Career Essay On Sports Management
Career Essay
Sport Management
For the longest time I could not decide on a major and a career to study throughout college. When I
came to Georgia Southern University I discovered that they had a major that was very interesting to
me. Sport Management id the ideal major for my interest and me. Since I love sports I figured that this
would be the career for me. A degree in Sport Management helps to prepare for success in sport
related occupations.
The job market varies in the field of sport management. Some occupational opportunities include:
athletic trainer, coach, sports official, Sports agent, camp director, sporting goods sales/dealer, pro
scout, athletic director, sport promoter. The list can go on of the opportunities in ... Show more content

Depending on what occupation you decide to pursue the work and conditions will differ. Some typical
activities are, plan and direct athletic events, represent professional athletes, plan and direct the
training of the team players, evaluate skills and potential of players, or work extensively with players,
coaches, officials, managers etc. The work condition can vary with different jobs or tasks. A scout will
be called on to travel about 3/4 of the time. Athletic directors handle the athletics of their prospective
schools along with coaches. A sports agent working conditions can involve a lot of long hours and
extended pressure. Some employment settings are colleges/universities, camps, sporting goods stores,
management firms, professional teams, fitness centers and the media. The job outlook for most careers
in Sport Management is fair to good. Sport Management is one of the fastest growing fields of study
in the country. With that there will lots of job openings and new businesses starting. Some jobs in this
field are limited. For instance, anything dealing with professional teams is limited due to the number
of sports teams. Successes in the teams help with salary and benefits for the employees. Most jobs in
the sport management field are setup to where an employee must work his or her way up the ladder.
For example, the job may ask the employee to assist in work and the salaries are not as high. In some
jobs such as being a general manager of

The Development Of Drug Addiction Essay
Undoubtedly, a huge role in the women abuses plays by the biological characteristics of the
development of drug addiction. The most important are features of a constitution and hormonal
difference, which significantly affect the pharmacokinetics of drugs (NIAA, 2015). In general, women
have a lower activity of hepatic enzymes related to drug metabolism. Resulting from the body weight
and a higher ratio of fat tissue in relation to the muscle, there is a higher concentration of surfactant in
the blood of women compared to men even while receiving similar doses of substance. A larger
amount of adipose tissue significantly increases the absorption of lipophilic surfactants (PCP,
marijuana) and their subsequent slow release. The action of drugs on the central nervous system also
depends significantly on the human sexual affiliation. It is connected with the central mechanisms of
neurotransmission mesocorticolimbic system in women, leading to a higher concentration of
dopamine (Scott, 2015). In conclusion, it can be said that females are less resistant to the drugs, which
leads to the faster habituation to complications when trying to overcome the addiction.
Another aspect to highlight lies in the scopes of the development of alcohol or drug abuse is the
genetical factors of inheritance and genetic factors. Of course, there are numerous debates in the
discussion labelled as nature or nurture, but the inheritance cannot be ignored. One of the research
establishes that alcoholism

The Theme Of Death In Disney Movies
The Circle of life The Lion King was definitely not the first Disney movies to contain death, but it was
the first to have a central theme around it. Children still sing The Circle of Life on repeat, however
back they never really think about the meaning behind the song, it was just another catchy Disney
song to a six year old. In this classic song people are taught about the fundamentals of death and how
its just one big circle. Death is a necessary part of life, world religions revolve around it, and it drives
people to accomplish more in life. One of the most common appearances of the topic death is in
religion. Holy books such as the Bible, the Vedas, and the Tripitaka, show many different views on
what death is and what happens to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the first reasons death is so important is because without death earth would have reached its
carrying capacity along time ago. Alan Watts a famous british philosopher once said If one person
dies, it is in a way honorable, because he s making room for others ( ). Watt s said that dying was
honorable which is very true. Through death current generations are leaving room for the next
generation and their contributions to the world. Improving the world is one of the main goals of
humans and many find comfort in knowing, as Jeffrey Kluger wrote in his Time Magazine Article,
that the world you re exiting is at least a bit richer than the one you found when you arrived ( ). One of
the most fulfilling things for a person to know before they die is that they have had some sort of
impact on the world around them, whether it be through the environment, animals, or the people
around them, it helps people feel like their death was more meaningful if they know they left a legacy
behind. Alan Watts once said that death is the source of life. We see this when the leaves fall from the
trees and they mold and wrot creating humus from which more plants can grow ( ). All around things
die but in the end death makes way for future

The Making Of Space Race And Place Analysis
Going back to the original question, what is considered graffiti? McAuliffe and Iveson proposed an
idea, asking whether graffiti is still graffiti if it is taken from its illegal context on the walls of the city
and placed in a gallery (130). In The Making of Space, Race and Place by Maggie Dickinson, Sandra
Fabara, a writer who was featured in the Brooklyn Museum exhibit, answered this question. Fabara
argued that The pieces in galleries cease to be graffiti because they have been removed from the
cultural context that gives graffiti a reason for being, a voice from the ghetto. Authentic graffiti cannot
exist in the sanctuary provided by the galleries and museums (39). She is saying that since the cultural
side is being taken away and

