Rj Jordan Biography
I can t believe it R.J told himself. At the University of Miami R.J had a unbelievable basketball season
with 24.8 points per game, 8.5 assists per game, and 5.3 rebounds per game. He was a easy first round
draft pick heading into the last game of the season. In the last game of the season his head coach
(Coach falls) had asked him if he was feeling all right before the game and R.J said he felt fine even
though we had a minor pain in his left leg. So when his name was called he ran out to play.
When he got on the court the pain was getting worse and worse. With about 3 minutes to go in the
game R.J ran to the corner three point line got the ball, jumped in the air to take his jump shot and

The Dangers Of Heroism In Robinson Crusoe
Robinson Crusoe is a novel about a traveler which places the main character as a hero, and when it
comes to heroism, the reader wants to believe that what he reads is real. Everybody is willing to forget
its own reality when it comes to dive into an art, no matter if we are talking about literary work,
painting or cinematographic masterpieces. We are willing to accept what we read as the truth and to
forget every illogical element that could disturb us from our escape from life. This is what these works
are made of: to alter reality. It is clearly impossible for a human being to survive this long on a desert
island, especially if we follow every step of Robinson s journey. Growing plants and taming animals
seems so easy, such as building our own house out of a wrecked ship that we reach by swimming. It is

We consider that we read a narrator and not an author. The author is always non existent when it
comes to believe a book. So, when we read Robinson Crusoe, we read Robinson s words and not
Defoe s words. But how do we feel about Defoe being a character in this rewriting? It is as painting
him back in the picture and making him a character since the beginning. It feels as if we are watching
a battle confronting Foe against Foe and making him the culprit of all the lying. And now that he is
nothing but a character that ended up writing a book where he is his own narrator, who is the first
narrator ever? We could actually thought about Suzan right away, since she is the main voice in Foe.
But when we focus a little more, she is nothing more than a silenced woman, pushed outside by a
canon of a male authorship . What could have been seen as a feminist book is taking a complete u
turn: Suzan, who is first represented as a strong woman surviving on an island and who is ready for
her story to be heard, ends up being manipulated by Foe who clearly makes her understand that he
knows everything better than she

Industrial Workers During The Gilded Age
Similar to the farmers during the Gilded Age, industrial workers combatted poor working conditions,
child labor, low wages, and long hours by forming labor unions and organizing strikes, ending as a
massive failure. Early in the industrial era, there was no minimum wage, leaving it up to the factory
owners to set the rate at which their workers were to be paid. Some owners did not pay their
employees in cash but in company scrip which could be redeemed at the company store. For example,
in Pullman, Illinois and in Hershey, Pennsylvania, the towns were owned by corporations, the Pullman
Palace Car Company and the Hershey Company respectively, so their workers would receive vouchers
to spend at the company store instead of hard cash. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Initially a fraternal organization providing social events, sporting competitions, and education for
working men and their families, the Knights of Labor soon advocated for the creation of cooperatives
where members would serve as worker owners who have input on the running of factories in hopes of
making changes for the better of the working man. The Knights of Labor believed that the alarming
development and aggression of aggregated wealth, which, unless checked, will inevitably lead to the
pauperization and hopeless degradation of the toiling masses could only be stopped through the
unification of labor . The Knights were open to all producers including skilled and unskilled workers
and owners as well as women and African Americans. Bankers, doctors, liquor manufacturers,
lawyers, and stockholders were excluded because of their supposed lack in productive contribution to
society. The union advocated for a national eight hour workday, the expulsion of Asian workers, the
prohibition of immigration from the Far East, and an end to child labor. The Knights worked to make
changes for all workers, regardless of affiliation with the group, and opposed strikes and boycotts. As
the Knights of Labor began to fade away, another organization arose called the American Federation

The Golden Age of Detective Fiction
Golden Age of detective fiction involved the genre apex that embodied different relevant elements that
made a form appealing. It involves the collection of the created atmosphere in novels, the complex
solved puzzle. The puzzle was solved by sheer with or with no modern forensic science help and the
nostalgia that provoked the people to continue reading the novel. Even as authors like Sir Arthur
Conan Doyle and Edgar Allan Poe gave birth to the modern story of detection, the Golden age authors
like Agatha Christie, have failed to shift away from fashion. Different writers some with experience
like Christie fell by the way side and out of favour. The setting of this era is seen as quintessentially
English, and was expected to be somewhat predictable and formulaic. For example, the country house
of English cruise ships, trains, and the sleepy English village were personified by Miss Marple of
Agatha Christie (Rzepka, 2005). Different golden age writers sort for personal experience for the
settings and the background of the plots. For example, Ngaio Marsh, a famous theatrical producer
mostly utilized theater as one backdrop. The freeman Crofts Wills, who was a railway engineer was
delighted and bored his audience different aspects that related to the railway. Even though the different
influential age detective fiction was produced and written in the early period, the prodigious output in
the different authors implies that the consistency and the quality were suffered

Why Do People Suffer Cost For Performance Faster And More...
Taking on many different task and multitask is not something many are gifted at. Sometimes doing
one task at a time becomes more beneficial then doing two or more at a time. In this research
Brooklyn College students decided to test if performance faster and more accurate for task repeat
thank task switches and do people suffer cost in performance when switching between two data? After
trials of task multitasking with manipulations like task sequence and cue target delays it was
concluded that task switching can cause task cost and task switching is with and with out delays are
still slower then with no task switching.
Task switching Task sequence effect of reaction time and error rate Taking on many tasks at the same
time can be something very hard to do for some and something others can easily exceed at.
Throughout our day we like to take on more then one task at a time to finish something faster or to
minimize time but research has shown that task switch can cost us time. Stephen Monsell (2003)
conducted a study called Task Switching and concluded that switching between tasks can cause us
time because the brain required loading time , which hinders the focus on the actual task. Loading
time lets our brain focus completely on one task and when that loading time isn t completed it
becomes hard to focus on that specific task; let alone execute it correctly. This causes us to take up
time in between task switching because our brain tries to adjust to the task and

How Did Louis Zamperini Survive
The character of Louis Zamperini possesses the traits of resourcefulness and determination which
result in his survival. He demonstrates this through his problem solving and overcoming physical and
mental challenges. Louis Zamperini puts his problem solving and resourcefulness into use in moments
of scarcity. Zamperini experienced many difficult situations in which he must be creative. Louis and
his comrades were on a raft, with no food and an inadequate amount of water, and struggled to
survive. In the birds stomach they found several small fish, which they decided to use as bait, and with
them, Louis caught one more fish, (Hillenbrand 156). Louis receives very few chances to survive, and

