Career Counseling!
There are a number of
reasons on which the
counseling of our young
blood is done.Normally,
as has been witnessed
that most of the parents
thrust upon their kids the
aim in life which they feel
better for their kids rather
than asking them about
their wish to do.
Secondly,most of the
students, when they see
their fellows rising in a
field like Medical or
Engineering etc. then
they go for it. They prefer
to have the aim in life
which they see in the life
of their friends, as a
result, quite oftenmost of
the students adopt the
aim which their friends
have, however, and they
forgettheir own aptitude
they are made for.
Because,it has been
researched that the
students need to follow
their inclination for a job
or a field of interest
where they feelvery
much comfortable to join
otherwise, most often
their life experiencesa
huge stress once they
are mistakenly in. Thirdly,
our teachers also impose
their psychologyof the
ambition which they feel
suitable, and ask the
students to go forthat
aim which the teachers
think better. Resultantly,
a student having no such
aptitude like of his/her
teacher suffers a lot once
he/she reaches after a
ceaselesseffort.
Sadly, our students
mainly preferto join
Medical and Engineering
fields either they are boys
or girls. Even parents
also allow them to go for
these two professions.
However, it has been
witnessed that mostof
the girls once fail to
clinch the seat of medical
get disappointed and
they just avoid getting in
any other field of their
choice because they
mainly believe medicalor
engineering a lifeline.
However, the fact of the
matter is that, there are
hundreds of other
beautiful professions
11. which can be chosen by
the students to show their
expertise.Like: Chef,
Tour Guide, Wildlife
expert or a photographer
are some professions
which are appreciated
world over. Those who
cook a good food,they
are preferred in the world
earning a lot of money
and respectby
presenting spicy and
tasty food to the
customers.The worlds
over famous five-star
hotels always prefer to
have all such sort of the
Chef who can cook well.
Secondly,when we talk
about a Tour Guide
profession,they are the
most beautiful persons in
the world because they
not only guide others but
also visit beautiful places
with the tourists
whenever they get
chance of the tourists
being together. They
have a lot of knowledge
of historical places when
they help tourists to visit.
And while talking about
Wild Life Expert, one
cannot deny the fact that
they are the people who
understand a lot about
animals and their life.
This professionis also
appreciated world over;
one can easily go for it if
one is highly interested to
join.
And the professionof
Photographeris an
awesome one because
photographerbrings
about the beauty of the
things or the humans
when he/she captures
the pictures. They are
said to have been real
men because they
always ask you to smile
before taking your
pictures. Finally, if I talk
about the professionof
Law, it is one of the best
professions ever —
because he/she helps
victims to have their right
being justified if they
have not committed any
guilt.
The law field brings about
a lot of knowledge in the
hearts and minds of the
lawyers because they
read a lot and understand
the rules. This
professionneeds to be
chosenby the students
because apart from being
a lawyer, one can also
become aJudge of High
Court or Supreme Court
to join. They can fight for
the rights of the innocent
ones or the victims. So to
conclude,one needs to
follow one’s heart rather
than the mouths of others
who suggestyou
whatever they think
better. Best wishes for
you.

Women Empowerment
Although the word
womandoes not refer to
fragility yet it requires
empowermentwhich over
the recent years seems
to be the need for a
nation to succeed.In the
21st
century, we observe
that the success comes
when the people of a
state work together to
contribute equally
regardless of their race,
caste, status or gender.
Countries like USA, UK,
France, China, and
Russia; though have not
maintained a woman’s
status as much as
required, even then they
have tried their bestto
overcome this disparity
and which they claim to
be the concrete reason
behind their success.
While if we consider
Pakistan’s status in the
world, we find that, yet
we are far from achieving
the goal of the dreamed
land where equality was
supposedto be the first
priority. The major hurdle
on the road to success of
our motherland is the
inequality among the two
genders.When we quote
the word woman that
refers to our mothers,
sisters, and daughters of
the nation, and when we
use the term women
empowermentthat
means, we require our
mothers, sisters and,
daughters to be
empowered.
Unfortunately, we being
irresponsible have led
ourselves to the state
where a woman is found
having no much
importance than of an
objectto be used to fulfill
the need of the society.If
we try to make a precise
list of the inhuman acts,
which a woman still goes
through; the following will
be the major:
a) Early or forced marriage. e) Keeping deprived of the right to education
b) Physical and mental tortures. f) Not securing the right to inheritance
c) Sexual assaults and rapes. g) Providing fewer job opportunities.
d) Honor killing. h) Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)
14. As we just highlighted the unjust done with a woman, let us now try to understand their
causes, in order to overcome the challenge:
a) Less efficientlaws regarding the rights of women.
b) Illiteracy.
c) Lack of awareness.
d) Lack of media’s role.
e) Having typical mindset.
f) Religious misconceptions.
If we proposesome effective measures, these shall be:
a) Making strict laws against the violation of women’s rights.
b) Focusing upon our education system and standard, especiallyin rural areas.
c) Arranging workshops to aware both men and women about their rights and
responsibilities and even teenagers should be guided in the regards.
d) Urging media to raise voice against the injustice done with women.
e) People should be guided that how to respond in case of any mishaps done with their
women and that where to report without any hesitation.
f) Womenmust be given self-defense trainings by the government.
g) Despite relying on Ulemasto understand the religious affairs people should be
encouraged to study and understand the shariah by themselves, whilst the
government must have a check on madrasas which may lead to any misconceptions
among the people.
It is also our responsibilityto state that Pakistan always stands first when it comes to
defend rights of women at international platforms. We must also not forgetthe daughters
of the nation, who proved themselves when provided with the platform, mentioning only a
few names from the wide list:
Benazir Bhutto was the first female Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Muslim World.
Arfa Karim was the youngest MicrosoftCertified Professional(Learn More on Pg 24).
Maleeha Lodhi is Pakistan’s 1st
permanent female representative to the United
Nations and the Muslim World’s mostsuccessfulwoman so far.
Ayesha Farooqis serving as one of the first female fighter pilots of Pakistan Air Force.
Samina Baig is the first, only and the youngest woman of Pakistan and the Muslim
World to climb Mount Everestand all 7 Summit by year 2014,at the age of 21.

Wastage of Food & Increasing Hunger around the Globe!
Wastage of food is a leading cause of
increase in hunger around the globe –
or we can say that: at one side tons of
food is being wasted while on the
other side millions of people suffer
starvation.
The amount of food waste produced
globally each year is more than
enough to feed nearly 1 Billion hungry
people.
Consumers in rich countries waste up
to 22 Million tons of food which is as
much as Sub-Saharan Africa’s entire
net food production.
The United Nation’s Food and
Agriculture Organization estimates
that 1of 9 people sleeps hungry, which
means 795 Million people of 7.3
Billion remain deprived of proper diet.
Developing countries’ hunger rate
reaches up to 12.9%.
A rough idea states that 1.3 Billion
tons (one third of earth’s total
production) of food gets wasted which
costs around $680 Billion in
industrialized countries while $310
Billion in under development
countries where a child dies each 5
seconds. In Pakistan around 41
Million (2012-2014) suffer food crises
– even more today!
We need to observe and stop the
wastage of food in our daily lives! Let
us together play a vital role to
eliminating hunger from the globe by
utilizing the food.
Let us Say No to Wastage of Food!
Let us Say No to Increasing Hunger
around the Globe!