The Apology And Interpretation Of The Trial Of Socrates
The Apology is Plato s account and interpretation of the trial of Socrates (399 BC). When the Thirty
Tyrants were ruling Athens, Socrates was asked by them to help capture Leon of Salamis, a wealthy
man. This arrest was to be made simply because Leon was a just Democrat and the Tyrants wanted to
take his huge estate for themselves. Socrates disobeyed these orders hence why he was later executed
as a traitor of Athens. Meletus was the man who then brought Socrates before a jury for prosecution.
Socrates pleaded innocent in his trial. Similarly, several arguments are used to support the idea that he
was innocent and should not have been executed. In his argument for his innocence, Socrates poses
his defense before the jury as shown by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He made people think he was smarter than everyone else, and that he would always argue better than
they could. Moreover, he always aimed at embarrassing people with tough arguments rather than
trying to educate or correct them. In this specific argument with Euthyphro, he tries to understand the
meaning of holiness, although his state of mind is to show his companion that he always wins in
arguments. To begin with, Socrates asks for the meaning of holiness. Euthyphro responds by stating
that holiness is what he is doing; prosecuting the wrongdoer even if it is his own father. However,
Socrates is not satisfied with this answer and pins down the argument by adding that there are more
holy things and that it is an example not a definition.
Socrates way of arguing with people always led to heated debates, and most people usually walked
away from him. He was always a nuisance when it came to explaining matters involving doing things
the way that they were done. Just as he argued with Euthyphro, he did the same with the Tyrants. They
had issued a command that he should help in the arrest Leon, the Democrat. It was highly likely that
Socrates would oppose this move as he was always against what people did as long as he was not
satisfied. He found no reason to go after Leon and did not trouble himself with answering to the
Tyrants call for Leon s execution because Socrates believed

Arguement For Illegal Immigrants In The US
Being a country that offers a plethora of opportunities for those who wish to start a new life, the
United States of America is a nation that deals with a greal deal of problems stemming from illegal
immigration. For many years, immigrants attempting to illegally enter the US has been a problem.
South American and Central American countries are often the places that immigrants are coming from.
There is much debate over whether or not to allow these undocumented aliens to remain in the United

Literary Themes In Okja
In a world where the problem of mass hunger persists, the perpetual need to find new ways to feed the
hungry has grown immensely. From new types of farming techniques to using different types of
fertilizers, genetically modified organisms have become the trend to stopping world hunger.
Consequently, many have chosen to ridicule the ethicality of using biotechnology to modify animals
for consumers. Most notably, the movie Okja, directed by Bong Joon Ho, follows a young girl named,
Mija, as she goes on a quest to save her super pig, Okja, stripped from her by a heartless corporation.
The clear underlying theme revolves around the idea of loss of innocence and is employed through
many elements of literature described in Thomas C. Foster s How to Read Literature Like a Professor:
placement of geography, a metaphorical vampire, and a hero s quest Throughout the movie, Okja, the
geological settings help accentuate important scenes and give depth to the story. As stated in Foster s
book, Hills and valleys have a life of their own (Fostern 181). The altitudes of the high mountains and
low valleys play as symbolic environments. Likewise, Okja and Mija s home lies up in the lush hills
where they are isolated from the main city of Seoul. The hills represent a paradise where Mija has
grown up in and symbolizes Mija s youthfulness and innocence. It s only when Mija leaves the
mountains to chase after Okja that she encounters the hustle and bustle of the big city. After a group

Why Did Alcatraz Escape
Alcatraz The treacherous life at Alcatraz led many men to snap. Alcatraz was a death trap for some, on
an island just miles away from San Francisco, with the freezing currents of San Francisco Bay
surrounding it. Over the years there had been many escape attempts, but none as mysterious as the one
that Frank Morris, Allen West, and brothers Clarence and John Anglin had been plotting for months.
Numerous people believe that they died during this escape attempt, but evidence has shown that they
most likely escaped Alcatraz successfully and survived. This evidence includes no bodies were found,

Evidence has been found, that proves they had an outside helper, who was included in their ingenious
plan. The day after the escape it was reported that an electrical cord, one hundred twenty feet long was
found missing. There was also a boat schedule for leaving Alcatraz and some magazines telling how to
tie and untie a boat from a dock and how a boat enters and exits a slip. These were found on Frank
Morris s desk. The theory is that they came up under the boat dock, went under the water and tied the
electrical cord to the scaling up by the rudder. Then fed the cord all the way around the dock so when
the prison launch was coming out of the slip they would be able to position the raft, so it would be
pulled out toward the mainland. Then they somehow untied the electrical cord and paddled to a nearby
getaway boat. Robert Checchi saw a Pristine white boat waiting for something, or someone on that

The Problem Of Down Syndrome
Down syndrome is a situation in which a person is born with too many copies of the twenty first DNA
segment. Every human being has a total of twenty three genetic factors, in which about fifty percent
are paternal. This disability has three causes which include Trisomy twenty one, Mosaic Down
syndrome, and Translocation Down syndrome with Trisomy twenty one being the primary. Many
people feel Down syndrome is hereditary but this carries a very small percent of proof. Down
syndrome does not affect each effected the same but studies and progression has proven to be less than
the average person. This makes it imperative for Teachers to find many different ways to make sure
that every child with DS is gaining the same amount of education as other children. This can be done
by speaking clear while reading to the children and being extremely patient when the children are
taking longer than most students.
Down Syndrome Down syndrome is a situation that effect many families around the world. For
numerous years there were no answers to what caused the disability. Researcher found that there was

this case there were too many duplicated of the twenty first gene. People affected with Down

The Massachusetts Bay Colony And Virginia
Kassandra Payette
Mocarski
Academic U.S. History
29 September 2015
The Massachusetts Bay colony and Virginia had a sundry amount of differences as well as similarities.
Each of these colonies was founded upon different ways of living. Digging deeper, there are many
more differences about these colonies than there are similarities. Although both colonies eventually
experienced the help of the natives, each colony set separate rules and laws for themselves. Virginia is
more geographically spread out and more focused on obtaining gold for personal profit, whereas
Massachusetts is more of a united, small farmed colony that focused more on the efforts for religious
freedom.
John Rolfe was an English settler who based the voyage to America simply on the growth of tobacco.
Rolfe s crew, along with many other young men, traveled to Virginia in 1609 to search for gold. When
the ship reached on the shore, all that was seen was sandy beaches and swampy marshes. Neither of
which helped with the growth of the major cash crop. Even after the valiant attempts to scrounge for
gold, there was no success. With the large amount of crops that Virginia grew, the colony needed to
expand west into new land for more room to grow crops. At this time Virginia was an underdeveloped
colony that needed settlers to come live and work. Virginia introduced the ever growing indentured
servitude. Most of the indentured servants were possibly single men of the lower class. The ship s list

