A Report On The Green Powder
Envision a plant that can support your body by giving the vast majority of the protein you have
to live, help keep the irritating wheezing and sniffling of hypersensitivities, strengthen your safe
framework, help you control hypertension and cholesterol, and help shield you from
malignancy. Does such a super sustenance exist? Yes! And it s called spirulina! Spirulina has
quickly become one of my top favorite superfoods. After doing much research and discovering
how powerful and potent it is, I think my love for this green powder grow even larger. before I
get into the health benefits of spirulina, let me first give you a brief history of spirulina, what is is
and where it comes from. What Is Spirulina? Scientifically speaking,... Show more content on

As you can envision, this didn t occur without any forethought; there is a rich and particular
history to it. What was once just lake rubbish set aside opportunity to be acknowledged and
delighted in as sustenance. This conviction developed exponentially once the genuine medical
advantages were caught on. Presently you see this genuine superfood being looked to as a protein
source and even a method for keeping certain medical issues. Could it truly be this advantageous?
You will soon observe that the medical advantages represent themselves and that these
arrangements were gotten from the discoveries of our precursors. They realized that spirulina was
something bravo, yet they simply didn t understand how broad these discoveries would wind up
being. The historical backdrop of spirulina, as we probably am aware it today, goes back to the
fourteenth century with the Aztecs. Other ethnic gatherings living in Africa or encompassing
districts likewise found that these particular green growth served them well in their eating routine.
Much to their dismay that it was stuffed brimming with protein, yet they perceived that it was
fulfilling and satisfying and, accordingly, got to be distinctly one of the principle staples in their
eating routine. All through history from this time forward, spirulina began to pick up force in the
way that it could give fuel and support to specific societies. It was the kind of nourishment that was

President Bush And The President Of The United States
The uproar of who should be the next President of the United States came in full swing April 2014.
While the Republican Party jumped to an early start by making trips to the early voting states of
Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina, the Democratic Party lingered on the sidelines. The
Republican Party started with seventeen candidates, yet the Democratic Partyhad only three.
However, after the Iowa Caucus, one of the Democratic candidates dropped, leaving only two
candidates remaining. Those two candidates are Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. As the race
progressed sixteen of the Republican Party candidates dropped, leaving only Donald Trump. With
estimated polls, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump would be the two candidates in the 2016
presidential election. Clinton has over thirty five years of political experience, yet Trump has only
business experience, so the decision of who should run the country should be chosen carefully.
Although the Republican Party believes Donald Trump should be the next President of the United
States, the Democratic Party nominated Hillary Clinton as the best candidate because she has the
most accurate solutions for solving some of the main issues in the United States, such as gun
control, immigration, and education. Clinton and Trump have two different views on one of the
most important issues facing the U.S gun control. To argue the issue of gun control, Trump presents
the Second Amendment. Trump believes there should be no gun free

Atlas Shrugged Student Report
For proper development of bones and muscles, children need to spend at least 3 hours per day at
1.1g. To provide for the children s proper development in the space settlement, we created the
Taggart Youth Center, named after the Taggart Transcontinental Railroad from Ayn Rand s novel,
Atlas Shrugged. The Taggart Youth Center is a train like system that rotates around on the inside of
the large part of the torus. This system works like a train with the cars containing the schooling and
recreational activities and the tracks running around the inside edge of the torus. The tracks are
active magnetic bearings powered by a permanent magnet motor, a type of bearing that supports a

The students have a traditional schedule where they go to seven classes a day on Tuesdays and
Thursdays, where teachers teach through examples, models, and projects. On the remaining days
of the week, students do not have to go to class. They receive their classwork online, along with
teachers notes, resources to learn, and a place for students to talk and interact about assignments.
If students need help on these days, teachers are available in their classrooms for extra assistance
and students are welcome to come in anytime. This program teaches time management and allows
students to have more time to explore their passions. Students no longer have to spend the exact
same amount of time in an easy class as a hard class. Students decide for themselves what they
need to spend time on. For students in the 11th 12th regular program, they go to classes every day
with opportunities to have 2 unscheduled periods for extracurriculars, internships, jobs, or
volunteering. Extracurricular and volunteering opportunities, as well as part time jobs for students,
are available in the rotating area so students can still be at 1.1g for the necessary 3 hours per

Gateway Internship Program
I would like to apply for a summer internship position through the Gateway Internship Program, and
am particularly interested in the opportunities available in the fields of education and research.
I am seeking a degree in Sociology with minors in Spatial Studies and Statistics (though I will soon
be declaring an Education and Society minor) at the University of Southern California. Although
the sociology program encompasses a variety of issues within the larger field of sociology, I am
particularly interested in the sociology of education, social inequality, and public policy.
In terms of campus involvement, the founder and President of the Sociology Club, a tutor for USC
student athletes, and a squad leader in the Trojan Marching Band. Through these commitments, I
think that I have gained significant leadership skills. I am a strong communicator, as is necessary to
put plans into action and ensure the success of all members of an organization, whether it is
through helping a student athlete with an unfamiliar term, organizing events for club meetings, or
directing squad maneuvers on the field. Additionally, I have developed initiative when founding the

Who s To Blame In Romeo And Juliet
Did you know that it wasn t Romeo and Juliet s fault that they died? Romeo and Juliet by
Shakespeare is a great romantic tragedy for those who like reading Shakespeare. The Lords
Capulet and Montague are the characters most to blame for the tragic events in Romeo and Juliet
because they started the feud which killed Mercutio, Tybalt, Romeo, Juliet, Lady Montague, and
Paris, prevented Romeo and Juliet marrying, and resulted in Romeo s banishment.