China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)
CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) is a framework of regional connectivity
between the two countries CHINA and PAKISTAN. CPEC is a collection of ports,
infrastructure, motorways, rail networks and power projects, that is currently under
progress throughout the country – while Gawader is much focused due to its coast,
which can host a number of huge ships and cargos as per the depth of the warm
sea. The project originally worthed $46 Billion but now has the worth of more than
$62 Billion asChinahas extended the project to few more regional countries.
The key agreement for the projects to be listed under the China Pakistan Economic
Corridor (CPEC) was signed in 2013 whilst the term sheets were signed during
President Xi Jinping’s visit to Pakistan in 2015, though 2016 was the year when
the project began to generate profits.
In 2016, Pakistan’s first utility-scale – Solar Power Generation Plant went into
commercial operations. Mining began in the Thar Desert for the Coal-Fired Mine
Mouth Power Plant. Also the first trade convoy carrying goods from China
travelled through the newly constructed roads of the western route and
successfully reached Gawadar for a large ceremonial send-off.
25. The Major Projects Include:
Coal Fired Power Plants at Port Qasim Karachi
The 1,320 megawatt Pakistan Port Qasim Power Project
comprises two 660 megawatt supercritical coal power plants
which have been under construction since May 2015 as part of
the CPEC. The project of 2.9 Billion project will be located on
204 acres at Port Qasim, 37 kilometers east of Karachi, Sindh.
The project is to be part of a group of 14 energy projects which
fall under the fast tracked Early Harvest program of the
$46 Billion China Pakistan Economic Project. The plants will be
built on a Built - Own - Operate basis, and is to be constructed
and operated by the Port Qasim Energy Holding which is a firm
jointly financed by Qatar’s Al-Mirqab Capital and China’s
Power Construction Corporation, a subsidiary of
Sino Hydro Resources Limited.
Quaid-e-Azam 1000 MW Solar Park at Bahawalpur
Some 400,000 solar panels; spread over 200 hectares of flat
desert, glare defiantly at the sun at what is known as the
Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power Park (QASP) in Cholistan Desert.
The 1000 MW photovoltaic cells (PV) solar farm was built by
Chinese company “Xinjiang Sun Oasis” in just three months,
and started selling electricity to the national grid in August.
This is the first energy project under the $46 billion
China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a key part of
China’s new Silk Road, linking the port at Gawadar in southern
Pakistan with Kashgar in China’s western region of Xinjiang.
Moreover, Hydro-Electric Power Plant is also underway. Currently several of the
Motorways are under construction. Railway lines are being upgraded. Oil and Gas
pipelines are under being established. Gawadar city is being maintained for the
commercial purposes – it is also expected to serve military in future, as China has
provided Pakistan Naval Force (PNF) with 8 submarines which may help to
enhance the defense system.
26. 0
Foreign Interests in CPEC:
As the world has started realizing the importance of Asia’s largest project, several
of the countries have showed the desire to become the part. CPEC will not only
benefit China and Pakistan but will have a positive impact on Iran, Afghanistan,
India, Central Asian Republic, and the other Asian and European regions.
Moreover, CPEC also ensures betterment in the relations of Pak, Afghan, India
and Iran which shall lead to peace and prosperity in the region.
China-Pakistan Relationship:
China–Pakistan relations began in 1950 when Pakistan was
among the first countries to end official diplomatic relations with
the Republic of China or Taiwan and recognize the PRC. Since
then, both countries have placed considerable importance on the
maintenance of an extremely close and supportive relationship
and the two countries have regularly exchanged high-level visits
resulting in a variety of agreements. The PRC has provided
economic, military and technical assistance to Pakistan and
both consider each other a close strategic ally.
27. CPEC – A Win Win Deal!
Traditionally, China and Pakistan have cooperated closely at the strategic and
political levels. Now the two nations are making efforts to expand their bilateral
collaboration economically as well. The construction of the China-Pakistan
Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a significant milestone in this regard. China is going
to save at least $6 Million a day ($2 Billion a year) through Pakistan’s land area as
it will not require the country to reach Middle East through the sea in order to fulfill
its mass need of oil. China will also be able raise its influence in the region and
export its product throughout the world at much higher level. China also holds 91pc
of the total profits. While the major benefit which Pakistan is going to get is,
overcoming its energy crisis through hydroelectric, wind and coal power plants.
Pakistan is quickly developing its infrastructure, motorways and industries.
Through CPEC, the Gawadar port and city are rapidly developing and tourism is
again on the way. Balochistan will get 16 and KPK will get 8 of CPEC’s total
projects while the extremist groups of the regions are also being countered.
Moreover, Pakistan is going to get its GDP increased up to 15%. CPEC has not
only provided hundreds and thousands of jobs in the region but that it has also
opened doors for the educational sector. Pakistani students are being provided
with scholarships by the finest colleges and universities of China. Both of the
countries have already started to get benefits.
Challenges and the Completion of the Project:
Here, the bitter truth is that the country may not be able to repay the debt as easily
as we might be thinking – as it is around $7.3 Billion per year. While we also doubt
the preferences made by the former government which initiated the; program,
since it has yet not helped maintain literacy rate, health and overcoming water
crisis.
Can China turn Pakistan into its semi colony? Well, we must have concerns!
CPEC’s first phase is about to be completed while second and third shall be
completed till 2020 and 2030 respectively.

written by Hafeez Jullundhri in 1952, selected amongst 723 entries. The national
anthem was officially adopted on13, August, 1954. It took 80 seconds to run until
the music was added, today making it of 01:20 seconds. The national anthem of
Pakistan “Pak-Sar-Zameen” (The sacred land) holds the title of world’s one of the
best anthems. Syed Ammer Uddin Kedwaii designed the flag. Pakistan’s capital

Pakistan is located at the land which was owned and ruled by Bronze Age Indus
Valley Civilization, Indo-Greeks, Alexander III of Macedon, The Arab Umayyad
Caliphate, Mughal Empire and recently British Empire. Then came the time when
the sub-continent got divided into two; resulting in the creation of Pakistan (14th
of
August, 1947). After the country got independence from the United Kingdom, it was
still a Dominion State (1947), later on 23rd
March, 1956, it turned into Islamic
Republic of Pakistan, making its own constitution which was then updated on 14,
August, 1973 (current constitution). As Pakistan was founded by Muhammad Ali
Jinnah, he decided to take the office of Governor General as well. Liaqat Ali
Khan was the First Prime Minister, however he was later assassinated. General
Sir Frank Walter Messervy was the First Army Chief of Pakistan. The Second

SINDH
30. SINDH
Sindh, also known as the Valley of Mehran (located in South-East) has the early
history from the 6th
century. It is the third largest province by area (140,914 km

Sea. The valley of Mehran has got Indus River in its territory. The Thar Desert is
located in its Eastern region, while it has got Kirthar Mountains in its Western
region. Its provincial capital Karachi contributes the most in the country’s GDP.