The French Revolution Occurred During The Time Periods
The French Revolution occurred during the time periods 1787 to 1799 which shook France. Its climax
reached in 1789 when the ancien regime ended in France. The French Revolution was the most violent
and by far the most universally significant revolution compared to the rest. The initial cause of the
revolution was the social structure of the West. One social structure that was based on the holding of
all land by fees that resulted in the relation of the king to vassal was called the feudal system that
weakened step by step and had already disappeared in certain regions of Europe prior to the
revolution. The feudal system was characterized by homage, legal and military service of tenants, and
punishment. Wealthy commoners, also called ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Rousseau was an anti philosophe, he took Montesquieu s theory a step further in which civilization
corrupts rather than nature and that big states are also corrupt, small states are best. During the time, as
France faced heavy expenditure that the wars had brought, the rulers had raised money by taxing the
nobles and clergy and the rulers were backed upon the enlightened despots. There are many causes
that could have contributed to the French Revolution like the peasants were aware of their situation
and were less willing to support the feudal system. The philosophes were well read throughout the
region and questioned many. The government was at the edge of bankruptcy due to their involvement
in the American Revolution because there was a refusal to pay taxes given by the Great Britain King
which ended with the rulers and privileged class become allies with the peasants and non privileged
class. There was many economic factors that started the French revolution also like: crop failures in
1788 and the population increasing. The French Monarchy was vanishing because it was unable to
adapt to the pressures brought onto it which also contributed to the start of the French Revolution. The
Great War lasted 1914 1918 that involved 28 nations around the world. It started with the
assassination of Franz Ferdinand and then Austria Hungary declared war on Serbia. Due to an alliance,
called Triple Alliance, Germany and Italy joined Austria Hungary while

Corporate credit expansion in the U.S. between 2001 and the first half of 2007 was driven almost
exclusively by the inflow of institutional (non bank) funding into the syndicated loan market.
The participation of a wide range of institutional investors
(including structured funds known as collateralized loans obligations (CLOs), hedge funds, mutual
funds, pension funds, and insurance companies) in the corporate loan market was facilitated by loan
syndication.
In general, institutional investment in loans tended to concentrate in the leveraged segment of the
market; i.e., loans to non investment grade firms or non rated firms with high committed or ... Show

1. Why is Citigroup seeking to sell the portfolio of leveraged loans? (V)
Why might it make sense for Citigroup to SELL this loan portfolio? Banks would normally be able to
absorb a few billion dollars of bridge loans on their balance sheet BUT the issue lies in the systemic
nature of the underwriting risk.
In 2008, banks were under pressure to sell the assets on their books more broadly.
Like many others, Citigroup had suffered unprecedented losses and write downs and was facing the
prospect of having even more considerable losses. (See Case pp. 2 3.)

Individuality In Gasoline
In a society where people of all ages are obsessing over and imitating the rich and famous, the desire
to be an individual is neglected. In Halsey s song Gasoline, she comments on the way in which people
mimic those around them and deny their uniqueness. Throughout the song, Halsey describes society as
a machine. She claims that through her own experiences, she has gained insight into the depressing
world of being in the limelight. As a celebrity, she is continually pressured to cover up her differences,
but she resists the voices that tell her to adhere to normality. Instead of becoming a puppet that is
easily controlled, she embraces her divergence. Halsey uses the song to criticize society for shunning

She defines herself when she call[s] [herself] a fucking hurricane. This metaphor is comparing her to
the uncontrollable natural disaster that is a hurricane. By embracing her identity as a hurricane, she
catches the attention of the elite and forces them think about what makes them unique. Also, she
enacts change into their thoughts because she is successful without having to conform, helping them
understand that they no longer have to [live] on a screen. Although Halsey uses the phrase on a screen,
she is discussing celebrities and pointing out that when they have their face[s] all made up, living on a
screen, they are actually hiding behind a screen. They use the screen to paint their lives as perfect, but
in reality, they are flawed and face struggles like all other citizens. Halsey continues drawing on her
experiences by stating, I think there s a flaw in my code. Her use of the word code refers to everyone
being a robot in society s machine. However, because her code is flawed, she is able to flourish as an
individual. Her flawed code also references her bipolar disorder, but she goes on to explain that [her]
heart is golden. These descriptions of herself illustrate that although she has faced bipolar disorder, an

Medical Marijuana Should Be Legal
The term medical marijuana refers to the using the whole unprocessed marijuana plant or its basic
extracts to treat a disease or symptom. But how can you really help? Medical marijuana may help stop
the growth of blood vessels that feed cancerous tumors. And what I am currently researching is how
medical marijuana can help treat illnesses. For medical marijuana we basically use THC and CBD
both or cannabinoids that are in the marijuana plant. For THC it increases appetite and reduces nausea.
THC me also decrease pain inflammation and muscle control problems. Also a cannabinoid known as
CBD may be useful in reducing pain and inflammation controlling seizures. But overall marijuana isn
t just a fun thing to use it is something more special it s something that people with medical issues can
use to help treat their illness. Many countries have approved a mouth spray containing THC and CBD
both us particles that are in the marijuana plant. Which is also used in medical marijuana research. The
FDA still have not approved the medical marijuana plant which we use to help treat illnesses. Also the
FDA uses THC and CBD which is in the marijuana plant. THC increases appetite and reduces nausea.
The FDA approved THC based medications are used for these purposes. THC may also decrease pain,
inflammation (swelling and redness), and muscle control problems. Of course there s always a
government company that stops the drug from going into the market and that is the FDA, the FDA is a

