The Interrelationships Between Hospitality And Wider...
P 1.1 Discuss the interrelationships between hospitality and wider travel and tourism businesses The
hospitality and leisure industry hug a variety of sectors and businesses across hotels, restaurants and
restaurants, travel and tourism, gaming, sport and leisure. The sector is reliant on the consumer
confidence and business sentiment and is facing rising pressure to deliver innovation, value and
quality. Hospitality is that business that helps people to feel welcome, relaxed and to enjoy
themselves. It is all about customer service and providing the best quality and experience possible for
the customers. (Discover Hospitality, 2012) The accommodation sector is about giving a warm
welcome and taking the time to give customers a great experience. This sector includes all businesses
that provide a place to sleep as part of their offer to the guests, including hotels, lodges, motels,
backpackers, holiday parks and serviced apartments. This sector works closely next to some other
sectors within the hospitality industry. People frequently enter this moving sector from the fast food
(quick service) outlets, restaurants, bars, cafes, pubs, catering or food services. Hotels were always
major providers of food services, entertainment (business and conference services), leisure and
sporting. (Cooper and Shepherd, 1998) Accommodation subsectors Hotels the most important

Essay Rheumatoid Arthritis
Rheumatoid Arthritis Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic syndrome that is characterized by
inflammation of the peripheral joints, but it may also involve the lungs, heart, blood vessels, and eyes.
The prevalence of this autoimmune disease is between 0.3% to 1.5% of the population in the United
States (Feinberg, pp 815). It affects women two to three times more often than men, and the onset of
RA is usually between 25 and 50 years of age, but it can occur at any age (Reed, pp 584). RA can be
diagnosed by establishing the presence of persistent joint pain, swelling in a symmetric distribution,
and prolonged morning stiffness. RA usually affects multiple joints, such as the hands, wrists, knees,

Some assessment tests that can be done to determine areas of occupational dysfunction important to
the person are the Canadian Occupational Performance (COPM) interview, the Robinson Bashall
Functional Assessment, the Stanford Health Assessment Questionnaire, the Assessment of Motor and
Process Skills (AMPS), manual muscle tests, the goniometer, and the dynamometer and pinch meter
(Hammond, pp 257). The Robinson Bashall Functional Assessment, as well as the Stanford Health
Assessment Questionnaire, is a functional assessment that allows the therapist to get a better
understanding of the practical capabilities of patients that are suffering from RA. The Assessment of
Motor and Process Skills allows an accurate estimate of ability to do IADLs based on performance of
three tasks. Treatment addresses the problems identified by evaluation of the patient, and often are
guided by the progression of the disease. Some specific goals to work on with an individual with RA
may be to maintain joint mobility, prevent joint deformity, maintain or increase strength and
functional ability, balancing activity with rest, develop problem solving skills to modify daily
activities at home and at work to protect joints and preserve energy, and especially promote
psychosocial adaptations to deal with their chronic disability. (Pisetsky, 2789). There are various drugs
to treat RA and can be divided into four different classes. These classes are nonsteroidal

Benefits Of Universal Health Care
Should healthcare be universal to all citizen of a nation? What is Universal health care? According to
the World Health organization (WHO) Universal health coverage (UHC) means that all people and
communities can, use the promotive, preventive, curative, rehabilitative and palliative health services
they need, of sufficient quality to be effective, while also ensuring that the use of these services does
not expose the user to financial hardship (Organization, 2013). Universal Health care should be
provided to all citizens because of the mass benefit we can receive. Universal Health Care which is
also known as universal care, universal coverage or universal health coverage is a term that is used to
address a health care system which provides health care and financial protection to every citizen of a
specific country (Formosa 2017) Universal health care is an important health care that every country
need to implement to its citizen because universal health care provides equal access to health care.
This health care system allows basic health care services for all citizens and it doesn t discriminate
against anyone. It helps those that aren t employed or have other difficulties get health care when they
need it the most. The greatest advantage of universal health care, every member of the society that
wants a health plan can be able to access health care no matter his social status. Since no single human

