
attention, such is the Water Puppet Theatre Company in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Robin Ruizendaal (2009) stated that there is a steady decline in the interest of traditional puppetry
since the arrival of home television. And a lot of puppet theatre companies disappeared as their
opportunities decreased. As a result, some puppet companies tried to blend their traditional art with
a touch of modernity in terms of music and lighting. However, Ruizendaal also stated that he
expects more companies to disappear in the upcoming years, and the survivors being the well
known and subsidized companies, along with the countryside troupes who performed on a smaller

Melina Marchetta, are two texts designed to inspire teenagers and young adults through
entertaining and relatable life happenings of their main protagonists. The two texts share a
similarity in that both protagonists deal with challenges, uncertainties and insecurities. However,
these topics vary in such ways that the stories contrast greatly and potentially appeal to different
audiences. Both the 12 year old Gordie of Stand by Me and senior student Josephine of Looking

Gordie s major insecurity is his sensitivity and his intelligence. At the height of his brother s
death, Gordie is well known for getting upset easily, or trailing off into thought about what he
could do to make his parents love him. He is also afraid to be intelligent, as the previous
paragraphs have highlighted. Gordie s friends are not as intelligent as him, and in turn he is
very reserved as a way of not expressing his intellect. To contrast, Josie has no issues expressing
her intellect. She is quite happy to tell people when they are in the wrong, and has no concerns
with being brutally honest. This is potentially in lieu of her upbringing and Italian heritage.
However, Josie is very insecure about her heritage. Throughout the novel she refers to herself as
an illegitimate Italian and is insecure about the expectations that she has to live up to. Josie is
constantly anxious about the Italian community and how much they will talk, talk, talk if she is
not normal enough . There are times she falls to her insecurity and gives into peer pressure such

been in the news a lot lately. Since I live on the Gulf of Mexico I have learned that during

didn t have an understanding of the weather. Even today with resources such as the weather

Normative Theories And Moral Obligations
Normative Theories: Ethical and Moral Obligations
The ability to apply morality to the resolution of life s ethical issues in an appropriate manner has
been the focus of philosophers for centuries. Morality, can be best defined as to what degree any
action or inaction is deemed right or wrong, good or bad. However, the meaning of right and
wrong, along with the application of these beliefs have been the catalyst for much debate spawning
what is known as normative theory. The analysis of complex ethical issues found in common
scenarios require the application of normative theories. Normative theories define the concept of
right and wrong. There are three types of normative theories; virtue ethics, deontological theories
and consequentialism. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

concept is encompassed in the American Psychological Association s Ethics Code and the idea
behind patient confidentiality. These concepts have become universal law by applying them to all
patients at all times. By keeping the information of all patients confidential unless deemed

Database Vs. Relational Database Model
One size fits all. The developers go to for all data. You need only a relational database. This is the
false assumption that you will see when it comes to database models. The relational database
model is great for data that normally can fit into a table, or shows relationships between data, but
not all data falls into that category. There are a few options for these situations. You can use an
object oriented database, a hierarchical database, a network database, and a flat file database. The
first alternative is known as the object oriented. In a document oriented database model, each
individual record, and all of the data associated with that record, is thought of as a document. In
this type of database, everything that is related to a database object, or document, is grouped
together. This keeps the database organized, and easier to find things that are related to each other.
Each document is encoding data in some format or encoding. The most common formats include
XML, JSON and BSON. These are just some of the formats available, but these seem to be the
most popular formats that are being used.
A document can have single, or even multiple fields. These fields can vary from document to
document, which gives each document a lot of flexibility. There is no need to worry about
constraints, like we see in our relational database, but validation documents can be made to enforce
rules as needed. This type of database can typically accept multiple languages, instead of just

devices, where the player manipulates paper like structures into origami in three dimensional
space. Our goal is to create a well polished product that can be released to the public, primarily as
something we can be proud of and use to promote ourselves, as well as to potentially create
something that we can sell.
The target market that we expect our game to appeal to is mobile gamers in general. We are
targeting the wide age range that is represented in mobile gaming with the median age being 27.
We expect that our game will be gender neutral, appealing mostly to a teenage and older audience
as the puzzles will require calm thinking to complete. We intend for the game to be playable in
short sessions, with easy to learn mechanics and simple yet involving puzzles, giving the game a
pick up and play nature that can be played while commuting or anywhere that the player has a few
minutes of time to spare.
We intend to publish the game on one of, or both Google Play, and the Apple app store. Publishing
to android will most likely be an easier process as apple will require us to wait about six days or

