High School Drum Research Paper
For the last ten years, drums have been ringing in my ears. When I started I was a little bored out
because I only knew basic beats, until middle school. I don t know how but I got into heavy metal,
with the band named Avenged Sevenfold . The drummer was phenomenal, so I was inspired to get
behind the drumset and learn the songs. So I would consider myself a self taught drummer.
When sophomore year of started, I got into a heavy punk band named Infadel . They didn t care
how old I was, it was the skill they were looking for. A few practices, and I lost interest because it
was repetitive for every song, and I ending up quitting. The reason I loved metal is because the
instrumentals and the melodies, but this band was just power and screaming. Then junior year
came, and the band contacted me and said We found a person who is the same age and skill level
as you, you should meet him, and make your own band and music! So I gave it a shot, and it was
great. Except for the alcohol and drugs which I would always refuse, I told the band I only in for
the music. But busy times came and I had ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I honestly would come back to my high school Silver Creek to be a drum tech. As a current band
leader for that school band, I hold responsibilities and I want to keep those responsibilities
coming back as an alumni. Since I always am on most people s case when they play to point
things out to them, the band knows my name, and knows why I love this class. I love to teach
younger students so they can pick up a new hobby and hopefully pursue it. I used to see myself
to be a famous drummer in like a heavy metal band in the future, but I see a brighter future
teaching and doing what I love. Music is what pushes me and entertains me no matter what the
genre or style it is. It is a beautiful sight to see the results at the end of each

Challenges For Project Management
We will beat the competition because I have unique skills in that I am both an excellent project
manager and an excellent teacher. (I have the awards to prove it!) In addition, I recognize that most
people who want to obtain this certification do not have time to sit through a 35 hour class nor want
to sit through 35 hours of video instruction. Therefore, I break the concepts down into
microlearning bites that are interactive and entertaining and add gamification learningto the process.

I have also compiled an extensive list of organizations that I have worked with in the past to do
some more personal marketing based upon working relationships rather than cold calls. Lastly, I
signed a contract with a local school that has a marketing department with a 70/30 split. They do
all the marketing, flyers, leaflets, seminars, etc to get people to the website with their code and I
provide the website and products. While it is a challenge, we have quite a few tools in our
toolbox as well as interested parties to throw resources at making it viable. Part of the investment
contract is level of communication needed concerning the business. I would ask the investors what
information they would like to receive and how frequently, then follow those contractual
agreements. For instance, if they wanted a quarterly meeting update, Q4 after website launch
would be a key time to inform investors of the challenge coming to fruition or we worried for
nothing. I was VERY conservative in my estimates for users especially at the beginning as to not
set expectations I did not thing we could achieve. 1.50 points 2 pages max

Analysis On The Digital Age Insurance
1Abstract
In today s Digital Age Insurance companies generate and gather data each minute, hour and day.
Every individual in these organizations starting at the top from executives, departmental decision
makers, to underwriters, claims adjusters and call center workers hope to learn things from
collected data that can help them make better decisions for the organization, take smarter actions
and operate more efficiently leading to Profitability.
The Biggest challenge the Insurance companies face begins when they begin extracting meaningful
insights from this explosion of data. Determining how to take advantage of all this data to price
better, expand markets and improve underwriting risk and handing claims. Fortunately, the science
of extracting insight from data is constantly evolving. Regardless of how much data you have, one
of the best ways to discern important relationships is through data visualization.
Data visualization, where information is presented in a pictorial or graphical format, is helping
insurance professionals see things that were not obvious to them before. Insurance companies
analyze historical data which includes information from policy administration solutions,
underwriting applications and billing systems to forecast and predict future losses.

Analysis Of Roe V. Wade
In modern days when the term abortion came up a lot of people felt quite uncomfortable because it
usually is a lightly touched subject that nobody speaks about. It is known as a forbidden word.
Abortion really means any variety of surgical methods for terminating a pregnancy, especially
during the first six months of the pregnancy. The background to the historical right of abortion
through Roe v. Wade can be examined by using all themes of geography, which is location and
place. The responsibilities of abortion can be understood through analysis with the themes of
movement, Human environment interaction and region. What is the historical background that

The historical right of abortion can be examined through the geographic themes of location and
place; the responsibilities of abortion are determined through the geographic themes of
movement, human environment, interaction, and region. Place is the historical events that led
up to the demand for abortion was Roe V. Wade and the Supreme Court ruling for the women
who can experience negative effects after birth and finally made the decision to legalize
abortion on January 22, 1973. Location is the demand in rights occurred when pregnant single
woman Roe spoke up about her situation and pleaded for the Supreme Court to allow abortion
to be legal because of the stability of her health. Movement is how people reacted in different
ways. People created pro life and pro choice opinions, which described how they felt about the
particular subject of abortion, Pro life believes that abortion should not be allowed under and
circumstances and argue that life begins at conception. Pro choice believes that abortion should be
entirely up to the mother and argue that it should be allowed for women who experienced rape or
incest. Human Environment interaction is how abortion impacted people in a variety of reasons
and mainly on the society. Women who have an abortion are 10% more likely to have mental
health issues and 34.9% more likely to commit suicide. Those

Social Media Stereotypes
You probably wake up in the morning, eat breakfast, get ready for the day, and then grab your
phone to check your Snapchat, Facebook, or other forms of social media. Social media is taking
over the world. More and more teenagers are getting a social media account. They are getting in
trouble in school, putting themselves into a bubble, and bullying others. This is what social
media s overall bad stereotype is. What if on the flip side it was not that but something better?
Yes, teenagers do get in trouble at school, but they do not do it as much as the society seems to
think. Teenagers need to follow the rules, that makes absolute sense, but the society is putting a
bad label on the heads of teenagers. Teenagers using social media in our world... Show more content

