order for all the students to all easily see the screen as well as collaborate with one another for
the assignments and projects that are assigned in class. When I came into the classroom Mrs.
Makara was finishing up teaching a math lesson. She was using a document camera to project the
worksheet that students had in front of them on screen. She was also using a microphone while
talking to the class. Courtney later informed me that was because one of their students has a
hearing impairment so both Courtney and Mrs. Makara use the microphone when speaking to the
class. Mrs. Makara assigned a couple of math problems for the students to work with their table
groups to figure out. After each group figured out the answer to the problem Mrs. Makara asked
for one volunteer to come up and project their work on the overhead projector. The student showed

On October 28, 2015, in the capital court of the Harris County Criminal Courts at Law, Judge
Mark Kent Ellis, who was working on a murder case that happened in late 2013. My first
experience when I had entered the court building was through the security area where I had to take

As noted in the Small Wars Manual (SWM), Regular war never takes exactly the form of any of
its predecessors, so, even to a greater degree is each small war somewhat different from anything
that preceded it. The SMW was originally published in 1935 and written as a response to a call for
doctrine after the Philippine War and numerous small wars in Central and South America, the
banana wars. Military leadership recognized the importance of irregular warfareand unfortunately
due to World War II, switched their focus towards regular warfare. However, some would argue
that WWII ended with a tone of irregular warfare due to the development and use of the atomic
bomb. It was outside the paradigm of Napoleonic styled warfare with massive unit formations
facing each other on the plains of battle. Since a vast majority of wars over the last 100 years
have been fought using the irregular warfare construct it would be extremely important for the
US military to train and equip a sizable piece of the force to focus on fighting an irregular war.
However, this does not negate the need to train and equip forces to fight a regular war. Our

My most memorable literary experience isn t really one singular event, rather the reigniting of
interest in sitting still and reading a book. Growing up, in elementary and middle school, I loved
to read. I don t know if being an only child and an introvert fed that interest or birthed it, but it was