The United States Progress and Henry Ford Automobile Industry
What made the United States the great and successful nation that it has grown to be? Well there are
multiple events, innovations, and ideas that were contributing factors to the growth of this country.
Making it out on top of World War One, World War Two, and beating the great depression
definitely made the nation stronger in the long run, or as the famous quote would put it; what doesn
t kill you makes you stronger. But those events aren t what this paper is about, the genius inventions
and ideas from great Americans such as Henry Fordare what really allowed the country to become
what it has. At the start of the 20th century Henry Ford sought after a way to quickly and
affordably assemble a motor vehicle that would be viable and feasible to the working middle
class of America. By constructing and designing the Ford Model T, he was able to change the way
American s commute from 1908 to present day. The production of the affordable Model T changed
the face of American travel evermore.
Tin Lizzie, T Model Ford, Model T Ford are all different nicknames for one of the most important
productions of the 20th century, the Ford Model T. Vehicular transportation is the most common
means of transportation in our society. Automobiles are everywhere today in the United States; not
just the most common, but we have evolved to make automobiles our most reliable means of
transportation. The Ford Model T changed the life of his employees for he paid them a wage to

The Philosophy Of Progressive Education
Progressive Education
Progressive Education refers to a pedagogical movement that started as a means to reform
traditional teaching methods. The approach in Progressive Education is a method of teaching that
recognises the value of self expression, flexible and informal classroom atmosphere and proper
attention for every student. It lays emphasis on learning through experience rather than memorising
facts without having clear understanding of certain concepts and literature. Progressive Education is
a result of the progressive thought of various 19th century educators who decided that there had to
be a better way of imparting knowledge and educating children. Some influential progressive
educators were John Dewey and William H. Kirkpatrick.
The primary philosophy behind Progressive Education is to build a system of education where a
test cannot be used as the single factor for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Usually, such type of teaching is characterised by a rigid classroom atmosphere wherein the teacher
stands in the front of the classroom and teaches by delivering lectures. There is minimal scope for
experiential learning and teacher student interaction. However, progressive education allows
students the flexibility and opportunity to question things, concepts and supports a method of
leaning where students are allowed to explore their capacities. It teaches them how to think about
certain things and question them, and not about what to think and passively accept as facts of life.
This type of teaching acknowledges the need for greater interest and depth of understanding.
Mistakes are considered opportunities to learn and evolve. Progressive Education rejects Normative
standards of teaching and advocates constructing understanding based on knowledge, skills and

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Dentures
Say goodbye to your ill fitted, wobbly denture by getting a fixed permanent denture.
These days, dentists use a variety of restorations to correct a patient s teeth and make his smile
look attractive and natural. Unfortunately, some of the restorative dentistry procedures can be more
complicated and take weeks and even months to complete. Since some procedures like dental
implants can be considerably expensive, not all people are lucky to have fixed their teeth.
Dentures have long been used as a cost effective replacement solution for missing teeth. But after
some time this removable dental device starts to loosen and shifts, causing discomfort while eating,
talking or laughing. Not only this, wearing removable dentures for long time can ... Show more

Dentures, which are removable artificial teeth, always need a fixative such as an adhesive paste or
wafers to be held in place.
Applying adhesives is generally not a pleasant experience as in addition to the bad taste the pasty
substance produces uncomfortable feeling in the mouth.
Also, the bond between gum and denture is not always secure and dentures often slip and move
around when you laugh, cough, or eat, causing you a great deal of discomfort and embarrassment in
social or public situations.
Your gums and jawbone that supports the dentures are gradually eroded over a period of time and
the device may not fit as well as it initially used to.
Denture looseness and slippage can lead to gum irritation and sores, prompting you to return to the
dentist for necessary adjustments.
If poorly fitting or worn dentures are not replaced in time, they can lead to mouth sores, infections
or problems with eating and speech.
When a new set of dentures is inserted in the mouth it may feel a little odd and cause increased
salivary secretions but these problems will diminish as your mouth gets adjusted to this

Renaissance Dance Pros And Cons
Dance in the Renaissance Era is an era that is very intriguing but also very amazing because we
can see where dance really started and how it has evolved over time since the Renaissance Era.
Although the Renaissance is a very interesting era to examine it is also made clear what a hard era
this was for dancebut also a great era for dance. I feel that within the Renaissancedance era there
are a lot of pros and cons as dance wasn t necessarily appreciated in this time and was seen as
something that was more dark and associated with death. As time went on this did change and
dance truly became something within this era for several different reasons. For me, I think this era
is so great because of all the different costumes, technique and... Show more content on

In the Baroque time there were quite a few dancing masters but the dancing master that stood out
to me for the time I am focusing on was John Playford (1623 1686). He published The English
Dancing Master in 1651 which provided information on 105 English country dances. (Sue,
Norma. Baroque Dancing Master and Dances. ) Through this period there were many great
dancing masters and manuals. Although this was very important in this time the technique and
movement of this era is where my real focus lies. Within this era there were 5 selected dance
steps that were always used and then put together into a sequence. The 5 steps are; demi coupe,
coupe, pas de bourree, temps de courante and the minuet step. All of these steps were then put
together and you had do them and in a faster manor which was hard because you aren t familiar
with the steps but it is a step you know but it seems harder when put into a different sequence to
different music. The steps in the Baroque time were very interesting but the movement qualities
are something that would be very hard to adjust to as this is something that has evolved and
changed over time as dance has also got more difficult over time. The movement qualities of
include low legs, vertical movements, weight primarily on the ball of one foot, relaxed toes, 90
degree turnout and fluttering embroideries of arms and legs. (Sue, Norma. Baroque Dancing
Master and Dances. ) From this we can see how the movement qualities are very different from
what we do now as the toes would very be relaxed because we now practice a full pointe at all
times and we also now practice 180 degree turnout and you don t even really see 90 degree turnout
anymore as everyone strives to have that perfect turnout. Although these movement qualities have
changed it is quite