Obsession In Barbie Doll And The Birthmark
Everybody can to relate to being a Barbie Doll themselves. Despite being told nobody is perfect
we all strive to be perfection. So we focus on the things that make us less than perfect to improve
ourselves but focusing on the imperfections make us destroy our end goal. Everybody has some
type of obsession but at one point we all have a common enemy ourselves. Our bodies come in
different shapes and stains but it s our job to keep healthy and not obsess about ourselves but
unfortunately it tends to happen a lot. The worst part is anything could be an obsession whether it
s a video game, a birthmark, or having to big a nose and fat legs. In both Barbie Doll and The
Birthmark the two main female characters both die for similar reasons they both become obsessed
with something that other people tell them. Georgiana in The Birthmark never thought her unique
birthmark was a defect but instead a charm. But once her husband says it makes her look ugly she

The Ocean Of The Sky
Most often when a person gazez into the sky, during broad daylight, they see a whole array of
wonders. They see clouds; the faint wisp of the newly formed cloud, gently finding substance
within itself, or maybe the long lived cloud, traveling miles with the wind. They see the sun;
either on its own, glaringly bringing light to an entire half of our planet, or through the trees,
peeking through every single direct pathway to the eye it can find. They see blue; the ocean
reflecting with immense entirety onto the atmosphere. Most see much, much more than that,
and I know this because for the larger half of my life I was a part of this creative, insightful
majority. But then the tiny, insignificant half of my life suddenly began on one random day. On
that day, when gazing into the day sky, I could see nothing. Nothing at all. Not the fantastically
shaped clouds. Not the enormous light of the sun. Not the ocean in the sky. I saw in the abyss
above me a suffocating reality of what would soon be me; a very large and undeniable nothing.
When asking the average person how they feel about doctors, hospitals, nurses, basically any
person or thing even remotely associated with the medical field, they will likely use words
closely related to the word nightmare. Most people have this judgment based on small fears or
bad experiences, but I now understand why it is such a hated field. You enter the hospital and all
you see is sickness. Everything is sick, horrifyingly sick. The doors

The Rising Action Of The Crucible By Arthur Miller
The plot of a literary work is defined as the main events (storyline) of, in this case, a play, or
novel, movie, etc., devised and presented by the writer as an interrelated sequence. The plot
generally consists of an exposition, a main conflict, rising action, climactic event, falling action,
and a resolution. By this point in the play, Act III is beginning already in the rising action of the
play. Miller makes reading the concluding acts a rollercoaster ride by developing the plot uniquely
and particularly, making the reader eager for more. To begin with, the act opens in the vestry room
of the Salemmeeting house, now serving as the anteroom of the General Court (180). There is
already a bit of tension and conflict between the characters.

Radiation Chavez Experiments
Introduction
In this project we will determine how much radiation Chavez students are consuming daily as
well as annually. In order to find an accurate reading of the amount of radiation consumption we
came up with 10 questions that were crucial to our investigation. Our questions consist of
medical, travel and miscellaneous related objects that disperse radiation. In order for us to get a
more accurate idea of how much radiation students are consuming we made a total of 100
surveys, which were distributed to our Chavez peers. Once we gathered all information we made
precise calculations of each item according to the amount of mREM each item contained. After
that we will be analyzing our data and transfer it to a graph where it will be divided into 3
different sections; that is how we will determine where Chavez students are receiving most of the
radiation from.

People can differentiate between different types of radiation by finding the source of radiation, the
amount of energy being carried, and any particles involved.

A Research On Domestic Violence
Research Paper Development Log
Domestic Violence.
Domestic violence is defined like an action by one person against another with the intent to cause
harm and tried to getting power and control over the other. (Psychology Dictionary)
For me there s no better definition of domestic violence than the one that was previously stated,
since it involves two keywords: harm and power.

We can clearly note that there is more physical and sexual violence among the African American
race, whom are followed by Hispanics, then whites, and finally those of Mediterranean origin.

Abortion Is Wrong Essay
Is Abortion Wrong?
One of the most cherished beliefs of conservatives is that morals are absolute. If an act such as
abortion is wrong, they believe, it is wrong for all time; there are no exceptions. Usually, this
absolutism arises from the belief that the law of God cannot be broken under any circumstances.
Yet, not even the Bible considers an act to be wrong in and of itself the scriptures are loaded with
exceptions and qualifications to the law. To those who believe that the only exceptions to the law
should be those that the Judeo Christian God gives us, then there are three places to find those
exceptions: the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the writings of Christian leaders in the
2,000 years since. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Conservatives may object that the power actually belongs to God, and the church leadership is
simply transmitting the information. But history clearly refutes this idea. African slavery in
America received the full blessing of four centuries of popes. Considering the social and scientific
disasters that the Church hierarchy (of all denominations) have been guilty of promoting, from the
burning of witches to the enslavement of innocents, no thinking person could ever place blind faith
in the fallible leadership of men.
That s just a practical observation; let s turn to a more theoretical treatment of moral absolutism.
The problem with this theory is that not even the Bible considers an act to be wrong in and of
itself. God gave Israel the Ten Commandments forbidding certain acts, but then he also ordered
Israel to carry out those very acts against her enemies. This sort of moral relativism is apparent in
Christian history as well. Slavery and war were not condemned as evil in and of themselves;
Christian scholars and popes wrote entire libraries on what constituted just and unjust slavery and
just and unjust war. They drew all the exceptions permissible under God for these atrocities, which
they viewed as correct in certain circumstances. They also did this with more positive behaviors,
such as the only correct occasions to have sex, which the Church

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Integrated Circuits
INTRODUCTION TO VLSI
Very large scale integration (VLSI) is the process of creating integrated circuits by combining
thousands of transistor based circuits into a single chip. VLSI began in the 1970s when complex
semiconductor and communication technologies were being developed. The microprocessor is a
VLSI device. The term is no longer as common as it once was, as chips have increased in
complexity into the hundreds of millions of transistors.
Overview
The first semiconductor chips held one transistor each. Subsequent advances added more and more
transistors, and, as a consequence, more individual functions or systems were integrated over time.
The first integrated circuits held only a few devices, perhaps as many as ten diodes, transistors,
resistors and capacitors, making it possible to fabricate one or ... Show more content on