Cosmetics are seen everywhere in the market nowadays. Those who care a lot about how they
present themselves to other people would definitely buy them out of need. These products are often
sold at a high price and this is a problem to those who cannot afford them.
However, recently, products of the same name but different price have been popping up in the
market. Consumers all around the world would notice that these products are priced lower than the
usual. These cheaper products would most probably be counterfeited beauty products.
Counterfeited products are imitations of the real thing but usually sold in a reduced price. The
reason why people still buy counterfeited products is because who would want to resist a bargain?
Bargain prices are something good to us but considering what would happen if we buy and use
these counterfeits, it would not be worth it. Even though they look the same, these counterfeits are
far from the original. Therefore, it is only right that people should take proper measures to avoid
buying counterfeit make up and beauty products because they are harmful to our health, impacts the

The protagonists are: Sam Meeker and Samuel Roberts, and the difference are that Sam is
aggressive and serious; Samuel is polite and successful. Sam is very aggressive with his father
by having a lot of discussions and not showing respect to his father. Sam is very serious because
in the novel he never laughed for nothing and he never hot happy for something. Samuel Roberts
was very polite because he always treated Nathaniel, Anne, Susannah, and Master Beacon with
politeness. Samuel is very successful because when he wanted to be a shoemaker he could all

Wind In The Willows Map Analysis
On page 30, we see the map that shows how limited the scope of her father s life was. The map is
drawn with an internal circular frame that simulates the effect of a magnifying class, as if pulling
the locations (which are likely truly separated by several miles) that much closer together. The
text box overlaying this image, resting inside the scope of the magnifying glass, informs the
reader that this impression of proximity is simultaneously misleading, and accurate. So far, we
have only seen it as misleading. However, if we compare the image produced by this map to the
very next panel, we see an image that zooms in even closer and demonstrates how reluctant his
family is to stray from their small town. The impression we are left with is that their home life is
somewhat suffocating, especially as... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By doing so, Bechdel has linked her father to Mr. Toad, whom she calls a charming sociopath
(Bechdel 130). This link between Mr. Toad and Bruce Bechdel is significant in that Wind in the

map as Alison draws parallels between the maps of both her home landscape and the setting of
the children s novels. The image of Mr. Toad, perhaps still with the thought of Bruce linked to
him, speeding towards the edge of the map in still life, also functions as a metaphor for her
father s existence as he too became disenchanted (147). Three people were killed in a car crash on
a highway that summer, the same highway her father would die on nine years later, and the impact
of this event clearly has an influenced the way Alison processed the information. Mr. Toad, the boy

Alison processes their relationship to her father s

Catholic Reformation Dbq
3. The Catholic Reformation was started before the Protestant Reformation in the sixteenth century.
Unlike the leaders in the Protestant movement, many stayed with the Catholic Church and tried to
reform it within. These reforms challenged every level of the Church. The Council of Trent was
initiated by PopePaul III. The council met in Trento, Italy in December 1545 and they met two
more times in May 1551 and January 1562 and ended in December 1563. This council was created
to identify the abuses within the Church and to clarify Catholic doctrine and reaffirmed the Pope to
be the head of the Church (Bruening 161 3). The council declared anyone who did not agree with
all the seven sacraments, they would be denounced and excommunicated.

Horror Argument For Horror Movies
Horror Genre Argument
One in four college students in a recent study said they experience lingering effects of a frightful
movie or TV experience from childhood. (Bernie DeGroat) Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused
by the belief the someone or something is dangerous causing pain, or threats. It is not appropriate
for middle schoolers to read classic horror stories like The Tell Tale Heart , because they can cause
them anxiety and it can make them aggressive after watching scary movies.
Horror movies can cause middle schoolers anxiety because horror movies have different
components not appropriate for children. This fear and anxiety of horror movies can cause pain
or threats. This means that even after the movie is done, middle schoolers can feel anxious and
uneasy because they saw violence and other things in the movie that can happen in the real
world. In the text The Tell Tale Heart the narrator states I made up my mind to take the life of
the old man, thus riding myself of the eye forever . This means that the narrator has decided to
take the life of the old man because of his eye. Middle Schoolers might interpret this as okay to kill
a man because of his eye.
There are many different types of horror. These types of horror can cause aggression. Aggression is
hostile or violent behavior or attitudes toward another. This happens because of the violence they
experience in horror films. In the online text Scary movies can have lasting effects on children and
teens,