Labeling Theories And Labeling Theory
Labeling theory focuses on the formal and informal application of stigmatization of deviant labels or
social tags by society on some of its members. The process of labeling involves an engagement of
Social groups [that] create deviance by making the rules whose infraction constitutes deviance, and by
applying those rules to particular people and labeling them as outsiders. From this point of view
deviance is not a quality of the act the person commits, but rather a consequence of the application by
others of rules and sanctions to an offender. (Becker 1963). This theory treats such labels as both
dependent and independent variables. Exclusively, it views labels as dependent or effect variable when
it attempts to explain why certain behaviors are socially defined as wrong and certain individuals are
socially selected and linked to such labels; ultimately, stigmatizing the person as deviant. In contrast,
labeling theory also views labels as the independent factors or causes when it hypothesizes that
discrediting labels cause continuation and escalation of the criminal or delinquent behavior. Labeling
theory tries to explain the differential application of official stigmatizing labels. Labeling theory
emerged as a perspective rather that a scientific theory (Cohn and Farrington 2012). After an initial
enthusiasm in the 60 s and 70 s the theory followed disillusionment in the 90 s. It wasn t until the early
2000 s that scholars tried to revive the theory. The aim of

Similarities Between The Sacho Panza Syndrome And The...
The Sancho Panza syndrome (then) and the American dream (then and now)
In the 15th century, the combination of the Sancho Panza Syndrome and the American dream fueled
exploration at that time and created an incredibly enticing allure of the New World. Exploration and
colonization were performed to attain a higher social status, more wealth, and fame. The result of this
exploration led to the discovery of new lands and laid the foundation for new countries, but it came
with a cost. The perils of the new land discovered were often incredibly treacherous and sometimes
times even life threatening, however, the American dream never faded away. The American dream
today holds very similar to the American dream in the 15th and 16th centuries despite the gap of 500
years. These dreams are very alike, because they both are comprised of individuals trying to achieve
success in lands of opportunity, and although some were prosperous, others were not so fortunate. The
American dream today is a household concept, which states that if a person works hard enough, he or
she can make a better life for themselves. This concept inspires countless people every day to
overcome adversity in attempt to better their life. On a personal level, I can relate to this dream
vicariously through my father. My grandfather immigrated to the United States in 1923 from Bisaccia,
Italy. The Procaccino family stood firmly on the belief that following the American dream was key to
success, but despite how hard my great grandfather worked, the Great Depression drained the money
out of the Procaccino household. John (my grandfather) yearned to become a doctor, but due to his
family s financial situation, John enlisted in the US Army during World War II. After completing his
duties, he earned an engineering degree and became a New York City engineer. John bore two sons
named Angelo and John II. Angelo was a naturally gifted child with tremendous brainpower, but John
was more of a rapscallion. With the guidance of Angelo, John realized that the best way to create
something with your life was to follow the American dream and work harder than anyone else. John II
became an incredible student and eventually went on to be a nationally

Pros And Cons Of Stricter Gun Control
Guns are designed to kill. They have no other function (Bowman and Newton). Today, there is a major
debate whether or not guns should be legalized. Gun control is a firearm regulation which sets laws or
policies that regulate the manufacture, sale, or possession of firearms. The Second Amendment was
ratified in on December 15, 1791 that allowed people the right to bear arms, but many people disagree
with that and to express their opinions, both sides protest. Guns have a long history in the United
States. They were intentionally made for the advancement of military purposes. An example of what
guns are used for currently would be for hunting or self defense ( Gun Control ). Stricter gun control
laws should be enacted like because they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Stricter gun control laws won t prevent those determined to die, but it will delay their situation to give
them more time to get help. If there were more gun control laws enacted, there would be lower gun
related death rates. The enactment of stricter gun control laws will not only cause fewer gun deaths but
also save money.
Pursuing this further, the enactment of stricter gun control laws saves money. Ann Parrish also
concludes how much money is spent on the consequence of guns;
It has been calculated that the United States spends one hundred billion dollars each year to prevent or
investigate gun violence or to treat its results. These costs include the expensive trauma centers in
hospital emergency rooms; bullet proof clothing for police, public officials, and others at risk;
elaborate security systems at airports, public buildings, schools and private homes; and increased taxes
and insurance costs for everyone. (Parrish).
The mass amount of money the U.S. wastes on the consequences of guns could instead be used for
greater purposes like research for Cancer. The outcome of guns is shown by Andrew Lisa in the
article, Here s How Much Gun Violence is Costing You a Year , Miller s research concludes gun
violence costs about $8.6 billion in direct, or out of pocket, expenses. This is more than just the costs
associated with transporting gunshot victims to hospitals and treating them; it also includes long term

Child sexual abuse is a form of a child abuse in which an adult or older adolescent use a child for
sexual acts. Psychological abuse is like emotional abuse or mental abuse characterized by a person
subjecting or exposing another to a certain behavior.
It breaks my heart to know that child abuse has a history and throughout history children have been
subjected to extensive physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, and neglect. I believe that the
views of child abuse has changed over the years for it has left the home from being a private issue to a
public issue where different agencies are involved in order to resolve the child abuse and neglect
issue. Agencies that take part in investigating and preventing child abuse in today s time are the
Family and Protective Services, SCAN, and several more agencies that are committed to stopping
child abuse and neglect.
Pelzer s story is like many other cases of abuse and neglect that are never told. When he was a child in
the 1960 s, statistics show that reported cases reached 60,000. In 1970, it showed a rise of over 500%,

When twelve Genoese ships arrived in 1347 Messina, Sicily, barely any of the crew were alive. They
were sickly looking and covered in black boils. Quickly, the ships were sent off but it was too late.
Within a few days, the disease started affecting the town, making the Black Death s first of many
appearances in Europe (Martin 12). The Bubonic plague, known as the Black Death, was a disease
that devastated the Western World in late 1347. The disease originated in eastern Asia but was spread

The abundance of fleas and rats combined with the ability for the disease to become airborne allowed
for rapid spreading, large outbreaks, and high mortality rates. When the Black Plague arrived, Europe
was already in a state of distress. Europe s population had grown so large that it was becoming
difficult to sustain the population. They converted all available land to cereal production to produce
the basic need of bread, but they remained one bad harvest or natural disaster away from death. At the
time, the climate was going through a cold phase. This left Europe with harsh winters and wet
summers allowing for many failed harvests leading to significant famines and deaths (Naphy Spicer
27). The arrival of the plague in Sicily marked the inauguration of the cycle of movement that raged
through Europe. The Plague would slow down during the winter months then regained its fierce
momentum during the summer months as it made its way through the Western World, traveling by
ships and arriving in ports. When the people of Messina first started becoming infected with the
plague, some of them fled to Catania. These immigrants unknowingly brought the plague with them
and the people of Catania began falling ill. Catania imposed quarantine laws, regulations on
immigrants, and buried their dead outside the city walls, but none of it made a difference as hundreds

