Similarities Between Navajo And Hopi
The perception of evil for the Navajo and Hopi widely differs from what our culture believes. To
us, you can either be good or evil but not both. We see a split and think that a person is just bad,
whereas the Navajo and Hopi cultures have views that are less severe to the individual in question.
The Navajo believe that what distinguishes good from evilis control, because acts can be both good
and evil. When something has little ability to be controlled by man, the situation has a higher
likelihood of being evil. Additionally, the Navajo don t see evil as being a kind of negative moral
corruption or an ethical problem. Instead, they see evil as being a realistic event, like death, illness,
droughts, or famines, because these events can t be controlled. When there is not control that is
when evil prevails. In... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unlike our culture, which see s evil as a punishment or retaliation, the Hopi see s evil as
occurring if someone has ill thoughts toward themselves or others. Another way for there to be
a break in the universe is if an individual dislikes some aspect of the universe. To the Hopi, the
actions are what is bad not the person, and the universe just needs to find equilibrium again
when something bad happens. Breaking the universe can occur when someone take more food
than they need or if they are not being generous enough with what he does have. When the
universe needs to be restored because evil has occurred, the Hopi individual must first examine
himself to decide if he is in a happy state of mind. If he is, the blame for the evil can be pushed to
other. In this case, there is constant surveillance of neighbors and close relatives do determine who
is having ill thoughts, which is practice derived from the Pueblo, however the Hopi are not as
anxious about these practices. Additionally, the Hopi are strong users of ceremonies to fix the well
being and happiness of the

Business Decision of River s Dance School Essay
Business Decision of River s Dance School
When making a drastic business decision such as the one proposed by River s Dance School, it is
important to go about making the decision in the appropriate manner, through the use of a formal
decision making model process. This should be done with the aid of relevant information generated
in the accounting process and through an evaluation of the effectiveness of the dance school s
ownership structure.
When deciding whether or not to close the River s Dance School, it is in the best interests for
Dana and David to follow a formal decision making process such as the CACE decision making
model.

The first step is to clarify the dance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Having established the problem, Dana and David now need to gather any information relevant to
the problem that may aid them in making a decision.
This step in the CACE decision making model is where the accounting process plays a vital part.
The final step of the accounting process in which final reports are prepared provides Dana and
David with the opportunity to analyse and interpret these reports, calculate ratios and compare these
with the industry average providing them with necessary information regarding the profitability of
Rivers Dance School. These reports include a statement of financial performance, which shows
revenue earned and expenses incurred calculating the businesses profit and loss. Other statements
prepared in this part of the accounting process are also necessary as they may enable Dana and
David to see what the business may have done differently in the past three years that has resulted in
the change in profitability.
Other information sourced outside of the accounting process may also be of help such as the
management of competitors businesses or student feedback. Having gathered all the relevant
information, Dana and David must now put aside the idea of closing the business for the moment
and first look at ways of improving the schools profitability and solving the problems of the
business, while meeting its objectives, using information gathered.

Term Life Insurance
There are so many insurance words floating around these days. One in particular is term life
insurance. What is it exactly is it?
What is term life insurance?
According to www.dictionary.com, term life insurance is described as, Life insurance for which
premiums are paid over a limited time and that covers a specific term, the face value payable only
if death occurs within that term.
So what does that mean. Basically it means, the person buying the insurance will pay a fee (usually
a monthly fee), for a specific amount of coverage (dollar amount), that is only valid for an
increment of years, such 10 years, 20 years, etc. The amount paid to the beneficiaries will only
occur if the person buying the insurance becomes deceased during the term. At the end of the term,
the person will need to consider renewing the policy or even buying another policy.
Why is life insurance needed?
Life insurance can be needed and used for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When deciding which policy to buy, there are some things to consider. Age can determine the
premiums charged. Many times as the age goes up, so does the premium. The amount of years in
the term can also effect the cost of premiums.
The other thing that should be considered, is how much of a policy is needed. Nationwide s 5
Minute Guide to Term Life Insurance, shows a few ways to determine the amount. One option is
their Rule of Thumb, stating the amount should be 5 7 times the amount of the gross income.
Another option is the Expense Calculation. The expenses are calculated with funeral and burial
costs, emergency funds, debt, mortgage, college funds, and income replacement. The costs get
added together to determine the amount.
There are several companies that offer term life insurance. Many of the insurance companies where
home and vehicle insurance sell the policies. Shopping around and researching the different
policies and contracts will help decide which policy is best for the

Mount Everest Essay
Would you climb both dangerous sides of Mt. Everest at the age of 60? At the age of 60, it starts to
get harder to do things very active or sporty. You would also start to get tired as you get older, so
do you think you can do it? Well, Dr. Julio Bird did it. Dr. Julio Bird, one of the bravest souls to
climb both sides of Mount Everestat 60 years old.
Dr. Julio Bird, 60,has climbed both sides of Mount Everest. At 60 years old, Bird becoming the
oldest to climb both sides of Mt. Everest after reaching the peak() In 2002, Bird reached the top
of Mount Everest from the south side for the first time at the age of 52(). Dr. Julio Bird trained
himself to adapt to the weathers on Mount Everest. He climbed Mount everest on the north side
which only had about 30% 50% of the people who tried get to the top from the north side and
Bird was one of them.() It was amazing that Bird was one of the ones to make it from the north

challenged Mount Everest s Northern side but didn t have enough oxygen to reach the top and go

Research Paper On Cyberman
Cyberman is your average crime fighting superhero. Behind his mask he is a man named Ossie
Aibogan, who is just some rich, nerd who built himself into a superhero, because he has the money
and the power. His identity was a secret, of course. Ossie had first created the character Cyberman
as a simple doodle that then transformed into something much more. He perfected Cybermans
design for years until he was finally ready to put on the suit and publicly become Cyberman.
Cyberman s clothes are woven from a stronger, lighter iron that isn t available to the average
citizen, but Ossie is far from average. He invented the first ever pair flying shoes, which
coincidentally were the first ever shoes to fit on his abnormally large feet. He wears a dark... Show

hanging from her belt, and small tube that lead from the opening of her jacket at her wrists

allow Kristal to shoot fire out of both hands. And after hours of designing and choosing a name,
they had created Fangirl.
Next the hard part came training. For months Kristal trained hard so she could truly become
Fangirl. After what seemed like forever Fangirl finally accompanied Cyber man on a mission. It
was something small but it was huge for Kristal. Someone had kidnapped a child and cyber man
immediately hacked into the police s files to get background information on the main suspect. After
deciding he was positive the suspect had done it, cyber man lead fangirl to his house late that night

U.s. Bush s Foreign Policy Essay
The Persian Gulf, the critical oil and gas producing region that we fought so many wars to try and
protect our economy from the adverse impact of losing that supply or having it available only at a
very high cost. (John Bolton, George w. Bush s ambassador to the United Nations) (Gibson,2014) It
is essentially true that Syria is a country with abundant natural resources. This can be illustrated by
the comment mentioned above that America has always taken a keen interest to the Middle Eastto
reap the benefit of huge oil and gas industry. Since Syria is the second largest oil producer after Iraq
, a huge political economy worked behind America s decision to wage war on Syria, which left a
disastrous impact on overall development of Syria. America s foreign policy focuses
predominantly on interest seeking for them even at the expense of the entire world. President
Barack Obama s secretary once said US foreign policy is not driven by actually what people
want, but by what is best for America (Gibson,2014) Syria with all its natural resources could
have been one of the leading economies in the world, but due to interest seeking so called super
powers of the world they are experiencing a painful nightmare that their country has ever seen
before. Nearly all major cities coupled with their all infrastructures have been demolished. Hundreds

Playing A Sport Is Tough Enough As It Is, Things Such As
Playing a sport is tough enough as it is, things such as training, potential for injuries, mental
preparation and making sure the team reaches their full potential are all factors. Now, imagine not
feeling like a part of that team because of the person you want to love. I was fortunate enough to
be able to get a first hand look into what being a gayathlete is like. My ex teammate and friend
Ryan Houchen, great athlete, even better person. Ryan himself is a homosexual athlete, he
played hockey for Metro State as well as the University of Colorado Denver. He, as well as
others, are seeing that more and more gay athletes are emerging and as Ryan says, Things are