Integrated circuits improve system characteristics in several critical ways. ICs have three key
advantages over digital circuits built from discrete components: Size. Integrated circuits are much
smaller both transistors and wires are shrunk to micrometer sizes, compared to the millimeter or
centimeter scales of discrete components. Small size leads to advantages in speed and power
consumption, since smaller components have smaller parasitic resistances, capacitances, and
inductances. Speed. Signals can be switched between logic 0 and logic 1 much quicker within a
chip than they can between chips. Communication within a chip can occur hundreds of times faster
than communication between chips on a printed circuit board. The high speed of circuits on chip is
due to their small size smaller components and wires have smaller parasitic capacitances to slow

Organizational Behavior, Leadership, and Management
Introduction Leadership and management are two different concepts. Management is involved
with the operational oversight of employees, departments, or processes, while leadership is
involved with leading the company through organizational changes that are intended to enable the
company to meet its objectives. Leaders are expected to carry themselves in a positive manner to
motivate and influence the rest of the organization positively, because they act as an example to the
rest of the employees in the organization. Since leadershipis mainly influenced by the behavior,
different leaders apply different strategies to ensure that the objectives of the company have been
fully met (Sheahan, 2006). This paper analyzes the leadership theories and the methods and tools
given situations while selecting the appropriate behavior of different leaders in resolving some
problems in the organization. There are a number of theories that can be employed by the leaders
in different organization. The first theory is the direct leadership theory; this is a type of
leadership where leaders are mainly concerned with the productivity, the outcomes, and efficiency.
The leaders use the action and outcome approach to get the goal achieved. The leader is less
concerned in the aspect of creating a rapport between the employees. This theory can work best
organization which is global, since the employees do not directly relate with their leader. The
second leadership theory is the supportive

the idea of beauty portrayed by white society. Even Pecola s mother, Pauline Breedlove, at one
point in her life is obsessed with movies and white actresses. Her obsession with the movies
occurs before she had children. While Cholly is at work, she constantly goes to the movies. She
day dreams about white movie stars, because at the time African Americans did not have leading
roles. Pauline has a fixation on the actress, Jean Harlow. This obsession is similar to Pecola s
obsession with Shirley Temple. Pauline describes a time when she went to see a Jean Harlow
movie. She says, I fixed my hair up like I d seen hers in a magazine (Morrison, 1970, p.123).
Pauline was born with a limp foot, lost a few of her teeth, and ultimately sees herslef as ugly. She
does her hair like Jean Harlow hoping it will make her beautiful. Changing her hair style is not a
permanent change, but it allowed her to feel beautiful for a small amount of time. Pauline s
desperation for beauty is also inherited by her daughter,

Danger ! This Mission To Mars Could Bore You To Death !
NASA has never made a trip to Mars, but I don t think the benefits of going to Mars will
outweigh the risks. One of the reasons I don t think we should go to Mars is because it would
take eight months to get there. Yeah, it would be cool to be the first person on Mars but you are
taking a lot of risks. That is just one of my three reasons I don t think the benefits outweigh the risks.
First, When you go to Mars it is a very long flight. According to the text Danger! This Mission to
Mars Could Bore You to Death! in paragraph 2 the author states With current technology, the
journey takes more than eight months each way I think being in a spaceship for 8 months in
such a small space could not only take a long time, but it would make you really tired. So, in my

The Bell Jar Summary
Sylvia Plath subjects the main character of The Bell Jar, Esther Greenwood, to a wide array of
events in the ninth chapter of the novel. Esther experiences sadness, depression, relationship
violence, and a fight for purity in the timeframe of a single day. This odd plot combination seems
from a distance like a jumbled series of unfortunate events. However, each occurrence, along with a
common emotional background of genuine sadness, proves that Esther has begun to distance
herself from her reality and her future by matters that only she can control. The plot of the ninth
chapter focuses on Esther Greenwood s final day in New York City. She begins by walking to her
final photo shoot with another female in the internship program, Hilda. They discuss their feelings
of the Rosenberg execution, which is set to occur that night. At the photo shoot, Esther is the final
woman to have her picture taken. She poses with a paper rose, and bursts out in tears before the
photographer and her boss, Jay Cee. Later that evening, Esther begins to pack for home,... Show

As Marco touches her for the first time, he leaves a thumbprint purpled into view and four, faint

cease to see the man accountable any longer. However, Esther still goes to the country club with a
woman hater , hoping that the city s magnificence might rub off on me [Esther] at last. This
indicates that Esther is desperate to connect a purpose to her present situation. However, a date
night with an abusive man falls short of this desire, and Esther is ultimately left with nothing for
her time in New York City. Without any purpose derived from a once in a lifetime magazine
internship, Esther s lightly stated future goals of becoming a poet or a publisher are crushed when
she realizes that these careers involve a lifestyle that is foreign to

The Translator s Dilemma Of A Translator Essay
Ages ago, Cicero summed up the translator s dilemma in the following words:
If I render word for word, the result will sound uncouth and if compelled by necessity I alter
anything in the order or wording, I shall seem to have departed from the function of a translator
(qtd. in Bassnett 43). Translation in the first place, is transference of meaning from the Source
Language (SL) to the Target Language (TL). But what matters is not a translation of words from
SL to TL, for exact equivalence of words of the former is hard to get in the latter. Translation is
both linguistic and cultural activity and it is concerned with communication of meaning. It is not
merely lexical equivalent of words of one language to that of another, but much more. Since each
word is charged with memory, associations and literary echoes, it is difficult to find full
equivalence of a SL word in another word in TL. That is why, total or full translation is a myth.
The translator has to make a balance between maintaining close fidelity to the original and utter
freedom it. Sri Aurobindo is in favour of taking liberty with the original. He states that a translator
is not necessarily bound to the original he chooses; he can make his own poem out of it, if he
likes, and that is what is generally done (2). Translation is neither transliteration nor transcreation
and it has to and it has to guard against the danger of word for word literal translation as well as
taking too much liberty. In the name