Romanticism And Gothicism In Jane Austen s Northanger Abbey
The class of the novel started just in the eighteenth century however since its exceptionally beginning
it grew quickly. The distinctive sorts of the class gain for instance a novel of conduct, a household
novel or a Gothic novel. The Gothic novel is a well unmistakable sort among the others and has a
critical effect on the improvement of the entire type of the novel. In opposition to Neoclassicism
which adulated realism, Gothicism did not trail the principles of etiquette, did not matter instructive
highlights but rather put highlight on secret, ponder and sublimity. Along these lines, Gothic fiction
increased tremendous prevalence among the users. In any case, after numerous books of the kind

Examples Of Technology In Fahrenheit 451
In Ray Bradbury s novel, Fahrenheit 451, multiple ideas and themes are shown similar between
Bradbury s envisioned society and today s society. Technology, increase in efficiency due to
technology, and thrill seeking behaviors, are all ideas that are portrayed by Bradbury.
Technology is a common similarity that is brought up many times in both Fahrenheit s society and is
often brought up in today s society. When Bradbury wrote this novel, he was concerned that television
would drown out literature in the future as it became more popular. One might argue that the
introduction of the internet and social media has led people to prefer cyber relationships over human
relationships. An example of this in today s society could be the people on the subway train. We tend
to refrain from communication with others and the best way to do that is by entering our virtual reality
in our technology. But, this hasn t happened to an extent portrayed in the book. Montag, the main
character, begins to interact with a girl named Clarisse in the book, she asks him questions like, Are
you happy (pg.10). In Fahrenheit 451 s society, people haven t totally lost the ability or will to connect
to one another in person. Bradbury provides many examples of how technology has blinded people in
his envisioned society. Mildred, Montag s wife, is a perfect example of how technology is slowly
consuming the lives of people in Fahrenheit 451. Everyday Mildred sits in her room surrounded by a

Agatha Christie Quotes
Essay #1: In Murder on the Orient express Agatha Christie uses clues to reveal who had committed the
crime in the novel. For example, when Poirot Here s the scream in the middle inside of Ratchett s
room in the middle and when he investigates Poirot hears: Ce n est rien. Je me suis trompe Which
Means it s nothing in French Indicating that the murderer knows French which can rule out some of
the victims. Later evidence suggests Ratchett was killed at 1:15 am due to His watch being broken at
that time. Another Clue in the story was that when Poirot examined Ratchett s wounds he noticed that
he was stabbed many times by what seemed to be one person who was left handed and one who was
right which also means that there was two murderers (Christie). Later in the story, the reader learns of
the Scarlett Kimono that was worn by the murderer the night of the killing which was a key piece of
the mystery since it was found to be worn by the murderer. Since this was way back before the era of
technology like today, they would be able to go to a lab for a finger print or DNA analysis. However,

which was supposed to be reserved for nature and the Native Americans. Columbus would like to

Water In Crime And Punishment
Dostoevsky is a very religious writer and found that calling after he was released from jail. Each and
every one of his characters and symbols in the novel Crime and Punishment will find their way and
their own calling with the use of religion to guide the way. He used his own personal beliefs and
teaching of symbolism to lead the characters in their personal progression. There are several instances
where nature is used as symbolism such as water. Water has represented multiple things in this novel
from rebirth to death whether it was revirginizing yourself or death by suicide or murder water makes
a prominent appearance in this novel. Another symbol that is used in this novel is a cross. The cross

While the extraordinary have the right to commit all sorts of crimes and in various ways to transgress
the law, because in point of fact they are extraordinary. This is the argument that Raskolnikov uses to
practically foil his homicidal plans. The idea of extraordinary men vs. ordinary men pushes him to
stop to pick up the opportunity to distinguish himself from the rest of the ordinary men and women of
Saint Petersburg. He must overstep his moral and ordinary means and cross the boundaries to see if he
is truly something extraordinary, but only history can tell that. The key to these extraordinary
expectations is that these crimes have to be fulfilled to reach this status. Unfortunately, in Raskolnikov
s case, this argument does not apply to the murder of the pawnbroker and Lizaveta. This argument
fails as Raskolnikov starts to explain why he murdered the pawnbroker to Sonia, he attempted to find
some sort of explanation or show some progress because of the murder. To have the murder be
justified, someone or something would have had to be sacrificed for the good of something or
someone else but in this case Raskolnikov has not grown in any way, shape, or form as he says he has
simply killed a louse, a useless, loathsome, harmless creature. As we believed before, he has failed to

The Outsiders Differences Between Book And Movie
The Outsiders
Books and movies have many similarities and differences, this is some similarities and differences in
The Outsiders. The similarities in the books are they all have the same lesson/theme. In the book and
movie the lesson or point is the split between gangs and how they also have the same problems on
both sides of town this makes the story more reliable than not to have the same theme. In the movie
and the book the themes are very apparent in the split between social groups which makes the story
have the same feeling as the book. In the movie in the book and movie Johnny is abused by his
parents. This is important because in the book Johnny is the shy character which is always in the lot or

Some of the more apparent differences in the book and movie is that in the book Johnny is a very shy

Johnny is beaten and is on the verge to kill yet in the movie the feeling of being abused is not here.
This leads me to believe that Johnny doesn t have the strength to kill Bob Sheldon. Another difference
is that in the book is that Johnny in the hospital was on a bed but in the movie Johnny is is on a high
tech bed which is built for his injury. This is important because in the movie the specialized bed gives
the feeling that he is in critical condition which makes the audience more emotional than the book

The Benefits of Keeping Music Education in Schools Since the financial recession in 2008, 80% of
schools in America have cut funding (Boyd). The first programs to go are that of music education.
Although some schools have no choice, this cut in one of the most important subjects where children
can learn is extremely detrimental to their learning and growth. Music and music education benefits
people through childhood, adolescence, and into adulthood and should therefore be kept in schools.
Even as infants and into early childhood, music is extremely beneficial to brain development. In early

However, the effects of this does more harm than good. From infancy to adolescence and beyond,
people seriously benefit from music education. The pros certainly outweigh the cons in this situation
and obviously music isn t merely some elective a person takes simply for an arts credit. Clearly,
people s lives are changed by music and its impact can reach so many and benefit all. So go ahead,
sign up for that beginner s choir class, or orchestra, or jazz band, you may just get something out of it.