These are shocking statistic really, when asking Ryan about his comfort level with his team he
said, It was okay, I never felt physically threatened... . He did say however, that he did never feel
quite like a part of the team due to his sexuality. Another aspect of homophobiaaffecting gays in
sports is the homophobic slurs used in the locker room and on the field, granted, Ryan said that
even in day to day life he never felt harmed or hurt by homophobic slurs. However, it is still a
major problem in sports. 89 percent of homosexuals heard or felt targeted by homosexual slurs,
according to the study. In my interview with Ryan I asked him if the culture of the locker room
needed to be the first thing to change, he said Absolutely, sometimes it has to start from within a
team and then that positive and encouraging attitude can go on to others.
In my interview with Ryan, he said he never felt targeted but he did hint at the fact that at times
the slurs could be excessive, he aimed responsibility of the needed culture change on the
coaching staff. He spoke about the coaches on one of the teams he played for previously, who
used slurs towards the opposing team, Kinda shocked me, but I recognized it was a motivating
factor . Coaches in the sports are ones who need to step up to the plate and make the world of
sports more comforting and help homosexuals feel less threatened. Most coaches have or at

was coming, she decided to go on her winter camping trip anyway. It was like something was
calling her out there. But in the event of her wilderness trip she was starting to feel better. There
was a positivity her in her life that was growing and the depression had started to fade by the
activities she is doing. Her experience of sleeping in below freezing caves, digging out of a snow

never have dreamed of. She admits that her very cold and freezing adventure has helped her
appreciate the beauty of life and her winter wilderness experience. She was starting to feel like
she belong and was appreciating the value of her life and her surroundings. A Blizzard under blue

The Failure Of Heart Failure
ABSTRACT
Heart failure is one of the leading causes of mortality, both globally and in New Zealand. It is
defined as the inability of the heart to meet the bodies metabolic need for oxygen and is
characterised by a decrease in cardiac output. The body has many intrinsic mechanisms to attempt to
maintain cardiac output, including activating the renin angiotensin aldosterone system (RAAS). The
RAAS cascade acts to restore cardiac output by increasing fluid retention, thus increasing blood
volume and pressure. Unfortunately, in decompensated heart failure, this is not enough to re
establish cardiac output, causing the action of this system to be upregulated and blood volume to
increase further. This is detrimental to the already failing heart. A new drug, aliskiren, affects the
pathophysiology of hypertension and heart failure by directly inhibiting renin, a mechanism that is
distinct from current therapeutic agents that also target the RAAS, such as ACE inhibitors and
Angiotensin II Receptor Blockers. This gives potential benefits by blocking the RAAS further
upstream. However, clinical trials have failed to demonstrate the predicted benefits of aliskiren.
Taking this into consideration, there is a strong possibility for development of further direct renin
inhibiting agents displaying a higher potential therapeutic index for the treatment of hypertension
and heart failure. In order to thoroughly discuss the potential benefits of aliskiren in relation to
hypertension and heart

I. Introduction
Nowadays, services dominate economy and generate most new jobs. This service encounter report
aims to compare and contrast my own real world service experiences using services marketing
theories. Firstly, it will compare my two satisfactory encounters journals in East Coast Car Rentals
and Ambient Hotel Colina to get the most satisfactory one. Secondly, two dissatisfactory encounters
in Ray White Alderley and Myer will be compared to gain the least satisfactory one. Finally, I will

Overall, the most satisfactory encounter for me was the East Coast Car Rentals experience. In my
opinion, as a hotel, out of hospitality, customers deserved the tangible services. In contrast, the
solutions of the heterogeneity impressed me most in East Coast. Such a good service recovery, I
felt tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, competence and courtesy. I forgot the service failure
because of this good service recovery. I was extremely likely to go back to this service firm and
recommend to other friends.
III. Least Satisfactory Encounter
As for the dissatisfactory encounter, Ray White Alderley was disappointed (see Appendix 3). First
of all, according to the Flower of Service, billing is common to almost all services. Customers are
disappointed with the inaccurate, illegible, or incomplete bills. In addition, they do not waste time
later with corrections and refunds. In this encounter, Ray White Alderley took me 3 days to solve
an easy bill problem. Based on this situation, the service recovery was not efficient. I could not feel
the urgent reinstatement from it. Instead of telling me that the system showed I owe the money in
the second expansion, I preferred they understood the situation detail by communicating with the
colleagues. There was another

Big History
The universe is a complex place to live in. There are simple objects such as rocks that consist of
only one material, but there are also complicated living organisms like humans living amongst the
simplicity. But, how did this all come to be 13.8 billion years ago? Historians and scientists have
given different perspectives as to how the universecame to existence. However, as time went on, a
new idea has been proposed called big history. Big history attempts to reconstruct the history of the
whole time, back to the very beginning of the universe (Christian, Brown, Benjamin). Big history is
all encompassing and involves perspectives from science and history. The big history narrative is
divided into sections called thresholds. There are... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The initial steps of our solar system began with a star known as the sun. By this point, the sun was
formed and there was debris floating all throughout the universe. The larger objects that managed to
escape the sun s fury collided with each other and accreted. This means stellar objects grow in size
through collision and sticking together of particles (Christian, Brown, Benjamin). With accretion
the planets and solar system came to be. To be more descriptive, I will focus on the formation of
the earth. The Earth is made up of three layers: the core, mantle, and crust. After the accretion
process all the elements that bunched up together started to settle into the Earth based on weight.
Due to intense heat brought on by the Hadean Era, metals began to melt and brought to the core
of the planet because of gravity; this is called chemical differentiation (Christian, Brown,
Benjamin) . The heavier elements, like metals, were found in the core while lighter elements like
silicates were found in the mantle and crust. This is of essential importance to the making of the
hand held radio because it settles materials like metal onto earth. Without metals the radio would
be missing key components for its creation. Having it available on Earth gave access to later
creations to create the parts of the hand held radio like the

What Is The Moral Of 12 Angry Men In The 1950 s
Twelve Angry Men is a movie that took place in the mid 1950s because of the 2nd world war
which had resulted in a depression of economies in the 1920s 1930s. Around this time the
American society was negotiating the political rights with the challenges facing the Soviet Union
which occurred over a decade. It was a political and economic struggle between the two nations. At
the same time, the nation was entering into an internal struggle; also the Civil Rights Movement
was concerned with hindering racism and promote freedom, respect and equality. This play
however expresses domestic conflict which reflects on the social and political conflict in the
1950s. In Twelve Angry Men individual personality and belief were argued, class conflicts and

A majority of the characters in the novel experienced war first hand and suffered dire
consequences. Jake, the protagonist, was sterilized during the war leaving him to not be able to
have intimate relations with Brett. Brett, on the other hand, ignores social norms and has
several romantic relationships. She can not seem to settle down and the reason for this is due to
the war and all of the emotional baggage that went along with it. Several of the characters seem
to forget who they truly were and this can explain their lively social scene. A majority of the
book takes place in bars, restaurants, or at parties. The characters are metaphorical wandering
around trying to remember who they were before the war. World War I took away several
character s livelihoods and left them to try to consolidate their lives. War has not changed its
ways over the years. The movie American Sniper is a great example of this. The main character,
Chris Kyle, is a skilled Navy SEAL and was the most lethal sniper in American history.
Throughout the film, Kyle experiences the horrors of war and soon returns to the homeland. When
he returns, he has a severe case of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and has a hard time

When looking at the latter, it does seem like Connie and Jim almost reflect Molly and Charlie in
their loss and relationship with each other. However it does seem, at a glance at least, that Private
Peaceful is the sadder of the pair. When looking deeper though, and thinking about Molly, you do
realise that, yes, she does loose her love but at least she has a support network. Connie however,
didn t have any of that and therefore never fully got over the loss of her husband, as it seems that
he was her foundation and when he left she is, as it says in the book is a bit confused and She
has no family you know. No one visits . It is clear that these stories are tales of love, loss and
sorrow and hold many emotions between their pages. They teach us of the way life was in the
war, how terrible the danger was in Private Peaceful but also how incredible the peace felt in The
Best Christmas Present in the World , even if for only a day. They do have their differences but
still give us the message of hope and to treasure what we have, as we may not have it for much
longer. They have varied plots, themes and characters but are overall very close in many aspects,

causative factors, the underlying problem was much worse NASA s lax safety oversight and
slipshod management. These findings uncovered what dozens, and likely lucky, successful
missions had hid from the public. The country mourned the first tragedy, but demanded change,
which made the loss of Columbia for similar reasons so stunning. Therefore, much of this paper
concentrated on change resistance, as the inability to change organizations is usually attributed to
the difficulties in changing people. Despite the distractions, leadership must push through this
resistance or risk irrelevance in the marketplace. It is for good reasons, organizations use the
lessons of the Challenger and Columbia disasters in all levels of leadership as a warning of the
potential for harm when budget constraints, tight schedules, and deadlines allow flawed reasoning
and egos to undermine safety and the decision making

