diverse experience on EPC and PMC Estimates, Contractual Claims for Scope
Variations by active participation in Project Execution from Conceptual to
Commissioning stages. During Bidding and Execution proposed Optimisation ideas
to Plant Layouts, Technical Specifications and Supply Chain strategies thereby
achieving significant Time and Cost Savings to Project Cost.
Career Profile : I am a Graduate Mechanical Engineer with wide experience in Field & Home
Office for Estimating LSTK and EPCM Projects in Oil & Gas (Offshore&
Onshore), Upstream, Down Stream and Mining Industry. I have been working in
EPCM as well PMC Contracts for last 8 years and in past successfully led
proposals in reputed organizations, with projects ranging from Conceptualisation,
FEED through EPC Bids for Grass-root and Brown field Projects. I also gained
general experience in other functions like Contracts Administration, Cost & Risk
Analysis and negotiating Contractual Claims during PMC assignments. Having
worked in GCC Middle East for more than 21 years, South East Asia, Canada
and South America makes me quite adaptable to work with any multi-cultural team.

Senior Cost Estimator (May 2011 till date)
ZADCO-Zakum Development Company, is one of the ADNOC’s (Abu Dhabi National
Oil Company) OFFSHORE Operating Company. Worked as a key member of PMC
Project Controls Department & IPMT (Integrated Project Management Team) for the
Upper Zakum 750K Development Project worth US$ 10 Billion. Project consists of
developing Major Off-Shore Production facilities onconstructed Articifial Islands,
Processing Facilities, Horizontal Drilling of Wells, Subsea pipelines, Island Logisticsand
Infrastructures to produce and process 1 Million Barrels per day of Crude Oil.
Before the Tender packages were issued to Bidders, I was involved in validation of
FEED Estimates for 4 (Four) EPC Packages on UZ750K Project and assisted in
establishing Corporate Budgets for Share Holders.
Developed LSTK BIDs’ Pricing Preambles and Contratual terms for EPC
Packages’ Pricing and Unit Rates Schedules for Variation of Work, Manpower,
Equipment, Marine Spreads and Office FAcilities.
Performed Commercial analysis of Unit Rates submitted by Bidders. Unit Rates
were challenged and negotiated with Lowest Bidder. Also assisted in finalising
Award Recommendation to ADNOC’s Tender Board.
Validated Techno-Commercial and Contractual variation claims and Site
Instructions as submitted by EPC Contractors and Sub-contractors during project
execution phase. Negotiate and settle the claims favourbly for Client.

Valentines Iron Ore Project, Uruguay.(December 2010 till May 2011) Project worth
approx. US 2.5 Billion. Work responsibilities consisted of :
Estimating Mechanical and Piping works for Sub-contract Packages during FEED.
Estimating Indirect Costs for Site Facilities and associated infrastructures at Mining
Site, Process plant, Marine and Habour Areas.
QATALUM Aluminium Smelter Project, Qatar. (February 2009 till November
2010)Project worth approx. US 6.3 Billion. PMC Team member responsibleon behalf

changes thereby achieving Cost Savings of Approx. US$ 7.5 Millions..

Husky Oil Operations Limited, Sunrise Oil Sands Project, Fort McMurray, Alberta,
Canada, (May 2008 – February’ 2009). Project worth approx. US$3.0 Billion. Duties and
responsibilities included:
Developing Piping and Mechanical Estimates for CPF (Central Processing
Facilities) South Oil Processing unit and CPF North Steam Generation unit.
Bench marking and reconciling Estimates based on modified and optimized plot
plans as well design changes.
EMAL, Emirates Aluminium Smelter Project, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
(March 2008 – April 2008). Project worth US$ 6.2 Billion.PMC Duties and
responsibilities included:
Developing Super Trend Estimates based on local market Rates related to material
procurement, sub-contracting and construction labour supplies.
Updating EPC Project Budget with respect to Engineering Growths, In-situ
situations, Change Orders and latest procurement sensitivities.
Lead Estimator (February 2006 till February 2008)
Shaybah Central Processing Facilities Project (GOSP), Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabia.
Project worth US$ 800M.Led the multi-disciplinary team and was responsible for:
Unique contract structure of Converted LSTK selected by client. Developed initial
Estimate at First Bid Stage for EPC phase to obtain Board Approval for bidding.
Successfully managed estimation at Second Stage of Conversion to LSTK by
preparing Open Book Estimate and actively participated in overall price
negotiations with Client.
Required close monitoring of technical scope and understanding of contract
conditions to develop final LSTK Price.
Petroleum Development Oman L.L.C. (Shell JV), Qarn Alam Steam Surface Facilities
Proposal, Oman (SAGD facilities) February 2006 – July 2006.
Duties and responsibilities included:
Bidding as JV with Saipem to develop EPC LS Price
Developed estimation plans, JV split of responsibilities’ matrix, corporate risk
studies, sensitivities and risk analysis.

Lead Mechanical Engineer for Two (2) Major Sites at TELCO and BAJAJ Auto Ltd.,
Pune-India. These were JV Projects in collaboration with Ludwig Ofag Indugas
(Germany). Supervised complete Site erection and commissioning of fully Automatic
Continuous Carburising Furnaces which included pre-heating, oil quenching and
tempering furnaces along with Hydraulic Conveyor systems.