Ideally, CSR policy would function as a built in, self regulating mechanism whereby business would
monitor and ensure its support to law, ethical standards, and international norms. Consequently,
business would embrace responsibility for the impact of its activities on the environment,
consumers, employees, communities, stakeholders and all other members of the public sphere.
Furthermore, CSR focused businesses would proactively promote the public interest by
encouraging community growth and development, and voluntarily eliminating practices that harm
the public sphere, regardless of legality. Essentially, CSR is the deliberate inclusion of public
interest into corporate decision making, and the honoring of a triple bottom line: people, planet,
profit.
Stakeholders are taking an increasing interest in the activity of the company. Most look to the
outer circle, that is, what the company has actually done, good or bad, in terms of its products and
services, in terms of its impact on the environment and on local communities, or in how it treats
and develops its workforce. Out of the various stakeholders, it is financial analysts who are
predominantly focused as well as past financial performance on quality of management as an
indicator of likely future performance. Developed countries have worked out a way around
ensuring that local and international businesses or companies make

Florida Aquifer System
Next we will discuss the Florida Aquifer System. There are many factors that contribute to the
storage and movement of ground water, porosity and permeability are the two most important
elements to this equation (Lutgens, 2012.) Porosity is the volume of open space between rock or
sediment and permeability is the ability for a fluid to pass through (Lutgens, 2012.) Rock and
sediments that allow groundwaterto travel freely are called aquifers. These aquifers are natural
resources that exist underneath the earths surface to store water. In the case of Florida s aquifer
system the system is considered to be one of the most productive in the world (USGS, n.d.) In its
entirety, the aquifer system underlies an area of about 100,000 square miles

Summary Of Harm De Blij s Why Geography Matters
Harm de Blij s book, Why Geography Matters poses a central theme, which I have heard discussed
multiple times. Blij argues that the American public is the most geographically illiterate society in
the world. Blij blames this decline with the poorly formulated curricula in the American school
systems, which ultimately originates from Washington D.C. and the people that run this country. If
I had never seen this central theme in action in a classroom I would have been dumbfounded. In
one short paragraph Blij summarized how America s illiteracy began, which this then becomes the
central theme of his book that relates to the educational field. Blij writes that professional educators
took control of the system and combined the subjects of history,... Show more content on

As every day passes China grows stronger in every aspect and eventually they will be knocking
on America s doorstep in each of those categories. Economically, China is closing rapidly, but
even the sleeping giant as Napoleon Bonaparte called it, has its limits. To be blunt, China is
resource hungry and who knows what their country will do next. With the level of nationalism
that their people have, China could go in multiple directions. For example, let us look at both
China attempting to exert control over the South China Sea and also with the Senkaku Islands.
Both of these areas are becoming more and more hostile, which ultimately could lead to deadly
military engagements. With that being said, Blij also proposes an argument that I have been
pondering for a while and that is a potential cold war between the U.S.A. and China. On the
outside it seems as if there is a potential collision course to that conclusion. However, Blij does
offer an interesting solution to this possibility and it is one that I believe should be the strongest
takeaway. Blij suggests that trade, scientific, cultural and educational links and exchanges can be
the solution to this issue. After all, China is responsible for many of the essential aspects to our
life. Therefore, the least we as Americans can do is learn the various geographical aspects that

Edgar Allan Poe, Jr.
Edgar Allan Poe was born on January 19, 1809 to Elizabeth Allan Poe and David Poe, Jr., a

Analyzing The Statement Of Cash Flows The Cash Flow Statement
The use and purpose of the Statement of Cash Flows
The cash flow statement identify the
sources of cash flowing into the business and shows how they have been used over a period.
Companies or users need to read this statement in conjunction with trading and profit and loss
accounting and balance sheet and also in the context of the statement in the previous year. (Cox,
2004) This statement provides a useful tool for analysing management decisions and strategy. It
can reveal such things as the amount of liquid funds generated from operating activities; the ways
in which financing occurred and investment activities during a period. This information can help
companies or users to assess whether liquid funds generated are sufficient and whether they have
been raised and applied in an appropriate way. The importance of liquidity to a business is
difficult to overstate. It is not allow a profitable business to be forced to crease trading because it
does not have enough liquid funds to meet its maturing liabilities. (Atrill et al, 2001) The objective
of International Accounting Standard 7 is require the provision of information about the historical
changes in cash and cash equivalents of an entity by means of a statement of cash flows which
classifies cash flows during the period from operating, investing and financing activities. The
standard aim to give the financial statements of the companies with a basis for assessing the ability
of the entity to generate cash and cash

The Impact of Soil Erosion and Land Degradation in Ethiopia
Introduction
African soils are extremely poor by nature, they consist of low organic matter as well as all major
nutrients. Sub Saharan Africa does not produce enough food to support their countries even in
years of good harvest. Land degradation is exhibited as deforestation, decreasing biodiversity
resources, soil moisture stress as well as soil erosion.
The following report will be assessing the socio economic as well as the environmental impacts of
soil erosion and land degradation impacts in the Ethopian Highlands of Tigray. The severe land
degradation is a result of the soil erosion as well as the nutrient depletion. Throughout the past years
soil and water conservation techniques have been comprehensively introduced. The prolonged use
of these resources was not as anticipated.
The poor performance of agriculture in many low income countries is due to the deterioration of
the natural resource base. The major problem which limiting the development of the agricultural
sector is the land degradation which is caused by soil erosion as well as nutrient depletion. This is
an enormously serious problem especially in the tropical steep lands where rain fed agriculture
comprises the major livelihoods of the people. A number of these countries have numerous soil and
water conservation programs which have tried to mitigate the land degradation problem but have
done so unsuccessfully.
In Ethiopia agriculture comprises the biggest share of the national economy; it contributes