Karachi has also helped the province to develop economically. The tomb of
Quaid-e-Azam, Dou Darya, and the Sea View are its most famous places. Every
year millions of people visit Sindh to show their devotion towards the land’s Saints
including; Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai, Lal Shabaz Qalander, Abdullah Shah Ghazi,
Sadar-Uddin Shah, and Makki Shah. Karachi (population: 9,339,023),
Hyderabad (having Kotri Barrage, and Rani Bagh), Sukkur (having the famous
British built Rohri Bridge, Sukkur Barrage and Minara-e-Masoom Shah) and
Larkana are its major cities while 4000+ years old Moen-Jo-Daro, Aror, Ghorak
Hills (Dadu), Kot Diji Fort (Kot Diji) are its famous and historical cities, highly
increasing tourism. 831.71 Million USD was recorded as Sindh’s GDP in 2017,
second highest in Pakistan. The province is entirely blessed as its crops include;
cotton, rice, wheat, sugar cane, dates, bananas, and mangoes, while its natural
resources include; gas petrol and coal.
Politically the province is mostly found under the influence of Bhutoism. Pakistan
People’s Party (PPP) is its ruling party. PPP was founded by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto
(sentenced to death during Zia-Ul-Haq’s era), later led by Benazir Bhutto
(assassinated during her election campaign), followed by Asif Ali Zardari and
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari (Chairman). Murad Ali Shah is its Chief Minister. Mr.
Imran Ismael is its Governor. Amjad Javed Saleemi is its Inspector General.
31. The Colors of Sindh
The natives of Sindh are famous for being the hosts to the new people arriving.
Sindh’s people mostly speak Sindhi and Urdu in Karachi. Siraeki, Brohi, and
Punjabi are least spoken languages in the region. The symbols of Sindhi culture
are Sindhi Topi and Ajrak. The famous Sindhi song “Ho-Jamalo” is often played
while celebrating various events. In Sindh, people are found as fond drinkers of
tea. The Hyderabadi Biryani and its Sindhi Pulao are famous worldwide. The
people who live in rural areas of Sindh are famous for their Handicrafts and their
world-renowned quilts.
The rest of the culture and details is best defined trough the following pictures:
32. PUNJAB
Punjab (the word refers to five waters) is the second largest province by area
(205,344 km sqr), having 36 districts and 127 Tehsils. Punjab also dates back to
2600 BCE, first discovered at Harapa. In 326 BCE, Alexander the Great defeated
King Porus at the Battle of the Hydaspes, near Mong, Punjab. The province was
later in 8th century CE, invaded by Tamerlane, Babur, and Nader Shah. Followed
by Mughal Empire and the Sikh led armies claiming Lahore in 1759. It was also led
by the British Empire until the independence. The province has the highest
population (up to 110,012,442 -2017). It is bordered by Sindh, Balochistan, KPK,
Azad Kashmir and the enclave of Islamabad. It also connects with Indian Held
Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan. The province’s coordinates are 31*N — 72*E.
Punjab contributes the highest in the country’s Industrial Sector, makes 24% of
Province’s GDP. It is South Asia’s one of the most urbanized regions, with
approximately 40% of people living in urban areas. Punjab is the most liberal
province of the country. Its poverty rate is lower than the rest of Pakistan. It is
highly developed having number of universities and colleges, having literacy rate
up to 58%. Punjab has highly developed through the years. Several UNESCO
World Heritage Sites are located in Punjab, including the Shalimar Gardens,
Lahore Fort and the archeological excavations at Taxila and the Rohtas Fort.
Punjabi, Siraeki, Urdu, Pashto, Balochi, and Sindhi are respectively spoken in
Punjab. Its major cities include Lahore (provincial capital, having the tomb of Poet
of East — Allama Iqbal and the Badshahi Mosque and Minar-e-Pakistan. The
city has the population of 11.13 Million and is based on 1,772km sqr), Muree
(most beautiful city), Multan (having the Shrine of Shah Rukn-e-Alam & Sohn-
Halwa), Bahawalpur (having the old forts of kings), Faisalabad, Sialkot (having
world’s most admired Sports Industries), Rawalpindi and Ancient Taxila, Gujarat,
Sargodha and D. G Khan.
The province is under the influ ence of Pakistan Tehreek -e- Insaf (PTI) which is
currently the 1st largest political party of the country. The party was founded 22
years back by Imran Khan who is its Chairman. Usman Buzdar from PTI is Chief
Minister of Punjab. Chaudry Muhammad Sarwar is Governor of Punjab. Syed
Kaleem Imam is IG Punjab.
33. The Colors of Punjab
Punjabis are mostly famous for being joyful (zinda-dil) and food lovers. Punjab’s
famous foods are Kuri, Nihari, Saag, Halwa Puri and Lassi as a drink. Punjabi
men’s and women’s dressing is famous around the globe. Punjabi dance (Bhangra
and Dhamal) is also very famous. Many of the Royal Kings and Sufi Saints lived in
Punjab, which resulted in the creation of beautiful mosques and palaces. The list of
famous Sufis and Auliyas include; Baba Fareed, Shah Rukn-e-Alam, and Baba
Bhule Shah also the Guru Nanak. This brings Hundreds of devotees in the form
of tourists. Punjab’s climate is tropical wet and dry. It contributes 76% in
country’s food grain production including; rice, cotton, sugar cane, millet, corn,
oil seeds, pulses, and oranges.
34. BALOCHISTAN
Balochistan (dates back to7th
Century) is the largest province of Pakistan by area
(347,190 km sqr– Coordinates: 27.7 N* 65.7*E) which makes 44% from the total
land area of the country, located on the South-Eastern part of Iranian Plateau, lies
at the face of Strait of Hormuz and provides the shortest route from sea ports to
Central Asia. It shares border with Afghanistan to the North and the North-West,
Iran to the South-West, Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtun Khua. The province
has the population of only 1.001 Million with its 40% of population living in Sindh.
The province has 32 Districts. Quetta is its provincial capital and the largest city
while Gawadar is its major city, having the Gawadar Port. The majority of the
people speak Balochi which is a North-Western Iranian language. Pakistan has
got 3.6% Baloch while only 50% of the figure is found in Balochistan. Punjab also
hosts a large number of Balochis.
Balochistan has got mountains, plateaus, deserts and a few islands. Mostly the
climate remains hot in summers while the province does not contribute in
agriculture. Balochistan produces fruits and dry fruits which include; Apples,
Grapes, Cherry, Peach, Pomegranate, Apricots, Dates and Almonds.
The most significant factor of the province is that, it holds large number of minerals,
including; Onyx (a high quality, dark green Marble, found in Chagi and Bolan),
Salt ranges, Iron ores (nearly 200 million tones, present in Mastung district),
Coal, Natural gas, Quartzite (found in Lasbela) and Gold, Sulphur, Limestone
(found in various areas including; Chiltan, Quetta and Kalat), Barytes and
Chromites.
The unfortunate with this province is that, due to uneven distribution of its
population, it does not get enough attention or sufficient budgets. Previously, it was
witnessed that Balochistan held the highest rate of illiteracy and poverty (48%).
Another reason of this ill treatment is lack of leadership. The province, despite of
the presence of major political parties, is under the influence of Balochistan Awami
Party (BAP). Muhammad Khan Achkzai is its Governor (23rd
). Mir Jam Kamal
Khan Alyani is its Chief Minister (17th
). Mohsin Butt is its Inspector General.
35. The Colors of Balochistan
Since the mid of 2015, as CPEC officially started taking place; we observed that
Balochistan started to overcome its crisis. Extremist groups including BLA (Baloch
Liberation Army) began surrendering to the establishment. The province is going
through several development projects. Career and Educational opportunities are
being provided. The Gawadar port is almost ready to perform. Tourists’ ratio is
increasing with the time. Security forces are much active to ensure peace in the
region. Historically, it is seen that Balochistan has contributed only about 3.7 to
4.9%, however, the rate might increase remarkably soon. Famous Balochi foods
include Kabab and Chargah. Women prefer to wear gold and other jewels while
the men wear Baloch turbans. Baloch wardrobes are famous worldwide. The
cultural dance also attracts people.