The Principles Of A Reagan Conservative, Dr. Paul Kengor
In his 2014 book 11 Principles of a Reagan Conservative, Dr. Paul Kengor laid out the foundational
beliefs of the Reagan presidency. Of importance to the relevance of Reagan and the current political
climate are the principles related to social conservatism: faith, family, and the sanctity and dignity of
human life.(1) Those principles formed one leg of Reagan s three legged philosophy of conservatism.
Many of the same principles form the core of the current conservative wing of the Republican Party,
but demographics within the United States have changed the relevancy of the principles.
Understanding the political climate and demographics of the 1970s and 1980s in relationship to social
conservatism and projecting the demographics and political climate of the 2018 mid term election will
determine the efficacy of the message of social conservatism for the current electorate. 107 lines
Economically the 1970s proved to be a turbulent time for the United States. The U.S had been
involved in a long and unpopular war in Vietnam since 1965. In 1968, Richard Nixon defeated
Democratic Vice President Hubert Humphrey in one of the closest elections in U.S. history (REF).
Nixon eventually achieved a peace agreement to end U.S. involvement in Vietnam, but domestically,
his policies damaged the economy. In 1971, Nixon imposed wage and price controls in an attempt to
curb inflation, ended the U.S. s last ties to the gold standard, effectively devalued the dollar, and

Reflection About Living With God
The book is about living with God, instead of living over, under, for, or from him. It talks about how
important it is to be aware of how we think about God and our relationship with him. I appreciate this
book a lot because the day I accepted Christ was when I finally understood that everything he did
wasn t to get me a get out of hell free card, it was to be able to spend the rest of this life drawing me
closer to him and to spend eternity with him. In that regard, the first part of the book was about what I
expected, but as I was surprised, encouraged, and challenged as I got further into the book.
The first point that stood out to me was the way we assign the way we value effectiveness to God; we
assume that he gauges success the same way we do. I love the way the author presented the story of
Moses striking the rock in the light of him doing only what he knew had worked in the past. He
followed a formula; and yes, he was effective, but he was not faithful or obedient. It is possible to
succeed without being in relationship with God. Along the same lines, one of the most helpful ways I
ve heard this concept presented is from Moses initial reaction with God; God finding Moses and
arguing back and forth with him while Moses makes excuse after excuse about everything he can t do.
God is not a God of efficiency. What would have been efficient is snapping his fingers and freeing all
the Israelite slaves from their captors in Egypt. But he chose to work through Moses;

William Chaucer and His Views on the Clergy Essay
In today s society, masses of people are moving away from Christianity, due to the dark past of the
church. We cannot follow those who choose the path of corruption, for fear that we face a similar fate.
Christianity is a pillar in our world that holds up many people, and should it fall, those who are
supported by it will follow. History is filled with men such as John Wycliff who have fought to shed
light on cleric corruption, through works such as A Treatise of John Wycliff Against the Order of the
Friars, and later, Geoffrey Chaucer s Canterbury Tales. Wycliff s speech in 1382 is the first exposition
of the clergy s wrongdoing, when he accuses the friars of stealing men s children and making our land
lawless . A short 5 years ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He also castrated himself for a prettier voice to bring forward more money. This shows that he was not
singing for the church but for his own personal gain. The author repeats the word fake when he says
(706 707) his wallet lay before him on his lap brim full of pardons come from rome all hot and (714
715) for in his trunk he had a pillow case which he asserted was our lady veil . The veil was actually
that of a woman. The description of the pardoner s actions personify his fake personality. Chaucer
later tells of a sinful church follower that the people call The Wife of Bath . She s earned this name by
showing up at the church door to marry a new man on several occasions, and having a promiscuous
love life behind closed doors. Chaucer repeats the use of sarcasm by using the word worthy in A
worthy woman form beside bath city (455) and A worthy woman all her life. (469); by doing this
Chaucer is noting that shes not a worthy woman, and this is what one would suspect of the common
person when the most holy and pure teachers such as the friar are wandering through dark and sinful
times. The Wife of Bath is an epitome of what was thought of the common man in 14th century
Europe. The shining light in the darkness was the parson, who was the only man who lived by moral
standards, led by example, and sought no monetary gain from his teachings. Chaucer points out the
parson s humility by revealing giving to

The Importance Of Minority Rights
All human beings are entitled to equality and justice through our legal system and the state must
accommodate to the rights of the minority groups. Some minority rights seem to conflict with liberal
rights, for an example forcing women to stay home. (Freedman, 30 October 2017). In this essay, I will
argue that the state should not endorse rights that infringes with the equality of the rights of a minority,
therefore inhibiting the state s ability to treat all of its citizens with equal concern and respect. Bill 62
and African Americans are two examples of the majority not being tolerant of the minorities rights.
Achieving equality for all citizens in a society requires granting special rights to minorities in a liberal
state. Liberal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They also believe that certain parts of the world practice the religion minorities are practicing and they
can practice there. They are not open to viewing the religion or rights of minority groups. A state ran
by a majority could very easily use power they don t have against the minority rights. An example of
the government misusing their power is the history of African American being used involuntarily as
slaves and prevented from integrating into the institutions of the majority culture through racial
segregation (Kymlicka 360). Africa American may have the greatest injustices of all the ethnocultural
groups, mainly because of their historical mistreatment by the majority. Denial of the rights of certain
minority groups cause conflict between groups and the rights of the minorities. Equality within a
society means the delivering of minority rights. Multiculturalism in fact fails because everyone does
not share a common set of beliefs and interest as the rest of the citizens. Since a society already has an
official language and culture, the state still isn t entitled to force this on the citizens. It is up to them
which culture they choose to practice. Over the past years, the difficulty for the state to given
minorities rights have decreased in the sense that there are awareness groups to make the minority
groups more