Analysis Of Nicholas Carr, Sherry Trukle And Clive Thompsom
Sixing Jiao Dr. Tsurska Oct. 14th, 2015 SDCC 4 Summary Synthesis Despite the obvious
difference in their approaches to argue, Nicholas Carr, Sherry Trukle and Clive Thompsom have
a common focus: The effect of shared information. Nicholas Carr mainly focus on sharing of
objective information, the information that is related to science and fact. In the meaning time,
Sherry Turkle writes about sharing of subjective information, the personal and emotional
messages that we deliver on social media. Clive Thompsom talks about the sharing of both kinds
of information. However, their views about sharing of information are totally different. The
similarities and conflicts between their arguments can actually help us to compare and
crystallize those different points of view on sharing information. In his Is Google Making Us
Stupid?, Nicholas Carr contends that the overload of information is chipping away his capacity
for concentration and contemplation (315). He admits with easy accessibility of information
online, the process of research has became much simpler(Carr 315). Yet such benefit comes with
a cost. Our brains are rewired as the cost of such convenience(Carr 316). As the result, we may
well be reading more today than we did in the 1970s or 1980s...but it s a different kind of reading,
and behind it lies a different kind of thinking (Carr 317). Carr argues the forming of such habits
can prevent us from deep reading and thinking. In fact, he provides may evidences in the

Surfing Research Paper
Today, I am writing my college essay, an essay that has my very future on the precipice of
success and mediocrity, on surfing. If someone had told me five days ago this would be my
topic, I would have applied to the first dead end job that crossed my path. What did I know about
surfing? Five days ago the answer was nothing, and, proudly, today that answer has changed. Since
my first time touching a surfboard I have ridden my first wave and gotten my first mouthful of
sand. The glorious part is that every time I touch that board I get the biggest, and goofiest, smile on
my face even when there is sand seeping out of it.
In all honestly, surfing is beside the point, surfing has resurrected a part of myself that has been
lost for far too long.

Factors Affecting The Intake Of Fruits From Trees Essay
Check referencing and put scientific names of table in annex 1 into italics Chapter 5
The availability, accessibility, utilization and stability factors affecting the intake of fruits from
trees in forest areas in Cameroon
Introduction and problem
In sub Saharan Africa, just under one in every four people, or 23.2 percent of the population, is
estimated to be undernourished in 2014 16 (FAO et al., 2015). This is the highest prevalence of
undernourishment for any region in the World and, with about 220 million hungry people in 2014
16, the second highest burden in absolute terms. The number of undernourished people increased
by 44 million between 1990 to 92 and 2014 to16. In the Central African sub region, the number of
undernourished people more than doubled between 1990 92 and 2014 16 (FAO et al., 2015). The
lack of progress in the rate of undernourishment in absolute terms reflects prevailing problems in the
sub region, notably poor food consumption patterns caused amongst others by limited
understanding on the dimensions of food security, political instability and forest degradation. It is
therefore absolute to carry out investigations to properly understand the dimensions of food security
especially with changing environmental conditions. Promoting the consumption of fruits in poor
communities and amongst vulnerable groups could help in addressing problems of nutrient
deficiency and malnutrition (Kehlenbeck et al., 2013; Place et al., 2013; Tchoundjeu et al., 2012).

deadly head on collision between an ambulance from Allina Health Emergency Medical Services

hazardous with a limited visibility of approximately thirty yards due to thick heavy snow
conditions and a thick blanket of snow on the road which made road condition hazardous. The unit

When operating an emergency vehicle, the driver must always exercise extreme caution and
due regard for others; especially when forced to operate them in less than ideal conditions such
as inclement weather. The articles author wrote the operator was driving with poor visibility due
to heavy snow conditions, a heavy blanket of snow on the roadway, and at a speed of
approximately 35 miles per hour, but still able to safely control the unit even with the hazardous
weather and road conditions. In addition, he wrote the driver was running over the rubble strips
usually found in the outside emergency lane to ensure he knew the unit s position on the
roadway and hopefully to give extra room to other travelers on the roads that morning. The article
was unclear if the red light and siren were activated during the transport at the time of the
incident. I feel the driver of the unit was exercising due regard for the safety of himself, crew
member, patient, and all others they may contact that dreadful January morning. However, I do
believe he should have activated their emergency lights and further reduced their speed to possibly
give himself and other drivers extra reaction time to avoid collisions of this type. However, I do not
believe the recommendations above would have significantly changed the outcome of

