Smart fabrics are fabrics that can change or react automatically to their surroundings through the integration of electronics like sensors, microprocessors and actuators. Some examples include smart fabric heaters that heat on demand when pressure is applied, wireless fabric keyboards and wearable electronic textiles that can control devices. Smart fabrics offer benefits like being lightweight, washable and versatile but current limitations include the need for batteries and charging and high costs.
this presentation tells about smart textile and shows some of the example with the use
Smart textiles have been called e-textiles or intelligent textiles, electro active textiles, wearable electronics, and textronic depending on the approach.

Smart Fabrics are ones which can change automatically to their surrounding. Smart fabrics are being developed to be able to sense what is happening to the wearer or its immediated surroundings.
According to engineering curriculum we have to choose a topic which is currently trending in the engineerig field. So, I had prepared a ppt on the topic Smart Fabrics for my seminar. You can also refer to this ppt . I hope this ppt would be informative for you. I have also uploaded the pdf of seminar report for this topic.
In this slide i am sharing introduction to E Textile and thier application in daily life .
An e-textile is a fabric developed with electronics in it to
enable conductivity and the use of various technologies.
• Electronic textiles may be embedded with sensors, batteries
LEDs and hands-free computing devices.
• The field of electronic textiles combines the worlds of
textiles and electronics, and explores techniques that
redefine construction methods .
• They usually contain conductive yarns that are either spun
or twisted and incorporate some amount of conductive
material to enable electrical conductivity.
E-Textile Applications
There are several applications of e-textiles,
ranging from healthcare to consumer goods.
Health Monitoring :
The most well-researched application of
e-textiles is medical. Specifically, the
monitoring of health conditions.
Currently, there are medical wearables
that have been invented to monitor
several aspects of a person’s health, such
as blood pressure, heart rate, and
symptoms of disease.
Worker Safety :
Occupational safety is another area where e-textiles
can provide a great deal of service. One hypothetical
use is for construction workers who are working
outdoors late at night. LED lights can be affixed to a
uniform and automatically turn on when it gets dark
outside, improving visibility.
A favorable feature among drivers is heated seats. Who
doesn’t like being blanketed in warmth while driving?
While it is often a luxury, heated seats and steering
wheels are essential for drivers in frigid temperatures.

Smart Textile
Smart textiles are defined as textiles that can sense and react via an active control mechanism to environmental conditions or stimuli, such as mechanical, thermal, magnetic, chemical, electrical, or other sources. They are able to sense and respond to external conditions (stimuli) in a predetermined way.
The textile industry is about to take a giant step from being a supplier of fabrics to become a positive force in the development of society. Textile innovations improve people’s everyday lives and benefit the industry, the health care sector and the environment.
Smart textiles can be defined as textiles that are able to sense and respond to changes in their environment.
The integration of electronics in clothing promises a variety of new products and applications. . Whether for performance or aesthetic reasons, the focus within the textiles orb is on smart fabrics – from those that change their hue to those that regulate body temperature. Researchers are developing smart fabrics that do things that traditional fabrics cannot.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).

In this deck, you will learn the significance of workplace discipline for organisational success. You’ll also learn
• Four (4) workplace discipline methods you should consider
• The best and most practical approach to implementing workplace discipline.
• Three (3) key tips to maintain a disciplined workplace.

3. How you can capture more CRM data to understand your audience better through video testimonials. 📊
3. Smart fabric is a phenomenon that entails merging computer
components seamlessly into ordinary clothing.
manufacturers use various conductive textiles, data and
power distribution as well as sensing circuitry.
There are various techniques used to build circuits from
commercially available fabrics, yarns, fasteners and components.
Smart fabrics are fabrics that can change or react automatically
to their surroundings.
These response could be thermal, chemical, mechanical, electric,
magnetic or from other source.
Smart fabrics are being developed by scientist not only keep you
warm but also cool, dry, moisturised and free of bacteria, odour
and stains while measuring your heart rate.
These components may range from microcontrollers to sensors
and actuators.

6. Wireless Fabric Keyboard
• The Wireless Fabric Keyboard provides a 63-key QWERTY layout
and has a footprint of 306mm.
• The only control is a power on/off button.
• First we have to press quite hard on the slightly raised 'keys' to
get a result, which is signalled by an audible click.
• battery life -10 hours.
7. Wearable Electronic Textiles
Wearable electronic textiles are often controlled by soft
switches which are sewn into products using printing, coating
and embroidery.
Switches are washable and durable.
It will eventually be incorporated into interior textiles to
control lighting, appliances, TVs and stereos.
They can be used to dial telephones, pager messages and
control music from MP3 players.
9. Sun Protective Clothing
Sun protective
clothing is clothing specifically
designed for sun protection and is
produced from a fabric rated for its
level of ultraviolet (UV) protection.
This technique is often used as
swimwear for children.
some textiles and fabrics employed
in the use of sun protective clothing
may be pre-treated with UV
inhibiting ingredients during
manufacture to enhance their UV
blocking capacity.
Some hats and umbrellas,
particularly for children may also use
this technique.
10. Pressure Sensors
A pressure sensor measures pressure, typically of gases or liquids
Pressure is an expression of the force required to stop a fluid from
expanding, and is usually stated in terms of force per unit area
Pressure sensors are used for control and monitoring in thousands
of everyday applications.
Pressure sensors can also be used to indirectly measure other
variables such as fluid/gas flow, speed, water level, and altitude.
Pressure sensors can vary drastically in
technology, design, performance, application suitability and cost.