comprehended what was happening. I heard an easy voice in the distance, Are you all right? It was the
paramedics talking to little sisters. I tried to yell, but the medics walked up to me and patted me up,
and told me to go get my sisters and follow her to the ambulance. I ran crying and breathing harshly
and complaining that they wanted my mom. I felt like crying but I could not. I had to keep my sisters,
who are still 4 years old calm. We went to the ambulance and waited. Then the police officer walked
up to us and asked us some question. I asked him if, I could look for my dad but he handed me. My
dad s phone and my mom s necklace. He told me that the paramedics took them to the hospital. The
police officer thanked us and climbed out the ambulance. The medic closed the door and drove us to
the hospital. As I entered the building, the nurse tapped my shoulder excuse me are those your

this analysis, tipping point refers to the dilemma Greece faces. What are some of the questions the
Greek crisis in the Eurozone may raise? How did the Greek sovereign debt crisis begin? How will the
Greek crisis evolve? How will the crisis influence the future of European Union member states as well
as the Continent as a whole? How should citizens in European countries understand the crisis? My

1.3 The Present Debt Crisis The Past 5 Years (Greece in the Eurozone)
Greece has suffered through a vicious circle of recession over the past five years. The Greek economy
experienced a series of successive setbacks during this period. Since 2010, the Greek economy
contracted more than 20%. The investment level decreased by 86 % as compared to 2008 (IMF,
2013b). The continuous drop in GDP, which in 2011 surpassed the historical maximum for the entire
postwar period, led to a rapid decline in domestic demand. Unemployment more than doubled within
the first three years of austerity reaching 25.4% in August 2012. More than half the population
between 15 24 years of age or 57%, is unemployed (Eurostat, 2012), homelessness increased by 25%
from 2009 to 2011 as suicide rates hit record levels, increasing 25% from 2009 2010 and an additional
40% from 2010 2011 (Reynolds, 2015). In early 2014, unemployment exceeded 28%; youth
unemployment rose to 63%, which led young, educated people to emigrate in large numbers (Visvizi,
2014). Greece s uncertain future remains a troubling predicament on the periphery of the European
Union.

Sandro Boticelli Essay
Sandro Boticelli Sandro Botticelli, (1445 1510) was a famous Renaissance arit. His real name was
Alessandro di Mariano Filipepi; his nickname came from Botticello ( little barrel ), which was either
the nickname of his older brother or the name of the goldsmith who first taught him.
Botticelli was born in Florence to the tanner Marianno di Vanni and his wife in a small place called
Smeralda which is now Borgo Ognissanti No. 28 in Florence. He was one of eight children born to his
parents, Botticelli being the youngest. In 1458 his father rented a small country villa in Careggi from
the powerful Rucellai family, which was a place near Florence where the family moved into the house
called the Via della Vigna Nuova.

Botticelli also painted portraits of people such a lady, Smeralda Brandini(1470 75) and a man,
Giuliano de Medici(1476 78). Later on in his painting career, he showed different art to his other
paintings, showing the poor side of his personality. This can be shown in his painting called Nativity ,
as the painting is sharply defined and with cold colours.
Botticelli s style of painting had influenced many people and many artists who then became famous,
also changing the way people look at art. For example, Lippi, Filippino (1457 1504) was an Italian

Lifetime Show Analysis
Back in the summer of 2015, I was directed to a new Lifetime show called UnREAL, and because one
of my favorite actors, Brennan Elliott, was going to be on it, I knew I had to be an active member of
the audience. Although I was aware that I was leaping out of my comfort zone to watch this show, I
didn t plan on becoming quite so invested in the characters and the storyline that I anticipated season
two (and soon, season three) with great delectation. What began as a sort of grandstand for Host
Graham evolved into so much more. In the role of the devious, manipulative Chet, I was introduced to
the stupendous work of Craig Bierko. Due to our busy schedules, we only recently had the opportunity