Weighing the Controversy and Good of Stem Cells
Stem cells can become many different cell types. There are three main types; totipotent, pluripotent,
and multipotent. They have already have been successful in treating some diseases and have the
potential to cure many other diseases. Stem cells have also been very useful in drug testing.
However they have caused a lot of controversy, but some technology has helped settle this
controversy.
Cells must be specialized, differentiated and unmistakable so they can create the human body. The
cells need to create red and white blood cells, neurons, bone, hair, muscle, skin, teeth and
specialized organs. Within almost every cell in the body contains a complete set of genes to
assemble and maintain a human. To become more specialized the cell will turn off unneeded genes.
Stem cells are cells that have the potential to become almost any cell in the human body, during the
early developments of life. Stem cells have the possibility to generate all of tissues within a human
as well. Each stem cell can either stay a stem cell or become a more specialized cell. The stem
cells that are unspecialized are capable of renewing themselves or possibly being induced to
become organ specific cells or tissue cells with special functions. Most stem cells have a constant
supply to replace other cells that are injured, diseased, or even aged.
A totipotent cell occurs when an egg and a sperm unite to create a one celled fertilized egg called a
zygote. This cell is undifferentiated because they are

Analyzing Shawshank Redemption
The film that will be analyzed and discussed is the Shawshank Redemption, which was Director
by Frank Darabont and is a Story by Stephen King. It is based in 1946, a man named Andy
Dufresne (Tim Robbins) is convicted of killing his wife and her lover, and him going to prison
and dealing with the struggles of prison life as a truly innocent man. . He s sentenced to a life term

The film s opening scene shows him being given two life sentences for the murder of his wife
and her lover, and then we move, permanently, to a point of view representing the prison
population and particularly the lifer Ellis Red Redding. It is his voice remembering the first
time he saw Andy ( looked like a stiff breeze would blow him over ), and predicting, wrongly, that
he wouldn t make it in prison. (Ebert, 1999). The story takes place in a prison in Ohio back in
1946. The category of irony used in this film is situational irony which Situational irony occurs
when we expect one thing to happen and something else does. (Goodykoontz, amp; Jacobs, 2011
Ch. 2.4). The Shawshank is about Andy, but it is but the story isn t through his own eyes, had
this film been through the eyes of Andy it would have turned out completely different, this plays
a large part in the situational irony because Red is our surrogate. He s the one we identify with,
and the redemption, when it comes, is Red s. We ve been shown by Andy s example that you
have to keep true to yourself, not lose hope, bide your time, set a quiet example and look for your
chance. I guess it comes down to a simple choice, really, he tells Red. Get busy livin or get busy
dyin . . (Ebert, 1999).

Darabont constructs the film to observe the story, not to punch it up or upstage it. Upstaging, in

King Lear Tragic Hero Essay
A tragic hero is said to be an imperfect character of noble stature, a character with a downfall
caused by an error of judgement which is not deserved, and a self realization from the downfall.
King Lear from the play King Lear fits this description of a tragic hero. King Lear is a tragic play
written by Shakespeare. King Lear is depicted as a tragic herobecause of his high status, his
downfall which was caused by himself, and his realization from his downfall. King Lear is
portrayed as a tragic hero partially because of his imperfectness. Throughout the play, King Lear
makes many mistakes, which show his imperfections. His mistakes eventually led to his insanity.
He does not even want ot go insane. He says, O, let me not be mad, not mad, sweet heaven keep
me in temper: I would not be mad! (I v 1 2). In the end of the play, Lear s insanity leads to his
demise. When he meets Cordelia... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Aristotle believes that a tragic hero s downfall is his/her own fault. He also believes that this
decision was made by choice and not by force. King Lear truly fits this description. King Lear s
downfall was dividing his land (and his crown) to his three daughters out of narcissism. Lear
wanted his daughters to tell him how much they loved him. He did this by choice, not knowing
how evil two of his daughters, Goneril and Regan, really were and how they did not actually
love him. His obliviousness was his flaw and trusted his daughters too much. However, King
Lear disowned his youngest daughter, Cordelia, even though she was the one who love him
most. Lear is outraged when she does not tell him how much she loves him. King Lear says
Ingratitude, thou marble hearted fiend, more hideous when thou show st thee in a child than the
sea monster! (I iv 4 6). He mistook her honesty for lack of respect, which partially led to his
downfall as well. By the end of the play, Lear s mistakes caused him to go

