Low angle shot: This camera angle is
positioned below the eye line, looking up at
the subject. It makes the subject look
powerful/gives them dominance.
High angle shot: The camera is looking down
on the subject from a high angle. It makes
the subject look powerless.
Two Shot: Camera angle shows two
subjects, normally in conversation, good for
establishing a relationship between 2
subjects.
Point Of View shot (POV): Shot that shows
what the character is doing from there own
view.
Close up: Close shot of the subject, usually
only shows the head or face of the character.
Extreme close up: Showing only one part of
the face, such as eyes if the subject is a
person. This type of shot is used to show
emotion.
Long shot: Shows the character whole body
Over the shoulder: Normally used to show
conversations, camera is positioned ‘Over
the shoulder’ of one character, showing the
other character talking.
Establishing shot: Shows where the film is
set/where the action will happen.
Medium close up: Shows the character from
the waist up