37. KHYBER PAKHTUN KHWA
Khyber Pakhtun Khua (The piece of the land of Pakhtuns— dates back to the
Greek’s invasion—327 BC), which was previously known as NWFP (North West
Frontier Province —until 2010), is located in the North-Western region of the
country. It shares border with Afghanistan and Punjab, and has 28 Districts.
It holds the smallest area (74,521 km square) among the four provinces. The
province ranks third in terms of population (30,523,371—30.52 Million of
estimated 50 million in world) while Pashtuns make 11.9% of Pakistan’s total
population and economy (24.35 Million USD—10% of GDP, 20% of Mining
Output, and 78% of Marble’s production). Province’s literacy rate according to
2012’s report remained up to 60.9%. KPK contributes to the production of
agriculture including; wheat, rice, maize, sugar beets and tobacco (in
Sawabi). The region also contributes to the production of fruits.
Peshawar having area of 1,257 km square and the population of 1.97 Million is
its capital city, located at 34.00*N 71.32* E. Khyber Pass has connected
Peshawar with Landhi Kota near Afghanistan. The other major cities/districts
include; Chitral (tourists hub), Swat (most beautiful place to visit), Upper/Lower
Dir, Mardan, Malakand, Hazara, Nowshera, Charsada, Abbottabad, Bannu and
Dera Ismail Khan (one of the hottest place in South Asia, 50 C* recorded in
summers) – apart from Pashto – Urdu, Siraeki, Hindko, and Khowar are also
spoken in the region.
The province’s much area is based on the mountains and has a number of valleys.
This leads to extreme weather as in winters the region faces heavy snowfalls
while in summer some the areas reach maximum temperature as 40 c* in Chitral,
having dry air. KPK receives half of its rainfall during the monsoon.
The province is under the influence of Pakistan Thereek-e-Insaf which is
country’s governing and first largest politically party. Mr. Mehmood Khan is its
(23rd
) Chief Minister, Shah Farman is its (32nd
) Governor and its Inspector
General is Mr. Muhammad Tahir.
38. The Colors of Khyber Pakhtun Khwa
After the unfortunate event of 9/11, KPK faced several challenges, such as;
USA’s activities (drone attacks), increase in TTP’s terrorist attacks and
political unrest. Through these years, over 50,000 Pakistanis have lost their
lives. However, as the anti-terrorismoperation (Zarb-e-Azab) initiated by Gen.
Raheel Sharif began succeeding, the province started to overcome the
challenges. The recent actions taken by the provincial government are said to
be beneficial enough. World class cricketers, including; Umer Gul and Younis
Khan are KPK’s natives. Previously, it was Peshawar Zalmi which brought the
PSL II’s Winner’s Cup to the province.
The beauty of KPK lies in its culture. The men wear Peshawari Topi and
Khusa and are known for the tough gestures. The Pashtuns are also said to be
highly religious. But this does not keep them from the traditional dance. The
famous foods include; Chapli Kabab, Beef, Roasted Lamb and Kabuli Pulao.
The region’s women are famous for being truly ravishing as Gul Parna from
Peshawar. The folk music’s instruments include; Harmonium, Rubab
Mangey, Drum and Chitrali Sitar..
39. Federally Administered Tribal Areas
FATA (located in North-Western Pakistan at 33*0’N 70*10’E) had been semi-
autonomous administrative territory of Pakistan, having Peshawar as its
administrative center while federal as an administrative unit – until the recent
merger with KPK. It shares borders with Balochistan (to the South) and
Afghanistan’s provinces including; Kunar, Nangarhar, Khosht, and Paktia (to the
north and west). The territory has the total area of 27,220 km sqr. It has a
population of 5.002 Million — 2.4% (2017). FATA had ranked 8th among the
provinces by GDP which is up to 3.04 Million USD — 1.5%. FATA has 12
members in National Assembly and 8 members in Senate while none in KPK’s
assembly. Let us discuss FATA’s role and crises before its merger with KPK.
The major towns of the area are Parachinar (the largest city – 3,380 km square
— total population: 6, 19,553), Miramshah, Razmak, Wanna, Khar, Jamrud and
Landi Kotal. The territory has seven tribal agencies and six frontier regions:
Majority of the people living in FATA are Pashtuns and therefore Pasto is widely
spoken there. The people of FATA faced many challenges since 2001’s attack on
Pentagon — also known as 911. In the same year, Afghan Terrorists started
infiltrating into the region to counter US Forces present on Afghan soil. In 2003,
Taliban forces took charge of FATA and began attacking all around the country. In
2004, USA encouraged Pak Army to begin anti-terrorism acts which made 80, 000
Pak troops to enter FATA. Almost 10 operations were conducted by Pak Army to
eliminate terrorist organizations present within the region — the recent operation
Zarb-e-Azab helped counter terrorism all over the country. However, 20 million
people of FATA have migrated since then, as the schools, hospitals, and other
infrastructures were destroyed during the war on terror. JUI-F and Pakthun
Tahafuz Movement is popular.
Tribal Agencies Frontier Regions (FR)
Bajaur Agency FR Peshawar
Mohmand Agency FR Kohat
Khyber Agency FR Bannu
Orakzai Agency FR LakkiMarwat
Kurram Agency FR Tank
North Waziristan Agency FR Dera Ismail Khan
South Waziristan Agency ---------------------------
40. In 2017, government of Pakistan considered PTI, PPP, JI, ANP and Qaumi Watan
Party (QWP) proposal of merging FATA with KPK; however JUI-F strong political
ally of PML-N stood against it and demanded status of a separate province for
FATA. Later the merger was approved by the President, though the parliament has
yet not passed any such law.
The region is controlled by the federal government via governor KPK on the behalf
of the President. The constitution of Pakistan (1973) does not extend the
jurisdiction of Supreme and High Court of Pakistan to FATA and PA TA, according
to Article 247 and Article 248 —It is dealt under Frontier Crimes Regulations
(FCR). The Frontier Regions are managed by the Deputy Commissioners (DCs).
Provincially Administered Tribal Areas (PATA) includes:
KPK Chitral Upper Dir Lower Dir Swat Bunner Shangla Kohistan Kala Malakand
Balochistan Loralai Killa
Saifullah
Musakhel Zhob Sherani Barkhan Dalbandin Kohlu Dera
Bugti
Punjab Dera Gazi Khan Rajanpur ------ ---------- ----------- ------------ ----- -------------
Article 246 (b)(I), Article 247 (1)(2)(3)(4) deals with PATA. The judicial officers’
nomenclature differs in PATA as Session Judge is pronounced as Zila Qazi and so
on. Police Act is applicable to all Districts of PATA except Malakand where Levies
(as DC) are responsible for policing under Federal Levies Regulation (FLR) 2012-2
The Colors of FATA
The people of the territory are mostly found Conservative as they do not let women
have a free hand, majority follows Shariyah and prefer to avoid foreign medicines.