Oskar Schindler Outline
Oskar Schindler
Mackenzie Britain
English
World War в…Ўwas one of the most gruesome wars ever to be fought. Millions of lives were lost.
People lost families, homes, and just pretty much everything. Oskar Schindler saved many lives
during World War в…
Ў. He brought hope for the Jews.
April 8, 1908, Schindler was born in Zwittau, Austria Hungary. He was a catholic man who grew
up in a very wealthy family. Over the years he became a salesman and married Emilie Schindler.
He was the type of man that loved to make money, and he did by joining the SS on his way to
Poland. He seemed like any other normal man, making his wealth.
December 1939, Oskar changed his mind, he had a plan to help the Jews while he was in the Nazi
party. He said, If you saw ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He employed Jewish workers to make sure that they were safe from the other camps. If he saw
skill in them, that s how he knew they were worthy. Schindler would spend every dime to make
sure that his worker got more than what the Jews at other camps received.
The Holocaust escalated, beating and killing Jews every day. Schindler invested money into his
own camp where Jews were sent and he would pay the nazi party off. He made sure that they
were fed, not beaten and had something to call home. Schindler would arrange a list of 900
Jews to work for him. He referred to them as his children. He created this camp so he could save
many. He thought that it was wrong of one man to kill another. Oscar had a soft heart for the Jews.
Others did not agree with this such as his fellow generals. Many Jews thought he was the true hero.
He gave them hope and somewhere to call home.
August, 1939, Adolf Hitler and Josef Stalin signed the German Soviet Nonaggression Pact which
cause the allies to worry. Hitler planned to invade Poland and he got his wish on September 1,

The Great Ideas Of Thomas Hobbes Leviathan, And Adam...
hile there are many big ideas in Thomas Hobbes Leviathan, and Adam Smith s The Wealth of
Nations, the most important ideas deal with human nature and social order. In this paper, I will
argue Hobbes lack of optimism, and Smith s lack of pessimism in their theories of human
nature, and will also discuss how our idea of social order changes once these aspects are taken
into consideration. Hobbes theory of human nature begins with him stating that all men are
created equal. With all men being created equal, this means that everyone is equally capable of
killing each other, because while, there may be found one man sometimes manifestly stronger
in body, the weaker may be compensated for by his quicker mind. This equality of ability
produces equality of hope for the attaining of our goals, and that when two or more men desire
the same thing which they cannot both enjoy, they become enemies and attempt to destroy each
other. Hobbes called this time when men oppose each other war, and said that there were three
basic causes for war: competition, distrust, and glory. Hobbes also maintains the belief that in
this state of nature, humans have a natural tendency to obtain as much power as they can, and
that the only way they will ever be satisfied with their power is by acquiring more power, going
so far as to harm or kill others in order attain what they desire. Thus, the state of nature is a war of
every man against every man, where humans live in perpetual fear

Red Figure Pottery Research Paper
Over centuries mankind has left artifacts, which continue to be discovered. There are two main
types of Greek pottery that have been found: black figure pottery and red figure pottery. Both red
figure pottery and black figure pottery show humans and animals, mythology, beliefs and sports.
Carvings of their heroes and everyday life are shown. They are made differently. First black
figure pottery will be described and then red. Black figure pottery was made in clay and known
for its decorations. It would be put it in the ground to get impurities out. The clay was put on a

The Bible Is Not Only One More Book
The Bible is the top rated book ever, however its a given that its an alternate pot of fish than your
normal John Grisham thriller. For some Christians, the Bible is not Only one more Book , it is The
Good Book , containing the most fundamental truths about existence. What number of other New
York Times (books that offer extremely well) can make these cases? A couple of self improvement
manuals, perhaps, however absolutely very few different books. Obviously, the Biblenever makes it
onto the New York Times (book that offers exceptionally well) records. This pesters numerous on
the religious right. At the same time, I can t help suspecting that they are forgetting a fairly
essential issue: does the Bible have a place on the fiction list, or the true to life list? Numerous
Christians would guarantee that it has a place on the exact opposite thing simply specified. At the
point when the Bible says that the individuals who have been (had his testicles evacuated) (most
likely while kids, by the Church...) won t be permitted into paradise, we are to take that as the
exacting truth. Additionally, when it lets us know that Joseph s dad (Jesus granddad) was called
Jacob that is the manner by which it really happened. However the perspective that the Bible is
impeccable (ordinarily known as fundamentalism ) confronts some imperative issues, not the
slightest of which is that the Bible seems to conflict with itself with disquieting recurrence. Despite
the fact that I

Sealcoating Research Paper
How Sealcoating Protects Your Asphalt Driveway
If you want to maintain the rich color and smooth surface of your asphalt driveway, then you
should have a sealcoat applied to it regularly over its lifespan. A sealcoat is a protective layer that
keeps the asphalt from degrading, fading, and cracking. Here s what you should know about
sealcoating.
Why Asphalt Deteriorates
Your asphalt driveway will last a long time, but it will probably start to show signs of wear in a
couple of years if you don t have sealcoating applied. That s because asphalt is susecptble to
damage from freezing temperatures, rain, and UV rays. Oil and gas leaks can also cause a
chemical reaction with asphalt that causes it to weaken. Also, if you park a heavy truck or ... Show

It keeps gas and oil from coming into direct contact with the asphalt. It also seals the asphalt so
rain can t seep into it, freeze, expand, and create potholes. Sealcoating also keeps the surface of your
driveway a fresh, dark color so it is more attractive. It s important to remember that your driveway
is much more than a layer of asphalt. The asphalt is just the top part of bed of compacted dirt and
aggregate.
The purpose of asphalt is to bind the aggregate together and keep it from washing away in the
rain. It has an elastic quality that allows it to expand and contract with the weather. This places a
lot of stress on the asphalt layer of your driveway, and the sealcoat offers some relief from this
stress. By protecting the asphalt layer, the sealcoat helps prolong the life of your driveway.
How Sealcoating Is Applied
A contractor can apply sealcoating with a spray canister so it goes on like spray paint. He or she
could also apply it by hand and smooth it out with a squeegee. It doesn t take long to apply the
sealcoat, but it does take a while to prep your driveway first. The asphalt must be clean and dry
so the sealcoat will adhere properly. Also, all cracks must be filled and leveled out so they won t
show through once the sealcoating is applied. Once the job is done, you may have to wait a day
or two before you can use your driveway, it all depends on the weather conditions and how quickly

Bruce Dawe Materialism
For generations, poets have used their literary vehicle to express themes and produce content that
remains relevant to a modern reader. Enter Without So Much As Knocking by Australian poet
Bruce Dawe is a prime example of this, as Dawe uses the generic conventions of the genre to
present his thoughts and comment on topics that in a way that remains relevant for future
generations of readers. One reason the poem is still relevant and popular today is the attention it
brings to capitalism and the complete materialistic nature of the pictured society, which forces
readers to reflect on their own context and society. By having strict rules that govern Dawe s
pictured society, it reduces the value of life, and through his alliteration at the start

The Inclusive Practice During Childhood Education Context...
This essay will focus on the inclusive practice in relation to the early childhood education context
and particularly to the special educational needs of the gifted children. This will also cover the
policies/legislation, current research, national and international perspectives of inclusive practice in
early childhood education. The complexities and practicalities of inclusion in terms of learning
opportunities and experiences, environmental considerations and peer relationships would be
critically examined. The role of the teacher and the teaching strategies, practices and theoretical
prospective and the positive involvement of parents/families would also be evaluated to support the
children with giftedness abilities and extra talented skills. In general, inclusive practice is also
known as special education. According to Ministry of Education [MoE], (2000), Special education
means the provision of extra assistance, adapted programs or learning environments, specialized
equipments or materials to support young children and school students with accessing the
curriculum in a range of settings. Whereas, Education Review Office (2012) also defines inclusion
as the identification that all children and their families have equal rights to access high quality early
childhood education without any barriers, full participation and learning for all children. Moreover,