Nasogastric Tube Analysis
X ray Verification for Nasogastric Tube Placement Nasogastric tubes are placed after a surgical
procedure, ie. whipples, puestows, and gastrectomies, to decompress the stomach or small bowel
(Snaith Flintham, 2014). These tubes are blindly inserted in the operating room normally by
anesthesia once the surgery is complete. By definition, a blindly inserted nasogastric tube is one
inserted without the use of imaging guidance, including fluoroscopy or ultrasound. The two most
common complications of blindly guided tubes are insertion in the lungs and inaccurate placement
in the esophagus. On rare occasions, nasogastric tubes have been lodged in the brain or spinal

The materials the author provides to support his thesis are come from many documents and
visual analysis. First of all, the author claims that Bernware had strong ability to help design the
door by providing the text in his vita in which it states Berware excelled in the mechanical arts.
As for he travel experience as the reference for the door, the style of the door combines the
format of the Early Christian type with the medium of Carolingian examples, for instance, the
juxtaposed narratives of the Old and new Testaments on the door. It does not appear in
Touronian manuscript. Moreover, compared to other Carolingian models, Bernware created his
own Genesis cycle because of the illustration of Eve in Junius11. The example could be the
entire absence of the Creation of Eve. Moreover, the style of Eve and Adam also implies that
Bernware tries to convey perils of seductive women. First, he emphasized Eve s imbalance
moving, height and body shape, representing an aggressive and sexually provocative woman. The
fruits also represent breast, warning man against touching the breast. The reason why Bernware
depited negative images because Genesis B reflects Eve s the internalized guilty as well as the
reformers were opposed to marriage, claiming women causing sin to the world. Bernware may
share the belief because the emperor, Henry II and Synod of Goslar were supporters in the reform

The Pros And Cons Of Cryptography
INTRODUCTION
Cryptography Is considered the most important thing by means of secure communication. It is used
to encrypt and decrypt data and provide secure communication between the sender and receiver. As
a finance company, the most important thing to look after is the process speed and security of the
data. There are two types of encryption and decryption methods known as a Symmetric key and
Public key cryptography. Symmetric key has set of algorithms such as Blowfish, two fish, DES,
3DES, AES etc and on the other hand Asymmetric key has set of an algorithm such as Elliptic

Asymmetric cryptography:
Asymmetric encryption is also known as public key encryption. This uses two keys for
encryption and decryption of data. The two keys are the Public key which it can be shared with
anyone and the other one is a Private key or secret key which should be kept secretly. Each user
will have its own public key and private key. Let s assume Alice and Bob are the sender and
receiver. Alice(A) wants to send a message to Bob(B). Alice will first encrypt(E) the plaintext(M)
with Alice s public key and send to bob. Now Bob verifies Alice s message by checking whether it
is Alice s digital signature and then bob decrypts(D) the key using the bob private key. This process
will be the same if Bob sends Alice message.