Literacy rate in FATA is comparatively very low which marks only 22%. FATA has
no university but a few seats are reserved for the students in other universities. If
we mention sports; ShahidAfridi is from Khyber Agency while famous Squash
player: Maria Wazir is from South Waziristan. Hardly 1000 square km land is
irrigated. The mountainous region can generate profits through its Marble, Copper
and Coal.
41. GILGIT BALTISTAN
Gilgit Baltistan (The Northern Areas— its Coordinates are 35.35*N 75.9*E) is the
northernmost administrative territory of Pakistan. The territory has the area of
72,971 km square and has the population up to 1,800,000. It has borders with
Afghanistan to the North, Xinjiang to the East and North-east, Azad Kashmir to
the South, Indian held Jammu and Kashmir to the South-east and Khyber
Pakhtun Khua to the West. The land dates back to at least 2000 BC which is
indicated by the signs of the presence of early Buddhists who migrated from
China. It is found that Zoroastrian had also arrived here in the 7th
Century. Islam
was preached by the Sufis who travelled from Persia and arrived via Kashmir in the
14th
Century.
Today, the territory is raised to the status of semi-province and is not the part of
Pakistan, constitutionally. According to the partition of 1947, the land is supposed
to be the part of Jammu and Kashmir, therefore India claims Gilgit Baltistan to be
their part, the same way Pakistan does for the Indian Held Kashmir. Pakistan has
acted strategically by stating that, Gilgit Baltistan shall be the part of Kashmir
after the resolution of Kashmir Issue through the United Nation. On the other
hand, Gilgit Baltistan feared Kashmir’s dominance in future and demanded semi-
provincial autonomy which resulted in its own Legislative Assembly and Gilgit
Baltistan Counsel.
Gilgit is its capital while Skardu is its largest city. The territory has 3 Divisions
(Gilgit, Baltistan, Diamer), having 10 Districts including; 4 of Gilgit (Gilgit, Ghizer,
Hunza and Nagar), 4 of Baltistan (Skardu, Shigar, Kharmang and Ghanch) and 2
of Diamer (Diamer and Astore).
The Climate varies region wise as Hunza and Nagar remain cold even in summers
while Gilgit and Chilas get hotter in the daytime. Some valleys often remain dry.
Hafeez-ur-Rehman is its Chief Minister (2nd), Mir Ghazanfar Ali is its Governor
(more authorized than the Chief Minister) and Sabir Ahmed is its (22nd
) Inspector
General of Police.
42. The Colors of Gilgit Baltistan
Shina, Balti, Wakhi, Khowar, Pashto and Kashmiri are mostly spoken in the
region. Most of the Ismaili Shias also live in Ghizar and Hunza, excluding Karachi.
The Gilgiti Topi has truly become the symbol of beauty which we find all over the
region; however the women prefer another kind of cap which they wear under the
doupata. Apart from cricket people are fond of playing Volley Ball and Polo.
Gilgit Baltistan has 20 plus peaks of over 20,000 feet including;K-2 (6,100 m —
world’s second highest mountain), Nanga Parbat (26,660 Ft), K-1 (Masherbrum —
25, 659 Ft), Laila Peak, Western Himalayas andt he Hindu Kush. Besides the
polar region, world’s three of the largest glaciers are also found here. After the
introduction of flight (Boeing 737), from Islamabad to Skardu, the number of
tourists (both national and international) also seems to be increasing. The region
has 13,00 km long Karakoram Highway which connects Punjab with the Republic
of China.
Navroz (the Harvest Time Festival) and Shandoor Polo Festival are celebrated
annually, while the traditional dances include; Sword Dance and the Old Man
Dance. The region’s economy highly depends upon the Silk Road which is a
historic trade route. Tourism has also contributed to the province’s GDP. The
agriculture includes; barley, wheat, maize, and fruits (produces best Apricots and
can earn up to billions through Almonds’ export).
43. Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK)
According to 1947’s decision of partition made by a committee having 2 members
of each; Congress and Muslim League, led by Lord Mount Batten:
“All the Princely States will have the right to decide which country they want to join,
considering their geographical location and majority religion”.
However, Mahraja Hari Singh of Kashmir; wanted to let Kashmir remain
independent. While, his people; seemed unsatisfied resulting in mass uprisings
against him. Moreover, the consequences occurred before and after the Second
World War, made it difficult for the Maharaja to retain his authority.
Later, Indian and Pakistani militants entered the region, cancelling the voting,
giving birth to the Kashmir dispute – well known as Masla-e-Kashmir.
Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) is a nominally self-governing polity administered by
Pakistan, located at 34.22*N 73.28*E, having the total area of 13,297 km sqr.
According to 2017’s census, the total population of the state is 4,045,366.Azad
Kashmir has 5th
highest contribution in Pakistan’s GDP which is around 7 Million
USD. The state was established on 24th
October, 1947 (celebrated as AJK Day).
Muzaffarabad is AJK’s capital while New Mirpur is its largest city. AJK has 10
Districts (Mirpur, Kotli, Bhimber, Muzaffarabad, Jehlum Valley, Neelum, Poonch,
Haveli, Bagh and Sudhanoti) and 19 Towns. Azad Kashmir is part of greater
Kashmir region which has remained a subject of conflict between India and
Pakistan. It is seprated by Indian Held Jammu & Kashmir (to the East) by Line of
Control (LOC).AJK shares borders with Gilgit Baltistan, KPK (to the West) and
Punjab (to the South)
The literacy rate of AJK was 62% in 2004, higher than Pakistan’s any other region.
The territory has its own National Assembly having 49 Seats and its own National
Anthem: ‘’Watan Hamara Azad Kashmir’’. Prime Minister/Chief Executive of
AJK is Farooq Haider Khan (PML-N) whilst Masood Khan is its President. AJK
has its own Supreme and High Court. Imtiaz Zia serves as the Chief Justice of
Supreme Court of AJK. Pakistan has a Ministry of Gilgit Baltistan and
Kashmir’s Affairs which links the two governments.
44. Acronym Jammu Kashmir (J & K)
On the other hand, Jammu and Kashmir (also known as acronym J&K) is a
Muslim state located at Northern India. The land is marked as Disputed Territory,
internationally — having area of 222,236 km square — having population of 12.55
Million (2011). Srinagar is its capital. Mehbooba Mufti Sayeed is its Chief
Minister — who is not appreciated by the freedom fighters of Indian held Kashmir.
Colors of Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK)
The official language of Azad Jammu Kashmir is Urdu, however, English is used in
higher domains – other major languages are; Mirpuri, Pahari, Pothwari, Pashto,
Parmi, Gujari, Hindko, Shina, Kundal Shahi and Kashmiri (sole mother tongue).
AJK’s economy mostly depends on tourism, textile and agriculture. The region
produces; barley, wheat, corn, millet and mangoes, apples, cherries, walnuts,
vegetables, medicinal herbs, honey, mushrooms, maple, livestock, forestry,
ash timber, copper, coal, chalk, marble, graphite, carpets, rugs, silk, and
woolen cloth. The beauty of AJK has always caught the attention of tourists from
around the globe.
The southern parts of AJK have extremely hot weather in the summers and
moderate cold weather in winters, while, rain is received during monsoon. In the
central and northern AJK weather remains moderate in summers, whilst, in
winters, heavy snowfall covers the region. Pattan and Muzaffarabad are among
the wettest areas as these receive rainfall up to 1400 mm on average, while,
Jehlum witnesses flood.
How free is AJK, is something we all need to find out!