Differences Between The COBOL Programming Language Vs. PHP...
There are many differences that we can find between the COBOL programming language and PHP
language. Both had different upbringing, different purpose to serve, different features, and different
strengths and weaknesses. Also, it is interesting to note that one is a legacy language while one is
much more modern, which we will explore these influences on how time and expectation of modern
society could have affected the latter language. In 1959, a programming languagewas developed by
CODASYL(Conference/Committee on Data Systems Languages), in an effort to create a standard
for data processing to use across all computers. It was heavily influenced by the work of Grace
Hopper, an advocate of machine independent programming languages. Its name was COBOLand it
stood for Common Business Oriented Language, the sole language for business applications.
Nowadays, some of the compilers available for COBOL are IBM COBOL, GnuCOBOL,
NetCOBOL, VisualCOBOL, and MCP. Also, some of the IDEs available for COBOL are
Eclipse, CANDE, OCIDE, and HackEdit. CODASYL was looking to create a common business
language to use across all industries, with support from the US Department of Defense, who was
also interested in obtaining such a language. The only mainstream language at the time of COBOL
s conception was FORTRAN, which... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Compact Cameras And My Pocket Sized Camera
As a present, my husband announced that I was to research the newest compact cameras so that
I could update my pocket sized camera. Previously I had a Kodak compact camera however the
features were lacking and it was starting to eat batteries, it was time for a new camera. It was
shocking to find that compact cameras have come a long way since the last time I purchase a
compact camerajust five years ago. There were many cameras to choose from and most were under
$200.00. Here are my top eight picks for compact cameras for under $200.00. They are listed in no
order of quality or price. 1. Sony Cybershot W120: If you are looking for a colorful camera to
express yourself, this is the camera for you. It comes in the original silver, or one can choose the
same camera in black, pink, blue, or red. Choosing a color is nice but I found that some colors
were $50.00 or more, just to have a color on the outside case. Similar to the Olympus FE 300, it
contains a 15 MB internal memory; 4x Optical Zoom; 2.5 1 LCD Display; Lithium Ion battery; and
utilizes a Memory StickDuo for memory. The only downside of the camera is that it contains only
7.2 Megapixels, much under the Olympus camera. I have talked to a friend that owns this camera
which states that the camera is good for tons of lighting like outdoors but does not work well
indoors with lower, florescent lighting. It can be purchased at just about any store for under
$200.00, especially at Wal Mart. 2. Canon Powershot SD1100

After that, the Audrie and Daisy documentary was born. Being a part of such a big project, she

As the world becomes more globalized, English seems to dominate the world as the leader of

his advantage throughout the majority of his article, noting that nearly eighty percent of the world s
electronic information is recorded in English and that around 400 million people speak English as a

How Did Copernicus Create A Paradigm Shift To A...
This paper analyzes the veracity of the fairly commonplace belief that Nicolaus Copernicus
produced a paradigm shift in the field of astronomy from the geocentric Ptolemaic model to his
own heliocentric model that resembles what contemporary astronomy deems as true. The starting
point is the analysis of the work put forth by Copernicus in contrast to his Ptolemaic predecessors
and his heliocentric successors. The framework for this analysis is the one suggested by Thomas
Kuhn in his description of a paradigm shift in the context of scientific development. The paper
concludes that Copernicus deserves a lot of credit for initiating the heliocentric paradigm shift,
similar to the widespread sentiment that his work revolutionized astronomy and produced a
paradigm shift to a heliocentric model, but not quite the same. His work retains a large number of
elements from the Ptolemaic system which prevented it from being a clear shift, but he does indeed
challenge the geocentric and geostationary (that the earth is at rest) assumptions in a move that
threatens the core of the Ptolemaic system. Nonetheless, his work did little more than argue from a
position with weak... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kuhn himself used the term rather loosely in his landmark book The Structure of Scientific
Revolutions , referring to either the laws and principles that govern scientific inquiry within a

himself) started the shift away from deriving scientific knowledge from scripture and thus he
started a paradigm shift in the former sense, those implications are fairly removed from Copernicus
himself. As such, arguing whether he initiated a paradigm shift in the latter sense is a more

Tolerance For Ambiguity, Learning Style, Dominant Conflict...
The team has to have people from different majors which are necessary to fulfill the projects.
There should be no misunderstanding, ego, complex and domination among the members as it
would only destroy the peace and focus on the goal. Strength would be team player, hard worker,
focused on achieving target, etc. should be able to balance work and personal life and never let
one come in the others path. In this paper I will talk about Tolerance for ambiguity, learning style,
dominant conflict managementstyles, and dominant reactions to dissonance.
Analysis:
Tolerance for ambiguity: Ambiguity is a psychological construct which describes the relationship
that not clear, it could be ambiguous things, behavior, or words.
(Budner, 1962, p.29) Tolerance for ambiguity is how to deal with a situation in a calm and genius
way. We see here that each individual has a difference and they are different in many ways, which
means the way they function varies. It does not mean they would not work efficiently. An idea will
have many people suggesting many possible ways to get things done, one should be open to accept
it.
My ambiguity tolerance score is 63 out of 112, implications of being directed by others: being part
of this kind of organization has its advantage especially, it can be learning in the practice how an
organization in the area of interest is developed without being the main responsible of its right

Faint Memories Of My Birth Certificates
Starting this assignment, I do no feel overwhelming emotion to see my birth certificate. Faint
memories of my certificate linger within my head. In the past, I examined my birth certificate for
reasons I forgotten. Through these past examinations, I m certain that nothing out of the ordinary
pertaining to this document exist. I believe that my parents carry truth in their words and that my
motherbrought me into this life. All though, I suppose checking this document serves well to
familiarize myself with this legal document. Asking my parents for this document, they questioned
why I desired to see it after such a long time. I explained to them that it correlates to a writing
assignment for my critical thinking class. My parents overwhelmed with confusion to what kind of
assignment correlates to ones birth certificate, but I insisted that they would be better off not asking
questions. Confused and a bit off, they take me upstairs to a locked filing cabinet where all
important documents that correspond to my familybelong. Rummaging through the section of my
documents, they pull out my birth certificate. A minuscule amount of excitement runs through my
body. This small... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Possible Causes Of Jealousy In Relationship
Possible causes of jealousy and its effects on a relationship
One of the most authentic causes of jealousy is unhealthy comparisons. By human nature people
are often comparing things and one another.
Insecurity There is no greater source of jealousy in a relationship than insecurity, which is a
result of inferiority complex or lack of self confidence or having low self esteem. An insecure
person believes that he or she is not good enough; they assume that everyone else is better than
they are and are therefore easily intimidated by other people s success, happiness, brilliance,
possession or class. Insecurity which can arise as a result of peer pressure or unbalanced societal
expectations or judgment causes people to become vulnerable to ... Show more content on