While many actors may often wonder if their fans will find their story entertaining, I rarely find a tale
that doesn t resonate with the fans, myself included, to some degree. And in the case of Craig, that is
precisely the case. I never would have pegged him as a musical sort of person (I am still in the early
stages of my exploration of the works of this multi talented guy), and there is no doubt from the
detailing of his roles, his work and his outlook on his life and career that he is humble, pragmatic and
benevolent. He doesn t see himself as a superstar, and in that case, he appears to be the antithesis of
this resplendently disreputable character he plays on UnREAL. I am always convinced that shows that
receive such wide acclaim must have a core group of cast and crew that dispose of their egos, labor
without complaint, and become a sort of extended family. Viewers constantly connect with shows in
which the people portraying the roles are genuine and down to earth, and it would appear that Craig is
all that and more. His explantion of how he approaches his character was a delcious description for me
to savor, and it is clear that he knows what his role is within the production, and he does it darn well! I
would invite everyone to check out Craig at all the links below, and even if UnREAL is not your cup

A Brief Note On Pedestrian Detection Of Surveillance
Pedestrian Detection in Surveillance
Abstract
Pedestrian detection is fragmented as there are numerous algorithms used in different research. This
research aims to provide an overview to understand the current state of pedestrian detection as well as
analyse the challenges, effectiveness, accuracy and cost benefit of different approaches used in
surveillance and how current challenges are being tackled.
Introduction
Pedestrian detection is a key problem in computer vision. There are a number of ways that makes it
difficult to achieve without faults due to the differences in colour, motion, orientation and poses of
individual human beings but also segregation of the background which may or may not be cluttered as
well as other moving objects that just might get in the way.
Even though it is a difficult matter it is still a major research areas as there a great implications of
perfecting the system. Key application could include in the field of surveillance, robotics as well as a
tool in vehicular safety. It can also be used in a commercial apects as businesses would be able to
count the number of pedestrians creating a flow statistics for optimizing their business. For it to be
effective it should be able to handle emerging complex scenarios such as speed of detection for
vehicles to enable them to avoid or stop immediately and the accuracy in detecting pedestrian through
a crowd for businesses. These applications can also then be forwarded to surveillance as factors

Darvocet, Darvon And Propoxyphene Products Liability Litig
The Plaintiff (Rector) likely has a strong argument that she should survive summary judgment because
there is a question of material fact on product identification. Courts have consistently held that a brand
name drug manufacturer cannot be held liable for injuries caused by a generic form of the drug they
produce. In re Darvocet, Darvon, and Propoxyphene Products Liability Litig., 756 F.3d 917, 940 (6th
Cir. 2014). However, if plaintiffs claim they took the brand name drug itself, then courts have tended
to apply a low standard for product identification. Courts have been reluctant to grant summary
judgment on product identification even when the plaintiff has minimal evidence that they took the
brand name drug. In several cases, just the plaintiff s testimony about the brand of the drug she took
was sufficient to create a question of material fact. Furthermore, courts have held defendants to a high
standard on counter evidence and have generally required nearly conclusive records to discount a
plaintiff s evidence. However, Pfizer can point to several cases that favorably discuss brand names and
their generic uses, so Pfizer does have arguments it can make to push for summary judgment. This ...

As previously mentioned in the section about similar cases, courts have found that a brand name, by
itself, can be evidence of product identification. In Michael v. Wyeth, the defendants raised the
argument that brand names are suspect because they can be used to refer to generic products. No.
CIV.A. 2:04 0435, 2011 WL 2011485, at *2 (S.D.W. Va. May 23, 2011). The defendants compared the
situation to generic names such as kleenex or xerox that will often refer to a wide variety of products
besides the brand products. Id. But the Court rejected this argument, finding that there was no
evidence suggesting that the plaintiff or doctors were making that mistake.

Alfred Hitchcock s Rear Window
In any neighbourhood, a sense of community is something that is quite often present. In fact, in Alfred
Hitchcock s thriller Rear Window, viewers witness a man progressively gaining a deep comprehension
of his neighbours through his deeply rooted voyeuristic desires to delve into their lives. In its entirety,
the film demonstrates through its protagonist how this neighbourhood is too dispassionate and
unconcerned to classify as a community. However, Hitchcock s portrayal of how commonalities
between individuals can assist in establishing new relationships, does suggest that on a minute scale,
some individuals are more than just people who live closely together . Music, more often than not, is a
form of art that intends to bring individuals ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Songwriter s party scene patently demonstrates how music has the capability to make individuals
more sociable through the use of a mid shot to establish the setting of the party. Through his
application of a mid shot, Hitchcock is able to display to viewers a fairly congested room filled with
exuberant individuals all positioned around the piano that the songwriter is playing, therefore
suggesting that the music is what is providing them with the joy that they are very clearly expressing.
Moreover, the mise en scène of the dimly lit apartment occupied by numerous intoxicated individuals
all seemingly enjoying the sound of music together, creates a lively ambiance and further depicts the
party as an entertaining occasion where individuals are able to become better acquainted. Thus the
primary purpose of the Songwriter s party scene is to establish the idea that a commonality between
two or more people, which in this case is the shared interest of music, can be of assistance when
forming neighbourly relationships. Hitchcock s concept regarding how shared commonalities can
allow for the establishment of relationships is in fact quite a significant idea, as it is one that becomes
recurring,