  • 2. The Peace Restaurant of the Haw-Some Hickory At first glance, you wouldn t think much of this small town, country style restaurant, tucked up in the corner of a run out plaza. Yet as you draw nearer to this establishment, you seem to hear a quiet, but subtle sound of country music coming from inside. Upon entering you can t help but notice the pictures of all the smiling faces that are along the walls. This is a placethat welcomes families and the whole community. Promptly before you have the chance to get too comfortable, you are greeted and then seated. Now, seated, you have the task of looking over the menu and all of its possible choices. Without fail, our waitress comes over, introduces herself, and asks if we would like something to drink to start us off. Viewing the possible choices, which include some Pepsi products, specialty sodas, and their famous strawberry lemonade. Carefully and cautiously, I pick their strawberry lemonade as does my friend. Taking a second look at the menu, it s plain to see that it has some wonderful sounding food. As custom, I tend to brag about places I have been before and things that I have eaten. On this such occasion, I talked up a big game about the Fried Mac N Cheese. I told my friend Tyler that I was AMAZING! So I took the liberty and ordered that as an appetizer to share. At this point, our kind waitress had left us with our drinks and appetizer orders. Now, having a moment to glance around at the place for a better look, I noticed the unique decor and layout of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Theme Of Friendship In The Outsiders A Story About Friendship, Courage, and Empathy The functions of intellect are insufficient and useless if you are without courage, love, friendship, compassion, and empathy, says a quote by Dean Koontz. Throughout S.E. Hinton s book The Outsiders, there are many themes that she conveys in the book as she narrates the experiences of a greaser named Ponyboy who is a member of the Social group (Socs). Ponyboy meets many people and witnesses many difficult situations throughout the book. This inspirational book teaches the reader crucial lessons that are very important for everyone, even if their lives are not anything like Ponyboy s. Three important themes in the book include friendship, courage and empathy. Friendship is mandatory to be able to trust and rely on one another. Hinton writes about troubles that Ponyboy goes through and how his friends have a great impact on these experiences. For example, Johnny killed Bob who was a member of the Socs, because he saw that Bob along with other Socs were trying to drown Ponyboy. He knew that he d be in trouble, and he could have just left then and there. Instead, he killed Bob because they were hurting Ponyboy. Another situation where the author shows the theme of friendship is when Ponyboy got jumped and his whole gang came to help him. They were always ready to help a member of their group. Also, the situation when the church was on fire and Dally went to try and save Johnny, shows friendship as well. In chapter 6, Jerry, who Ponyboy thinks is one of the school s teachers, says, We think the towheaded kid is going to be all right. He burned one arm pretty badly, though, trying to drag the other kid out of the window, (pg. 95). This tells us that Dally, who at first wouldn t help the children in the church, helped Johnny get out because he was his friend and he cared about him. This shows how Dally demonstrates his friendship. Courage is crucial to be able to overcome obstacles and help others. Courage is a big theme in The Outsiders. For example, Ponyboy showed a lot of courage when he decided to fight in the rumble. He wasn t in good shape as he had lost weight and was very tense. However, he fought in the rumble regardless to show his gang that he ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Differences Between The Fingerprint Of Identical Twins Investigate explanations for the formation of differences between the fingerprint of identical twins Human fingerprints are peculiar, unique, detailed, difficult to change, can be said that it cannot be changed throughout the life except some accident such as bruises or cutting on fingertips (Jain, Prabhakar, and Pankanti, 2001). Fingerprints are the pattern of the crease at put fingertips. They are durable over the life of an individual, furthermore, it is a representative symbol as the person. Everyone has a different pattern of dactylogram and each dactylogram is the one and only the one in the world, it will not repeat or find the same fingerprint from another person even in your own finger (Wertheim, 2011). It s impossible for people to have identical fingerprints, said Mr. Jones, who now works as a private consultant in Summerfield, Fla. The study of fingerprints has been around for about a hundred years, and in all that time, two people have never been found to have the same prints. (Connor, 2014) Because of its distinctiveness, fingerprints are widely used in recognizing the identity of the person and it is very accurate to distinguish their identification. For instance, the smartphone such as iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6Plus are using their fingerprints to unlock their own phone. • 6. Unit 22 Misconceptions This weeks segment of material covers the common misconceptions associated with the wide variety of calibers and how to properly identify them. In the video it centered the some of the focus on .22 caliber and the common confusion that comes along with that caliber. At this point i m going to cover in my own words where the most friction points come too. When you think .22 caliber some of us think of a specific type (.22 short, .22 long, .22 long rifle, and so on) of that said caliber. The biggest issue one can have is to purchase the wrong cartridge and attempt to feed the rifle and it will not chamber, in the event it does, it could cause excessive wear and tear due to the bore pressure and ultimately ruin the firearm. It is important to understand the mechanics and principles of how each individual firearm works and what specific type of ammunition it requires to shoot properly. Unlike the 7.62x51mm which tend to run on the higher end of the spectrum, in terms of bore pressure. It s important to identify whether your rifle is designated to .308 vs. 7.62x51mm. It can directly affect the longevity of the barrel, and if not checked it can be a detriment to the overall safety of the shooter. Having the ability to identify