Jealousy is a sign that something is seriously wrong about your relationship. And most often it is
not about your partner but rather about you. Do you have trust issues? Do you have a low self
esteem? Do you feel the need to control your partner s whereabouts and actions? All these things
will do more damage than good to your relationship.
Nobody wants a jealous lover. Jealousy will simply sap the energy and beauty out of your
relationship. According to Eharmony.com Jealousy is all about trying to restrict, manipulate, and
monitor another person s behavior and choices. Look out if your relationship is increasingly filled
with questions such as, Where were you? Why were you talking to him? Who sent you that text
message? You heard from that person on Facebook again?
A relationship thrives on freedom the freedom to grow and develop, to be authentic and genuine, to
pursue new opportunities. Unfounded jealousy is a stranglehold sure to suffocate any romantic
relationship. Wanta lasting, healthy love relationship? Make sure both partners have the space,
encouragement, and autonomy to be who they are without someone else watching every breath and

Management Action Plan
ACTION amp; DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Prepared by: Yasser Al Saidi
Date: January 23rd 2011
INTRODUCTION
This Management Action Plan (MAP) provides short term and long term strategic plans for the
improvements and operations of the YEFE. The Plan expands upon the specific short and long term
recommendations that were developed through the review and analysis of the current management
system and were developed within the context of phased time frames for implementation. The
establishment of different time frames is based upon the recognition that certain management and
structural improvements can be achieved in a relative short period of time while others will require
a longer developmental period to complete. Implementation time ... Show more content on

Innovative Management The degree to which management has provided creative work options to
meet the dynamic needs of the work force and the innovative identification of potential funding
sources and alternate actions that accomplish identified goals within current funding resources. d.
Program Planning The degree to which management has developed a cohesive, practical planning
structure or proper planning mechanism that sets forth the missions, goals and objectives for the

In addition to this clear lack of operational visions, there also existed a lack of functional
management direction. In other words, even where clear goals and objectives existed, management
failed to convey such goals and objectives and further failed to ensure that staff undertook to meet
the stated goals and objectives. This lack of effective management oversight has diminished the
quality of service delivery to the public.
Within this context, there also existed a significant lack of innovative management. This may
partially stem from the failure to communicate clear goals and objectives. With a lack of clearly
defined work goals, it was difficult to produce

Summary Of Man Ray s Disarming Venuses
In the essay, Man Ray s Disarming Venuses: Deconstructing the Classical Torso in Surrealist
Photography, the author, Kirsten A. Hoving, examines photographs created by Man Ray and how it
relates to the classical Venus sculptures. By using Man Ray s idea of deconstructing the classical
female torso in fragments, body doubling corsets, and formless figures, the author argues how those
characteristics communicate the meaning of eroticism and power within Surrealist photography
and literature. Within the first argument, the author explains how the Surrealist artists drew their
inspiration of the female torso from the ancient mythological god, Venus. Hoving noted that the
artists explored ways which the human body can appear as fragments and how it could be used
systematically. Hoving stated how the Surrealist found the female torso as a metaphor and
metamorphosis (123). The Surrealist artist went further through the exploration of the human
figure, and shocking the viewers in their depiction of mutilated, or distorted bodies. In the 1930s,
such visions have had provided the artist due to the horrors that were placed upon World War I
veterans, as they were left limbless or using prosthetics. Hoving provided an example of physical
deformity depicted in art. She talked about how one of Man Ray s photographs of Lillian Strauss.
To support his argument, Hoving discusses how Man Ray achieved the beauty of physical
deformity by deconstructing the human body and turn it into

Comparing A Protest Against The Sun And A Perfect Day For...
The reality and illusion of the beach A perfect day for Bananafish by J.D. Salinger and A Protest
Against the Sun by Steven Millhauser are two different stories that are held in a similar place,
the beach. In both stories we have the main characters, Seymour, a retired soldier that felt he
didn t belong to the new society, and Elizabeth, a girl that was trying to be closer to her family.
They found the beach as the perfect place to find the reality of what was happening and
dismissed the illusions of their lives. In the first part of A perfect day for Bananafish we have
Muriel, Seymour s wife. Seymour was a retired soldier that had psychological issues. She was
talking with her mother, who looks to be very concern because of Seymour, but Muriel didn t
care, she just wanted to be in the beach with his husband even he is not mentally good. The same
happened to Elizabeth, she went to the beach to leave for a while the responsibilities and by the
time she was there she realized that the beach was an opportunity to assert her family feelings....

Subject: Auditing, share based payment and SPE reporting
A publically traded company offers challenges to auditing when it comes to shared based payment
reporting and special purpose entities (SPE) reporting individually. The most basic principle of
GAAP at risk is the qualitative characteristic of reliability. Shared based payment and SPE
reporting individually has been broken down to better equip the audit for our client.
It is important to notice that Special Purpose Entities should be carefully reviewed by each member

SPE Reporting Individually
A special purpose entity (SPE) is a business interest formed in order to perform a specific task or
tasks. SPE s are also referred to as off balance sheet arrangements. SPE s are formed to 1).
Finance certain assets or services and keeping the associated debt off the balance sheet of the
sponsors, 2).Transform certain financial assets, such as trade receivables, loans, or mortgages,
into liquid securities, and 3). Engage in tax free exchanges (Saroosh, 2004). Most of the SPE s in
the U.S. have been organized as limited liability corporations (LLC). A trust is also a common SPE
in the U.S.
US GAAP has two models for off balance sheet treatment of SPEs one addressing de recognition
of assets and the second dealing with consolidation of variable interest entities. Initially
accounting treatment for SPE s was established by FAS 140. Until 2010, de recognition of assets
were governed by FAS 140, according to Basel Committee (2009). In order to be de recognized,
assets must be isolated from the transferor and put beyond the reach of creditors and receivers.
This standard is commonly referred to as meeting true sale criteria. To qualify as a true sale; the
transferor must surrender effective control over the