Sexual Politics Around Teddy Girl Identity
Introduction
The Ted trend during the 1950s corresponds to a transitional time, when popular culture was
associated with the working class. This class related understanding of taste and propriety surrounding
the Teds, almost caused Teddy Girls to be written out of history because attention focused on working
class male aggression. Media representation classified teds as a male movement, which provided no
female role models to perpetuate the trend. The Sexual politics around Teddy Girl identity relates to
how popular culture can be used and created by women, but also how academic analysis approaches
this and subsequently situates women in relation to popular culture. Gender and class hierarchy can

Photographic evidence (Russell 1955, Mayne 1956) depicts female Teddy Girls, and Horn s research
into post war youth culture shows similar strong female presence: A mass observation diary from 1949
described a London dance hall [...] where there was an equal split between male and female (2010:
118). Although how widespread this was, is hard to say. The location and dates of the photos show that
the women were early to mid 1950s London East End Teds, but Russell s photographs were uncovered
in 2006, which demonstrates how lack of resources caused disproportionate attention to Teddy Boys,
further cementing the trend as male. The academic neglect of women in subcultures has been
addressed by Garber and McRobbie (2000). The invisibility of women in popular culture could
originate from Hoggart s Uses of Literacy (1957), which situates interest in music and socialising
outside home as a male pastime. Teddy Girls also attract less commentary because, unlike ted boys,
the method of transmitting identity (clothing) did not differ from middle class young women. The
violence and aggression of Teddy Boys in marking working class territory (Jefferson 2006: 68)
attracted attention, because it directly conflicted with middle class behaviour. So, females were
unnoticed and continued to use consumption of popular culture through clothing and music, to exert
cultural identity. Mungham s work focusses on the generational and class aspects within popular
culture and acknowledges

The Legal Regulation Of Printing Press Disrupted The...
Those of us who care about continuing the copyright tradition that regards public access to
information as the principal goal of the law are faced with the hard task of searching for and exploring
middle ground scenarios wherein author/publisher interests in receiving compensation can be balanced
with user/library interests in having access to information on fair and reasonable terms. Finding and
implementing such a balance is all the more challenging in view of the messianic fervor that the Green
Paper has engendered in the publishing industry. As we search for middle grounds, it may help to
realize new technologies have been disrupting existing equilibria for centuries, yet balanced solutions
have been found before. The printing press disrupted the equilibrium of its day. When the first legal
regulation of printing proved imbalanced, legislative adjustments achieved a public policy balance that
has lasted for a considerable period of time. While the history of copyright reveals many examples of
disruptions caused by new technology and the construction of new balanced equilibria, one relatively
recent instructive example is that of the cable television industry. When cable technology made it
possible to transmit television programming to cable subscribers, owners of programming copyrights
sought to stop this retransmission, saying it would be their ruination. Courts, however, found no
copyright infringement, saying that passive retransmissions of signals were not public

The Importance Of Behavior Modification
Punishment! Growing up that was always a terrible word to hear. Let s be honest, no levelheaded
person wants to be in the hot seat. Even today, as adults, being punished can make a person cringe.
However, as individuals grow up and mature into adulthood, it is easier to comprehend that being
punished can be a tool to help one succeed in life. Behavior modification is simply defined as the
alteration of behavioral patterns through the use of such learning techniques as biofeedback and
positive or negative reinforcement. Behavior modification involves both positive and negative

of person accountable. In this paper, let s decipher how punishment can be used to shape behavior to

At the same time, Brexit means that the UK might exit the EU Free Trade Area (FTA),which means
that most agreements, regulations and legal basis, the British economy relying on their to develop, will
be broken and economic volatility will occur. Accounting to the estimation of WTO (World Trade
Organization), these potential failure agreements occupy about 80% of UK s trade around the world.
For example, the UK need to try its best to get access to European single market, need to negotiate
with other 60 countries and regions for the EU trade agreement etc.. In addition, if Brexit succeed, the
right of Britain in the EU trade policy will be reduced, for example, the UK is difficult to take part in
the negotiations about Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) directly.
As from different industries, the strongest influence will happen in financial industry. London is an
international financial centre, because of the Brexit, its status around the world will decline gradually.
Currently, the UK accounts for more than 40% of global foreign exchange transactions, and lots of
European financial institutions set up their headquarters in London, therefore most European countries

Cardiac Substrate Metabolism Lab Report
Cardiac Substrate Metabolism: Cardiac tissue requires a continuous supply of oxygen and substrates
to rapidly produce energy that is largely used for maintaining contractile function. Cardiac myocytes
efficiently extract 65 70% of oxygen at rest and 80 85% during exertion from the blood [1]. During
normoxia when oxygen is not limiting cardiac myocytes derive 90% of their energy through oxidative

90% of acetyl CoA used in the Kreb s cycle is derived from β oxidation of fatty acids (FA) [4, 5]. The

High intracellular Ca2+ promotes myofibril hypercontracture following pH normalization [115], and
mPTP opening [114]. Ischemic depletion of ATP leads to the attenuation of the Na+/K+ ATPase in the
sarcolemma, leading to intracellular accumulation of Na+. High intracellular Na+ leads to a
subsequent disruption of Na+/Ca2+ antiporter in the sarcolemma [114], and Ca2+ accumulates in the
cytosol. The sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) normally sequesters intracellular Ca2+, but it becomes
either Ca2+ saturated [114], or SR sequestration is depressed due to ATP depletion [116]. An
important connection between calcium overload and ROS is the enzyme XO. XO is phosphorylated by
p38 kinase during hypoxia [117], after which it contributes to cytosolic generation of ROS. XO
indirectly reduces sarcoendoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ ATPase through the generation of ROS, which
leads to an intracellular accumulation of Ca2+ [109]. Its inhibition has been shown to reduce
intracellular Ca2+ concentrations

Miranda Warnings In Criminal Investigations
The first thing to determine is whether the type of questioning is part of a criminal or administrative
investigation (Doerner, 2012). Under Miranda warnings, an officer cannot be compelled to make a
statement or answer questions if they could incriminate themselves criminally. That officer would also
be in a custodial situation and was not free to go. If the officer chooses to make a statement and/or
answer questions, they can be used against the officer in criminal proceedings. It should be standard
practice for investigators to have at least one witness and present the Miranda warnings in writing
which state the following:
1. You have the right to remain silent.
2. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. ... Show more content on

If the officer is unclear about the investigation and type of questioning, the officer should directly ask
if he or she is being ordered to answer questions (Doerner, 2012). If the answer is yes, this forces your
agency to bring into play Garrity rights for the officer, which prevents anything the officer says from
being used against them in a future criminal proceeding (Doerner, 2012). If an officer chooses to not
answer questions, that can be used against them in an administrative proceeding impacting possible
discipline or termination from employment (Doerner, 2012).
To alleviate potential problems, many agencies have put into place legal safeguards or offer similar
grievance protections offered to civilian employees (Doerner, 2012). Furthermore, some states have
recognized the severity of legal ramifications that can occur and have passed legislation known as
Police Officer s Bill of Rights which controls disciplinary investigations (Doerner, 2012).