Essay on New London Eminent Domain
Justice Stevens believes that is it the right of the government for taking land from private owners
under eminent domain and using that land for public use. Steven believes that eminent domain is
constitutional as long as the public welfare is increased such as increasing tax and other revenues
and stimulating a troubled city. New London was an economically insufficient city compared to the
averages in Connecticut. He believed that making the city more attractive was making good use of
the Takings Clause in the U.S. Constitution. He also thinks that the city carefully constructed a plan
in order to benefit the community rather than hinder it. Overall, Stevens believes that by helping

The authors of these majority and minority opinions are quite different. Steven believes that making
a city more attractive and profitable is worth using eminent domain while O Connor believes that it
makes every home and business be put in jeopardy for an unnecessary use of overused power.
Although both agree that in some instances eminent domain is appropriate, they disagree on this
particular case of the New London community. Before I began to read this case I made my own
assumptions about eminent domain. Although I believe that it is not alright for eminent
domain to be applied to all cases, I do believe that eminent domain is necessary in this case. The
city was very apparently deteriorating and it is part of the cities job to make the community
appealing again. Like it was stated, the population has not been as low as 24,000 residents since
1920. That was over 50 years ago. I may not always agree with using eminent domain in all
instances but to make a city more profitable and more appealing to residents seems to me like a
good use of property. Just compensation is something I may have a problem with. From what I
have heard, the government does not always give the

however, Munch tries to use the pattern as part of his prints. Because the pattern add more

Akkadian Culture
The Akkadian Culture
The Akkadians were the people of the dominate culture that succeeded the Sumerians the first
dominant Mesopotamian culture. The period of Akkadian centralized governance took place
from 2350 2150 B.C.E and for this period the Akkadians resided in Akkad, the city from which
they were named. Akkad was the Akkadian capital city that was chosen by the first Akkadian
King, King Sargon. King Sargon reigned from 2334 2279 B.C.E and he was seen as the greatest
leader in the Akkadian Dynasty. Sargon is regarded in this manner because he was the first king in

Although they altered the language used they continued to use Sumerian cuneiform, for record

beliefs changed minimally from the Sumerian s belief system. The Sumerian gods An, Enlil, Enki,
continued into Akkadian religion but, there was a name change An became Anu; Enlil became Bel;
and Enki became Ea. The Akkadians also put a great emphasis on the god Shamash who was the
sun god, he was a very important god as their agriculture lifestyles depended on him. Apart from
these things the Akkadians were very similar to the Sumerians. Before Sargon was a king he was
first a cup bearer King Ur Zababa of Kish at a time when Kish was a significant city. Sargon
usurped the king s power and assumed for himself the title as king; Sargon s name means the

The French Revolution And The Revolution Of The Bastille
In 1789, an event would take place that would shake a nation. This event further altered the country
of France s history and drastically changed its future. This event was known as the Storming of the
Bastille, the first violent instance to instigate the French Revolution and the formation of a rebel
alliance to overthrow French monarchy. However the motives of the renegades is far and wide.
The question must be asked; What were the major reasons for the French Revolution? Many
elements of France s infrastructure were created to suppress the qualms of the people. However, the
major influences that caused the French Revolution were the new ideas of the enlightened thinkers,
powerlessness of the Third Estate, and famine crises. Without these factors within French society, a
governmental collapse may not have occurred. Firstly, the French Revolution came directly after
the American Revolution. On the foundations of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, as
Thomas Jefferson said on an adaptation of John Locke s famous quote, America was founded with
new values unlike any other country at the time. Many of these values were inspired by enlightened
thinkers and philosophers from Europe, including France. In fact, it can be argued that the
Declaration of Independence was just a mouthpiece of Baron de Montesquieu and John Locke s
concepts. Lord Acton, an English historian claims that the spark that changed thought [of the
French people] into action was supplied by the

Criminal Cases Should Be Treated As The Last Defense...
Criminal cases should be treated as the last defense against good and evil. When the media
reports on a case from the courtroom, everyone is on their best television behavior, no one wants
to look bad on TV, after all, that could affect their book tour. High profile cases have become a
joke. It is so important that people understand that our justice system is in jeopardy, cases cannot
be resolved in the media. People cannot continue to be found guilty or innocent by the press. The
media chooses a side and exploits their opinion. If the news mediadoes not like the facts, they tend
to add their twist to a story. If a person is responsible for their actions in the media the media
should be held to that standard as well; it is their job to tell a story and present the truth. The
justice system what set in place so that people could all be seen as innocent until it is proven in a
court of law that they are guilty or not. The law makes enough mistakes; the addition of media
judgment only serves to add confusion to an already inundated criminal justicesystem.
The media is like a mirror to law enforcement; they can point out the flaws in law enforcement
and the justice system. However, since the news media stands behind the glass holding the mirror,
they are not able to see their flaws. There is a proper way to allow the media and the criminal
justice system to work together and build on each other s strength without paralyzing people s
rights. There have been so many problems

Public Schools Vs Charter Schools
My research topic is on the Charter Schools within the Greater Cleveland, OH area. This topic
interests me because I am a mother of three school aged children. If any of my kids attended a
failing school I would like to have an alternative to choose from. I have seen some of my friends
choose to send their kids to a Charter school. Most of them had great experiences. Some of my
friends loved the smaller class sizes and the individualized educational plans. Two of my friends
felt that the schools were too strict and they were opposed to the required uniforms. By doing
research, we can find out what schooling option is most beneficial for a student attending schoolin

Charter schools have faced some local opposition from the public school system. School districts
and teachers unions have opposed charter schools, arguing that they hurt district schools by
siphoning off motivated, high achieving students (Chilcote, 2011). While some view the new
school option as a tool in educational reform, others see it as divisive.
According to Timothy Magaw, the acceptance of charter schools has been mixed. He notes that
the effort to bring in charter schools was headed by Mayor Frank Jackson as an attempt to correct
a failing school system. By uniting charter schools with public schools, there are also extra levy
dollars to be gained. The collaboration was put in place to hopefully, massage those mid performing
facilities into high performing schools. Opportunities for collaboration might include, for instance,
shared enrollment systems or joint professional development for faculty (Magaw,