Humanitarian Intervention Vs Humanitarian Intervention
Humanitarian intervention has been widely debated over the last couple of decades, causing
arguments to rise of what constitutes humanitarian intervention and if the Responsibility to Protect
doctrine has become to politicized to be reliable. These accounts are backed up on how
interventions are being implemented through out the world in various intrastate and international
conflicts. Humanitarian intervention and R2P have produced debates on the morality, legality, and
operational credibility the organizations now retain. Along with these debates, concerns of NATO
and the Security Council s actions bring to light the concern if humanitarian intervention can be
relied on in effort of peace. These questions facilitate concern and instability throughout the world,
and breeds inability for peace efforts to be conducted. As such, humanitarian intervention is a
crucial effort towards peace; it subsequently undermines the issues surrounding sovereignty and the
idea that sovereignty is the utmost importance to a state s livelihood. For humanitarian intervention
and R2P to succeed, a reform needs to be implemented within the system; sovereignty should not be
held authoritatively and states should be held accountable for their actions; regardless of their allies
influential opinions. Humanitarian efforts are based on the four principles: humanity, impartiality,
neutrality, and independence; The one thing these principles all have in common are that they
come unbiased. Yet,

Buying vs Leasing
Executive Summary
What would be the best option for a company to lease or purchase equipment? Each business
owner s situation is different. The decision to buy or lease business equipment is unique. It must
be made on a case by case basis. Leasing equipment preserves capital giving the business more
flexibility. While leasing can be good in the short run it can cost you more in the long run. We
will look at the advantages and disadvantages of leasing. My research will look at the different
options a company faces if they lease or buy and why it has become more attractive to lease.
First let s start by describing the basic concept of a lease. Some leases are merely rentals, whereas
others are effectively purchases. FASB classifieds... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Like house, then, buying is cheaper than renting in the long term.
While leasing has both advantages and disadvantages. Let s take a look at the disadvantages.
The lack of ownership would be a main disadvantage. You are obligated to make payments and
when a lessee encounters financial distress, the lessor typically becomes its largest creditor. If a
lessor decides to reduce exposure and recall its leased aircraft, an airline can no longer operate.
Lessors require payments for all aspects of airplane utilization and rent, meaning maintenance
reserves and so on. The cash flow becomes much tighter while if they own their own jets they have
much more flexibility. According to Boeings Zolotusky, it comes down to two basic considerations,
the quality of the aircraft involved and the customer involved.
Businesses can change operations and it may be expensive and difficult to terminate a lease before
the end of the term. If the business owns the property it might be easier to sell and make money
rather than losing all of its assets and getting nothing in return. In some cases of leasing when it s
time to renew the owners might demand higher rental payments putting the lessee at a disadvantage.
Lessors offer a very sensible business proposition. For airlines that want to be primarily airlines, it
s a very attractive and efficient service. If the operators want to focus on the service of getting
people on planes,

The dress that the woman is wearing, is a maroon color which is also used in the some of the
feathers on the peacocks. A poppy red color in between the curved lines, creates a band of bright
color that divides a cobalt blue ground on the left and somewhat muted teal grass on the right.
This bright, intense poppy red color is also used in the top part of the sky. The sky may be a two
toned poppy red on the top and the bottom half is a paler poppy red color. The bottom paler
poopy red could also be a wall surrounding the landscape. The peacocks faces, some feathers, and
portions of the symbolic peacock tail feathers are a poppy red color. The sleeves, waist band,
and neckline of the woman s dress are also the poppy red color as well as the dress pattern that
mimics the shape of the peacock tail feathers. The warm color of the sky could be an unrealistic
representation or an intense sunset or sunrise. The calm vivid blue and less bright teal of the
trees, leaves, and landscape are in contrast with the energy of the poppy red color. These
complementary colors created a balance in the print. The teal grass is located in the center with teal
tree trucks on the right and the same teal is used in the leaves in the left top corner. This color is
also the body color of the peacock on the woman s left side as well as in the feathers of both
peacocks. The cobalt blue is used in the landscape layered on top and below the teal grass that is
divided by the poppy red curved band. The leaves in the trees are the cobalt blue color as well as
the body of the peacock on the woman s right side and details in the feathers on both. The color
brown is only used in the woman s hair which is adorned with a poppy red flower and cobalt blue
crown of leaves. Her skin is very light and an almost white color. This very pale flesh tone can be

Unnatural Causes Video Analysis
The promotion of health is vastly switching into exposing what could be America s racist health
care system. People have reason to believe that there are different health care for each race,
gender, class, and sexuality. In A Conceptual Framework For Understanding Race, Class, Gender,
and Sexuality, by Lynn Weber, there is a suggestion of power relationships playing a role in
different health care. Different health care is dictated by hierarchies determining who gets what
kind of health care. Two positions are head to head with each other, There are power hierarchies in
which one group exerts control over another, securing its position of dominance in the system, and
in which substantial material and nonmaterial resources such as wealth, income, or access to health
care and education are at stake (Weber, 20). An example of this is the Flint, Michigan water crisis.

Becoming A Writer
Writing, since I was a kid has been the essence of who I am and who I was. It fun, to look back.
To notice all the little things, all the misspelled words and oddly phrased writings of the years
before now. People change over time, they grow and become something that they never were before
that very second. And over time all the little things, all the time spent doing this and all the time
spent doing many other things just becomes history.
I have heard from many people that to become a better writer you have to read, which is
phenomenally true. You have to explore the different styles and genres if you re going to ever
grow to being a writer. Read non fiction, sci fi, horror, historical fiction, fanfiction, poetry, read
anything you can get your hands on. Some will be great and some won t be, but every chapter is
a new step to take in the path writers take. I remember as a child there were these huge rolling
shelves of books that would be open to read from in the classroom. I dragged one of those
uncomfortable chairs inside and sat down. I d reach up and grab the books surrounding me.
Most devoured and only the best savoured. I still can t believe I remember that from all those
years ago. I have an addiction to it, the creation of lives lived only in a different place, a different
fiction from our own. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Maybe all of us only exist because someone decided to embrace their uniqueness and their ideas?

An Analysis Of Don Mozart s Opera Buffa
In his opera buffa, Don Giovanni, Mozart depicts Don Giovanni as a libertine and philanderer. At
the start of Act I, Scene III of the opera, there is a festive peasant wedding, an ensemble between
the bride, Zerlina, the groom, Masetto, and the chorus, which consists of the other peasants, all
singing about the joys of marriage. Don Giovanni, a nobleman, and his manservant, Leporello,
interrupts the wedding, and invites everyone to his villa. He even forces Masetto to go the villa
too, leaving Zerlina alone with Don Giovanni. Before leaving, Masetto protests, but understands
that he has no control over the situation. Then, Masetto sings an aria, Ho Capito, which means I
understand, before leaving. Alone with Zerlina, in recitative, Don Giovanni tries to seduce her and
promises to marry her. Shortly after he sings that they will be married, an ensemble between Don
Giovanni and Zerlina starts, in which Zerlina reveals that she would be happy to marry him but
fears that Don Giovanni is deceiving her. The duet ends with Don Giovanni appearing to succeed
with his scheme. Three versions of the opera, the first conducted by Craig Smith and directed by
Peter Sellars in Vienna in 1990, the second conducted by Colin Davis and directed by John
Vernon in the Royal Opera House in London in 1998, and the third conducted by Nicholas

To Room Nineteen Crytical Analysis
_ To Room Nineteen _
I plan to argue To Room Nineteen by Doris Lessing for an audience of professors interested in
the field of psychology and it s affect on women s lives, stating that the cause of suicide for Ms.
Dubois is not because of the social judgments and perception negatively that impacted Susan s
domestic responsibilities but rather the lack of emotion within her life and her relationship with
her husband, because she could live up to the ideals valued by culture and beliefs but deep down
she married for the benefit of others and no love in their relationship or with her children.