The House Building Methods Within The Uk
Introduction
With more interest into the industrialization of house building methods within the UK, attention has
been narrowed down to certain manufactured structural components and specifically the problems
of wet trades . Less focus has been put on quality and how efficient the assembly process on site.
The process of house building has been focused on traditional methods rather than a specific
method. The absence of standards which should be applicable for good practice, these problems
can be seen on the same site. Process documentation describes the process specifically to have
certain standards, these changes are needed to improve on the whole building environment.
The house industry within the UK has been judged negatively for lacking build quality and a
slow pace of new creative inventions (Ball, 1998). The UK is falling behind other countries
which are using improved materials and processes (Sarja 1998; Gann et al, 1999). Less
considerations is taking care of at the fitting stage while on site due to variable workforce skills.
This issue has become bigger due to the dependence on self employed workers this has hindered
the creation of new inventions (Ball, 1998).
House Building Industry
The UK housing industry has been taken over by builders working privately (Bramley et al,
1995). Creative inventions have often been placed second on level of importance this has tried to
be overcome by opposition between workers but also to keep skills up to standard (Ball, 1996,

The University of San Diego is the most picturesque and interesting school I have ever seen. The
amazing campus flows on top of the massive hills and above the amazing city of San Diego. From
any building or road on campus, you can get a view unattainable anywhere else in the world. The
attribute though, that separates this university from all others, is the history behind it. The rich
religious history gives every part of the campus meaning, not found at many other universities in
America. These religious beliefs give the University of San Diego and academic feel unrivaled by
any other school. The togetherness that is brought by religionis something that is very uncommon
in today s world. When I visited the university the first thing I noticed

Further, for Church one is possessed by demons. Thus by being Mexican and lesbian, she violates

magical power and was believed to be half half: man and woman. Indeed, one common belief in the
Hispanic culture is that gay men are hyper creative.
Another example of this duality in people from Latin America living in the United States is the
constant proof of proficiency. For instance, one goes to the primary care, the first question when
they notice you have a Hispanic last name and speak with an accent, do you understand English?
Other times, they would speak slowly as if the patient was two year old. e.g., h o w ol d are

Christopher Bruce Ghost Dance
Ghost Dances has a tremendous impact and audiences in many countries have delighted in its
distinctive rhythmic movement performed to haunting South American tunes. However, it is the
representation of the oppression of ordinary people, symbolised by sinister ghost figures, which
give the work much of its resonance. (NSW Department of Education and Training)
The Ballet dance, which also incorporates movements of contemporary and South American folk
dance, entitled Ghost Dancers sends a message to the viewer that the oppression of everyday people
(based on the Chilean Coup) is well represented throughout the dance, mostly due to the movement,
costumes, sets, lighting, music and overall mood of the dance. Choreographed by Christopher Bruce

Ghost Dancers fuses many styles of dance including the primary style of ballet, contemporary
and traditional Chilean folk dance. Ballet is the base of the dance as Bruce is primarily a Ballet
choreographer. Contemporary is evident as flexed feet and bent arms and legs are seen
throughout the performance. And Chilean folk dance can be seen in many sections of the dance
with the civilians, as there are many quick movements of the feet and, as shown in the fourth
section with the women, they do a movement throughout their section, which consists of change
of direction with their arms out. The costumes that the dancers wear are also significant. The
costume that the ghost dancers wear is based on the Native American legend of the Ghost Dance
or Natdia. This spiritual dance was performed during the late 1880 s, when things were bad and
the Native Americans needed something to give them hope. The dance reached its high point just
before the Wounded Knee Massacre of 1890, where US soldiers opened fire and killed over 200
hundred Native Americans. They believed that performing the ghost dance would later reunite
them with their ancestors along the line. The civilians costumes represented that of everyday
people. They all had different clothes on and of the three different classes of people, lower, middle
and upper class. This gives a representation that during the coup that no specific class was targeted
and that anyone could be a

Dangers Of Music
The Dangers of Music As one may tune in to some of their favorite music, has he or she ever
wondered what music does to someone? Before one decides to listen to some music, he or she
should think of what this music will do if they listen to it. One should always be careful of what
they do or even listen to. It may not seem harmful, but the matter is actually very serious. Parents
may perceive it to be innocent and normal when children and teenagers listen to music, but in
reality, sometimes unbeknownst to the parents, music has deep psychological implications for
children and teenagers (Mushtaq 107). The Dangers of Music are that it affects the brain, body,
feelings, and desires in a very negative way. The first danger of Music is that it affects the Brain.
Music affects the memory, the limbic system, and concentration and judgment of the person. When
music is played, it acts much like an intoxicant, in that it makes a person forget about his or her
surroundings. It takes the mind into a delusional state. In the realm of mind, there is mounting
evidence that certain types of music have a negative effect on one s ability to think and learn,
especially at the time he or she is listening to the music. Studies at two separate universities, for
example, have found that rats have a much more difficult time learning to pass through a maze if
they are subjected to rock music... Music blurs the critical judgment of the brain (Mushtaq 56 57).
This shows that music is dangerous and

  • 2. High School Drum Research Paper For the last ten years, drums have been ringing in my ears. When I started I was a little bored out because I only knew basic beats, until middle school. I don t know how but I got into heavy metal, with the band named Avenged Sevenfold . The drummer was phenomenal, so I was inspired to get behind the drumset and learn the songs. So I would consider myself a self taught drummer. When sophomore year of started, I got into a heavy punk band named Infadel . They didn t care how old I was, it was the skill they were looking for. A few practices, and I lost interest because it was repetitive for every song, and I ending up quitting. The reason I loved metal is because the instrumentals and the melodies, but this band was just power and screaming. Then junior year came, and the band contacted me and said We found a person who is the same age and skill level as you, you should meet him, and make your own band and music! So I gave it a shot, and it was great. Except for the alcohol and drugs which I would always refuse, I told the band I only in for the music. But busy times came and I had ... As a current band leader for that school band, I hold responsibilities and I want to keep those responsibilities coming back as an alumni. Since I always am on most people s case when they play to point things out to them, the band knows my name, and knows why I love this class. I love to teach younger students so they can pick up a new hobby and hopefully pursue it. I used to see myself to be a famous drummer in like a heavy metal band in the future, but I see a brighter future teaching and doing what I love. Music is what pushes me and entertains me no matter what the genre or style it is. It is a beautiful sight to see the results at the end of each ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