45. Islamabad – The Capital

Hardly any incident has had that far-reaching impact on the Globe as the World
War II has manifested. Humanity suffered the worst; Great cities were reduced to
the piles of ashes and rubbles, League of Nation was in shambles, high-rise
buildings were clouds of smoke floating over Europe and great empires buried
under the debris of history.
Most of the world was witnessing the same deadly picture as presented above but
there was also a country with a booming economy – it was the USA whose
economy was all-time high during the doomsdays due to the sale of weapons to
Europe.
Soon after the end of the World War II, the USA and the Soviet Union opened a
new chapter of Cold War. An Iron curtain had been lowered in Europe and both of
them began clutching the allies. Those who sell weapons, Peace would be a bad
option for them, thus an arms race kick started.
USA came up with massive appealing policies that led to the set-up of multiple
institutions ranging all the way from UNO to World Bank. Thus, promoted a soft
posture of its behind the scene evil policies. In fact, the world at that point in time
was largely in need of such institutions that could bring the more stakeholders to
table. Consequently, Liberal order emerged and it shaped the 20th
century.
The USA and Western Europe were architects of this order; analysts like Francis
Fukuyama began to term it as ‘End of History’ making it the most desired order the
world ever had witnessed. Western ideas, cultures, language and governance
became so much popular that westernization and Modernization became almost
the synonyms. USA and UK long uphold the notions of liberal democracies; even
they are considered the pioneers and founders of the order.
49. However, the year 2016 left the new mark on the world when the UK decided to
pull herself off the European Union. Subsequently, same slogans of scraping the
Unions were heard from other corners of EU. Donald Trump’s victory shocked the
whole world. Demagogues around the globe grew popular during the last few
years. From the US to Australia the dangerous rise of populism and its effects on
the present order can be well observed.
In the developed Western countries cleavages have opened up between the
established globalized liberal order and the right-leaning parties who are using
working class' demands to further their motives.
Europe is witnessing the massive political transformation of the century. In
Germany, Chancellor Angela Merkel's choice in 2015 to open the doors to
displaced people from Syria triggered a crisis in European Union. Her weakened
position was cashed by the AFD, the populist party of Germany; it grew stronger
and opposed the refugee influx in Europe.
Since the Great Recession, conservative populist developments have amazingly
grown in Europe, for example, the Marine Le Pen's National Front in France, the
Northern League in Italy, the Party for Freedom in the Netherlands and the UK
Independence Party started to develop in ubiquity in vast part due to expanding
resistance to migration from the Middle East and Africa, rising Euroscepticism and
discontent with the financial strategies of the European Union.
One of the most resonating slogans of Trump's election campaigns was to give
Americans back their job because his supporters believe they are losing their jobs
to immigrants but the rhetoric seems to be just another election-winning gimmick
because a report indicates that around 800 million jobs in 2030 will be taken up by
the automation. In the US alone, between 39 and 73 million jobs stand to be
automated — making up around a third of the total workforce. So, the problem is
with the automation not with the immigrants
Consequently, the rise of ethnic-nationalist parties can be perilous for the world at
large. It would take us back to the time of Nazism and Fascism, the hawkish right-
wing nationalist forces which resulted in the world war.
Wars are costlier and savagely deadly today because we are living in such time
where military spending exceeds the budgets of Health and educations sectors.
Therefore, International Institutions must come out with such policies that should
be above the interests of few and they must benefit the humanity at large.
Note: The Revolutionary Magazine may not necessarily adopt the above ideas.

‘ The article has tried well to discuss all most of the major
‘ aspects/events of Abraham Lincoln’s Life and the conspiracy
which occurred after his death.
Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln; son of Thomas and Nancy Hanks Lincoln was the 16th
President
of United States of America. He was born on 12th
of February 1809, in Kentucky’s
the then most desolate place known as Hodgenville!
It was a snowy Sunday with stormy winds when Abraham took birth on shuck/husk
placed on charpoy present inside a hut. Thomas Lincoln covered Abraham and
Nancy with a bear’s skin, to keep them warm.
Thomas Lincoln worked as a Road constructor, Bear catcher, Bush cutter and
Guard. He got paid 6 cents per hour to punish the slaves of Harden County.
However, once a case was registered against him, this made him believe that living
in a jungle is the only best option for him as he had lived there earlier as well. In
1816, the family migrated to Indiana’s jungle where Abraham spent 14 years.
Nancy Hank daughter of Louise Hank (whose character remained doubted and
therefore, was forced to leave the native village), lived with her uncle and aunt and
got married at the age of 21 in Kentucky. Abraham Lincoln’s parents were both
illiterate. In 1818, Nancy died (at the age of 35) after facing many hardships and
remaining ill for almost seven days as the nearest medical center was at 35 miles.
Then, Abraham was only 9 years old while his sister Sarah Lincoln was also
young. The family ate only what Thomas hunted in the jungle. Abraham lived in a
shed which had bear’s skin as door whilst it had no floor.
After Nancy’s death; in 1819, Thomas married Sarah Bush who had rejected to
marry Thomas, 13 years back—for now, her husband Harden County had passed
away. Sarah Bush proved to be a nice stepmother to the kids.
51. In 1824, Abraham Lincoln and Sarah joined a school, recently opened by a
teacher, 4 miles from Furlong. The school was based within a small room having a
roof which did not allow the teacher to even stand straight. Lincoln spent his days
and evenings there. Abraham learned to read, and wrote through coal on woods as
the paper was pretty expensive for him, those days!
Lincoln was highly fond of reading, therefore, was largely self-educated. He did not
continue any school for more than a year. However, he retained a lifelong interest
in learning. Family, neighbors, and schoolmates of Lincoln's youth recalled that he
read and reread the King James Bible, Aesop's Fables, Bunyan's The Pilgrim's
Progress, Defoe's Robinson Crusoe, Weems's The Life of Washington, and
Franklin's Autobiography, in his early life. Abraham loved to analyze what he read.
He learned the art of speech by practicing the way; a priest spoke at the church,
every Sunday. He learned to give proofs, evidences, and references from Bible —
however; he never went to a church.
Abraham Lincoln now started writing poems which he got assisted by William
Woods. A lawmaker got one of Lincoln’s essay published in Ohio’s Newspaper.
Lincoln’s first was Essay mentioned rights of Animals as he did not like children
who put burning coal on turtles— Lincoln put them in water.
Abraham worked as a Sailor, Store clerk, Surveyor and a Military soldier. However,
his main concern was to become a lawyer, though he never went to a law college.
On September 9, 1836, after passing an oral examination by a panel of practicing
attorneys, Lincoln received Law’s legal license. In April 1837 he was enrolled to
practice before the Supreme Court of Illinois. Being a lawyer, Lincoln never sought
money but excellence. He fought a widow’s case for free, even paid for her return
and hotel expenses. He saved a young son of a relative’s widow from being
hanged for committing murder.
Later, Lincoln served as the member of United States’ House of Representatives
from Illinois (1847–1849), On May 10, 1860; Lincoln received his first endorsement
to run for the presidential elections—leading him to become the President of USA
(1861–1865).Lincoln got 500,000 additional votes against his rival Stephen A.
Douglas who was a Democrat. Through all this Lincoln had failed in various
elections, almost 6 times.
