Each shot type is used to convey different information about subjects, locations, relationships between characters, or characters' emotions.

1. Shottype: Example:
High-angle Shot:
The camera is positioned

cafes.
Point of view shot:
Also Known as the POV Shot, This is
used to show you what the
characters point of view of what
he/she is seeing.

2. Medium Close up:
This shot is used to show the face
and upper torso of the subject this
can be used to show reactions of
emotions.
Establishing shot:
This shot is mainly used to set the
location of the scene or film. It can

set the atmosphere of the film.
Close up Shot:
This shot is used to show the subjects
face this is also used to show the
audience the facial expressions
and emotions of the character.
Extreme Close Up:
This shot is used to show the
Subjects face/ facial Features. This is
effectively used to show the
characters emotions and facial
features.

3. Long Shot:
This shot is used so you can see the
subject’s whole body!
Over The Shoulder:
This shot is used to show that two
characters are having a
conversation, and to demonstrate
the interactions between
characters.