Benefits Of A Solid Waste
Beginning on October 20, I started carefully assessing my daily routine and documenting my activities
in regards to my production of solid waste, carbon emissions, and use of fresh water. During those two
weeks, I collected data and examined how I could help reduce my overall ecological footprint and use
of environmental resources through propositions, research, and online calculations.
Solid Waste
Current Routine:
During the week, I begin my day by walking to Mean Greens cafeteria for breakfast. I am provided
with the dishes for my meal, which are all reusable and therefore I do not contribute any waste in
regards to those. I do however use multiple napkins during my meals. Often, I threw away all the
napkins I took, including the ones I did not use. I only used two of the five napkins I got every meal. I
also left food scraps on my plate, which were thrown away and contributed to compost solid waste. I
also go to Mean Greens cafeteria for lunch and dinner and have similar habits when it comes to how
much solid waste I produce during those meals. On average during one week I throw out 30 napkins
and an estimate of two pounds of food. Under circumstances where I cannot make it to the cafeteria to
eat and I need quick and easy access to food, I get fries from Chik Fil A. This usually happens twice a
week on Tuesdays and Thursdays before my environmental science class. I get two large fries in a to
go bag, which are all thrown away after I am done eating. I drink three

Brain Symbolism
The symbolism of the heart being related to the brain I feel is very unlikely. Although studies have
shown that in recent research of the heart they have found little details on how they have discovered
little neutrons and protons and nerve cells that can relate to the brain making it more believable that
the heart is much more than just another organ. The heart does not only just pump blood but they also
think the heart can transplant memories from the donor s past experiences. The symbolism of the heart
is a tricky thing to describe and relate to the brain as the human body is more complex than we could
have ever thought. When it comes down to the emotions, feelings, and memories people say they have
experienced is where the controversy

Parental Leave At The United States Essay
III. Parental Leave in the United States
The lack of a paid parental leave law in the country does not necessarily mean that it is absent in the
U.S. labor market. Some generous and more progressive companies do recognize the importance of
the leave to employees and do offer it. According to the Employee Benefits Survey of 2015, 21% of
employers nationally offer some paid maternity leave while 17% offer some paid paternity/adoption
leave. However, about a fifth don t have any kind of protected maternity, paternity, or adoptive leave.
(Ray, 8; Time, n. pag.)
An article online from Time Inc. Network lists some U.S. companies that do offer paid parental leave.
Most of these companies use the leave to attract talented employees and most are in the information
and/or technology industry. The list include:
Adobe 26 weeks of paid maternity leave and 16 weeks of paid leave for primary caregivers
Amazon 20 weeks of paid maternity leave, 2 of which can be taken before the birth of the child, and 6
weeks of paid paternal and adoptive parents leave
Apple 18 weeks of paid maternity leave, 4 of which can be taken before the birth of the child, and 6
weeks of paid paternal and adoptive parents leave
Facebook 16 weeks of parental leave (includes maternity, paternity, and adoption), and has a
breastfeeding room in the office complex

caregivers, and up to 7 weeks for non primary

The Potential for Subversion Denied in Sacre de Printemps
Pina Bausch s Sacre de Printemps is a performance that communicates the story of a ritual and human
sacrifice. The performance begins with a large group of women dancing around a red cloth. Their
movements are frantic, sharp, and aggressive and they both move in unison and break off into canon.
Later on in the piece, a group of men join the women and they dance in separate groups, come
together and form circles, and finally break off into pairs. When the men enter the performance, a
ritual begins that involves the selection of one female for sacrificial purposes. The men select this
woman, she changes into a red dress, and all the members of the cast look on as she dances until she
falls to the ground dead. Throughout the piece, there are instances of subversion and instances of
conformity to traditional gender roles in dance. The performance as a whole at times challenges
traditional expectations of women and at others conforms to them. The movement and costumes
convey initial potential for the subversion of male dominance that ends up confirming and upholding
traditional roles and expectations of gender in dance. The dancers movements throughout the
performance seem to challenge and uphold gender binaries at the same time. At the beginning, when
only female dancers are present their movements are agentive, strong, quick, and athletic
characteristics not usually allowed for female dancers. Their movements are similar to the wild and
physical movement of Louise

