The Sky X technology uses Sky X gateways and the XTP protocol to improve bandwidth utilization over satellite networks. The Sky X gateway intercepts TCP connections and converts data to XTP for transmission over the satellite link. It then converts data back to TCP for delivery. This architecture enhances performance without any changes to end clients or servers. Using XTP and optimizations, Sky X can increase web and file transfer speeds by 3-100 times over standard satellite internet connections. It provides a fully transparent and reliable way to access more of the available satellite bandwidth.

High-Altitude Solar Glider for Internet AccessJeffrey Funk
These slides use concepts from my (Jeff Funk) course entitled analyzing hi-tech opportunities to analyze the increasing economic feasibility of high-altitude solar glider for Internet access. The falling cost of electronics and solar cells are making these glider economically feasible when compared to traditional satellites. They have lower manufacturing and launch costs than do traditional satellites and lower installation costs than do fiber optic cable. This enables them to provide cheaper Internet access in developing countries where Internet access is still limited to cities.

Performance Evaluation of UDP, DCCP, SCTP and TFRC for Different Traffic Flow...IJECEIAES
The demand for internet applications has increased rapidly. Providing quality of service (QoS) requirements for varied internet application is a challenging task. One important factor that is significantly affected on the QoS service is the transport layer. The transport layer provides end-to-end data transmission across a network. Currently, the most common transport protocols used by internet application are TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) and UDP (User Datagram Protocol). Also, there are recent transport protocols such as DCCP (data congestion control protocol), SCTP (stream congestion transmission protocol), and TFRC (TCP-friendly rate control), which are in the standardization process of Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). In this paper, we evaluate the performance of UDP, DCCP, SCTP and TFRC protocols for different traffic flows: data transmission, video traffic, and VOIP in wired networks. The performance criteria used for this evaluation include throughput, end to end delay, and packet loss rate. Well-known network simulator NS-2 used to implement the UDP, DCCP, SCTP, and TFRC protocols performance comparison. Based on the simulation results, the performance throughput of SCTP and TFRC is better than UDP. Moreover, DCCP performance is superior SCTP and TFRC in term of end-to-end delay.
Satellite IP Trunking networks provide local networks with access to the internet (or any other type of network) from a remote access point to the backbone. Providing IP Trunking and Backbone services to ISPs and Telecom operators requires constant scrutinizing of the operational expenses due to a highly competitive market with razor- thin margins.
Communication Performance Over A Gigabit Ethernet NetworkIJERA Editor
A present computing imposes heavy demands on the optical communication network. Gigabit Ethernet technology can provide the required bandwidth to meet these demands. However, it has also involve the communication Impediment to progress from network media to TCP(Transfer control protocol) processing. In this paper, present an overview of Gigabit per second Ethernet technology and study the end-to-end Gigabit Ethernet communication bandwidth and retrieval time. Performance graphs are collected using NetPipe in this clearly show the performance characteristics of TCP/IP over Gigabit Ethernet. These indicate the impact of a number of factors such as processor speeds, network adaptors, versions of the Linux Kernel or opnet softwar and device drivers, and TCP/IP(Internet protocol) tuning on the performance of Gigabit Ethernet between two Pentium II/350 PCs. Among the important conclusions are the marked superiority of the 2.1.121 and later development kernels and 2.2.x production kernels of Linux or opnet softwar used and that the ability to increase the MTU(maximum transmission unit) Further than the Ethernet standard of 1500 could significantly enhance the throughput reachable.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

3. Introduction
Adding the Sky X system to a satellite
network allows users to take full
advantage of the available bandwidth.
The Sky X technology transparently
enhances the performance of all users
on a satellite network .
The Sky X increases web
performance by 3 times or more and
file transfer speeds by 10 to 100
times.
4. Why Sky X-Technology???
Satellites are ideal for providing internet
and private network access over long
distance and to remote locations.
However the internet protocols are not
optimized for satellite conditions and
consequently the throughput over the
satellite networks is restricted to only a
fraction of available bandwidth.
Thus We need sky x technology to over
come these restrictions and to access
maximum bandwidth.
5. Sky X- Gateway
The Sky X gateway works by intercepting the TCP connection from
the client and converting the data to the XTP for transmission over
the satellite.
The Sky X gateway on the opposite side of the satellite link
translates the data back to XRP instead of TCP for communication
with the server.
This architecture offers vastly improved performance while remaining
entirely transparent to the end user and fully compactable with the
internet infrastructure.
No changes are required to the client or server and all applications
continue to function without modification.
6. Sky X Gateway Splits
the TCP into three
Components:
1. TCP connection
Between the Client and
Sky X gateway.
2. An XTP connection
Involves Sky X protocol
over the Satellites
between the two Sky X
Gateways.
3. TCP connection between
opposite Sky X Gateway and
Server.
XTP is transport layer protocol design to operate over high speed network
and provides high level performance to the End-Users.
8. XTP Protocol
Xpress Transport Protocol (XTP) is a transport layer protocol
for high-speed networks promoted by the XTP Forum developed
to replace TCP.
XTP provides protocol options for flow control, and multicast
mode.
Instead of separate protocols for each type of communication,
XTP controls packet exchange patterns to produce different
models.
9. Applications
The Sky X gateway combines protocol, application and system level
enhancements to provide maximum throughput for satellite networks.
The Sky X Protocol utilizes a highly efficient selective retransmission
algorithm for the acknowledgment of data. Because there is only a single
path over the satellite with no intermediate routing.
Sky X products include HTTP specific optimizations to further accelerate
web downloads.
10. Merits
Increases web performance 3 times faster.
Does not require any modifications to end client and
servers.
Sky X Gateway provides fast, efficient, fully reliable
multicast file transfers.
11. Conclusion
Thus Sky -x technology is best suited for for satellite
communication using XTP protocol and Sky x gateway.
The Sky X system of a satellite network allows users to
take full advantage of the available bandwidth
It gives all features required for successful data
Transmission.