Relishing the Ambrosia of Hope in Stephen Crane´s Bowery...
At the bed of the deepest ocean, exist a distinguished sect of people. They live with no warmth or
light, in the darkest, most nefarious pit of the world. They eternally drown. An occult force leisurely
sips their souls, relishing every drop. It savors the thin and sweet nectar of innocence as it fluidly
streams down its throat, appeasing its taste buds but never quenching the crave for more. This mystic
being extracts the cherubic innocence of a child s laughter before it even has the chance to dance upon
their lips. However, it lives within the souls of the children; it is engraved in their bones, an intrinsic
quality passed from generation to generation. It works from the inside to turn every person against one

Without building the base for the building, which would be their child s ethical outlook, parents try to
make a skyscraper. They threaten children with stories and gibe about the devil and hell, but they do
not realize that their children have no perception of the opposite side, God and purity. They cannot
appreciate the darkness of the devil without understanding the beauty of God and religion. In the
Bowery, inhabitants possess a warped sense of religion that fails to offer truth and sanctuary. Instead,
religion is just a word for these people; they throw it around without understanding what it is and why
it exists. The victims of the Bowery have no pure sense of untainted religion. They do not see that God
teaches humans to practice ethic and to love others; without this fundamental comprehension, it is
impossible for them actually to apply these ideologies in their lives. Still, they attempt to incorporate
religion into their lives because they see the more affluent people doing so. In trying to affiliate
religion with the filthy and obscene Bowery, they corrupt the core purpose of it. They do not see that it
is impossible to tie such a white and pure idea to a place so iniquitous and scarred. When they try to
tie this knot, they unveil the hypocrisy in their actions and words. Crane instills these qualities of
hypocrisy in Jimmie and Mary in order to show the Bowery s naivety towards genuine morality

Descriptive Essay On A Day At The Beach
Traveling the distance for a day of no school, work and responsibilities for a quick getaway, is the
medication to a happy lifestyle. So we set off a trip to a destination that is worry free. The long car
ride is spent singing to our favorite throwback songs and arguing about the dumbest of things, like
who ate the last slice of pizza the night before or maybe even who left the seat up last. All of which
are moments worth a chuckle. When we finally arrive at the wonderful place, the first breath of fresh
air is taken as the door to our white suburban is opened and we come into contact with the grounds of
Pismo Beach. With the help of the seven individuals that poured out of the cramped car; we start to
unpack the trunk with gadgets that are needed for the day to begin. Ice chests, sand buckets, shovels,
foldable chairs, towels and a radio, all come along with us in our journey for a day at the beach.
Immediately it is noticed that there is a drastic change in temperatures as it dropped a couple degrees
from how it felt back home. The breeze here fills my skin with goosebumps that the short hairs on my
arms stand up as it is too cold for normalcy. The wind also elevates the grainy sand to reach the height
of my head, and the particles become a part of my tangled brunette hair, where later it will almost
become impossible to get every single sand bit out of the barkish stands. Heading down to the
oceanside, we choose a section to set up. Towels are thrown on the surface of the beach. Sandwiches
are in the factory of Momma s kitchen being prepared for the hungry stomachs of my siblings and I.
After filling out human gas tanks, it s time to get a feel of the finest, Pismo Beach. Buckets are filled
with sand because it is time to build unstable castles and mansions that is a representation of our ideal
home when we grow up. My dad will think it s cool acting like the hulk, stomping around our
masterpiece and burning it down to the core, smooshing together the damp sand, with the only thing
left is the stamp of his size thirteen foot. And us. rolling in the sand laughing at the character he played
so carelessly. The scene he created, the laugh we felt in our stomachs, are all just part of why we love

The Pros And Cons Of The United States Presidential System
Everything in life is not perfect whether it concerns humans or even the government. According to
Merriam Webster dictionary, government can be defined as, the group of people who control and make
decisions for a country, state, etc. Government can be organized in variety of ways, in order to control
a civilized society. For example, a government can either be structured as a presidential system or
even multi party parliamentary system. The United States government uses a presidential system in
order to govern their nation. However, Professor Christopher S. Allen believes that the United States
presidential system contains many flaws. Professor Allen s reasoning that the multi party
parliamentary system may help overcome the core institutional blockages of the American presidential
system is correct because it would result in an effective form of government where voting rates, costly
campaigning cost, confusion of roles and political accountability would mend the political structure in
United States leading to prosperity for the nation. Professor Allen believes ... Show more content on

Internartional Business (7 Eleven in Vietnam)
International Business
Executive Summary
International business consists of business transaction between parties from more than one country.
Examples of international business transactions include buying materials in one country and shipping
them to another for processing or assembly, shipping finished products from one country to another
for retail sale, building a plant in a foreign country to capitalize on lower labor costs or borrowing
money from a bank in one country to finance operations in another.

days a week. The company s corporate name was changed from The Southland Corporation to 7

In my opinion, the suitable country to locate the new 7 Eleven is Vietnam because 7 Eleven is the
convenient store which there is everything selling. Just go inside and you will get everything you
want.
Vietnam is officially the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, is the easternmost country on the Indochina
Peninsula in Southeast Asia. It is bordered by China to the north, Laos to the northwest, Cambodia to
the southwest, and the South China Sea to the east. With population of over 85 million. Vietnam is the
13th most populous country in the world.
Vietnam is the developing country; they are willing to accept the new things such as technology,
products, people, etc. from outsiders. Now there are many foreign investors invest in Vietnam,
because the factors in Vietnam are reasonable.
So 7 Eleven store in Vietnam will be the good idea. That will be convenient for their people and
because of it is open 24 hours daily, so anytime, people can go and buy no need to rush or hurry to go
to 7 Eleven stores.