Also Sophie, the Rawlings household worker, replaced Susan s position in the family. Ever since
Sophie was welcomed into the family, she has been more of a mother, wife, and mistress of the
house than Susan, which caused her to feel out of place. She took lunch with Mrs. Parkes,
Sophie, Sophie s Italian friend Maria, and her daughter Molly, and felt like a visitor. (2777) It
gives her the impression that she was invisible and separated from her family. In addition, her
four children require her complete attention to tend for them so that they would grow to be
strong and healthy adults. She was breaking her part of the bargain and there was no way of
forcing her to keep it: that her spirit, her soul, should live in this house, so that people in it could
grow like plants in water, and Mrs. Parkes remain content in their service. (2772) As long as she s
their mother, she will continuously put all her energy to raise her children. She could not deliver
all these requests to nurture her children, so she decides to abandon her duties. Seclusion is a
major aspect that influences a person to become odd and bizarre.
Women s freedom and liberation are restrained because of the principles followed by customary
lifestyles. Doris Lessing draws extensively on women s inner, private experiences and on their
departure from the unsatisfactory reality of life in an alienated and alienating society. (Rula

characters. Samuel Spade is a detective who encounters multiple characters offering him money

what they want. The Maltese Falcon s plot develops through a sequences of deceptions told by
specific characters to achieve their goals. Brigid O Shaughnessy comes across as the master liar,
tricking both men and women into thinking she is on their side. When she is first introduced,
she goes by the name Wonderly and tells the elaborate tale of how her sister has been taken by a
dangerous man Floyd Thursby, whom she has been involved with for a while. She finally
reveals to Spade (Hammet, 33), That, that story I told you yesterday was all, a story, and this

Odysseus true survival skills. He is confronted and put to the test in varying ways with each group

Odysseus warns the suitors of the danger of eating Helios s cattle. Their greed takes over and
they disregard Odysseus warnings and decide to eat the cattle. Unfortunately, because of their
selfish behavior there wrongdoings lead them to death. Helios exclaims, Father Zeus! the rest of
you blissful gods who never die punish them all, that crew of Laertes son Odysseus what an
outrage! They, they killed my cattle, the great joy of my heart (Homer 12. 405 408) Another
symbol of the mortals is loyalty. Penelope the wife of Odysseus is extremely patient and loyal.
She waits for him after twenty years on his journey. She never gives up on him. She is also
faithful to her husband even as she is tempted by suitors who invade her house. She stays true to
Odysseus: So I pay no heed to strangers, suppliants at my door not even heralds out on their
public errands here I yearn for Odysseus, always, my heart pines away (Homer 19. 149 151)
Odysseus obstacle with Penelope is getting home safely. The motivating factor for this journey
is to see his wife, Penelope. His survival is tested over and over but he understands his love is
waiting for him. Odysseus says, no man on the face of the earth could find fault with you. Your
fame, believe me, has reached the vaulting skies. (Homer 19. 117 118) The mortals influence on

This essay will evaluate the relationship between Corporate Strategy, Corporate Social
Responsibility and will give some examples in order to give an idea to companies why they should
engage in CSR and the consequences of engaging on it. It has been told that engaging on Corporate

One the day of the funeral I spent some time with Mrs Smith to make sure she was okay. I asked
her if she would like to write a letter to her daughter in law which we could put in an envelope
and set on fire, as if it was going up to heaven with her. She liked this idea but explained to me
she would struggle to write it herself and asked me if I could sit with her and help her to think of
the words to say and if I would write it out for her. I agreed to do this and I explained to Mrs
Smith that this was a very personal thing she had asked me to do and reassured her that what
was written in the letter would strictly stay between me and her and this comforted her. At 11am
that day myself, Mrs Smith, her neighbour and our activities co ordinator went out into the back
garden and had the service, to which Mrs Smith said a few words and we sprinkled the ashes of the
letter in a corner of the garden which has a little seating area and explained to Mrs Smith if she
was ever feeling down or sad she was always welcome to come back to this area in the garden to
have a chat or just to sit and think.

Compare And Contrast Mary Wollstonecraft And Young Essay
Wollstonecraft and Young Essay It s prominent that women in the time of Mary Wollstonecraft,
(late 1700 s) and Cathy Young, (late 1900 s and modern times), experienced the same prejudices
and misfortunes. In both essays the authors write about women being assumed to be keepers of
the house, and how women don t know what to do in regards to males having more power over
them in life due to the innocence and weakness women attain. Their opinions also differ.
Wollstonecraft says men are holding women back because men don t know how to give women
their freedom. Young says that women need to be feminism advocates and role models in life while
still respecting men. Wollstonecraft and Young have similar views when it comes to women s
rights. Both

Theme Of Immature In Romeo And Juliet
Even though they have made many immature mistakes (like marrying only after knowing each
other less than twenty four hours), Romeo and Juliet have matured throughout the play because
they have both put each other before themselves, they both have been more aware and
considerate of other people instead of being vain and inconsiderate, and they both have tried to
control their own fates instead of letting fate control them. In the first and second acts, both
Romeo and Juliet are childish and immature. First, Romeo keeps sulking over the fact that
Rosaline doesn t love him back. When the devout religion of mine eye Maintains such
falsehood, then turn tears to fires; and these, who, often drowned, could never die, Transparent
heretics, be burnt for liars! One fairer than my love? The all seeing sun Ne er saw her match
since first the world begun (Romeo and Juliet 1.2:88 93). In this quote, Romeo says that if the
love for he has for Rosaline, which is like a religion, is changed because he finds someone more
beautiful than her, let his tears turn to fire and his eyes be burned. Moreover, this just shows
how immature Romeo is in the first Act. Juliet is also immature in the first and second acts of
the play. I ll look to like, if looking liking move;/ But no more deep will I endart mine eye/ Than
your consent gives strength to make it fly (Romeo and Juliet 1.3:98 100). In this quote, Juliet that

The Importance Of Stage Directions In Shakespeare s Romeo...
In the very beginning of Act 1, Scene 1 of Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet, there is a fight
between the Montagues and the Capulets servants about them biting their thumbs at each other;
biting their thumbs at each other was a sign of disrespect. The variations in the intonation, tones,
and stage directions in the four different variations of the scene, show the viewer or the audience
how differently they were created and how each director has different ideas about how it should
look and sound. They had different ideas about how to show the emotions of the characters. The
stage directions in the first scene by George Cukor are pretty general. They show how the
characters do have a rivalry with each other. During the fight, you could tell that each person had
different directions to follow during the fight. During the second scene by Alvin Rakoff, they had
more emotionin their actions, which you could tell was through their stage directions. The director
had a different idea about the part when Sampson asks a question quietly to... Show more content on

An example of this is when Sampson is up against the wall with the Montagues surrounding him,
he sounds very scared and like he does not want to disrespect them at all and as if he never did.
In the one by Alvin Rakoff, the actors use different tones than the actors did in the first one. For
example, they never once had a tone that suggested that they may be nervous or scared. They
showed confidence and courage with their tones. The scene created by Franco Zeffirelli has very
confident tones radiating from the actors. They each do not show fear. Their voices show us that
they both think they are better than the other. In the last scene by Baz Luhrmann, there are very
intense tones being put to use. They show their anger very obviously, rather than maybe trying to

Redemption in Alice Walker s Color Purple Essay
Redemption in The Color Purple
Alice Walker grew up in rural Georgia in the mid 1900s as the daughter of two poor
sharecroppers. Throughout her life, she has been forced to face and overcome arduous lessons of
life. Once she managed to transfer the struggles of her life into a book, she instantaneously became
a world renowned author and Pulitzer Prize winner. The Color Purple is a riveting novel about the
struggle between redemption and revenge according to Dinitia Smith. The novel takes place rural
Georgia, starting in the early 1900s over a period of 30 years. Albert, also known as Mr._____, and
his son Harpo must prevail over their evil acts towards other people, especially women. Albert and

When Albert recognizes his need to change, he has reached his first step towards redemption.
Harpo s redemption comes about much more quickly than Albert s does. Perhaps this is because
Harpo is not as stubborn or awful as his father, or perhaps because there was always love
between him and his wife, Sofia; however, he still does great wrongs towards Sofia and women
and general. He has been taught that a man should be above all women in every aspect. Harpo
eventually learns that he cannot control Sofia, he tries to beat her at first; but she ends up hurting
him badly. Harpo s first step towards redemption is concluding that he and Sofia truly love each
other, and that he needs to treat her well if he wants to keep her (Walker 38). Even after
understanding this, he does not truly learn how much Sofia means to him until she is taken from
him (Walker 89).
Albert was able to overcome the stereotype set upon him, and all he grew up learning to become
a person. He had to evaluate how he treated people in his life, and take action to correct his
mistakes. Albert discovers reflection that makes him a defined person, despite his reflective
manner at the end of the novel; he remains in the area of possibility (Davis 405). While Albert
reflects on his faults, he learns that ...morality is not an external dictate. It doesn t matter if you
love the wrong people, ...or whether you have money, or go to church, ...what

