The AmericInn has a demanding 24-hour energy
requirement. The hotel was in need of a
replacement boiler system and wanted to reduce
energy costs an improve power reliability. All this
needed to be done without increasing, and
hopefully lowering, operating costs.
Two 19kW cogeneration, or CHP, systems were
placed in the building to provide heat, hot water,
air conditioning, and electricity to the entire facility.
As a result of installing a CHP system from
Highland West Energy, the AmericInn benefitted