(I have the awards to prove it!) In addition, I recognize that most people who want to obtain this certification do not have time to sit through a 35 hour class nor want to sit through 35 hours of video instruction. Therefore, I break the concepts down into microlearning bites that are interactive and entertaining and add gamification learningto the process. I have also compiled an extensive list of organizations that I have worked with in the past to do some more personal marketing based upon working relationships rather than cold calls. They do all the marketing, flyers, leaflets, seminars, etc to get people to the website with their code and I provide the website and products. While it is a challenge, we have quite a few tools in our toolbox as well as interested parties to throw resources at making it viable. Part of the investment contract is level of communication needed concerning the business. I would ask the investors what information they would like to receive and how frequently, then follow those contractual agreements. For instance, if they wanted a quarterly meeting update, Q4 after website launch would be a key time to inform investors of the challenge coming to fruition or we worried for nothing. • 4. Analysis On The Digital Age Insurance 1Abstract In today s Digital Age Insurance companies generate and gather data each minute, hour and day. Every individual in these organizations starting at the top from executives, departmental decision makers, to underwriters, claims adjusters and call center workers hope to learn things from collected data that can help them make better decisions for the organization, take smarter actions and operate more efficiently leading to Profitability. The Biggest challenge the Insurance companies face begins when they begin extracting meaningful insights from this explosion of data. Determining how to take advantage of all this data to price better, expand markets and improve underwriting risk and handing claims. Fortunately, the science of extracting insight from data is constantly evolving. Regardless of how much data you have, one of the best ways to discern important relationships is through data visualization. Data visualization, where information is presented in a pictorial or graphical format, is helping insurance professionals see things that were not obvious to them before. Insurance companies analyze historical data which includes information from policy administration solutions, underwriting applications and billing systems to forecast and predict future losses. 2Introduction: Underwriting is one of the important processes in insurance operations. Social media is taking over the world. More and more teenagers are getting a social media account. They are getting in trouble in school, putting themselves into a bubble, and bullying others. This is what social media s overall bad stereotype is. What if on the flip side it was not that but something better? Yes, teenagers do get in trouble at school, but they do not do it as much as the society seems to think. So we focus on the things that make us less than perfect to improve ourselves but focusing on the imperfections make us destroy our end goal. Everybody has some type of obsession but at one point we all have a common enemy ourselves. Our bodies come in different shapes and stains but it s our job to keep healthy and not obsess about ourselves but unfortunately it tends to happen a lot. In both Barbie Doll and The Birthmark the two main female characters both die for similar reasons they both become obsessed with something that other people tell them. • 8. The Ocean Of The Sky Most often when a person gazez into the sky, during broad daylight, they see a whole array of wonders. They see clouds; the faint wisp of the newly formed cloud, gently finding substance within itself, or maybe the long lived cloud, traveling miles with the wind. They see the sun; either on its own, glaringly bringing light to an entire half of our planet, or through the trees, peeking through every single direct pathway to the eye it can find. They see blue; the ocean reflecting with immense entirety onto the atmosphere. Most see much, much more than that, and I know this because for the larger half of my life I was a part of this creative, insightful majority. But then the tiny, insignificant half of my life suddenly began on one random day. On that day, when gazing into the day sky, I could see nothing. Nothing at all. Not the fantastically shaped clouds. Not the enormous light of the sun. Not the ocean in the sky. I saw in the abyss above me a suffocating reality of what would soon be me; a very large and undeniable nothing. When asking the average person how they feel about doctors, hospitals, nurses, basically any person or thing even remotely associated with the medical field, they will likely use words closely related to the word nightmare. The Rising Action Of The Crucible By Arthur Miller The plot of a literary work is defined as the main events (storyline) of, in this case, a play, or novel, movie, etc., devised and presented by the writer as an interrelated sequence. The plot generally consists of an exposition, a main conflict, rising action, climactic event, falling action, and a resolution. By this point in the play, Act III is beginning already in the rising action of the play. Miller makes reading the concluding acts a rollercoaster ride by developing the plot uniquely and particularly, making the reader eager for more. To begin with, the act opens in the vestry room of the Salemmeeting house, now serving as the anteroom of the General Court (180). There is already a bit of tension and conflict between the characters. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Radiation Chavez Experiments Introduction In this project we will determine how much radiation Chavez students are consuming daily as well as annually. In order to find an accurate reading of the amount of radiation consumption we came up with 10 questions that were crucial to our investigation. Our questions consist of medical, travel and miscellaneous related objects that disperse radiation. In order for us to get a more accurate idea of how much radiation students are consuming we made a total of 100 surveys, which were distributed to our Chavez peers. Once we gathered all information we made precise calculations of each item according to the amount of mREM each item contained. Domestic violence is defined like an action by one person against another with the intent to cause harm and tried to getting power and control over the other. • 12. Abortion Is Wrong Essay Is Abortion Wrong? One of the most cherished beliefs of conservatives is that morals are absolute. If an act such as abortion is wrong, they believe, it is wrong for all time; there are no exceptions. Usually, this absolutism arises from the belief that the law of God cannot be broken under any circumstances. Yet, not even the Bible considers an act to be wrong in and of itself the scriptures are loaded with exceptions and qualifications to the law. To those who believe that the only exceptions to the law should be those that the Judeo Christian God gives us, then there are three places to find those exceptions: the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the writings of Christian leaders in the 2,000 years since. ... But history clearly refutes this idea. African slavery in America received the full blessing of four centuries of popes. Considering the social and scientific disasters that the Church hierarchy (of all denominations) have been guilty of promoting, from the burning of witches to the enslavement of innocents, no thinking person could ever place blind faith in the fallible leadership of men. That s just a practical observation; let s turn to a more theoretical treatment of moral absolutism. The problem with this theory is that not even the Bible considers an