Reflection Of A Play Amadeus
On November 30, 2017, I viewed a play called Amadeus, from the comfort of my home. Didn t
think I would like it seeing that this would be my first time ever seeing a play like this one. I was
thinking to myself am I going to like it, will I be able to sit through the whole play without being
bored.
Within the first couple of seconds, I was amazed at how the characters from the start of the play
really drew me in with their chanting and the two characters going on and on about the tale of
Antonio Salieri. I liked how they went back and forth about what they heard and who they heard it
from. Those two in my opinion really set the play in motion and gave just enough insight on Salieri
to have you on your toes. In my mind I m asking the same questions, did Salieri really poison
Mozart and if so why to tell it now? I m really into it now just from the first couple minutes.
There wasn t a lot of props which I thought was a great idea, seeing that too many props couple
draw the attention away from the characters. The play had it s really dark moments, like when
Salieri first came on he seems very depressed and angry. My thoughts on Salieri is that he seemed
very bitter and insane but the actor playing Salieri really brought this character to life. He never
lost my attention and seemed very live throughout the entire scene. All the characters did an
amazing job and the costumes really set the time frame. I just have one question, did the men in
those times really wear a lot of

Videogames First Entered The Market Place
Videogames first entered the market place in 1972 with the release of the Magnavox Odyssey,
but did not become widely popular until the 1980s with the release of the Nintendo Entertainment
System (NES). Between then and now, videogames have not only advanced the technology
within the games themselves, but also changed how we think and act. Primitive in comparison to
today s consoles, the NES was revolutionary at the time, both for its hardware advances and its
critical timing of release: directly after the Great Videogame Crash of 1983 . In the early 1980s,
videogames popularity grew at a staggering rate as people saw the rising potential of the medium
to fulfill their needs (more on that later). However, many businesses also saw the... Show more

All three of these ideas work in tandem in games and people are attracted to games that contain
more of the feeling that they most desire in them. Take for example the popularity of dating Sims
in Japan. Recently, Japan became a victim of an upheaval in the [maintained] gender roles. Men
were getting tired of 60 hour work weeks to support marriages they were barely involved in.
(The Game Theorists) Soon Japanese men stopped marrying all together. To compensate, the
men turned to dating sim that would simulate relationships without the constant maintenance
that is needed to maintain a real relationship. Then they could focus more on their job. This is an
example of relatedness and of how culture is affected by videogames and vice versa. Education
Videogames have often been scrutinized by the general public as inducing violence in
adolescents who play violent videogames. However, according to British researchers, Those
children who spend more time playing games might be slightly likelier to be hyperactive and to
get into fights. But violent video games seem to have no effect on behavior . (Dotinga) The
reason that this has been disputed for so long is because there is no way to conclusively prove
whether or not videogames do induce violence; there are too many variables such as age, gender,
duration of play time, the degree of violence of the

Fighting Against Terrorist Groups In The United States
The topic of fighting against terrorist groups is very complicated because there are multiple
groups/people in a variety of places around the world, it would almost be impossible to kill
everyone associated the terrorist groups.
(Al qaeda: 9/11 ISIS: Charlie Hebdo, Paris and San bernadino other groups I dvon t know the

shouldn t send US troops to those countries to do the fighting . For this we need allies and enough
supply and strategies to help our allie fighting against them. The huge issue of terrorism may never
get resolved because everyone is so spread out. For example ISIS has declared provinces over
Algeria, Nygeria, Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Pakistan. This

When the US tries to kill terrorist groups they are making them angry. If the US keeps bombing
the groups and hurting the citizens more people will want to go against us and more terrorist
groups might even form from this problem. If the US helps the citizens around these problems
and gives them some supplies to move out of there country, the US will have a better chance of
making allies and also having a bigger platform to bomb on. Another tricky thing is that once we
kill off a terrorist group another one can form. It is hard to think of a way this will all work
without having everyone in danger of something new happening. Another very smart thing that we
can do is have the US help the countries that are going into fight but the US should not send
troops. We could be giving these other countries some supplies and helpful plans to help fight
against what is going on. We can make these people our allies if these problems go to an extreme
and the US need to come in a help

Pricing The Bond Option Of Vasicek And Cir Models
Pricing the Bond option in Vasicek and CIR models
Name: Huajun Liu
Professor: Marco Pereira
Course: Math 624
Date: 2016/12/18
1.Abstract
This report is aimed to describe how we will use Python to build an application to price risky
bond and the European options of the bond in stochastic hazard rate and interest rate models. We
are going to simulate the path of interest rate using CIR model and simulate the path of hazard
rate using Vasicek model. Then we will get the survival function from simulated hazard rate and
get the bond price from it. Lastly we will price the European options of the risky bond based on
the simulated bond price by using both closed form formula (Jamshidian, F. (1989)) and Monte
Carlo simulation.
2.Introduction
Today, an increasing number of risky bond options have been introduced to customers, but only a
few customers can understand how to price a risky bond option. The credit derivative is a new type
of financial derivative which is based on the credit condition of the loan developed in the 1990s,
and its function is to separate the credit risk from other risks of the primary assets and transfer it to
the counterparty. Also, credit derivatives can make credit risk appear in a more fluid and tradable
form, which has a great application in improving the portfolio of returns and presenting a highly
structured risk portfolio. Meanwhile, credit derivatives can be used in the investment market Avoid
risks, and thus mobilize the credit market activity.

Comparing The Imp Of The Perverse And The Tell-Tale Heart
Edgar Allan Poe is one of the most recognizable literary figures in 19th century American literature.
Poe is most well known for his short stories that focus on a psychologically unhinged character who
murders an innocent person without motive and eventually cracks under pressure before the police,
ultimately turning himself in for the crimes he committed. Two such stories that follow this theme
are The Imp of the Perverse and The Tell Tale Heart
.
The Imp of the Perverse begins unlike many of Poe s other short stories; it appears to be a serious
essay about phrenology, a science that sought to determine the relationship between character and
skull morphology. However, the short story quickly transitions into a format that Poe would
continue to use throughout his other stories. Once phrenology has been explained, the narrator
declares that he has fallen victim to the imp of the perverse, which he contends is an innate and
primitive principle of human action, or an instinct, that prompts an individual to be self destructive
(Poe, The Imp of the Perverse, 281). In The Imp of the Perverse, the narrator murders a man using a
poisoned candle that emits poisonous gas/smoke. The narrator admits that his plan was
premeditated and that [f]or weeks, for months, I pondered upon the means of murder. I rejected a
thousand schemes, because their accomplishment involved a chance of detection (283). Thinking
he has gotten away with murder, the narrator declares, I am safe I