An Duong Vuong a king of Au Lac nation, who built Co Loa citadel, was helped by saint Kim Qui.

cell growth causing tumor formation. There are genes within the human genome that prevent this
uncontrolled growth from occurring. These genes are known as tumor suppression genes. They work
in a very specific way and are vital for proper growth. Though they fix errors, the tumor suppression
genes can malfunction or be malformed at times as well. When these errors occur, there can be serious
consequences.

Oncogenes are genes that work in the opposite way of tumor suppression genes. They cause
uncontrolled growth of cells and are activated when tumor suppression genes become inactive. An
example of this can be found in the mutation that causes Retinoblastoma. This is a condition that is
found within the eye which is caused by a malfunctioning tumor suppression gene. The tumor
suppression gene that malfunctions in retinoblastoma is the RB1 gene. This malfunction causes the
activation of oncogenes. This ultimately leads to cells in the retina growing uncontrollably and
causing tumors and cancer to develop in the eye.
Tumor Suppression Genes and Caner Recently, a lot of research is being done involving tumor
suppression genes and cancer. Scientists have been testing tumor suppression genes in gene therapy
experiments. In these experiments the tumor suppression genes are injected into cancer cells and
tumors. These genes are able to causes the cancer cell to die via apoptosis. Though it has yet to
become a treatment for cancer, the future looks promising using this method.

A Study On A Patient On The Room Out Of The Window
Another Patient Jumped Out Of the Window. I put down the newspaper and uneasily glanced at the
patient resting by my side for whose comfort I was responsible. It was the winter of my junior year,
my second week working in a state controlled Chinese hospital. On the first day, without going
through any training, I met Yuping, a sixty year old pancreas cancer victim and also a mother of six.
Estranged from her family due to high medical expenditure, none of her children had shown up in
days; I filled their roles. I fed her, took her out for some fresh air and tried to chat with her, but she
rarely talked. She spent her time staring at the plain ceiling and listening the anxious voices from the
hallway. Sitting at her bedside and thinking about that disturbing news headline, I began to experience
a sense of desperation. I was sickened by the emotional neglect that Yuping experienced, but no matter
how I tried, I could not reach into the heart of this suffering lady. This was the dark side of medicine
that I had never seen before. Right then, I questioned myself, Do I really want to be a doctor? At the
beginning of my college career, this was not even a question that I thought I would ask myself.
Fascinated by the endless possibility provided by programming skill and the beauty of numbers, I
majored in Computer Science and Math. And I greatly enjoy the intellectual challenges posed by both
fields. It was not until joining Dr. YYY s lab in the summer of my sophomore year,

Government Control In Aldous Huxley s Brave New World
Over the years, we have been enjoying the benefits of technology that it brings with it. But have we
ever thought how the same technology can be threatening if fallen in bad hands. One way this is
possible is by having government control over science. ¬¬The government can use technology to
monitor our activities and personal life. A simple democratic government can become an extreme and
abstract socialist by just using technology and making laws that we might find helpful, but indeed
control us. ¬The Matrix, Brave New World, and The Village, do a good job of prophesizing the
impacts of government control of technology on the society. The control of population can be the most
impacted by government. Huxley in his book Brave New World predict this behavior by including the
concept of test tube babies produced at the Central London Hatchery. In chapters 1 and 2, we get to
know that every person is decanted from the hatchery by scientific processes. There is no form of
natural birth, and in fact, it s illegal. The number and kind of humans produced is controlled by the
government who gives the hatchery orders based on the requirements. This is evident when the DHC
speaks the predestinators send in figure from the fertilizers and they are given the embryos they ask
for (10). This means that you will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Freedom of speech and expression, religion, love and hate, and all other kind of emotional attachment
will turn in to an unknown abstract idea of past where they are not valued anymore. The example of
Helmholtz Watson being in trouble because of his writing, and how John was answered to his
questions by Mond just provide and start a never ending argument. The conditioning against death and
making the children realize that death in fact is a good thing is not too far to think about from my
point of view. Key to the existence of this kind of world is who controls