Impacts Of Coal Mining On The Environment
Coal mining can have seriously adverse environmental and related impacts, including interference
with groundwater quantity and quality, land subsidence, impacts on river flows and consequential
impact on other land uses, issues associated with mining wastes disposal, creation of geological
hazards . . . and potential ecological havoc (Bian et al., The Impact of Disposal and Treatment of Coal
Mining Wastes on Environment and Farmland 1). Coal, a commodity that the world depends on as a
vital economic player and energy resource, is extracted from the ground at a very costly price to the
environment. It is a major energy source that provides about 40% of the electricity that the world
consumes, and the consumption of coal has grown dramatically in recent years. Not only is coal a
major energy producer, but it is also a vital player in many countries economies, employing millions
across the world both directly and indirectly. Unfortunately, since coal is so important to the economy
and energy production, there is often little regard for the impacts that it has on the environment when
being extracted. In broad a generalization, coal mining techniques can be broken down into two
categories: surface mining and underground mining (the first involving techniques that stay above
ground and the latter using tunneling). Although environmental implications may vary slightly
between the two methods of coal extraction, there are a number of issues that are the result of both

Nigerian Creation Myth
There is a huge debate about how the world was created and who was first. It can also be questioned if
god created mankind or if mankind created god. There are many different beliefs to how mankind was
created but they are all connected in some way. It can be said that god came first because there needed
to be one person that then realized more people were needed on Earth as mentioned in the creation
myths for Venezuela, Bolivia, and Nigeria. These all talk about different ways that god decided how
mankind should be created. The creation myth for Venezuela starts off with the creator of Earth and
Sky, Wanadi. He then decided that he could not rule the Earth and the Sky so he made a copy of
himself to rule the Earth. When Wanadi II was on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He created these people and gave them traits that have now become societal norms. Women are the
ones who have children and have long hair. Men were the head of the household and had short hair. In
addition, he made people different by creating a variety of ethnicities and languages. Not everyone
was like him because they all have different traits that make them unique. This shows that there had to
be a god first that would be able to create all the different people in the world.
The Nigeria creation myth talks about how Obatala created land on the ground and also created people
because he got bored by himself. As he created the people out of clay, he got drunk and caused the
people to have deformities. But, he took ownership of his mistakes and now protects the people that
have deformities.
Since Obatala made a mistake that affected a lot of people it shows that a god had to have created
mankind because he is the reasoning behind people s deformities. The Yoruba people have the belief
that he protects anyone that has a deformity. Without the mistake of the god, the people on earth
would not have deformities. This is connected to the modern world because not everyone looks the
same and some people are born with deformities. People with deformities turn out to be strong and

Frozen Sociology
As stated in the textbook, gender socialization is the outcome of countless interactions, starting with
those between parents and children. At the youngest ages, of course, parents have the dominant
influence over this process. But as children age, their socialization continues under a variety of
influences, including their own personalities and their interactions with siblings, peers, schools, and
the wider culture. In adult life, socialization more often occurs in the other institutional arenas (page

Elsa is overcoming her insecurities and trying to take hold of her unique abilities and be proud of
herself for who she really is. She was gifted, but she didn t see that, with the ability to control ice, it
was horrible. From the accident that she had with Anna, she begins to close herself away from her
sister and her kingdom. The fear of her own power and to protect the ones she loves made her make
that decision. When her kingdom discovered her power she believes the best thing to do is to runaway
and hide, somewhere she is alone and no longer has to be timid, or be the terrified princess/queen she
was before. She has transformed into a happy, confident young woman, finally free to be her true self.
Like today in day, where bullying is a major issue, Frozen teaches to accept and embrace your
differences sends a strong message for kids. The second lesson is of, sisterly, family love and how far
family will go to protect each other. Both Elsa and her little sister Anna make great sacrifices for each
other, showing the power of love for one s family. Elsa had to grow up as such a young age after her

Essay The Hamlet Ghost
The Hamlet Ghost Does the ghost in Shakespeare s Hamlet conform to the standards for ghosts in the
days of the dramatist? This essay will answer this and other questions about the ghost in the drama.
Cumberland Clark says in The Supernatural in Hamlet that: The Hamlet Ghost fulfils all the demands
of popular superstitition. In the first place it comes in strange and creepy circumstances, at dead of
night, when it is cold and still and lonely. Tis now the very witching time of night, When churchyards

This is what we see Hamlet do when, in spite of his immediate conviction that it is an honest ghost he
has seen, he arranges a trial of its veracity in the form of the play within the play (117). Thus is
explained the rationale of the play within a play which is seen as necessary for the climax of the
drama. To begin consideration of the Ghost, let it be said that the Ghost makes his appearance even
before the play has opened. Marchette Chute in The Story Told in Hamlet describes the ghost s
activity prior to the opening scene of Shakespeare s tragedy: The story opens in the cold and dark of a
winter night in Denmark, while the guard is being changed on the battlements of the royal castle of
Elsinore. For two nights in succession, just as the bell strikes the hour of one, a ghost has appeared on
the battlements, a figure dressed in complete armor and with a face like that of the dead king of
Denmark, Hamlet s father. A young man named Horatio, who is a school friend of Hamlet, has been
told of the apparition and cannot believe it, and one of the officers has brought him there in the night
so that he can see it for himself. The hour comes, and the ghost walks. The awed Horatio tries to speak
to it but it stalks away, leaving the three men to wonder why the buried