Technology And The Post Office
Mail as Technology
Mail is a form of technology that has stood the test of time despite all of the changes technology has
experienced in communication. This technology has endured despite email, social media, financial
loss and the enduring threat of privatization. The U.S. Post Office has remained due to one important
philosophy which is that every person in the United States no matter who, no matter where has the
right to equal access to secure, efficient, and affordable mail service. (Potter, 2007). This government
agency has been around for more than 240 years and remains a strong institution that society is
dependent on for communication. (USPS, 2007).

Most other correspondence ran between the colonists and England, the Netherlands, or Sweden. The
flow of mail needed a more accurate system so the General Court of Massachusetts appointed Richard
Fairbanks tavern in Boston as the first repository for mail brought from or sent overseas. The need for
communication began to grow (USPS, 2007).
Beginnings
The first official post office emerged in the year 1683 in Pennsylvania. In the south, communication
was largely dependent on slaves who transported messages through plantations. In 1692, Thomas
Neale appointed Governor Andrew Hamilton as his deputy postmaster general. Although this position
was filled by many, it was Benjamin Franklin who made revolutionary changes to the post office. He
brought new surveys, new milestones on principle roads as well as newer and shorter routes. As a
result, the organization turned its first profit in 1760 (USPS, 2007). This improvement was one of
many that would take place within the Postal Service.
Mail in this time period, ran into issues of privacy when Goddard from the Crown s service warned
Letters are liable to be stopped opened by ministerial mandates, their Contents construed into
treasonable Conspiracies; and News Papers, those necessary and important vehicles, especially in
Times of public Danger, may be rendered of little avail for want of Circulation. (Goddard, 1775).

Malvolio Dramatic Irony
Shakespeare presents Malvolio as behaving strangely and foolishly in act 3,scene 4 through his use of
dramatic irony, sexual jokes and visual comedy.
Shakespeare uses dramatic irony through this extract as the audience knows that Maria, Sir Andrew
and Sir Toby wrote the letter (supposedly from Olivia) to Malvolio but Malvolio s self love and
extreme self delusion make Malvolio completely ignorant to the trick.
Malvolio is behaving very strangely as he is usually very grave and wears all black. However, in this
seen he is so awoken by the idea that Olivia may grant him an advancement in social class that he
behaves like an utter fool, forgetting all his dignity, decency and good order. His appearance in yellow
and cross gartered stockings is utterly inappropriate especially as Olivia hates the colour yellow. This
makes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This line shows how Malvolio thinks he is much above Maria s social status as he considers her a
peasant and himself a noble man. This compels the audience o enjoy witnessing the downfall of the
supposed villain who has overstepped the bounds of his social position and attempted to destroy the
festive spirit of the foil characters: Maria, Sir Andrew and Sir Toby.
Shakespeare has portrayed Malvolio as a self absorbed fool to mock the Puritans, who hate the theatre
and therefore Shakespeare. As most of Shakespeare s audience would be anti Puritan as they visit the
theatre, this scene will allow them to laugh at there selfish and usually stern ways, with no room to
sympathise with Malvolio.
Although this level of punishment, such as in Act 5, Scene 2 when he is locked in a dark room, may be
perceived as excessive by modern audiences as Puritanism isn t prominent in the modern day.
Malvolio s Puritan status and harsh mockery of him would have made the original audience laugh and

The Effect of pH and Temperature on the Efficiency of Catalase
Abstract: In order to determine how pH and temperature affect the liver enzyme catalase, an
experiment was conducted. Catalase breaks apart hydrogen peroxide producing water and oxygen.
Using an O2 sensor to measure how much additional oxygen is added into a sealed Nalgene bottle, we
could determine the enzymes effectiveness. Three variations of temperature were tested: cold, hot and
room temperature. This was done by taking test tubes with the three different samples and placing
them in a Nalgene Bottle. It was determined that the enzyme is most effective when at room
temperature although still functions when it is chilled. The heated sample was drastically less
effective. The pH was tested by adding acid (HCl), base () and neutral (water) to the enzyme. When
the enzyme samples were tested using the hydrogen peroxide and O2 sensor test it was determined

Its function is the speed up the decomposition of Hydrogen peroxide within cells. This is an important
function within living animals because it becomes a poisonous substance. Catalase breaks apart
hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen through enzyme substrate complexes. (Tully) The shape of
catalase is complex with various alpha helices and beta sheets. (Corsini) This shape is very important
to its function and variation in temperature and pH can denature the enzyme.
Hypothesis:
Part I: Testing the Effect of Heat If the enzyme temperature is decreased then it will not decompose
hydrogen peroxide because it normally functions at a higher body temperature.
Part II: Testing the Effect of pH If the enzyme pH is increased than it will not decompose because it
will be much more acidic than the more neutral environment it functions in.