  • 2. Similarities Between Navajo And Hopi The perception of evil for the Navajo and Hopi widely differs from what our culture believes. To us, you can either be good or evil but not both. We see a split and think that a person is just bad, whereas the Navajo and Hopi cultures have views that are less severe to the individual in question. The Navajo believe that what distinguishes good from evilis control, because acts can be both good and evil. When something has little ability to be controlled by man, the situation has a higher likelihood of being evil. Additionally, the Navajo don t see evil as being a kind of negative moral corruption or an ethical problem. Instead, they see evil as being a realistic event, like death, illness, droughts, or famines, because these events can t be controlled. When there is not control that is when evil prevails. In... Breaking the universe can occur when someone take more food than they need or if they are not being generous enough with what he does have. When the universe needs to be restored because evil has occurred, the Hopi individual must first examine himself to decide if he is in a happy state of mind. If he is, the blame for the evil can be pushed to other. In this case, there is constant surveillance of neighbors and close relatives do determine who is having ill thoughts, which is practice derived from the Pueblo, however the Hopi are not as anxious about these practices. Bush s Foreign Policy Essay The Persian Gulf, the critical oil and gas producing region that we fought so many wars to try and protect our economy from the adverse impact of losing that supply or having it available only at a very high cost. (John Bolton, George w. Bush s ambassador to the United Nations) (Gibson,2014) It is essentially true that Syria is a country with abundant natural resources. This can be illustrated by the comment mentioned above that America has always taken a keen interest to the Middle Eastto reap the benefit of huge oil and gas industry. Since Syria is the second largest oil producer after Iraq , a huge political economy worked behind America s decision to wage war on Syria, which left a disastrous impact on overall development of Syria. America s foreign policy focuses predominantly on interest seeking for them even at the expense of the entire world. President Barack Obama s secretary once said US foreign policy is not driven by actually what people want, but by what is best for America (Gibson,2014) Syria with all its natural resources could have been one of the leading economies in the world, but due to interest seeking so called super powers of the world they are experiencing a painful nightmare that their country has ever seen before. Another aspect of homophobiaaffecting gays in sports is the homophobic slurs used in the locker room and on the field, granted, Ryan said that even in day to day life he never felt harmed or hurt by homophobic slurs. However, it is still a major problem in sports. 89 percent of homosexuals heard or felt targeted by homosexual slurs, according to the study. In my interview with Ryan I asked him if the culture of the locker room needed to be the first thing to change, he said Absolutely, sometimes it has to start from within a team and then that positive and encouraging attitude can go on to others. In my interview with Ryan, he said he never felt targeted but he did hint at the fact that at times the slurs could be excessive, he aimed responsibility of the needed culture change on the coaching staff. He spoke about the coaches on one of the teams he played for previously, who used slurs towards the opposing team, Kinda shocked me, but I recognized it was a motivating factor . Coaches in the sports are ones who need to step up to the plate and make the world of sports more comforting and help homosexuals feel less threatened. Most coaches have or at ... • 12. The Failure Of Heart Failure ABSTRACT Heart failure is one of the leading causes of mortality, both globally and in New Zealand. It is defined as the inability of the heart to meet the bodies metabolic need for oxygen and is characterised by a decrease in cardiac output. The body has many intrinsic mechanisms to attempt to maintain cardiac output, including activating the renin angiotensin aldosterone system (RAAS). The RAAS cascade acts to restore cardiac output by increasing fluid retention, thus increasing blood volume and pressure. Unfortunately, in decompensated heart failure, this is not enough to re establish cardiac output, causing the action of this system to be upregulated and blood volume to increase further. This is detrimental to the already failing heart. A new drug, aliskiren, affects the pathophysiology of hypertension and heart failure by directly inhibiting renin, a mechanism that is distinct from current therapeutic agents that also target the RAAS, such as ACE inhibitors and Angiotensin II Receptor Blockers. This gives potential benefits by blocking the RAAS further upstream. However, clinical trials have failed to demonstrate the predicted benefits of aliskiren. Taking this into consideration, there is a strong possibility for development of further direct renin inhibiting agents displaying a higher potential therapeutic index for the treatment of hypertension and heart failure. In order to thoroughly discuss the potential benefits of aliskiren in relation to hypertension and heart ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Firstly, it will compare my two satisfactory encounters journals in East Coast Car Rentals and Ambient Hotel Colina to get the most satisfactory one. Secondly, two dissatisfactory encounters in Ray White Alderley and Myer will be compared to gain the least satisfactory one. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Overall, the most satisfactory encounter for me was the East Coast Car Rentals experience. In my opinion, as a hotel, out of hospitality, customers deserved the tangible services. In contrast, the solutions of the heterogeneity impressed me most in East Coast. Such a good service recovery, I felt tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, competence and courtesy. I forgot the service failure because of this good service recovery. I was extremely likely to go back to this service firm and recommend to other friends. III. Least Satisfactory Encounter As for the dissatisfactory encounter, Ray White Alderley was disappointed (see Appendix 3). First of all, according to the Flower of Service, billing is common to almost all services. Customers are disappointed with the inaccurate, illegible, or incomplete bills. In addition, they do not waste time later with corrections and refunds. In this encounter, Ray White Alderley took me 3 days to solve an easy bill problem. Based on this situation, the service recovery was not efficient. I could not feel the urgent reinstatement from it. Instead of telling me that the system showed I owe the money in the second expansion, I preferred they understood the situation detail by communicating with the colleagues. There was another ... There are simple objects such as rocks that consist of only one material, but there are also complicated living organisms like humans living amongst the simplicity. But, how did this all come to be 13.8 billion years ago? Historians and scientists have given different perspectives as to how the universecame to existence. However, as time went on, a new idea has been proposed called big history. Big history attempts to reconstruct the history of the whole time, back to the very beginning of the universe (Christian, Brown, Benjamin). Big history is all encompassing and involves perspectives from science and history. The big history narrative is divided into sections called thresholds. There are... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The initial steps of our solar system began with a star known as the sun. By this point, the sun was formed and there was debris floating all throughout the universe. The larger objects that managed to escape the sun s fury collided with each other and accreted. This means stellar objects grow in size through collision and sticking together of particles (Christian, Brown, Benjamin). With accretion the planets and solar system came to be. To be more descriptive, I will focus on the formation of the earth. The Earth is made up of three layers: the core, mantle, and crust. After the accretion process all the elements that bunched up together started to settle into the Earth based on weight. Due to intense heat brought on by the Hadean Era, metals began to melt and brought to the core of the planet because of gravity; this is called chemical differentiation (Christian, Brown, Benjamin) . The heavier elements, like metals, were found in the core while lighter elements like silicates were found in the mantle and crust. This is of essential importance to the making of the hand held radio because it settles materials like metal onto earth. Without metals the radio would be missing key components for its creation. Having it available on Earth gave access to later creations to create the parts of the hand held radio like the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 22. The Great Ideas Of Thomas Hobbes Leviathan, And Adam... hile there are many big ideas in Thomas Hobbes Leviathan, and Adam Smith s The Wealth of Nations, the most important ideas deal with human nature and social order. In this paper, I will argue Hobbes lack of optimism, and Smith s lack of pessimism in their theories of human nature, and will also discuss how our idea of social order changes once these aspects are taken into consideration. Hobbes theory of human nature begins with him stating that all men are created equal. With all men being created equal, this means that everyone is equally capable of killing each other, because while, there may be found one man sometimes manifestly stronger in body, the weaker may be compensated for by his quicker mind. This equality of ability produces equality of hope for the attaining of our goals, and that when two or more men desire the same thing which they cannot both enjoy, they become enemies and attempt to destroy each other. Hobbes called this time when men oppose each other war, and said that there were three basic causes for war: competition, distrust, and glory. Hobbes also maintains the belief that in this state of nature, humans have a natural tendency to obtain as much power as they can, and that the only way they will ever be satisfied with their power is by acquiring more power, going so far as to harm or kill others in order attain what they desire. Thus, the state of nature is a war of every man against every man, where humans live in perpetual fear ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Why Asphalt Deteriorates Your asphalt driveway will last a long time, but it will probably start to show signs of wear in a couple of years if you don t have sealcoating applied. It also seals the asphalt so rain can t seep into it, freeze, expand, and create potholes. Sealcoating also keeps the surface of your driveway a fresh, dark color so it is more attractive. It s important to remember that your driveway is much more than a layer of asphalt. The asphalt is just the top part of bed of compacted dirt and aggregate. The purpose of asphalt is to bind the aggregate together and keep it from washing away in the rain. It has an elastic quality that allows it to expand and contract with the weather. This places a lot of stress on the asphalt layer of your driveway, and the sealcoat offers some relief from this stress. By protecting the asphalt layer, the sealcoat helps prolong the life of your driveway. How Sealcoating Is Applied A contractor can apply sealcoating with a spray canister so it goes on like spray paint. He or she could also apply it by hand and smooth it out with a squeegee. It doesn t take long to apply the sealcoat, but it does take a while to prep your driveway first. The asphalt must be clean and dry so the sealcoat will adhere properly. Also, all cracks must be filled and leveled out so they won t show through once the sealcoating is applied. Humanitarian Intervention Vs Humanitarian Intervention Humanitarian intervention has been widely debated over the last couple of decades, causing arguments to rise of what constitutes humanitarian intervention and if the Responsibility to Protect doctrine