Changes in Information Technology at Nations Trust Bank Essay
INTRODUCTION
A group of people working together to achieve a common goal is known as organization. They use the
resources from the environment as inputs and process them to produce outputs. Conversion of inputs
into outputs is known as production function. The products are consumed by the external environment
in return for the supply of input.
Information system is a computerized system which helps to minimize the work load of employees

PROBLEM DEFINTION
Inconsistent view of customer data
Data inconsistency exists when distinct and colliding transcription of the same data show up in better
places. Data inconsistency makes problematic data, on the grounds that it will be challenging to figure
out which form of the data is right. It s troublesome to settle on right and opportune choices if those
choices are dependent upon clashing data.
Data inconsistency is liable to happen when there is data repetition. Data excess happens when the
data file/database index holds repetitive unnecessarily doubled data. That is the reason one real
objective of great database outline is to take out data redundantly.

Gospel Of Mark Reason
The Gospel of Mark Three Reasons to Study The Gospel of Mark written by John Mark around mid to
late 60 s is the shortest yet possibly the most interesting of all four Gospels. It contains the narrative
history, sermons, and parables of Jesus Christ in just sixteen quick chapters. And according to some
instructors and authors it also has the most miracles of Christ within its pages.
Three reasons for a student of the Bible to consider studying, not just reading the Gospel of Mark is
one, the key word in Mark is Immediately which is used frequently causing the reader to move from
one account to the next rapidly.
Two, unlike Luke and Matthew who begin their accounts of the Gospel with the events surrounding

We read in Mark 1:22 that They were astonished at his teachings, they were all amazed, Mark 1:27;
they were utterly astounded Mark 6:51; the disciples were amazed at his words, Mark 10:24. The
Bible student can take the example from our Lord who came here with purpose, to save the lost.
The purpose of the Gospel of Mark is to show that our Lord Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Son of
God who was sent to suffer and to serve in order to rescue and restore mankind. It is widely
recognized that the theme of this Gospel comes out chapter ten and verse forty five, For even the Son
of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
In the third point we answer the question, why would these short writings be so well noted and
recognized? And this is answered with the theme verse as it paints a picture of how Mark describes
our Lord. Mark displays both Jesus divinity and his humanity. For example, Mark tells us that Jesus is
the carpenter Mark 6:3. Matthew softens it a bit by saying that Jesus is the carpenter s son Matthew
13:55. Mark even tells us about Jesus emotions. Jesus was moved with compassion Mark 6:34; he
sighed Mark 7:34; 8:12; he marveled at the unbelief of his own people Mark 6:6; he looked

Anglo Saxon Era
History of The Anglo Saxon Era And an Analyses of Epic Poem Beowulf The Anglo Saxon Period
was an historical era lasting for approximately 600 years, from 410 To 1066. Throughout this time
period Britain s political authority began to change drastically. Federalism, a continental social,
economic, and political system was on the rise. This system consisted of classifications such as
nobles, lords, knights, and serfs. Many of the information we now know about the Anglo Saxon era is
derived from the Anglo Saxon Chronicle , which was a year by year account for all the major events
of the time. The Anglo Saxon chronicle proves that many of the literature and art was heavily
influenced by political and life events. After the Romans had conquered the Celtic tribe of Britain, the
Roman Empire began to fall ,and Roman legions left Britain to defend Rome. The Anglo Saxons
began to invade Britain s eastern shore. Their Warriors drove the British into the mountains and the
Anglo Saxons took the land as their own. The Anglo Saxons settlers sculpted the art and literature of
this influential era. They were considered to be their own masters in the new land and they did not
attempt to keep the art and literature that was first established by the Romans. They replaced many
Roman stone buildings with new wooden structures, and began to speak their own languages , which
has heavily influenced the New English we now speak today. They also brought their own

ESSAY ON 3 WAR POEMS
ESSAY ON 3 WAR POEMS
No man wants to go to war and no government wants war but there are many different circumstances
that lead to the action of war. Those involved in war will have political and personal views towards it.
The
First World War was greeted with great enthusiasm and patriotism; however it was the war in which
millions died compared to the wars after. In the past 200 years warfare has changed and with this
change the ideas on war have changed too.
Wilfred Owen, Rudyard Kipling and David Roberts are well known war poets. Using a selection of
their poems we hope to analyze the two conflicting views on war.
To understand what influenced the poets we need to get an idea of their social and historical
background. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He than counteracts these thoughts and statements by saying Who stands if freedom falls? and Who
dies if
England live? By this I think he means that even if you die during this war you will live on through
England and the freedom of mankind so fight because you have nothing to loose.
If you compare this poem to The solider written by Rupert Brooke in the same year, you will find that
the main view is the same. Both poems try to glorify warfare. I think this is because the poems were
written in the early stages of WW1 before most of the blood was spilled, so both poets took the
opportunity to recruit more soldiers.
Wilfred Owen was a solider in WW1 and battled at the front most of the war; because of this I feel his
view on the war can be trusted.
Wilfred Owens poem Dulce Et Decorum Est Was first published after the war in 1921 even though it
was probably written between the years
1915 and 1918 like his other poems. I think this is because it describes the true horror of warfare so
the generals didn t want it published as it might discourage others from signing up to join the army.
The title of the poem is