Why Abraham Lincoln is said to be USA’s best ever President:
Lincoln signed the first of the Homestead Act of 1862, which allowed poor and
freed slaves to own a land. On May 15, 1862, he established USA’s Department of
Agriculture. On July 1, Revenue Act of 1862 which imposed a tax as per income.
On July 2, 1862, he signed the Morrill Land Grant Act which led to the creation of
52. numerous universities. On January1, 1863, Lincoln issued the Emancipation
Proclamation which led to the abolishment of slavery. In 1863, Lincoln established
US National Banking System. He led the Union to victory in American Civil War—
Confederate general Robert E Lee surrendered on 9th
/April/1865.6 days later
Abraham Lincoln was assassinated.
Dark side of Lincoln’s Life:
Abraham Lincoln and Anne Rutledge were to marry each other but in 1835, Anne
died of fever, leaving Lincoln stressed. Lincoln wanted to suicide, which made his
friends keep him away from Knives and even rivers. But the worst was yet to come:
Abraham got engaged with Mary Todd who was first refused by General Douglas
for having cruel nature. Lincoln observed the same and decided to break up, but as
she started crying upon hearing that Lincoln did not urge further. Later, he tried to
write her thrice but each time either he himself or Spade (his friend) tore/burnt
those. 1st
January 1841 was decided to be the marriage’s date — however; Lincoln
did not appear that night and was found murmuring in his office, next morning.
To everyone’s shock Marry again contacted Lincoln in 1842. She visited at his
home and spent some time with him. Historians do not know what happened
during the meeting but that Lincoln got convinced to marry her under great
pressure. On 4th
November 1842, the two got married —there a butler’s son asked
him;”Where are you going?” “I guess in Hell!” Lincoln responded. Abraham never
shared secrets with anyone. But his neighbors stated that: Mary Todd did not like
the way Lincoln dressed or act. She remained as rude as her behavior kept him
from returning for days. He spent much of his time in office and remained in deep
pain. He always felt sorrow until he died.
On February 20, 1862, Willie Lincoln, 11 years old son of Abraham Lincoln, died of
severe typhoid — this event had left Lincoln and Mary in darkness for too long.
Willie Lincoln and Tad Lincoln, the youngest son of Lincoln died in 1971, at age of
18 due to heart’s failure in Chicago. Abraham’s family (Three sons and wife), rest
at Lincoln Tomb, Springfield.
Abraham Lincoln’s Assassination and Funeral:
53. In 1863, a secret society was formed by the leaders of Virginia’s slaves, which
aimed at Lincoln’s assassination. In December 1864, a newspaper in Alabama and
Selma published an advertisement which mentioned huge prize for those who
killed Lincoln. A handsome South American Artist John Wikes Booth, considering
his fame, decided to kidnap Lincoln, but he failed thrice.
Booth came to know that Lincoln is going to be at Ford’s Theater, Washington D.C.
He again planned the assassination and bribed the management to place the
special seat of the President much near to the audience, this shall help him
infiltrate much easily. Then he wrote a letter to the editor of National Intelligence
Newspaper which stated that he is doing all this for the betterment of the nation
and people will respect him for his actions, he asked another artist to post it by the
next morning. Booth had his companions outside the theatre, sitting on horses,
ready to kill help him escape. One of his friends was supposed to kill the Vice
President (Andrew Johnson) but he failed as the injured Booth rushed out of
theatre to escape after the gunshot.
On April 14, 1865; Abraham Lincoln became the first American president to be
assassinated. Booth fired a shot behind that entered the left side of Lincoln’s head,
the bullet lodging below his eye. The wounded president was carried across the
street to the home of a William Peterson. Later he was brought to White House
where his son and wife were crying while awaiting his death. Lincoln died at 7:22
am on April 15.
The mourning was continued till three weeks at Washington D.C, after that the
body was transported to Lincoln’s hometown by train. Meanwhile, Mary Todd
remained at White House whilst Robert Todd (the eldest son) joined the funeral
later. The nation was in darkness and was unable to control up on their emotions.
Women saw the casket which travelled through the way, as a divine piece. People
broke and started renting their windows’ for up to 40$ so that more people can see
the passing casket. People earned $10 for letting others step in their place to get a
chance to touch the casket – flowers rained over the body of the beloved leader.
Booth was shot to death after few days search operations, in a jungle.
Conspiracy – The Plan to Steal Lincoln’s body:
In the 1870s big Jim Kennelly tried to steal Abraham's dead body in order to get
$200,000 in gold. However, the Intelligence Forces acted timely to catch Jim’s
gang red-handed with the help of their former partners.
It was only then when the USA added laws against dead body’s theft!

The Indus River Water Treaty
River Indus, one of the largest rivers of the world originates from the small lake
known as Tibet and ends its journey in the Arabian Sea. The river has a total of five
main tributaries; Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Sutlej and, Bias — which are divided
between the two rivals: India and Pakistan.
Although River Indus proved to be immensely beneficial for the people of both
countries, it incited a great war, eventually leading to the Indus Water Treaty; which
was signed on September 1960, distributing its dominions among the two states.
Initially, the sharing of water was sorted out by the Inter-Dominion accord on May 4
1948; that lay out that: India would release enough waters to Pakistan in return for
the annual payments. However, soon, the problems of this arrangement were
realized—therefore newscasts were considered to find an alternative solution to
allocate Jhelum, Chenab and Indus to Pakistan while Ravi, Bias and, Sutlej to
India.
Brief – Geographical Location and Civilizations Around:
On the northern course of the river within the state of Indian Held Kashmir, live the
Buddhist people and the Dards of Indo-Aryan practicing Islam. Then it descends to
Baltistan (Northern Pakistan), passing Skardu. A river from DubairBala also drains
into it at Dubair Bazar – people living along it include; Kohistani. Pashtun, Baloch,
Punjabis and Sindhis.
Brief: Achievements of the Treaty:
Pakistan’s 80% irrigation depends upon Indus Basin System (IBS) — marking the
importance of the treaty. The treaty equally divided the use of water providing three
rivers to each of the states. Pakistan gained rights for the three western while India
for the eastern. Moreover, three multi-purpose dams; Warsak, Mangla and Tarbela
were built. The treaty had created a layer of understanding among the two nations.

63. Martin Luther King Jr. (1929-1968), a black hero who fought for the rights of
African-Americans. He was a man who firmly believed that the cruel oppression of
the blacks by the whites could be changed through peaceful persuasion. He
advised people not to resort to violence but to meet every challenge, every act of
suppression, with courage and steadfastness. He believed that ultimately, reason
would prevail and blacks would get their rights. Time proved that he was right.
On August 28, 1963, an estimated, 1,90,000 black and 60,000 white peaceful
people marched to Washington to raise their voices for the freedom of the blacks.
They had all gathered at the Lincoln Memorial, to hear, one man who symbolized
the hopes and dreams. Following is an extract from Martin Luther’s speech:
I say to you today, my friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and
tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of
its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”
I have a dream that one day, on the red hills of Georgia, sons of former slaves and
the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of
brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state
sweltering with injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppressions, will be
transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I have a dream that my four
children one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their
skin, but by the content of their character.
I have a dream today. I have a dream that one day down in Alabama — with its
vicious racists – one day right there in Alabama, little black boys and black girls will
be able to join hands with little white boys and, white girls as sisters and brothers.
I have a dream today. I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted
and every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain
and the crooked places made straight.
