Responsibilities
Perform onsite energy efficiency audits that are focused on mechanical system, control systems and
lighting energy efficiency opportunities.
Complete historical utility billing analysis and facility benchmarking analysis.
Conduct meetings with customers to gain an understanding of each customer’s needs and wants and
incorporate this understanding into our energy conservation measure designs.
Based off of information gained during onsite audit, recommend energyefficiency measures.
Complete Energy Conservation Measure (ECM) energy calculations, savings projections and ECM
narrative descriptions.
Responsible for Utility incentive calculations, completing incentive applications and managing the utility
incentive process though receiving incentive payment.
Copresent audit/design findings to Customer along with Project Development Staff.
Build strong relationships with equipment suppliers, mechanical contractors and control contractors.
Collaborate with construction team to ensure original design intent is adhered to throughout
implementation. Develop and implement data logging (collection) plan to capture equipment operating
times, flows, energy consumption, temperatures, etc… Utilize this information to help shape project
scope and justify measurement selection.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Energy Engineering.
Professional Engineering License or ability to obtain within one year of being hired.
Certified Energy Manager Preferred
Strong knowledge base of energy efficiency methodology.
Experience working with Utility Sponsored EnergyEfficiency Rebates.
Strong written and oral communication skills for customer interaction and report writing.
5+ years experience in a Energy or Mechanical engineering position
Job experience working on energy efficiency construction projects in commercial and industrial facilities.
Expert in developing excel based energy modeling on mechanical and electrical systems.
Computer Skills
Expert skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and familiarity with AutoCAD.
Proficiency with eQuest, TraneTrace or other energy modeling software preferred