Short Term Crisis Management Strategies
As a state, California has responded to the drought through several short term crisis management
strategies. The first of these being pumping of groundwater, although an effective solution in the short
term (offsetting almost 70% of the water shortage and reducing crop fallow and job losses), these
reserves will become ever more expensive to extract and will eventually run out. Under irrigating
land, idling of land and shifting of crops go together as strategies that will save the proprietor water
but will also decrease output and consequently operating profits. Another is the use of water
conservation technologies such as shade balls or permeable tarmac, aligning with Boserup s 1965
theory that Necessity is the mother of all invention ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An article written by Ostrander (2015) gives an interesting take on longer term and more sustainable
strategies for L.A in response to the Californian drought, all of which revolve around changing the
way the city deals with its water. The article states that the concreting of channels and river beds and
an increase in urban impermeable surfaces have meant that less water can filter into the ground, rather
it either floods or drains straight into the ocean. In changing the rhetoric of storm water being a
nuisance and restoring waterways to allow them to hold, slow and filter water would fix many
problems at once. Combining this with technology such as permeable tarmac would allow
groundwater to replenish faster when the rains arrive. Although these solutions are not cheap, they are
said to be far cheaper than desalinization. In addition, It is estimated that through strategies such as
these, L.A could reduce its water import from 85% to just over half.
An article by Hudson (2015) gives recommendations for combatting drought with far longer term
orientation, all of which, similar to Ostrander, revolve around the management of water. The article
argues that restricting people s water use is a temporary measure. In the long term climate change and
supply will dictate that California needs to change the way it manages water, particularly

The Annexation of Mexico
The object of war is victory; that of victory is conquest; and that of conquest is preservation (Charles
de Secondat). War is both a necessity and a parasite. It is a necessity for one to conquer and fulfill
ambitions, while the parasite trying to destroy and create havoc in the same discussion. The
annexation of Mexico would face both of these predicaments, but the necessity for prosperity and
stability outweighs the parasite s wants and desires. Bringing forth Mexico into the union would only
benefit the new country both globally and locally. Mexico has too much to offer to ignore the positive
consequences that unification brings forth. Endless possibilities for change for the people, brings

And the more people left out of jobs, the greater the chance of an economic crash. Thats where
stability becomes issue number two. How could this possibly work with all of this chaos running
about? Stability would be very hard to manage with such a flood of job seekers in this new job world.
It would be like walking on stilts for the first time and hoping not to fall. Yikes. There are no great
limits to growth because there are no limits of human intelligence, imagination, and wonder (Ronald
Reagan). Growth is like a child s imagination, it can go on and on in an infinite direction. Never
stopping and never yielding to any type of force. That growth is the USA. The growth of America by
the annexation of Mexico is limitless. Both economically and the stability it would bring is mind
blowing. Let us first divulge in economics. Economics can either be a relatively easy concept or one
you must build from the bottom up. With Mexico brought into the union, and our economy on the rise
as it is, we can only build up higher and higher. For instance, the markets would vastly expand. New
trading partners would come forth with the introduction of Mexican American coffee, sugars, and of

businesses are running. It would be a NYSE, but one that is on steroids, outclassing

19th Century Gender Roles
Gender roles and stereotypes are nothing new in human society and can be traced back to the earliest
known human civilizations like the Aztecs and the Mayans where men and women preformed specific
tasks in order for their societies to thrive and flourish. Men and women equally farmed and took care
of the family, both fulfilling the role as provider and nurturer (Robin 409). So there is a bit of
confusion as to how somewhere down the line, 19th century civilizations diverged so far away from
the original gender roles laid out by our ancestors. The industrial revolution caused a dramatic
differentiation in the gender roles of men and women, particularly in the upper and middle class
societies (Gonäs 92). During this time men and women were thought to have had completely different
biological natures which people saw as meaning different roles in society. ... Show more content on

masculinity, sport and mateship. The play explores a theme that is seen very little on our contemporary

mateship in sport can really have on an athlete. With school soon coming to an end, I decided it would

The states involved in this convention were groups that interacted and discussed there concerns and

camera would be less static and more cinematic. There would be longer tracking shots to give the
audience a sense of being there with these characters. The story is meant to be intimate and that they
are there with Julianna, going through these struggles life throws at her. A typically, sitcom set feels as
though the audience is looking into the characters lives versus being immersed into the story itself.
The eight to thirteen episodes seems like a better fit for this type of a comedy as well. Instead of trying
to stretch out a season of twenty something episodes it makes more sense to try and keep the story line
conscious and building off of each other. In recent years tv shows have stopped being episodes that
can be stand alone. A viewer cannot just tune in to any random episode of say Stranger Things () and

Facebook Advertising
DBI : Synopsis. In the last couple of years, Facebook, founded in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg, has gone
from a college photo sharing site to a burgeoning business networking platform for self promotion,
advertising and multimedia interaction. With new apps and add ons, Facebook users can send each
other a virtual drink, create and host events, advertise their businesses through social ads, and more.
When Charlie Gibson hosted the debate for the 2008 presidential candidates along with Facebook, the
little networking site became a powerhouse in the online marketing community. But will Facebook
ever drive the Business of advertising ? How can Facebook Ads compete with Google Adwords and
become the leader in the Business of Advertising ? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Facebook s algorithms also pick up on behaviors from user fanning and groups a user joins. So
Facebook s advertising is like catnip for marketers. It allows marketers to reach a highly targeted
demographic efficiently and cheaply. That s we can call Geomarketing and this one provides several
advantages for advertisers because Facebook users are spending more time on the network than ever
(5.75 hours per month) and they have passed the 500 million mark for active users. Nevertheless, the
strategy of Facebook meets also some problems with advertising and needs to be improved. The first
one is that Facebook does not touch old people and especially resistants to new technologies. So
Facebook is still behind Google Adwords concerning this point. Then, the advertisers can pay for
many false clicks. Indeed there is a big difference between the number of clicks on your Facebook and
visits on ads. The ads on Facebook are not targeted as effectively as Google Adwords. You can not
choose to appear for highly targeted keywords (eg buying software ). The several changes in design of
the Facebook page can impair and influence the visibility of the ads. Some surveys show that visitors
from Facebook are less good that the visitors from Google Adwords: Less page views / visits (1.58 / 2,
19) Less time spent on the page: 0.37 cons