  • 2. Rj Jordan Biography I can t believe it R.J told himself. At the University of Miami R.J had a unbelievable basketball season with 24.8 points per game, 8.5 assists per game, and 5.3 rebounds per game. He was a easy first round draft pick heading into the last game of the season. In the last game of the season his head coach (Coach falls) had asked him if he was feeling all right before the game and R.J said he felt fine even though we had a minor pain in his left leg. So when his name was called he ran out to play. When he got on the court the pain was getting worse and worse. With about 3 minutes to go in the game R.J ran to the corner three point line got the ball, jumped in the air to take his jump shot and then.... CRACK! He was on the ground and ... • 3. The Dangers Of Heroism In Robinson Crusoe Robinson Crusoe is a novel about a traveler which places the main character as a hero, and when it comes to heroism, the reader wants to believe that what he reads is real. Everybody is willing to forget its own reality when it comes to dive into an art, no matter if we are talking about literary work, painting or cinematographic masterpieces. We are willing to accept what we read as the truth and to forget every illogical element that could disturb us from our escape from life. This is what these works are made of: to alter reality. It is clearly impossible for a human being to survive this long on a desert island, especially if we follow every step of Robinson s journey. Growing plants and taming animals seems so easy, such as building our own house out of a wrecked ship that we reach by swimming. It is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We consider that we read a narrator and not an author. The author is always non existent when it comes to believe a book. So, when we read Robinson Crusoe, we read Robinson s words and not Defoe s words. But how do we feel about Defoe being a character in this rewriting? It is as painting him back in the picture and making him a character since the beginning. It feels as if we are watching a battle confronting Foe against Foe and making him the culprit of all the lying. And now that he is nothing but a character that ended up writing a book where he is his own narrator, who is the first narrator ever? We could actually thought about Suzan right away, since she is the main voice in Foe. But when we focus a little more, she is nothing more than a silenced woman, pushed outside by a canon of a male authorship . What could have been seen as a feminist book is taking a complete u turn: Suzan, who is first represented as a strong woman surviving on an island and who is ready for her story to be heard, ends up being manipulated by Foe who clearly makes her understand that he knows everything better than she ... • 4. Industrial Workers During The Gilded Age Similar to the farmers during the Gilded Age, industrial workers combatted poor working conditions, child labor, low wages, and long hours by forming labor unions and organizing strikes, ending as a massive failure. Early in the industrial era, there was no minimum wage, leaving it up to the factory owners to set the rate at which their workers were to be paid. Some owners did not pay their employees in cash but in company scrip which could be redeemed at the company store. For example, in Pullman, Illinois and in Hershey, Pennsylvania, the towns were owned by corporations, the Pullman Palace Car Company and the Hershey Company respectively, so their workers would receive vouchers to spend at the company store instead of hard cash. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Initially a fraternal organization providing social events, sporting competitions, and education for working men and their families, the Knights of Labor soon advocated for the creation of cooperatives where members would serve as worker owners who have input on the running of factories in hopes of making changes for the better of the working man. The Knights of Labor believed that the alarming development and aggression of aggregated wealth, which, unless checked, will inevitably lead to the pauperization and hopeless degradation of the toiling masses could only be stopped through the unification of labor . The Knights were open to all producers including skilled and unskilled workers and owners as well as women and African Americans. Bankers, doctors, liquor manufacturers, lawyers, and stockholders were excluded because of their supposed lack in productive contribution to society. The union advocated for a national eight hour workday, the expulsion of Asian workers, the prohibition of immigration from the Far East, and an end to child labor. • 5. The Golden Age of Detective Fiction Golden Age of detective fiction involved the genre apex that embodied different relevant elements that made a form appealing. It involves the collection of the created atmosphere in novels, the complex solved puzzle. The puzzle was solved by sheer with or with no modern forensic science help and the nostalgia that provoked the people to continue reading the novel. Even as authors like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Edgar Allan Poe gave birth to the modern story of detection, the Golden age authors like Agatha Christie, have failed to shift away from fashion. Different writers some with experience like Christie fell by the way side and out of favour. The setting of this era is seen as quintessentially English, and was expected to be somewhat predictable and formulaic. For example, the country house of English cruise ships, trains, and the sleepy English village were personified by Miss Marple of Agatha Christie (Rzepka, 2005). Different golden age writers sort for personal experience for the settings and the background of the plots. For example, Ngaio Marsh, a famous theatrical producer mostly utilized theater as one backdrop. The freeman Crofts Wills, who was a railway engineer was delighted and bored his audience different aspects that related to the railway. Throughout our day we like to take on more then one task at a time to finish something faster or to minimize time but research has shown that task switch can cost us time. Stephen Monsell (2003) conducted a study called Task Switching and concluded that switching between tasks can cause us time because the brain required loading time , which hinders the focus on the actual task. Loading time lets our brain focus completely on one task and when that loading time isn t completed it becomes hard to focus on that specific task; let alone execute it correctly. This causes us to take up time in between task switching because our brain tries to adjust to the task and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Its climax reached in 1789 when the ancien regime ended in France. The French Revolution was the most violent and by far the most universally significant revolution compared to the rest. The initial cause of the revolution was the social structure of the West. One social structure that was based on the holding of all land by fees that resulted in the relation of the king to vassal was called the feudal system that weakened step by step and had already disappeared in certain regions of Europe prior to the revolution. • 15. Labeling Theories And Labeling Theory Labeling theory focuses on the formal and informal application of stigmatization of deviant labels or social tags by society on some of its members. The process of labeling involves an engagement of Social groups [that] create deviance by making the rules whose infraction constitutes deviance, and by applying those rules to particular people and labeling them as outsiders. From this point of view deviance is not a quality of the act the person commits, but rather a consequence of the application by others of rules and sanctions to an offender. (Becker 1963). This theory treats such labels as both dependent and independent variables. Exclusively, it views labels as dependent or effect variable when it attempts to explain why certain behaviors are socially defined as wrong and certain individuals are socially selected and linked to such labels; ultimately, stigmatizing the person as deviant. In contrast, labeling theory also views labels as the independent factors or causes when it hypothesizes that discrediting labels cause continuation and escalation of the criminal or delinquent behavior. Labeling theory tries to explain the differential application of official stigmatizing labels. Labeling theory emerged as a perspective rather that a scientific theory (Cohn and Farrington 2012). After an initial enthusiasm in the 60 s and 70 s the theory followed disillusionment in the 90 s. It wasn t until the early 2000 s that scholars tried to revive the theory. The aim of ... The Sancho Panza syndrome (then) and the American dream (then and now) In the 15th century, the combination of the Sancho Panza Syndrome and the American dream fueled exploration at that time and created an incredibly enticing allure of the New World. Exploration and colonization were performed to attain a higher social status, more wealth, and fame. The result of this exploration led to the discovery of new lands and laid the foundation for new countries, but it came with a cost. The perils of the new land discovered were often incredibly treacherous and sometimes times even life threatening, however, the American dream never faded away. The American dream today holds very similar to the American dream in the 15th and 16th centuries despite the gap of 500 years. These dreams are very alike, because they both are comprised of individuals trying to achieve success in lands of opportunity, and although some were prosperous, others were not so fortunate. The American dream today is a household concept, which states that if a person works hard enough, he or she can make a better life for themselves. This concept inspires countless people every day to overcome adversity in attempt to better their life. On a personal level, I can relate to this dream vicariously through my father. My grandfather immigrated to the United States in 1923 from Bisaccia, Italy. The Procaccino family stood firmly on the belief that following the American dream was key to success, but despite how hard my great grandfather worked, the Great Depression drained the money out of the Procaccino household. John (my grandfather) yearned to become a doctor, but due to his family s financial situation, John enlisted in the US Army during World War II. After completing his duties, he earned an engineering degree and became a New York City engineer. John bore two sons named Angelo and John II. Angelo was a naturally gifted child with tremendous brainpower, but John was more of a rapscallion. Pursuing this further, the enactment of stricter gun control laws saves money. Ann Parrish also concludes how much money is spent on the consequence of guns; It has been calculated that the United States spends one hundred billion dollars each year to prevent or investigate gun violence or to treat its results. Technology, increase in efficiency due to technology, and thrill seeking behaviors, are all ideas that are portrayed by Bradbury. Technology is a common similarity that is brought up many times in both Fahrenheit s society and is often brought up in today s society. When Bradbury wrote this novel, he was concerned that television would drown out literature in the future as it became more popular. One might argue that the introduction of the internet and social media has led people to prefer cyber relationships over human relationships. An example of this in today s society could be the people on the subway train. We tend to refrain from communication with others and the best way to do that is by entering our virtual reality in our technology. But, this hasn t happened to an extent portrayed in the book. This leads me to believe that Johnny doesn t have the strength to kill Bob Sheldon. Another difference is that in the book is that Johnny in the hospital was on a bed but in the movie Johnny is is on a high tech bed which is built for his injury. • 31. Sexual Politics Around Teddy Girl Identity Introduction The Ted trend during the 1950s corresponds to a transitional time, when popular culture was associated with the working class. This class related understanding of taste and propriety surrounding the Teds, almost caused Teddy Girls to be written out of history because attention focused on working class male aggression. Media representation classified teds as a male movement, which provided no female role models to perpetuate the trend. The Sexual politics around Teddy Girl identity relates to how popular culture can be used and created by women, but also how academic analysis approaches this and subsequently situates women in relation to popular culture. Photographic evidence (Russell 1955, Mayne 1956) depicts female Teddy Girls, and Horn s research into post war youth culture shows similar strong female presence: A mass observation diary from 1949 described a London dance hall [...] where there was an equal split between male and female (2010: 118). Although how widespread this was, is hard to say. The location and dates of the photos show that the women were early to mid 1950s London East End Teds, but Russell s photographs were uncovered in 2006, which demonstrates how lack of resources caused disproportionate attention to Teddy Boys, further cementing the trend as male. The academic neglect of women in subcultures has been addressed by Garber and McRobbie (2000). The invisibility of women in popular culture could originate from Hoggart s Uses of Literacy (1957), which situates interest in music and socialising outside home as a male pastime. Teddy Girls also attract less commentary because, unlike ted boys, the method of transmitting identity (clothing) did not differ from middle class young women. The violence and aggression of Teddy Boys in marking working class territory (Jefferson 2006: 68) attracted attention, because it directly conflicted with middle class behaviour. So, females were unnoticed and continued to use consumption of popular culture through clothing and music, to exert cultural identity. • 33. The Legal Regulation Of Printing Press Disrupted The... Those of us who care about continuing the copyright tradition that regards public access to information as the principal goal of the law are faced with the hard task of searching for and exploring middle ground scenarios wherein author/publisher interests in receiving compensation can be balanced with user/library interests in having access to information on fair and reasonable terms. Finding and implementing such a balance is all the more challenging in view of the messianic fervor that the Green Paper has engendered in the publishing industry. As we search for middle grounds, it may help to realize new technologies have been disrupting existing equilibria for centuries, yet balanced solutions have been found before. The printing press disrupted the equilibrium of its day. When the first legal regulation of printing proved imbalanced, legislative adjustments achieved a public policy balance that has lasted for a considerable period of time. While the history of copyright reveals many examples of disruptions caused by new technology and the construction of new balanced equilibria, one relatively recent instructive example is that of the cable television industry. When cable technology made it possible to transmit television programming to cable subscribers, owners of programming copyrights sought to stop this retransmission, saying it would be their ruination. Courts, however, found no copyright infringement, saying that passive retransmissions of signals were not public ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