Essay on Comparison of Animal Rights Texts
Comparison of Animal Rights Texts
I am going to compare two pieces of text called: It s a crying shame and Sorry, but I think dying
people are more important than dumb animals, by an Animal Rights Group and Polly Toynbee
respectively. The first article is intended to appeal to a younger audience who think that killing
animals is wrong because they are cute etc. The second extract is aimed at adults who are interested
in the welfare of human beings. The Animal Aid leaflet is persuasive as it is trying to pledge
donations to stop animal experiments. The newspaper article is informative and persuasive by

I find this rather effective and it would catch my eye if I glanced at the article and draw my
attention towards reading it.
On the Animal Rights Leaflet there is a main image of a dog on the front, which I think appears
to be crying. This looks the part and the dog really does look sad. This attracts attention as if the
dog was crying for help. The use of colour is used well as the picture of the dog is a golden
brown shade, which is very attractive I would say. People will instantly want to read this leaflet
because of the expression on the dog s face. On the back of the leaflet there is picture of a mouse
with some sort of growth coming off its side, I suspect that this is a tumour of some sorts.
Personally I don t find this disturbing but a vast majority of the public will do and will never
want that to happen again so they will want to pledge money to help stop animal
experimentation. There is another picture of a monkey of some sorts and it appears to be very
sad as if it has been tortured etc. I think the choice of pictures on this leaflet is rather good and will
help put the point across to the reader.
The newspaper articles picture is very plain and boring. It is just a

TREATING INFORMATION PRIVACY DEFICIENCIES IN CYBERSPACE
Introduction
Scholars are divided on the fundamental question of the Federal Trade Commission s (FTC)
adjudicative capacity under the FTC Act. The FTC uses a reasonableness standard and considers
each company s data security practices on a case by case basis. For more than a decade, the FTC
s enforcement of data security actions invoked under В§5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act
(FTC Act) resulted in consent decrees and settlements, subsequently scrutinized by practitioners as
carrying as much precedential value as judicial opinions.
In 2015, the Third Circuit Court Appeals decision in Wyndham reinforced the FTC s authority to
pursue enforcement actions against companies that do not have reasonable data security practices.
Notwithstanding a motion to dismiss arguing that, inter alia, (1) the FTC lacks authority to
regulate under В§5 of the FTC Act and (2) the FTC failed to provide fair notice and of what
constitutes reasonable data security standards and (3) В§5 does not govern the security of payment
card data; Wyndham marked the first time federal courts held that the FTC has authority under В§5
of the FTC Act to enforce data security practices.
Equipped with Wyndham, the FTC s guidelines in providing information about what acts
constitutes unfair or deceptive practices carry more precedential force than ever before. Essentially,
the Circuit Court of Appeals holding in Wyndham affirms the FTC s discretion to

Thomas cannot remain loyal to his friends or even his own family who is closer than his friends.
This shows that he would rather go with the crowd than rather trying to be an individual like Peter.
In addition, at the end of the Movie Thomas beats up Peter because he was dancing as a Swing
Kid. If Thomas was a true friend he would have just told him to leave and nothing would have
happened but he just had to fight him. Thomas joined the HJ because of Peter but Thomas and
Peter thought two different ways and they each went there separate ways also. As soon as Thomas
joined the HJ s his look on everything changed dramatically but Peters look did not change it just
made them grow farther apart.
Aarvid is a person who speaks his mind and always tries to persuade people to think what he

understand why they were in it. He should have listened to Peter when he told Aarvid that he had to

right. Aarvid should have stood up to the government and told them exactly what he thought.

Advantages Of Commuting
Many people must or choose to commute to school on a weekly basis for a variety of reasons.
Before the school year begins, students must make the choice of whether or not they want to live
on campus or commute. Commuting does not necessarily have to do with going to school, but
commuting is commonly seen for going to school or work. I had to decide whether or not to
commute before my Fall semester started, and picking was a tough choice because I live quite far
from the college campus; however, I chose to commute for various reasons and it was the right
decision. People who commute far distances, usually complain about the annoyances that come
with commuting, and some of these people will choose to move closer even though they were
originally at driving distance; however, most people who commute chose to continue commuting
for as long as possible anyways. Dorming and living on campus is much more convenient, but
commuting to college, if possible, is much better since commuting is cheaper, anyone can do it,
family reasons, and of course much more comfortable. Commuting may be tough in the morning
since a commuter must wake up, and begin traveling early, but at the end of the year a commuter
would save much more money. Most people choose to commute because of money and Free
housing, food and laundry. Living at home means you save a lot of money, which can help you
down the line when you want to move out on your own (Callahan, Confessions of a College
Commuter.). Callahan

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy ( Rebt )
Abstract
A literature review on rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT). A discussion of the REBT
founder Albert Ellis and the concepts that influenced the formation of REBT. Also, an in depth
description of the concepts and theories behind REBT as well as examples of the types of
therapies that are commonly used in REBT. Next, an explanation of some of the changes that have
occurred during the history of REBT and a call for some future developments. Finally, some
criticisms of REBT are debated.
Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy: Past, Present, and Future Rational emotive behavior therapy
(REBT) was first developed by Albert Ellis in 1955 (Dryden, David, Ellis, 2009). Albert Ellis was
influenced by the teachings of many different stoic philosophers, including Epictetus, which taught
that humans are not disturbed by the actual things that happen to them but by their perception of
those things (Dryden et al., 2009). Hence, Ellis termed this therapy rational psychotherapy in order
to emphasize the cognitive aspect of his therapy and to differentiate it from other psychoanalytic
therapies (Dryden et al., 2009). However, he had to change the name of his therapy to rational
emotive therapy in 1961 due to critics accusations of the therapy ignoring clients emotions, and
then again in 1993 to rational emotive behavior therapy in order to emphasize the behavior aspect
of therapy (Dryden et al., 2009). Another influence to Ellis was Alfred Alder; Alder s belief that an

