The Project Manager position requires providing leadership and hands-on work to ensure construction projects are completed according to customer expectations and company quality standards. Key responsibilities include effectively managing projects and employees, maintaining strong customer relationships during construction, developing and managing project plans/schedules, monitoring financial performance, securing subcontractors, and implementing safety protocols. Qualified candidates have 5+ years of project management experience in energy efficiency projects, preferably with MEP experience, as well as skills in staff management, financial planning, communication, and computer programs like Microsoft Office. Extensive regional travel is required.

Position Overview
The Project Manager must provide leadership, guidance and handson participation to ensure all project
implementation activity is completed in adherence to customer expectations and SmartWatt quality standards.
The position must also ensure that all projects are installed in the scheduled timeframe while maintaining a high
level of focus on safety, profitability, and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Effectively manage projects and assigned employees as defined in the following categories:
Project Management.
Continually enhance customer relationships during the implementation portion of the construction
process.
Take ownership in developing and managing project plans and schedules
Act as liaison between local facility staff and our regional team members.
Monitor, control and report on financial performance of projects.
Secure subcontractor relationships
Draft subcontracts and equipment purchase agreements
Manage subcontractors and SmartWatt project execution team
Work with our Project Development staff to coordinate implementation handoffs and develop project
strategies, goals and objectives
Audit and design quality assurance/quality control procedures to mitigate project risk
Implement continuous improvement plans for our construction management process.
Staff Management
Manage, motivate and continuously improve assigned staff.
Provide immediate positive reinforcement and constructive criticism to employees when appropriate.
Develop project staffing plans to include labor, subcontractors, project managers and/or project engineers
Resolve staff scheduling issues.
Safety Management
Ensure weekly toolbox talks are completed properly by assigned workforce.
Ensure adherence to job site safety protocols.
Immediately address and correct any unsafe practices and document accordingly.
Conduct safety site inspections on job sites.
