INTRODUCTION
 Moving the grass cutters with a standard motor is inconvenient, and no
one takes pleasure in it
 Classical grass cutters with heavy engines create noise pollution and
local air pollution due to the combustion in the engine
 Motor powered engines require periodic maintenance such as changing
the engine oils etc.
 If the electric grass cutter is corded, moving could prove to be
problematic and dangerous
 Solar ways grass cutters are environment friendly
 This prototype will charge from sun using solar panels

WORKING PRINCIPLE
 Commanded by wireless remote to the device
 Moves forward or backward by given command by user
 Contains two motors which are connected by separate wheels which move forward and
backward on the grass
 Inner part of the device have a set of blades which cuts the grass
 Have 6 hour power backup
WORKING DIAGRAM
APPLICATIONS
 For Playgrounds (cricket ground, football ground etc.)
 For House gardens
 For small farms
 For nurseries
ADVANTAGES
 Compact size and portable
 No fuel cost
 No pollution
 Easy to move from one place to another
 Less wear and tear
 Non-skilled person can also operate
DISADVANTAGES
 Blade failure
 Manually operated
 Difficult to operate in rainy seasons
WHY THIS PROJECT ?
 This project is more suitable for a common man as it have much more advantages i.e., no fuel
cost, no pollution and no fuel residue, less wear and tear.
 This provides more physical exercise to the people and can be easily handled.
 As we are nearer to Equator, the solar energy is vastly available so it’s very easy to charge the
battery.
 At present in order to decrease global warming and ozone depletion, the Government of India is
offering subsidy for the solar devices.
 Mass productions can cut the cost of the device.
 In future it is expected to run all devices by solar energy. This system is having facility of
charging the batteries while the solar powered grass cutter is in motion.

INTRODUCTION  Moving the grass cutters with a standard motor is inconvenient, and no one takes pleasure in it  Classical grass cutters with heavy engines create noise pollution and local air pollution due to the combustion in the engine  Motor powered engines require periodic maintenance such as changing the engine oils etc.  If the electric grass cutter is corded, moving could prove to be problematic and dangerous  Solar ways grass cutters are environment friendly  This prototype will charge from sun using solar panels

WORKING PRINCIPLE  Commanded by wireless remote to the device  Moves forward or backward by given command by user  Contains two motors which are connected by separate wheels which move forward and backward on the grass  Inner part of the device have a set of blades which cuts the grass  Have 6 hour power backup
  • 26. APPLICATIONS  For Playgrounds (cricket ground, football ground etc.)  For House gardens  For small farms  For nurseries
  • 27. ADVANTAGES  Compact size and portable  No fuel cost  No pollution  Easy to move from one place to another  Less wear and tear  Non-skilled person can also operate
  • 28. DISADVANTAGES  Blade failure  Manually operated  Difficult to operate in rainy seasons
  • 29. WHY THIS PROJECT ?  This project is more suitable for a common man as it have much more advantages i.e., no fuel cost, no pollution and no fuel residue, less wear and tear.  This provides more physical exercise to the people and can be easily handled.  As we are nearer to Equator, the solar energy is vastly available so it’s very easy to charge the battery.  At present in order to decrease global warming and ozone depletion, the Government of India is offering subsidy for the solar devices.  Mass productions can cut the cost of the device.  In future it is expected to run all devices by solar energy. This system is having facility of charging the batteries while the solar powered grass cutter is in motion.