Descriptive Essay About My Mandala
My Mandala A Mandala is a circular design that is seen throughout many cultures around the world. It
is a symbolic piece of art used for enlightenment, protection, healing, or something else depending on
the culture. They are often made for meditation as well, and even deconstructed at the end. The
Mandala I created expresses who I am. It spans from my hobbies and favorite places to my ethnicity.
This Mandala has helped me to understand who I am, and how I ve changed and grown throughout
these 14 years. The middle of my Mandala represents the love I have for my family. The heart
represents love, and the people circling it are my family, from both of my parents sides. I made it so
that every family member was wearing a different colored shirt to represent diversity, and my
grandfather and grandmother are wearing Disney merchandise because of their passion for Disney.
My mom and her sister Zdanna are wearing matching necklaces, to represent their connection with
each other, and they actually do have similar necklaces. The large portion on the left symbolizes how
much I went to Disney World as a kid, and how I grew up watching Disney movies. I love watching
the fireworks and Tinkerbell flying over the Magic Kingdom, so I drew those onto my mandala. The
three people watching the fireworks are my mom, my dad, and me. I am on my dad s shoulders
because that is how I was able to see the princesses and villains performing above everybody. Once
when I was 3 years old,

  • 4. The Development Of Drug Addiction Essay Undoubtedly, a huge role in the women abuses plays by the biological characteristics of the development of drug addiction. The most important are features of a constitution and hormonal difference, which significantly affect the pharmacokinetics of drugs (NIAA, 2015). In general, women have a lower activity of hepatic enzymes related to drug metabolism. Resulting from the body weight and a higher ratio of fat tissue in relation to the muscle, there is a higher concentration of surfactant in the blood of women compared to men even while receiving similar doses of substance. A larger amount of adipose tissue significantly increases the absorption of lipophilic surfactants (PCP, marijuana) and their subsequent slow release. The action of drugs on the central nervous system also depends significantly on the human sexual affiliation. It is connected with the central mechanisms of neurotransmission mesocorticolimbic system in women, leading to a higher concentration of dopamine (Scott, 2015). In conclusion, it can be said that females are less resistant to the drugs, which leads to the faster habituation to complications when trying to overcome the addiction. Another aspect to highlight lies in the scopes of the development of alcohol or drug abuse is the genetical factors of inheritance and genetic factors. Of course, there are numerous debates in the discussion labelled as nature or nurture, but the inheritance cannot be ignored. One of the research establishes that alcoholism ... McAuliffe and Iveson proposed an idea, asking whether graffiti is still graffiti if it is taken from its illegal context on the walls of the city and placed in a gallery (130). In The Making of Space, Race and Place by Maggie Dickinson, Sandra Fabara, a writer who was featured in the Brooklyn Museum exhibit, answered this question. Fabara argued that The pieces in galleries cease to be graffiti because they have been removed from the cultural context that gives graffiti a reason for being, a voice from the ghetto. • 7. The Apology And Interpretation Of The Trial Of Socrates The Apology is Plato s account and interpretation of the trial of Socrates (399 BC). When the Thirty Tyrants were ruling Athens, Socrates was asked by them to help capture Leon of Salamis, a wealthy man. This arrest was to be made simply because Leon was a just Democrat and the Tyrants wanted to take his huge estate for themselves. Socrates disobeyed these orders hence why he was later executed as a traitor of Athens. Meletus was the man who then brought Socrates before a jury for prosecution. Moreover, he always aimed at embarrassing people with tough arguments rather than trying to educate or correct them. In this specific argument with Euthyphro, he tries to understand the meaning of holiness, although his state of mind is to show his companion that he always wins in arguments. To begin with, Socrates asks for the meaning of holiness. Euthyphro responds by stating that holiness is what he is doing; prosecuting the wrongdoer even if it is his own father. However, Socrates is not satisfied with this answer and pins down the argument by adding that there are more holy things and that it is an example not a definition. Socrates way of arguing with people always led to heated debates, and most people usually walked away from him. He was always a nuisance when it came to explaining matters involving doing things the way that they were done. Just as he argued with Euthyphro, he did the same with the Tyrants. They had issued a command that he should help in the arrest Leon, the Democrat. • 13. The Massachusetts Bay Colony And Virginia Kassandra Payette Mocarski Academic U.S. History 29 September 2015 The Massachusetts Bay colony and Virginia had a sundry amount of differences as well as similarities. Each of these colonies was founded upon different ways of living. Digging deeper, there are many more differences about these colonies than there are similarities. Although both colonies eventually experienced the help of the natives, each colony set separate rules and laws for themselves. Virginia is more geographically spread out and more focused on obtaining gold for personal profit, whereas Massachusetts is more of a united, small farmed colony that focused more on the efforts for religious freedom. John Rolfe was an English settler who based the voyage to America simply on the growth of tobacco. Rolfe s crew, along with many other young men, traveled to Virginia in 1609 to search for gold. When the ship reached on the shore, all that was seen was sandy beaches and swampy marshes. Neither of which helped with the growth of the major cash crop. Even after the valiant attempts to scrounge for gold, there was no success. With the large amount of crops that Virginia grew, the colony needed to expand west into new land for more room to grow crops. At this time Virginia was an underdeveloped colony that needed settlers to come live and work. Virginia introduced the ever growing indentured servitude. • 26. Gospel Of Mark Reason The Gospel of Mark Three Reasons to Study The Gospel of Mark written by John Mark around mid to late 60 s is the shortest yet possibly the most interesting of all four Gospels. It contains the narrative history, sermons, and parables of Jesus Christ in just sixteen quick chapters. And according to some instructors and authors it also has the most miracles of