The Use Of Strange Places In slade House And Jordan...
Title: The Use of Strange Places in David Mitchell s Slade House and Jordan Peele s Get Out
Published in 2015, Slade House is a horror mystery written by David Mitchell. While their
storylines are quite different, the book has many similar fear inducing tactics used in Jordan
Peele s Get Out. The methods used in these two stories are what University of York professor,
John Bowen would classify as gothic motifs. These motifs break down into groups he has labeled
as clashing time periods , power and constraint , terror versus horror , a world of doubt , and
strange places (Bowen). In particular, professor Bowen describes strange places in gothic fiction as
somewhere other, different, and, mysterious (Bowen). He also claims that they are, often
threatening or violent, sometimes sexually enticing, and, often a prison (Bowen). The novel, Slade
House and the film, Get Out are both considered Gothic text because they contain the crucial
aspects of the strange places motif.
The places in Slade House are strange because they lack consistency. The author, David Mitchell,
first introduces the motif immediately when Nathan Bishop and his mother Rita, arrive in Slade
Alley. Nathan himself describes the alley as somewhere a tramp might live in a cardboard box
(Mitchell 6). Slade House itself is a strange place because it is an expansive plot of land located in a
small alley way. It is not possible that such a place could fit where it is and each of the four

The speech patterns of Coriolanus reveal the title character s psychological turmoil. Churning with
self doubt about his determination, his relationship with those around him, and his relationship with
his mother, Coriolanus is a man at the mercy of his environment. The environment that shapes
Coriolanus is the instruction he receives from his mother Volumnia.1 In his relationship with his
mother, Coriolanus plays the weak and subservient role. Volumnia s treatment of Coriolanus during

Volumnia, unlike the other women in the play such as Virgilia, does not recoil from war and the
battlefield. Instead, Volumnia both identifies with the war heroand delights in both his triumphs
and his pain. In describing the pride she would gain from her sons deaths in battle, Volumnia
separates herself from the other women in the play who want nothing to do with war, I had
rather eleven die nobly for their country than one voluptuously surfeit out of action. (1.3.20 21).
Thus the pride that Coriolanus derives from his own wounds and wounded body is a product of
his mother s pride in having a wounded son. Volumnia describes with pride Coriolanus s bloody
brow, Though you were born in Rome! His bloody brow/ with his mailed hand then wiping
(1.3.31 32). The pride that Volumnia procures from her son s victories and injuries winds up
reflecting itself on Coriolanus who describes these victories and wounds with equal pride. By the
end of the first act, Volumnia s descriptions of mothering demonstrate the warlike spirit she has
channeled into her raising of Coriolanus. The imagery she uses in Act 1 Scene 3 also separates her
from the other women in the play. Volumnia speaks of blood, swords, and death, while women like
Virgilia speak of sewing and butterflies.
Volumnia s speech patterns put her in the commanding position in her relationship with Coriolanus.

Since husbands were away, the mothers became the heads of the family. Despite earning less than
their male counterparts, women tended to invest their money in the needs of the household, rather
than spending money for their own use. Without the male presence in the home, the families tended

better work, the women were forced to join the workforce. Families assimilated to the lack of
presence of women at home, generating creative strategies to continue on. 70% of households
bought less food, clothing, shoes, etc. and spent less on transportation and food than prior to the
economic crisis. There was a dramatic increase of women aged twenty to twenty four in the
workforce, rising by ten percent since prior to the crisis. However, some social customs still
remained. While the men still in charge of families were able to eat the more expensive foods such
as meat and eggs, female heads of the family ate less hearty, unhealthy food, which mainly consisted

Motorcycle breakdowns are less likely to happen compared to car breakdowns, however, they can
happen, and usually, you will encounter problems with your motorbike while you are riding it.

The Threat Of The Terror Group Isis
In December of 2011, the United States withdrew all remaining combat troops from Iraq. After
eight years of war, the United States turned the responsibility for the defense of Iraq over to the
Iraqi security forces. Iraq immediately saw the rise of sectarian violence among Sunnis and Shia.
This nation also saw the reemergence of the insurgency known as Al Qaeda in Iraqin the northwest
portion of the country. The problems in Iraq grew with the igniting of a civil war in the
neighboring nation of Syria. This civil war allowed for members of Al Qaeda in Iraq to spread to
and develop in an unstable area and emerging as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, ISIS. Within
twelve months, ISIS grew by creating of an organizational structure, engaging in violent military
campaigns, developing an economy and establishing successful recruitment techniques. ISIS now
controls large swaths of territory in both northwest Iraq and Eastern Syria. Political leadership in
the United Statesis now debating what action should be taken to combat the terror group ISIS. To
prevent ISIS from harming our national security, to stop the threat of international terrorism and to
stop the destruction of Iraq and its people The United States should send ground troops to Iraq to
combat ISIS.
Many people do not think the government should send troops to Iraq to stop the threat of ISIS
becoming a national threat to the United States. The Obama administration has focused on
bombing ISIS and training

Sleeping Bag Myths
Did you know that if you sleep naked in a sleeping bag you ll have a warmer night than when
you sleep in clothes? Crisps! Just Kidding! Thats just the craziest backpacking sleeping bag
myth any idiot can believe. Have you ever tried to find a logical explanation behind some of
these myths? Its incredibly hard to believe how some of them even hold on. This are just the
craziest: 1. Women need a sleeping bag which is 5 degrees Celsius warmer than men. This is just
obviously wrong. The type of a sleeping bag that a person requires will depend on a number of
factors not just one. For instance, an experienced mountaineer or forest walker will be more
comfortable in a sleeping bag than a complete novice of whether they are male or female. Age