specific cartridges is a skillset that is dire. I m going to cover the importance of being able to identify ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Best Buy Co., Inc. Customer-Centricity Best Buy Co., Inc. Customer Centricity Background: The consumer electronics giant, Best Buy, was first established in 1966 with a single location and a staff of three in St. Paul, Minnesota, selling audio equipment targeted at 18 25 year old males. Initially Sound of Music/Best Buy grew through acquisition, expanding to nine locations in the Twin Cities area by 1978. The name, Best Buy, and expanded product line, ranging from audio and video equipment to large appliances, were a result of a best buy sale of damaged inventory at bargain prices in 1981. In the mid 1980s, Best Buy launched superstores similar to those of their main competitor, Circuit City and expanded by 15 stores between 1985 86. In 1989, Best Buy launched itself as a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Best Buy had a history of being able to adapt to the changing markets and their ability to do so contributed to their success (i.e. the vastly expanded product line, evolution to superstores, expansion, acquisition, converting from commission to salaried sales force.). The perception that customers were focusing less on the technical aspect of products and redirecting their attention to service and support, led to Anderson s custom centricity initiative. This transition and the rollout of 144 new centricity Best Buy stores was being blamed for the company missing third quarter earnings in 2005, resulting in a 12% decline in stock value and a loss of nearly $2B in market capitalization. Did Anderson perform the proper strategic market planning analysis before selecting and implementing the centricity initiative? Assess the need for a change in Best Buy s strategy when Brand Anderson became CEO. If the centricity concept is being blamed for not meeting earnings and the decline in Best Buy s stock price and market capitalization, the question becomes was there a need for this change to the company s strategy, was the strategy poorly implemented, was there a delayed market response to the change, or was the launch an overly aggressive action of a newly appointed CEO? The Best Buy leadership team first needed to evaluate whether there truly was a need for a (drastic) change and if so, was centricity the appropriate response to the market. ... Those cuts are the marquise cut and the round brilliant. It combines the best of both cuts into an interesting diamond shape. Pear shape diamonds have to be evenly cut since the parts of the curve should match on the shoulders. The typical length of the pear cut ranges from 1.40 to 1.70, and the choice of ratio is often a personal preference. Some women like long diamonds while others want wider diamonds. It s a light to dark shadow that looks like a bow tie inside the diamond. While some people think the bow tie gives the diamond character, others don t appreciate anything blocking the light of the diamond. • 10. Comparing Women In Things Fall Apart And Heart Of Darkness For most of human history, women have been unjustly subjugated by their male counterparts. Before the women s rights movements of the twentieth century, many authors around the world intentionally wrote women as one dimensional and unimportant. This can be seen in modernist novelas like Joseph Conrad s Heart of Darknesswhere women are seen as an afterthought to the main character Marlow. This sentiment greatly changed in the 20th century when women fought to alter the public s perception of femininity. This shift can also be seen in post imperialist works of Chinua Achebein his novel Things Fall Apartwhere, even though it is set in the same time period as Heart of Darkness, the female characters are more flushed out and realistic in their behaviors. The authors of both novels illustrate the power men have over women during the colonial era; however, Heart of Darkness portrays women as shallow objects for the men to use while Things Fall Apart, despite the sexist culture of Umuofia, presents the women as complex and human. Despite being subjects of a female monarch, Queen Victoria, the men of Heart of Darkness undermine the strength and abilities of women. When Marlow is unable to get to the Congo on his own accord, he is forced to seek help from the women in his life. He is besides himself stating could you believe it? I tried the women. I, Charlie Marlow, set the women to work to get a job. Heavens! Well, you see, the notion drove me. I had an aunt, a dear ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. The Theme Of Forgiveness In The Power Of One Peekay Forgiveness can have different reason for forgiving and different ways it would effect a person. There is forgiving someone for just being rude or calling someone names. There is forgiving someone for harming them mentally or physically. No matter the reason for forgiving someone the impact can be big on the person doing the forgiving. In The Power of OnePeekay and a few others forgive people for harming them or just insulting them. Peekay is the one who forgives people most often. Peekay was still able to forgive the Judge after he wronged him multiple times. He still had it in his heart to do so. Peekay also would forgive the Judge because he realized that what the Judge had done to him had improved him physically and mentally. Even though Peekay was able to forgive people that didn t mean he was able to forget the things they had done to him. He was still hurt by the way they treated him. In The Power of One, Bryce Courtenay uses the theme of forgivenessto demonstrate how Peekay can forgive after many hardships, how Peekay can forgive someone because the way they wronged him helped him later in life, and how forgiving doesn t always mean forgetting. Courtenay expresses the theme of forgiveness by using Peekay as an example of how someone can forgive even after many hardships. Throughout the story Peekay is continuously having struggles with bullies, losing people, and trying to start his boxing career. The person who caused him the most amount of pain was also the ... According to the book about the history of meat eating, The Bloodless Revolution, the first chapter of Genesis in the Bible instructed that plants are for animals, and animals are for humans to eat. This religious and philosophical pillar provided people a sound reason to utilize humanity s predatory instincts. Yet, some people in the