High intracellular Ca2+ promotes myofibril hypercontracture following pH normalization [115], and mPTP opening [114]. Ischemic depletion of ATP leads to the attenuation of the Na+/K+ ATPase in the sarcolemma, leading to intracellular accumulation of Na+. High intracellular Na+ leads to a subsequent disruption of Na+/Ca2+ antiporter in the sarcolemma [114], and Ca2+ accumulates in the cytosol. The sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) normally sequesters intracellular Ca2+, but it becomes either Ca2+ saturated [114], or SR sequestration is depressed due to ATP depletion [116]. An important connection between calcium overload and ROS is the enzyme XO. XO is phosphorylated by p38 kinase during hypoxia [117], after which it contributes to cytosolic generation of ROS. XO indirectly reduces sarcoendoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ ATPase through the generation of ROS, which leads to an intracellular accumulation of Ca2+ [109]. Its inhibition has been shown to reduce intracellular Ca2+ concentrations ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If the officer chooses to make a statement and/or answer questions, they can be used against the officer in criminal proceedings. If the officer is unclear about the investigation and type of questioning, the officer should directly ask if he or she is being ordered to answer questions (Doerner, 2012). I put down the newspaper and uneasily glanced at the patient resting by my side for whose comfort I was responsible. It was the winter of my junior year, my second week working in a state controlled Chinese hospital. On the first day, without going through any training, I met Yuping, a sixty year old pancreas cancer victim and also a mother of six. Estranged from her family due to high medical expenditure, none of her children had shown up in days; I filled their roles. I fed her, took her out for some fresh air and tried to chat with her, but she rarely talked. She spent her time staring at the plain ceiling and listening the anxious voices from the hallway. Sitting at her bedside and thinking about that disturbing news headline, I began to experience a sense of desperation. But have we ever thought how the same technology can be threatening if fallen in bad hands. One way this is possible is by having government control over science. ¬¬The government can use technology to monitor our activities and personal life. A simple democratic government can become an extreme and abstract socialist by just using technology and making laws that we might find helpful, but indeed control us. ¬The Matrix, Brave New World, and The Village, do a good job of prophesizing the impacts of government control of technology on the society. The control of population can be the most impacted by government. Huxley in his book Brave New World predict this behavior by including the concept of test tube babies produced at the Central London Hatchery. In chapters 1 and 2, we get to know that every person is decanted from the hatchery by scientific processes. There is no form of natural birth, and in fact, it s illegal. The number and kind of humans produced is controlled by the government who gives the hatchery orders based on the requirements.