The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz
In The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the author L. Frank Baum uses colors to represent emotions and
characteristics of the characters and settings in the story. Baum s use of colors not only brought
the characters to life, but also allowed the reader to understand their points of view and motivation
in every scenario. Even children at young ages can comprehend the deep meaning of colors.
Infants learn basic color interpretation such as red objects represent anger while white characters
symbolize good. Baum uses colors to a greater extent when he takes his protagonist Dorothy
through the magical land of Oz. Colors in this novel play a crucial part in separating Dorothy s
home life in Kansas from her adventure through Oz. L. Frank Baum s use of colors in The
Wonderful Wizard of Ozsymbolize maturity, loyalty and protection within the characters of the
novel. To begin this tale, L. Frank Baum opens with Dorothy in her hometown Kansas. Dorothy
s time in Kansas is surrounded by the color gray. The unemotional color gray symbolizes
subdued, boring and drab (empower yourself with color psychology). In the novel, Dorothy is an
excited child who wants to play and express her creativity. A setting such as Kansas is not the
place for her. In Kansas, everything is subdued because most of the population is older and more
mature than Dorothy is. This brings a feeling of boredom to Dorothy because relative to her, the
rest of the town is very drab or lacking in spirit. Baum brilliantly set an

Argumentative Essay On National Parks
At one point in life, every American should be able to visit and enjoy the picturesque scenery of
the numerous national parks. Doing so relaxes the mind and body while also creating a sense of
tranquility as the person soaks in the sun savoring the wonderful works of nature. Imagine not
being able to experience that. According to Linda Bilmes and John Loomis Americans Think
National Parks are Worth Way More than What We Spend on Them , national parks are America s
best idea (Bilmes and Loomis). In this day and age, people prefer the pleasure of technology as
opposed to the luxury of the great outdoors. This is a problem that previous generations never
encountered and there must be a solution. Luckily, the National Park Service(NPS) has various
programs that can inspire this generations enthusiasm. The NPS has made several strategically
smart efforts to engage the youth in the national parks and it has helped to widen the demographics
of park goers.
The primary problem with national parks is that there is a scarce number of attendants from the
younger age group. It s vital that the younger generation takes an interest because the future

people of color who visited the country s scenic wonders (Egan and Egan). The rates of minorities

The Between Eastern And Western Medicine
From the dawn of time healing has been influenced by many different issues, such as religion,
politics of the time, different philosophies, and vested interest such as money. There had been
conflicts between Eastern and Western medicine for a long time. Eastern medicine is viewed by
many people in the West as having no validity and makes little sense to those who view the body in
parts and pieces. Eastern medicinehas long viewed the body as mind, body and spirit as one entity.
To understand the ideas of each Eastern and Western medicine its history has to be taken into
consideration
Hippocrates, a physician of Greece believed in scientific reasoning and the power of natural healing
his belief continued until the 19th century (2300 years). During the second century Galan, another
Greek physician was the first to promote the key to healing and soon every health problem were fit
into a classification (as it is today). His ways were strict and only doctors had access to the healing
knowledge. During the dark ages natural healing was embraced once more. The Arabs brought
alchemy and pharmacy into Western medicine. They introduced new ointments elixirs, pills,
suppositories, carcinogenics, and inhalations to the masses in the 12th century herbal pharmacies
were common in every neighborhood. In the 16th century Paracelsus taught that alchemy and
chemistry were a way to unlock the secrets of nature. Both the alchemist of his day, and the
chemists of our day, adhere to the beliefs

Compare And Contrast A Tale Of Two Schools
From the 1860s forward, much focus was in the country was on people and their inherit rights
under the United States constitution. However, even with all men being equal under the law in
the 1940s, many were still segregated and racism was and still is very much alive. School
districts had separate schools for whites and blacks and some systems even had separate schools
for Mexican Americans. Mendez v. Westminster was the first case in 1947 that overruled the
segregation of schools due to raceand language in the Westminster, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, and
El Modena school districts of Orange County. This case was a major positive stride in the
desegregation in America at the time. During the case, segregation was proven to be against the 14th

Things were said that were very traumatic to the Mendez and other families defending the honor
of 5,000 Chicano students. The biggest argument from the lead prosecutor, Ogle during the trial
was the Mexican schools gave special instruction to students who didn t speak English and who
were unfamiliar with American values and customs. Such Americanization programs benefited
both Anglos and Mexicans ( A Tale of Two Schools ). Kent, the superintendent for the district,
stated that ...thinking in Spanish, they cannot compete with the other students and advance in the
same grade at the same age (Strum, 2014). During testimony it was also stated that Mexicans
were like pigs who should be kept in pig pens and that they carried lice and many other diseases
because they are so filthy. ( A Tale of Two Schools ). Kent also stated that Mexican s grow faster
physically, but that their brains were a year retarded and therefore segregation was completely
legitimate (Strum, 2014). However, Sylvia and her two brothers took the stand during the trial and
both spoke fluent English and presented themselves very well, basically destroying Ogle and Kent s
argument by sitting on the stand alone. Their testimony proved that they spoke well enough
English to be in a non segregated school and that they weren t filthy creatures as Ken purposed. The
children s and many other s testimony brought to light that their English skills were