seventeenth century called for an entire rethinking of human relationship with nature. These two types of cells differ in many ways, but they also share similarities. One thing prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells have in common is that they both contain a plasma membrane and cytoplasm. Another similarity between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells is that they contain ribosomes. Prokaryotic cells are usually single celled organisms much small than eukaryotic cells. There are a few options for these situations. You can use an object oriented database, a hierarchical database, a network database, and a flat file database. The first alternative is known as the object oriented. In a document oriented database model, each individual record, and all of the data associated with that record, is thought of as a document. At first he feels he was a stupid coward for running, then he feels he was just saving himself for later. He felt nature didn t want him to die, even though his side is losing. He believes he was intelligent for running and yet hopes he will die in battle just for spite. In returning to the fields, he met the tattered soldier, wounded and retreating. In the next charge, Henry and the tattered soldier see Jim, also wounded, die a slow and painful death. After Jim s death, the tattered soldier questions Henry on his wounds and Henry, reaping his actions from selfish fear, leaves the tattered man alone on the battlefield, dying, and dangerous to himself. Returning to the battle Henry stumbles on a retreating regiment and begs the soldiers to explain why they are running. He grabbed a comrade by the arm, begging, not letting go, so the man hit Henry over the head with the butt of his rifle, giving Henry his first Red Badge of Courage. Dazed, Henry stumbles around the battlefield struggling to stay on his feet, until a cheery man comes around and helps Henry to get back to his regiment. Nicholas Carr mainly focus on sharing of objective information, the information that is related to science and fact. In the meaning time, Sherry Turkle writes about sharing of subjective information, the personal and emotional messages that we deliver on social media. Factors Affecting The Intake Of Fruits From Trees Essay Check referencing and put scientific names of table in annex 1 into italics Chapter 5 The availability, accessibility, utilization and stability factors affecting the intake of fruits from trees in forest areas in Cameroon Introduction and problem In sub Saharan Africa, just under one in every four people, or 23.2 percent of the population, is estimated to be undernourished in 2014 16 (FAO et al., 2015). This is the highest prevalence of undernourishment for any region in the World and, with about 220 million hungry people in 2014 16, the second highest burden in absolute terms. The number of undernourished people increased by 44 million between 1990 to 92 and 2014 to16. In the Central African sub region, the number of undernourished people more than doubled between 1990 92 and 2014 16 (FAO et al., 2015). The lack of progress in the rate of undernourishment in absolute terms reflects prevailing problems in the sub region, notably poor food consumption patterns caused amongst others by limited understanding on the dimensions of food security, political instability and forest degradation. It is therefore absolute to carry out investigations to properly understand the dimensions of food security especially with changing environmental conditions. Promoting the consumption of fruits in poor communities and amongst vulnerable groups could help in addressing problems of nutrient deficiency and malnutrition (Kehlenbeck et al., 2013; Place et al., 2013; Tchoundjeu et al., 2012). ... However they have caused a lot of controversy, but some technology has helped settle this controversy. Cells must be specialized, differentiated and unmistakable so they can create the human body. The cells need to create red and white blood cells, neurons, bone, hair, muscle, skin, teeth and specialized organs. Within almost every cell in the body contains a complete set of genes to assemble and maintain a human. To become more specialized the cell will turn off unneeded genes. The stem cells that are unspecialized are capable of renewing themselves or possibly being induced to become organ specific cells or tissue cells with special functions. There are two types of encryption and decryption methods known as a Symmetric key and Public key cryptography. Symmetric key has set of algorithms such as Blowfish, two fish, DES, 3DES, AES etc and on the other hand Asymmetric key has set of an algorithm such as Elliptic curve, Diffie Hellman, DSA, RSA etc. These symmetric and asymmetric keys have its own advantages and disadvantages. Hybrid cryptography is one of most famous cryptography ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Asymmetric cryptography: Asymmetric encryption is also known as public key encryption. This uses two keys for encryption and decryption of data. The two keys are the Public key which it can be shared with anyone and the other one is a Private key or secret key which should be kept secretly. Each user will have its own public key and private key. Let s assume Alice and Bob are the sender and receiver. Alice(A) wants to send a message to Bob(B). Alice will first encrypt(E) the plaintext(M) with Alice s public key and send to bob. Now Bob verifies Alice s message by checking whether it is Alice s digital signature and then bob decrypts(D) the key using the bob private key. This process will be the same if Bob sends Alice message. ↓ ↓ Plain text(M)в†’ в†’ в†’ в†’Plain text(M) Advantages: More secure when compared to symmetric key because the private key is not shared with each other. Uses digital signature for encrypting data. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Josef Mengele Hero A mad scientist by definition is a stock character in popular fiction; a bubbling scientist working on unlikely ways to save the world, or a villainous one best on destroying it. ( mad... ). We were raised hearing the story of Frankenstein and his monster, but what if mad scientists were in fact real. Many people see Joseph Mengele as a ruthless murderer, but he actually had a whole lot to do with the survival of individuals every day. Many don t give him the credit of his findings because it was done under eerie circumstances, but without Mengele we would not have the information we have today about the human body.
