Snyder's Lance hired SmartWatt to implement energy efficiency improvements at its 30,000 square foot food processing plant in Hyannis, Massachusetts. The $203,000 project included retro-commissioning existing HVAC equipment and controls, adding roof top units, and providing on-site training to plant associates on operating the new systems optimally. The upgrades are expected to save 151,068 kWh and 63,037 therms annually, reducing energy costs by $77,510 per year.
