- Introduce myself and what I do as an Instructional Designer – developer of the successful easy-Speak Made Easy online course for Global Toastmasters. Acknowledge audience: connected we can do amazing things;
- Explore and Explain target participation: experienced Toastmasters delivering Speechcraft; tutors and mentors supporting students’ presentation projects; speakers in general who need speech training; Coaches in public speaking; Learning about TI through Speechcraft at a reasonable cost – easy entry to TM clubs What does Speechcraft mean to you? Explain purpose: background experiences with Speechcraft programs; need for flexibility; need for tailoring to suit the audience; one size does not fit all. Adjustments to program. Recent learning about how to plan Speechcraft programs. See a need for a space to learn in connected collaborative manner.
- Focus on options for being flexible with learning opportunities: Ask for any experience from members of audience. Describe how Speechcraft workshop programs are usually scheduled in your area? Describe my recent experience with promoting a four session model for newbies. Explain what might be done using Model 4. More details later. Let’s explore Models 1, 2 and 3 first.