act to be wrong in and of itself. God gave Israel the Ten Commandments forbidding certain acts, but then he also ordered Israel to carry out those very acts against her enemies. This sort of moral relativism is apparent in Christian history as well. Slavery and war were not condemned as evil in and of themselves; Christian scholars and popes wrote entire libraries on what constituted just and unjust slavery and just and unjust war. They drew all the exceptions permissible under God for these atrocities, which they viewed as correct in certain circumstances. They also did this with more positive behaviors, such as the only correct occasions to have sex, which the Church ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Integrated Circuits INTRODUCTION TO VLSI Very large scale integration (VLSI) is the process of creating integrated circuits by combining thousands of transistor based circuits into a single chip. VLSI began in the 1970s when complex semiconductor and communication technologies were being developed. The microprocessor is a VLSI device. The term is no longer as common as it once was, as chips have increased in complexity into the hundreds of millions of transistors. Overview The first semiconductor chips held one transistor each. Subsequent advances added more and more transistors, and, as a consequence, more individual functions or systems were integrated over time. The first integrated circuits held only a few devices, perhaps as many as ten diodes, transistors, resistors and capacitors, making it possible to fabricate one or ... ICs have three key advantages over digital circuits built from discrete components: Size. Integrated circuits are much smaller both transistors and wires are shrunk to micrometer sizes, compared to the millimeter or centimeter scales of discrete components. Small size leads to advantages in speed and power consumption, since smaller components have smaller parasitic resistances, capacitances, and inductances. Speed. Signals can be switched between logic 0 and logic 1 much quicker within a chip than they can between chips. Communication within a chip can occur hundreds of times faster than communication between chips on a printed circuit board. Management is involved with the operational oversight of employees, departments, or processes, while leadership is involved with leading the company through organizational changes that are intended to enable the company to meet its objectives. Leaders are expected to carry themselves in a positive manner to motivate and influence the rest of the organization positively, because they act as an example to the rest of the employees in the organization. Since leadershipis mainly influenced by the behavior, different leaders apply different strategies to ensure that the objectives of the company have been fully met (Sheahan, 2006). This paper analyzes the leadership theories and the methods and tools given situations while selecting the appropriate behavior of different leaders in resolving some problems in the organization. There are a number of theories that can be employed by the leaders in different organization. The first theory is the direct leadership theory; this is a type of leadership where leaders are mainly concerned with the productivity, the outcomes, and efficiency. The leaders use the action and outcome approach to get the goal achieved. The leader is less concerned in the aspect of creating a rapport between the employees. • 24. The Translator s Dilemma Of A Translator Essay Ages ago, Cicero summed up the translator s dilemma in the following words: If I render word for word, the result will sound uncouth and if compelled by necessity I alter anything in the order or wording, I shall seem to have departed from the function of a translator (qtd. in Bassnett 43). Translation in the first place, is transference of meaning from the Source Language (SL) to the Target Language (TL). But what matters is not a translation of words from SL to TL, for exact equivalence of words of the former is hard to get in the latter. Translation is both linguistic and cultural activity and it is concerned with communication of meaning. It is not merely lexical equivalent of words of one language to that of another, but much more. Since each word is charged with memory, associations and literary echoes, it is difficult to find full equivalence of a SL word in another word in TL. That is why, total or full translation is a myth. The translator has to make a balance between maintaining close fidelity to the original and utter freedom it. Sri Aurobindo is in favour of taking liberty with the original. He states that a translator is not necessarily bound to the original he chooses; he can make his own poem out of it, if he likes, and that is what is generally done (2). Translation is neither transliteration nor transcreation and it has to and it has to guard against the danger of word for word literal translation as well as taking too much liberty. In the name ... Both had different upbringing, different purpose to serve, different features, and different strengths and weaknesses. Also, it is interesting to note that one is a legacy language while one is much more modern, which we will explore these influences on how time and expectation of modern society could have affected the latter language. In 1959, a programming languagewas developed by CODASYL(Conference/Committee on Data Systems Languages), in an effort to create a standard for data processing to use across all computers. It was heavily influenced by the work of Grace Hopper, an advocate of machine independent programming languages. Its name was COBOLand it stood for Common Business Oriented Language, the sole language for business applications. Nowadays, some of the compilers available for COBOL are IBM COBOL, GnuCOBOL, NetCOBOL, VisualCOBOL, and MCP. Also, some of the IDEs available for COBOL are Eclipse, CANDE, OCIDE, and HackEdit. This paper analyzes the veracity of the fairly commonplace belief that Nicolaus Copernicus produced a paradigm shift in the field of astronomy from the geocentric Ptolemaic model to his own heliocentric model that resembles what contemporary astronomy deems as true. The starting point is the analysis of the work put forth by Copernicus in contrast to his Ptolemaic predecessors and his heliocentric successors. The framework for this analysis is the one suggested by Thomas Kuhn in his description of a paradigm shift in the context of scientific development. The paper concludes that Copernicus deserves a lot of credit for initiating the heliocentric paradigm shift, similar to the widespread sentiment that his work revolutionized astronomy and produced a paradigm shift to a heliocentric model, but not quite the same. His work retains a large number of elements from the Ptolemaic system which prevented it from being a clear shift, but he does indeed challenge the geocentric and geostationary (that the earth is at rest) assumptions in a move that threatens the core of the Ptolemaic system. Nonetheless, his work did little more than argue from a position with weak... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hoving, examines photographs created by Man Ray and how it relates to the classical Venus sculptures. By using Man Ray s idea of deconstructing the classical female torso in fragments, body doubling corsets, and formless figures, the author argues how those characteristics communicate the meaning of eroticism and power within Surrealist photography and literature. Within the first argument, the author explains how the Surrealist artists drew their inspiration of the female torso from the ancient mythological god, Venus. Hoving noted that the artists explored ways which the human body can appear as fragments and how it could be used systematically. Hoving stated how the Surrealist found the female torso as a metaphor and metamorphosis (123).