The Theory Of The Scientific Method
If we understand how researchers separate fact from fiction perhaps we too can avoid some of the pit
falls of faulty reasoning and unwarranted conclusions in our everyday lives (Zimbardo, 2001). I
believe this is why scientists including psychologists think more logically rather than emotionally.
They need and/or want proof of a phenomenon and so they go looking for that proof. Until they find
an answer concerning that particular phenomenon, they will most likely not stop conducing
experiments. This is how hypotheses are formed. Someone asks a question and then figures out the
best way to get the answer to that question. It is a remarkable process. The part of that process that I
will be talking about is the hypothesis. To put it simply, a hypothesis is an educated guess; better yet, it
is a prediction. These predictions are drawn by logic and can be tested. Formulating a hypothesis is the
second step in the scientific method. If more and more hypotheses related to a theory turn out to be
true, the theory gains in credibility (King, pg. 27). After you have formed a hypotheses, you will need
to test your predication. Depending on what the hypotheses is concerning, you could test it in a case
study, survey, or even a laboratory experiment. I hypothesized that more men, rather than women,
would say that having an affair was okay in certain circumstances. I told my participants that the only
thing they were to consider an affair was sexual intercourse only. For

Leadership Based On Strengths By Tom Rath
Leadership Based on Strengths StrengthsFinder 2.0, written by Tom Rath, was a book I chose for a
purpose. Rath mentions that when we live within our shortcomings/ our weaknesses, we tend to live in
this world unhappy and unmotivated (Rath, 2007). In this paper, I will discuss some background and
major topics presented in his book. I will describe how his topics can be useful in nursing practice, as
well as my own practice. I will end this paper with a look into how his book helped me to grow in my
own soon to be leadership role. Background Tom Rath began working with a group of scientists in
1998 to start a conversation about our strengths (Rath, 2007). A 40 year study, led by Donald O.
Clifton, helped to create a language of common talents, and in 2001, included this assessment into
their bestselling management book Now, Discover Your Strengths (Rath, 2007). During their study,
they found out that people who do have the opportunity to focus on their strengths every day are six
times as likely to be engaged in their jobs and more than three times as likely to report having an
excellent quality of life in general (Rath, 2007, pg. iii). A major problem with this was a majority of
people were either unsure of or unable to explain their strengths (Rath, 2007). When developing
StrengthFinder 2.0, the ultimate goal was to build upon your true strengths which take practice and
hard work (Rath, 2007). Applying to Nursing Practice When I think about applying this idea to

There is already a tremendous amount of Americans who converted themselves into the religion alone.

Rat Overpopulation Research Paper
In many parts of the world, rats have invaded in and out of people s homes. Rat infestation has been a
problem for generation after generation. Rat overpopulation is a result of various causes and they can
cause a multitude of problems for humans. When searching for a solution to the overpopulation of
rats, one must first consider the origins of the problem, the dangers it is causing, and how to eradicate
them.
To begin, one major subject you should evaluate is the origin of the problem, how the rodent
infestation started. Natural disasters, lack and excess amounts of food, and inclement weather are all
reasons the rats have invaded cities everywhere. In source #1, it states, Recent cold weather and
flooding is believed to have led the disease carrying rodents to shelter indoors. This explains how the
weather conditions have brought the rats seeking indoor shelters, which means they ve been running
straight into people s homes. Also, it states in source #3, And with the regrowth of vegetation, the rats
and mice have had an ample food source and are reproducing quickly. This exemplifies how the
rodents have had easy food sources from the vegetation growing back, which then results in them

The Strategies Of Finding A Mate
Lauren Soentgen Approach: 1, Source: Buss, 1994
In his article, The Strategies of Finding a Mate, David M. Buss discusses the act of finding a mate and
the characteristics that people are drawn to in a mate. He begins the article with a brief look at the
history of mating and the theories that have previously been proposed. In particular he addressed
Charles Darwin s theory of sexual evolution and belief in preferential mate choice. Buss proposes that
there are three components to human mating. He states that human mating is inherently strategic...
mating strategies are context dependent... [and that] men and women have faced different mating
problems over the course of human evolution and, as a consequence, have evolved different strategies
(Buss, 1994, p. 241). He uses this theory to propose nine different hypotheses to prove that despite
humans being varied and different from each other, all humans look for similar characteristics when
trying to find a mate (Buss, 1994). To investigate his research hypotheses, Buss collected data from
two sources. His first source was college students in the United States. For his second source, Buss
(1994) worked with 50 other scientists in order to survey over 10,000 men and women from around
the world. This was his greatest strength in the article. He had collected so much research that it made
the data seem credible, and the fact that the participants came from diverse backgrounds means it is a