has become to politicized to be reliable. These accounts are backed up on how interventions are being implemented through out the world in various intrastate and international conflicts. Humanitarian intervention and R2P have produced debates on the morality, legality, and operational credibility the organizations now retain. Along with these debates, concerns of NATO and the Security Council s actions bring to light the concern if humanitarian intervention can be relied on in effort of peace. These questions facilitate concern and instability throughout the world, and breeds inability for peace efforts to be conducted. As such, humanitarian intervention is a crucial effort towards peace; it subsequently undermines the issues surrounding sovereignty and the idea that sovereignty is the utmost importance to a state s livelihood. The lack of ownership would be a main disadvantage. You are obligated to make payments and when a lessee encounters financial distress, the lessor typically becomes its largest creditor. If a lessor decides to reduce exposure and recall its leased aircraft, an airline can no longer operate. Lessors require payments for all aspects of airplane utilization and rent, meaning maintenance reserves and so on. A poppy red color in between the curved lines, creates a band of bright color that divides a cobalt blue ground on the left and somewhat muted teal grass on the right. This bright, intense poppy red color is also used in the top part of the sky. The sky may be a two toned poppy red on the top and the bottom half is a paler poppy red color. The bottom paler poopy red could also be a wall surrounding the landscape. The peacocks faces, some feathers, and portions of the symbolic peacock tail feathers are a poppy red color. The sleeves, waist band, and neckline of the woman s dress are also the poppy red color as well as the dress pattern that mimics the shape of the peacock tail feathers. The warm color of the sky could be an unrealistic representation or an intense sunset or sunrise. The calm vivid blue and less bright teal of the trees, leaves, and landscape are in contrast with the energy of the poppy red color. These complementary colors created a balance in the print. The teal grass is located in the center with teal tree trucks on the right and the same teal is used in the leaves in the left top corner. This color is also the body color of the peacock on the woman s left side as well as in the feathers of both peacocks. People have reason to believe that there are different health care for each race, gender, class, and sexuality. In A Conceptual Framework For Understanding Race, Class, Gender, and Sexuality, by Lynn Weber, there is a suggestion of power relationships playing a role in different health care. Different health care is dictated by hierarchies determining who gets what kind of health care. Two positions are head to head with each other, There are power hierarchies in which one group exerts control over another, securing its position of dominance in the system, and in which substantial material and nonmaterial resources such as wealth, income, or access to health care and education are at stake (Weber, 20). An example of this is the Flint, Michigan water crisis. Flint, Michigan has pipes that do not produce healthy, nutritious water for residents, but instead gives out lead poisoned water. To notice all the little things, all the misspelled words and oddly phrased writings of the years before now. People change over time, they grow and become something that they never were before that very second. And over time all the little things, all the time spent doing this and all the time spent doing many other things just becomes history. I have heard from many people that to become a better writer you have to read, which is phenomenally true. You have to explore the different styles and genres if you re going to ever grow to being a writer. Read non fiction, sci fi, horror, historical fiction, fanfiction, poetry, read anything you can get your hands on. Some will be great and some won t be, but every chapter is a new step to take in the path writers take. I remember as a child there were these huge rolling shelves of books that would be open to read from in the classroom. I dragged one of those uncomfortable chairs inside and sat down. • 37. An Analysis Of Don Mozart s Opera Buffa In his opera buffa, Don Giovanni, Mozart depicts Don Giovanni as a libertine and philanderer. At the start of Act I, Scene III of the opera, there is a festive peasant wedding, an ensemble between the bride, Zerlina, the groom, Masetto, and the chorus, which consists of the other peasants, all singing about the joys of marriage. Don Giovanni, a nobleman, and his manservant, Leporello, interrupts the wedding, and invites everyone to his villa. He even forces Masetto to go the villa too, leaving Zerlina alone with Don Giovanni. Before leaving, Masetto protests, but understands that he has no control over the situation. Then, Masetto sings an aria, Ho Capito, which means I understand, before leaving. Alone with Zerlina, in recitative, Don Giovanni tries to seduce her and promises to marry her. Shortly after he sings that they will be married, an ensemble between Don Giovanni and Zerlina starts, in which Zerlina reveals that she would be happy to marry him but fears that Don Giovanni is deceiving her. The duet ends with Don Giovanni appearing to succeed with his scheme. Three versions of the opera, the first conducted by Craig Smith and directed by Peter Sellars in Vienna in 1990, the second conducted by Colin Davis and directed by John Vernon in the Royal Opera House in London in 1998, and the third conducted by Nicholas Harnencourt and directed by Brian Large in the Zurich Opera House in 2001 mostly have the same libretto for this scene and depict a similar disparity in ... (2777) It gives her the impression that she was invisible and separated from her family. In addition, her four children require her complete attention to tend for them so that they would grow to be strong and healthy adults. She was breaking her part of the bargain and there was no way of forcing her to keep it: that her spirit, her soul, should live in this house, so that people in it could grow like plants in water, and Mrs. Parkes remain content in their service. She finally reveals to Spade (Hammet, 33), That, that story I told you yesterday was all, a story, and this shows how she tricks Spade into helping her because she appeared helpless and in desperate need of help to save her family, when she is only trying to save herself. In the very beginning of Act 1, Scene 1 of Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet, there is a fight between the Montagues and the Capulets servants about them biting their thumbs at each other; biting their thumbs at each other was a sign of disrespect. The variations in the intonation, tones, and stage directions in the four different variations of the scene, show the viewer or the audience how differently they were created and how each director has different ideas about how it should look and sound. They had different ideas about how to show the emotions of the characters. The stage directions in the first scene by George Cukor are pretty general. • 54. Fighting Against Terrorist Groups In The United States The topic of fighting against terrorist groups is very complicated because there are multiple groups/people in a variety of places around the world, it would almost be impossible to kill everyone associated the terrorist groups. (Al qaeda: 9/11 ISIS: Charlie Hebdo, Paris and San bernadino other groups I dvon t know the attacks ISIL). The US should support certain countries in fighting against terrorist groups but shouldn t send US troops to those countries to do the fighting . For this we need allies and enough supply and strategies to help our allie fighting against them. The huge issue of terrorism may never get resolved because everyone is so spread out. For example ISIS has declared provinces over Algeria, Nygeria, Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Pakistan. This means that just that one terrorist group is spread all over and there are still ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When the US tries to kill terrorist groups they are making them angry. If the US keeps bombing the groups and hurting the citizens more people will want to go against us and more terrorist groups might even form from this problem. If the US helps the citizens around these problems and gives them some supplies to move out of there country, the US will have a better chance of making allies and also having a bigger platform to bomb on. Another tricky thing is that once we kill off a terrorist group another one can form. It is hard to think of a way this will all work without having everyone in danger of something new happening. Another very smart thing that we can do is have the US help the countries that are going into fight but the US should not send troops. We could be giving these other countries some supplies and helpful plans to help fight against what is going on. We can make these people our allies if these problems go to an extreme and the US need to come in a help ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 55. Pricing The Bond Option Of Vasicek And Cir Models Pricing the Bond option in Vasicek and CIR models Name: Huajun Liu Professor: Marco Pereira Course: Math 624 Date: 2016/12/18 1.Abstract This report is aimed to describe how we will use Python to build an application to price risky bond and the European options of the bond in stochastic hazard rate and interest rate models. We are going to simulate the path of interest rate using CIR model and simulate the path of hazard rate using Vasicek model. Then we will get the survival function from simulated hazard rate and get the bond price from it. Lastly we will price the European options of the risky bond based on the simulated bond price by using both closed form formula (Jamshidian, F. (1989)) and Monte Carlo simulation. 2.Introduction Today, an increasing number of risky bond options have been introduced to customers, but only a few customers can understand how to price a risky bond option. The credit derivative is a new type of financial derivative which is based on the credit condition of the loan developed in the 1990s, and its function is to separate the credit risk from other risks of the primary assets and transfer it to the counterparty. Also, credit derivatives can make credit risk appear in a more fluid and tradable form, which has a great application in improving the portfolio of returns and presenting a highly structured risk portfolio. Meanwhile, credit derivatives can be used in the investment market Avoid risks, and thus mobilize the credit market activity. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 56. Comparing The Imp Of The Perverse And The Tell-Tale Heart Edgar Allan Poe is one of the most recognizable literary figures in 19th century American literature. Poe is most well known for his short stories that focus on a psychologically unhinged character who murders an innocent person without motive and eventually cracks under pressure before the police, ultimately turning himself in for the crimes he committed. Two such stories that follow this theme are The Imp of the Perverse and The Tell Tale Heart . The Imp of the Perverse begins unlike many of Poe s other short stories; it appears to be a serious essay about phrenology, a science that sought to determine the relationship between character and skull morphology. However, the short story quickly transitions into a format that Poe would continue to use throughout his other stories. Once phrenology has been explained, the narrator declares that he has fallen victim to the imp of the perverse, which he contends is an innate and primitive principle of human action, or an instinct, that prompts an individual to be self destructive (Poe, The Imp of the Perverse, 281). In The Imp of the Perverse, the narrator murders a man using a poisoned candle that emits poisonous gas/smoke. The narrator admits that his plan was premeditated and that [f]or weeks, for months, I pondered upon the means of murder. I rejected a thousand schemes, because their accomplishment involved a chance of detection (283). Thinking he has gotten away with murder, the narrator declares, I am safe I ...