Does such a super sustenance exist? Yes! And it s called spirulina! Spirulina has quickly become one of my top favorite superfoods. What was once just lake rubbish set aside opportunity to be acknowledged and delighted in as sustenance. This conviction developed exponentially once the genuine medical advantages were caught on. Presently you see this genuine superfood being looked to as a protein source and even a method for keeping certain medical issues. Could it truly be this advantageous? You will soon observe that the medical advantages represent themselves and that these arrangements were gotten from the discoveries of our precursors. They realized that spirulina was something bravo, yet they simply didn t understand how broad these discoveries would wind up being. The historical backdrop of spirulina, as we probably am aware it today, goes back to the fourteenth century with the Aztecs. Other ethnic gatherings living in Africa or encompassing districts likewise found that these particular green growth served them well in their eating routine. Much to their dismay that it was stuffed brimming with protein, yet they perceived that it was fulfilling and satisfying and, accordingly, got to be distinctly one of the principle staples in their eating routine. While the Republican Party jumped to an early start by making trips to the early voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina, the Democratic Party lingered on the sidelines. The Republican Party started with seventeen candidates, yet the Democratic Partyhad only three. However, after the Iowa Caucus, one of the Democratic candidates dropped, leaving only two candidates remaining. Those two candidates are Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. As the race progressed sixteen of the Republican Party candidates dropped, leaving only Donald Trump. With estimated polls, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump would be the two candidates in the 2016 presidential election. Clinton has over thirty five years of political experience, yet Trump has only business experience, so the decision of who should run the country should be chosen carefully. Although the Republican Party believes Donald Trump should be the next President of the United States, the Democratic Party nominated Hillary Clinton as the best candidate because she has the most accurate solutions for solving some of the main issues in the United States, such as gun control, immigration, and education. Progressive Education is a result of the progressive thought of various 19th century educators who decided that there had to be a better way of imparting knowledge and educating children. These days, dentists use a variety of restorations to correct a patient s teeth and make his smile look attractive and natural. Although this was very important in this time the technique and movement of this era is where my real focus lies. Within this era there were 5 selected dance steps that were always used and then put together into a sequence. The movement qualities of include low legs, vertical movements, weight primarily on the ball of one foot, relaxed toes, 90 degree turnout and fluttering embroideries of arms and legs. (Sue, Norma. Baroque Dancing Master and Dances. ) From this we can see how the movement qualities are very different from what we do now as the toes would very be relaxed because we now practice a full pointe at all times and we also now practice 180 degree turnout and you don t even really see 90 degree turnout anymore as everyone strives to have that perfect turnout. The law makes enough mistakes; the addition of media judgment only serves to add confusion to an already inundated criminal justicesystem. The media is like a mirror to law enforcement; they can point out the flaws in law enforcement and the justice system. However, since the news media stands behind the glass holding the mirror, they are not able to see their flaws. School districts and teachers unions have opposed charter schools, arguing that they hurt district schools by siphoning off motivated, high achieving students (Chilcote, 2011). This attracts attention as if the dog was crying for help. The use of colour is used well as the picture of the dog is a golden brown shade, which is very attractive I would say. TREATING INFORMATION PRIVACY DEFICIENCIES IN CYBERSPACE Introduction Scholars are divided on the fundamental question of the Federal Trade Commission s (FTC) adjudicative capacity under the FTC Act. The FTC uses a reasonableness standard and considers each company s data security practices on a case by case basis. For more than a decade, the FTC s enforcement of data security actions invoked under В§5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act (FTC Act) resulted in consent decrees and settlements, subsequently scrutinized by practitioners as carrying as much precedential value as judicial opinions. In 2015, the Third Circuit Court Appeals decision in Wyndham reinforced the FTC s authority to pursue enforcement actions against companies that do not have reasonable data security practices. Notwithstanding a motion to dismiss arguing that, inter alia, (1) the FTC lacks authority to regulate under В§5 of the FTC Act and (2) the FTC failed to provide fair notice and of what constitutes reasonable data security standards and (3) В§5 does not govern the security of payment card data; Wyndham marked the first time federal courts held that the FTC has authority under В§5 of the FTC Act to enforce data security practices. Equipped with Wyndham, the FTC s guidelines in providing information about what acts constitutes unfair or deceptive practices carry more precedential force than ever before. I had to decide whether or not to commute before my Fall semester started, and picking was a tough choice because I live quite far from the college campus; however, I chose to commute for various reasons and it was the right decision. Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy: Past, Present, and Future Rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) was first developed by Albert Ellis in 1955 (Dryden, David, Ellis, 2009). Albert Ellis was influenced by the teachings of many different stoic philosophers, including Epictetus, which taught that humans are not disturbed by the actual things that happen to them but by their perception of those things (Dryden et al., 2009). Hence, Ellis termed this therapy rational psychotherapy in order to emphasize the cognitive aspect of his therapy and to differentiate it from other psychoanalytic therapies (Dryden et al., 2009). However, he had to change the name of his therapy to rational emotive therapy in 1961 due to critics accusations of the therapy ignoring clients emotions, and then again in 1993 to rational emotive behavior therapy in order to emphasize the behavior aspect of therapy (Dryden et al., 2009). Title: The Use of Strange Places in David Mitchell s Slade House and Jordan Peele s Get Out Published in 2015, Slade House is a horror mystery written by David Mitchell. While their storylines are quite different, the book has many similar fear inducing tactics used in Jordan Peele s Get Out. The methods used in these two stories are what University of York professor, John Bowen would classify as gothic motifs. These motifs break down into groups he has labeled as clashing time periods , power and constraint , terror versus horror , a world of doubt , and strange places (Bowen). In particular, professor Bowen describes strange places in gothic fiction as somewhere other, different, and, mysterious (Bowen). He also claims that they are, often threatening or violent, sometimes sexually enticing, and, often a prison (Bowen). The novel, Slade House and the film, Get Out are both considered Gothic text because they contain the crucial aspects of the strange places motif. The places in Slade House are strange because they lack consistency. The author, David Mitchell, first introduces the motif immediately when Nathan Bishop and his mother Rita, arrive in Slade Alley. Nathan himself describes the alley as somewhere a tramp might live in a cardboard box (Mitchell 6). Slade House itself is a strange place because it is an expansive plot of land located in a small alley way.
