SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE:
Over forty years’ experience in the construction industry which includes overall business
accountability and project management responsibilities in the Project Management and
Construction Management of EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction – “Self
Perform”) and EPCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) Projects.
Overall Construction industry background includes:
7 years Project Director (accountable for P&L and execution of assigned projects),
11 years Project Management (accountable for P&L and execution of assigned
projects),
5 years Consulting (supported clients or projects in specific business development /
execution activities),
5 years Construction Management (responsible for all site Construction activities),
4 years Construction Engineering,
1 year Managing Estimating teams,
4 years Detailed Civil Structural and Architectural (CSA) estimating and
3 year’s general project execution experience.
The value of the various projects managed to date has ranged from $½ M to $550MM and
latest Mega Refinery Project assignment in Malaysia was valued at $26B.
Industries supported to date: Oil & Gas, Energy and Chemicals, Mining, Power, Electronic,
Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Food, Commercial, Government, and Demolition. Labor posture
for projects executed was typically contingent on geographical area and was performed
predominately as Merit Shop however; both Open Shop, Closed Shop approach’s have
been implemented successfully.
Project management teams have been dependent on project size and work force. Non
mega projects site craft levels have ranged from 60 to 1,500. Project safety records include;
One - 2MM Safe Work Hour Project, Three – 1MM+ safe work-hour projects without a Lost
Time Accident and multiple Fluor Safety Star Awards including three Tri-Star Awards for
projects ranging from 100K to 1.2MM Safe work-hours.
The above project experience and diversity of industries has allowed for a broad knowledge
base and understanding of the requirements to effectively manage and control projects
financially as well as support, coach and manage all the various phases of a project’s
planning, execution, and completion from conceptual design, construction, start-up,
commissioning, validation and turn over to the client.