Christ within its pages. Three reasons for a student of the Bible to consider studying, not just reading the Gospel of Mark is one, the key word in Mark is Immediately which is used frequently causing the reader to move from one account to the next rapidly. We read in Mark 1:22 that They were astonished at his teachings, they were all amazed, Mark 1:27; they were utterly astounded Mark 6:51; the disciples were amazed at his words, Mark 10:24. The Bible student can take the example from our Lord who came here with purpose, to save the lost. The purpose of the Gospel of Mark is to show that our Lord Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Son of God who was sent to suffer and to serve in order to rescue and restore mankind. It is widely recognized that the theme of this Gospel comes out chapter ten and verse forty five, For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many. In the third point we answer the question, why would these short writings be so well noted and recognized? And this is answered with the theme verse as it paints a picture of how Mark describes our Lord. Mark displays both Jesus divinity and his humanity. For example, Mark tells us that Jesus is the carpenter Mark 6:3. Matthew softens it a bit by saying that Jesus is the carpenter s son Matthew 13:55. Mark even tells us about Jesus emotions. Throughout this time period Britain s political authority began to change drastically. Federalism, a continental social, economic, and political system was on the rise. This system consisted of classifications such as nobles, lords, knights, and serfs. Many of the information we now know about the Anglo Saxon era is derived from the Anglo Saxon Chronicle , which was a year by year account for all the major events of the time. The Anglo Saxon chronicle proves that many of the literature and art was heavily influenced by political and life events. After the Romans had conquered the Celtic tribe of Britain, the Roman Empire began to fall ,and Roman legions left Britain to defend Rome. The Anglo Saxons began to invade Britain s eastern shore. Their Warriors drove the British into the mountains and the Anglo Saxons took the land as their own. The Anglo Saxons settlers sculpted the art and literature of this influential era. They were considered to be their own masters in the new land and they did not attempt to keep the art and literature that was first established by the Romans. Those involved in war will have political and personal views towards it. The First World War was greeted with great enthusiasm and patriotism; however it was the war in which millions died compared to the wars after. In the past 200 years warfare has changed and with this change the ideas on war have changed too. Wilfred Owen, Rudyard Kipling and David Roberts are well known war poets. Using a selection of their poems we hope to analyze the two conflicting views on war. To understand what influenced the poets we need to get an idea of their social and historical background. ... By this I think he means that even if you die during this war you will live on through England and the freedom of mankind so fight because you have nothing to loose. If you compare this poem to The solider written by Rupert Brooke in the same year, you will find that the main view is the same. Both poems try to glorify warfare. I think this is because the poems were written in the early stages of WW1 before most of the blood was spilled, so both poets took the opportunity to recruit more soldiers. Wilfred Owen was a solider in WW1 and battled at the front most of the war; because of this I feel his view on the war can be trusted. Wilfred Owens poem Dulce Et Decorum Est Was first published after the war in 1921 even though it was probably written between the years 1915 and 1918 like his other poems. I think this is because it describes the true horror of warfare so the generals didn t want it published as it might discourage others from signing up to join the army. The title of the poem is ... The first of these being pumping of groundwater, although an effective solution in the short term (offsetting almost 70% of the water shortage and reducing crop fallow and job losses), these reserves will become ever more expensive to extract and will eventually run out. Under irrigating land, idling of land and shifting of crops go together as strategies that will save the proprietor water but will also decrease output and consequently operating profits. Another is the use of water conservation technologies such as shade balls or permeable tarmac, aligning with Boserup s 1965 theory that Necessity is the mother of all invention ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An article written by Ostrander (2015) gives an interesting take on longer term and more sustainable strategies for L.A in response to the Californian drought, all of which revolve around changing the way the city deals with its water. The article states that the concreting of channels and river beds and an increase in urban impermeable surfaces have meant that less water can filter into the ground, rather it either floods or drains straight into the ocean. In changing the rhetoric of storm water being a nuisance and restoring waterways to allow them to hold, slow and filter water would fix many problems at once. Combining this with technology such as permeable tarmac would allow groundwater to replenish faster when the rains arrive. Although these solutions are not cheap, they are said to be far cheaper than desalinization. In addition, It is estimated that through strategies such as these, L.A could reduce its water import from 85% to just over half. An article by Hudson (2015) gives recommendations for combatting drought with far longer term orientation, all of which, similar to Ostrander, revolve around the management of water. The article argues that restricting people s water use is a temporary measure. So there is a bit of confusion as to how somewhere down the line, 19th century civilizations diverged so far away from the original gender roles laid out by our ancestors. The industrial revolution caused a dramatic differentiation in the gender roles of men and women, particularly in the upper and middle class societies (Gonäs 92). The form of the show would not be a typical sitcom camera set up but more like how Netflix shoots Master of None (2015 present) or Unbreakable: Kimmy Schmidt (2015 present). I feel like the camera would be less static and more cinematic. There would be longer tracking shots to give the audience a sense of being there with these characters. The story is meant to be intimate and that they are there with Julianna, going through these struggles life throws at her. A typically, sitcom set feels as though the audience is looking into the characters lives versus being immersed into the story itself. The eight to thirteen episodes seems like a better fit for this type of a comedy as well.
