This document describes the design and fabrication of a prototype solar-powered automatic grass cutter robot. A group of students at Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University of Engineering and Technology designed the robot to reduce pollution and noise from fuel-powered lawn mowers. The robot uses solar panels to charge its batteries and power brushless DC motors and a microcontroller to cut grass automatically. The document outlines the components, programming, assembly, performance comparisons, applications and future recommendations for the solar grass cutter robot.
Nowadays pollution is a major issue for whole world. Pollution is manmade and can be seen in own homes. In case Gas powered lawn mowers due to the emission of gases it is responsible for pollution. Also the cost of fuel is increasing hence it is not efficient. So the Solar powered lawn cutters are introduced. Solar powered lawn mower can be described as the application of solar energy to power an electric motor which in turn rotates a blade which does the mowing of a lawn. Solar energy is the renewable energy. Grass cutter or lawn mowing with a standard motor powered lawn mower is an inconvenience, and no one takes pleasure in it. Cutting grass cannot be easily accomplished by elderly, younger, or disabled people. Motor powered push lawn mowers and riding lawn mowers create noise pollution due to the loud engine, and local air pollution due to the combustion in the engine. Also, a motor powered engine requires periodic maintenance such as changing the engine oil. Even though electric lawn mowers are environmentally friendly, they too can be an inconvenience. Along with motor powered lawn mowers, electric lawn mowers are also hazardous and cannot be easily used by all.
A Solar grass cutter is a machine that uses spiral roller blades to cut a lawn at a faster rate.
Solar grass cutter can operate manually and motor driven.Even more sophisticated devices are there in every field.Power consumption becomes essential for future.
Keywords: Gearing Mechanism, Spiral Roller Blades, RF Module, Solar Panels, Adjustment Of Mower, Solar Operated.
In today’s generation the major problems are
the pollutions, cut of power etc. Thus overcome to these
problems we have thought about device which can be
work efficiently without causing any types of problem. So
we work on the project of grass cutter machine which
performing fully automated and using renewable source
of energy that is solar power.
Current technology commonly used for cutting the grass is by the manually handled device. In this paper used novel
technology. So in this paper we are trying to make a daily purpose robot which is able to cut the grasses in Lawn.
The system will have some automation work for guidance and other obstacle detection and the power source that is
battery and a solar panel will be attached on the top of the robot because of this reduces the power problem.

In India Onion is one of the most important crop, approximately on 11.6lac ha onion is planted every year (36000 ha in Maharashtra).
One of the main reasons of low productivity is insufficient power availability in the farm and low level of farm mechanization.
Area under the onion is about 7% of total area under vegetables in the country.
About 21.4% of total expenditure for harvesting in conventional process.
Mechanization reduces unit cost of production through higher productivity.
Design and Fabrication of Weed Removing VehicleJaykumar Desai
The weed removing machine is available in the various types like reel (cylinder) mower, rotary mower, hover mower, riding mower, professional mower etc, but these are very costly and unaffordable. It requires a skilled person to operate as there are weeds and unwanted crops on the field which may consume the nutritious elements which are intended for the crop that is to be grown. The main objective of the project is to develop weed removing vehicle to clean and uproot the unwanted grass and weeds, which is powered by a single cylinder 2-stroke petrol engine (100cc) which is manually operated. So, here we have designed and fabricated a vehicle which would uproot the weeds and unwanted crops from the field completely. The weed removing vehicle is capable of uprooting the weeds and unwanted crops from small plantations (tobacco, chilly, groundnut etc,) which if not removed would deteriorate the quality as well as the quantity of the main crop. The vehicles and machines which are presently available are very costly and unaffordable. Also, the vehicles and machines that are used cause damage to the main crop since their turning radius are more. This weed removing vehicle has a set of four wheels, two front wheels with drum brakes and two rear wheels attached to a dead axle where the front wheels are powered with a single cylinder 2-stroke 100cc petrol engine with the help of constant mesh gearbox and chain drive. The blade used to uproot the weeds is adjustable. The turning radius of this vehicle is also very small as compared to the machines available in the market. Also, this vehicle can be easily operated by the unskilled person without any difficulty. The speed of the vehicle can also be controlled easily since it has a constant mesh gearbox and a supporting pair of the chain drive. This vehicle will be very useful for the farmers who cannot afford the high price of currently available vehicles. Also, the maintenance cost is low for this vehicle.