This is our hope. This is the faith that I go back to the South with. And with this faith
we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this
faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful
symphony of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to play
together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom
together, knowing that we will be free one day!

SELF CONFIDENCE: FIRST STEP TO SUCCESS!
“Self-confidence is the first requisite to great undertakings” — Samuel Johnson
This world, in which we live, is a very competitive one. It is popularly described as
a rat race, full of competent people and the fittest of them survives. Success is not
a cake walk. One has to face lots of hardships and obstacles to taste success. The
most important aspect of achieving success is self-confidence. However, people
are ambitious but not confident enough to go for it. In fact, most of them don’t know
how to go about it or are terrified to take risks in their lives.
Self-confidence is not something which can be achieved in a day or two. Let us
understand that we are not born with it. It’s the situation we face, motivation from
others and self-motivation that make us truly confident. Hence, those of us, who
feel that we lack confidence, have no reason to be upset.
There are 3 kinds of people. One, who dream big but do not have any idea how to
pursue it, The second, who are overconfident and end up ruining their
opportunities, lastly, the ones who are confident and have talent. This segment
knows what they want and how to move further. For attaining a goal, it is important
to strive for it and work on the strategies relentlessly. It is necessary to make
proper planning and follow up. We will come across ups and downs but should not
lose focus and give up. Work hard throughout and be focused until the desired
result is achieved.
65. Now, the question arises as to what are the plans/strategies. At the outset, one has
to be disciplined. It is not easy as it sounds, but, requires a lot of commitment.
However, it is not impossible. Take good care of physique as it is very important
when it comes to self-confidence. Healthy food habits and proper sleep are very
much essential. Since hard work is involved, it is imperative that we do not lose
hope or be disheartened. Knowing who you are and what your strengths are; is an
area that requires your utmost focus. However, it depends on how we perceive it.
Everybody has flaws, but we have to shine through them. Don’t lose hope, be
patient, take care of one self and work hard.
The self-confidence mentioned above is closely termed with the power of the
subconscious mind as the word uncommon may be a rough word to many but it
can make you do the extraordinary.
I have seen many people complaining out there that about their life, their failures
and obviously the problems they have, but they often forget that everything is
happening to them is the result of their choices, desires the lack of confidence.
The struggle behind achieving that desire and choice is not powerful enough; they
focus more on the desire than the ways of achieving it and then complain which is
not worth doing. Remember? There can be 999 reasons not to try but only 1
reason to try it because the power of doing is greater than the power of letting go.
The starting point of all the achievements is a burning and intense obsession along
with the self-confidence which must be accompanied by both a plan and sticking to
the plan until you achieves it wholly. Our subconscious mind acts beneath the
surface to accomplish what it is directed to accomplish and that's why the desire is
the way to transform our thoughts into physical strength.
The reason behind the success of Great Britain was the way they believed that
they will always succeed, their struggle along with their confidence in themselves
lead them to great conquering. Likewise, it's extremely important for the
subconscious mind to believe in the visualization and attainment of the desire
which is called as: “self-confidence” altogether.
If someone lets his subconscious mind to believe in the negative thoughts and has
communicated to act upon them and translate them into reality then the power of
66. negative thoughts will cancel the positive energy likewise believing oneself and
having positive energy through self-confidence loser to success! Those who
neglect the practice to control his subconscious mind are likely to succeed!
As humans, we control our subconscious mind through our five senses but most
people don't often exercise the control.
Successful people are those who create something from nothing in a real way.
Ever thought? Zero gets its value when putting 1 with it because obviously nothing
goes wasted! Have you ever wondered how things come into being? It is when the
creator of ideas and seller of ideas work in harmony having a self-confidence that
whatever they are going to do will rock! Faultless plans are those which are
organized and well planned so before going to put an effort it is necessary to think
about doing it in ways and then act in an actable way
People who have no desire of their own are heavily influenced by others and are
not likely to succeed but successful people make permanent decisions and work
on them with a belief that they are going to make it no matter what as great
accomplishments come from courageous decisions.
A desire without willpower is like a room without walls and is the basis of all
persistence.
Try to focus on the position, because thoughts which are negative will ruin you and
your life.
Faith is faith, it can only come with the self-confidence which comes from the
power of the subconscious mind but can never co-exist with fear which will totally
ruin it.
In conclusion, there is an enormous value in the key principle of the power of the
subconscious mind which produces self-confidence and directs far more of our
lives than we can ever realize!

Bit Coin – The Crypto Currency!
Bitcoin is world’s first decentralized digital currency. It is widely believed that
Satoshi Nakamoto (an unknown person or group – owning 7 billion+) from
Japan, started working on it in 2007. On August 18, 2008bitcoin.org was registered
at annoymousspeech.com—the site allows users to anonymously register domain
names and accepts Bitcoins – the open source software was disclosed in 2009.
What Bitcoin actually is and How is it important:
Bitcoin is a crypto currency which is used as a mean of online payment. The
currency cannot be seen or touched and is kept in digital wallet. The network works
peer to peer without notifying any third party. These transactions are verified by
network nodes through cryptography and recorded in a public distributed ledger
called Block-chain.
According to a research produced by the University of Cambridge; in 2017, there
were 2.9 to 5.8 million unique users using a crypto currency wallet, most of them
using bitcoin — that was more than February 2015, when, over 100,000 merchants
and vendors accepted bitcoin. It is also accepted by various international
companies/websites including;
Microsoft, Subway, KFC (Canada), Toyota, Wikipedia and Overstock (sells
tickets online).
Why is Bitcoin widely used:
70. Bitcoin allows the owner to make transactions privately. When two parties buy or
sell something which could include; drugs, weapon, any other legal or illegal things
from anywhere around the globe through the internet, they remain untraceable.
The identity of buyer and seller of bitcoin is also not revealed but the Wallet’s ID.
How to get Bitcoins:
Bitcoins can be earned by performing some higher level calculations through
advanced computers, this process is called Mining. Share for bitcoins can also be
bought for 10%, 50% or entire bitcoin. Bitcoins can be bought or sold using
different currencies as Rupees, Dollars or Euros e in marketplaces known as
Bitcoin exchange. The leading markets include; Coin base, Bit stamp, and
Bitfinex. However, these markets can face security threats as in 2016; bitcoins
worth tens of millions of dollars were stolen from Bitfinex — which are not insured
by FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation).
Digital Wallet:
Bitcoins are stored in a “digital wallet,” which exists either in the cloud or on a
user’s computer. The wallet is a kind of virtual bank account that allows users to
send or receive bitcoins, to pay for goods or save their money. Unlike bank
accounts, bitcoin wallets are not insured by the FDIC.
Legal Status of the Currency:
Governments are found concerned about this unregulated currency. Because of
bitcoin's decentralized nature, it cannot be killed or any alteration could be made in
its technicality. Whilst, the use of bitcoin can be declared illegal which is
pronounced as de facto ban. Some sort of regulations or bans apply to other
decentralized crypto-currencies including; OneCoin, Ethereum and Dash,
The legal status of bitcoin varies substantially from country to country and is still
undefined in many including; Canada and Australia.
71. Bitcoin was banned by Thai Government in 2013, though is not being practiced.
Sweden has partially banned it. Russians do not look kindly to those who invest in
any currency other than the Russian Ruble. Ecuador has also banned it as the
country is creating its own national digital cash. In China, people relevant to
banking sectors cannot make use of bitcoin. Bangladesh imprisons those who use