Credit Risk
Define:
Credit risk is defined by JPM as the risk of loss arising from the default of a customer, client or
counterparty (2014 annual report, pg. 110) . This fairly broad definition encompasses large corporate
clients, institutional clients and individual consumers. In addition, JPM identified that the primary
drivers of credit risk arise from (1) residential real estate, (2) credit card, (3) auto loans, (4) business
banking and (5) student lending businesses.
In order to further define the characteristics of credit risk, the firm uses methodologies such as (1) a
scored exposure rating, and (2) a risk exposure rating to estimate the likelihood of counterparty
default.
Scored Exposure
As securities are underwritten and issued to customers, they are transferred or essentially securitized
into a portfolio. Scored exposure is used a term that encompasses the scored portfolio held in
consumer and community banking (CCB). This portfolio predominantly includes residential real
estate loans, credit card loans, certain auto and business banking loans and student loans (i.e., the
loans issued by consumer bank Chase, as acquired by investment bank JPM following the alleviation
of the Glass Steagall Act). According to JPM, credit losses on their CCB loans are measured based on
statistical analysis of credit losses over discrete periods of time and estimated using portfolio
modeling, credit scoring, credit scores, and other risk factors .

Now that you know the kind of prisoners that were sent to Alcatraz,
II. I will discuss life on the island and as an inmate in the prison.
A. Each prisoner received a copy of the Rules and Regulations for the Government... Correctional

visitors had to be earned, and mail privileges were limited. They each held jobs within the prison in

C. Contrary to what the movies portray, there were no experiments made on the prisoners, and the
inmates that were transferred there were already twisted and disturbed; Alcatraz didn t turn them into

Essay Rheumatoid Arthritis Rheumatoid Arthritis Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic syndrome that is characterized by inflammation of the peripheral joints, but it may also involve the lungs, heart, blood vessels, and eyes. The prevalence of this autoimmune disease is between 0.3% to 1.5% of the population in the United States (Feinberg, pp 815). It affects women two to three times more often than men, and the onset of RA is usually between 25 and 50 years of age, but it can occur at any age (Reed, pp 584). Treatment addresses the problems identified by evaluation of the patient, and often are guided by the progression of the disease. Some specific goals to work on with an individual with RA may be to maintain joint mobility, prevent joint deformity, maintain or increase strength and functional ability, balancing activity with rest, develop problem solving skills to modify daily activities at home and at work to protect joints and preserve energy, and especially promote psychosocial adaptations to deal with their chronic disability. • 5. The Principles Of A Reagan Conservative, Dr. Paul Kengor In his 2014 book 11 Principles of a Reagan Conservative, Dr. Paul Kengor laid out the foundational beliefs of the Reagan presidency. Of importance to the relevance of Reagan and the current political climate are the principles related to social conservatism: faith, family, and the sanctity and dignity of human life.(1) Those principles formed one leg of Reagan s three legged philosophy of conservatism. Many of the same principles form the core of the current conservative wing of the Republican Party, but demographics within the United States have changed the relevancy of the principles. Understanding the political climate and demographics of the 1970s and 1980s in relationship to social conservatism and projecting the demographics and political climate of the 2018 mid term election will determine the efficacy of the message of social conservatism for the current electorate. 107 lines Economically the 1970s proved to be a turbulent time for the United States. The U.S had been involved in a long and unpopular war in Vietnam since 1965. In 1968, Richard Nixon defeated Democratic Vice President Hubert Humphrey in one of the closest elections in U.S. history (REF). Nixon eventually achieved a peace agreement to end U.S. involvement in Vietnam, but domestically, his policies damaged the economy. In 1971, Nixon imposed wage and price controls in an attempt to curb inflation, ended the U.S. s last ties to the gold standard, effectively devalued the dollar, and imposed a 10 ... • 8. Reflection About Living With God The book is about living with God, instead of living over, under, for, or from him. It talks about how important it is to be aware of how we think about God and our relationship with him. I appreciate this book a lot because the day I accepted Christ was when I finally understood that everything he did wasn t to get me a get out of hell free card, it was to be able to spend the rest of this life drawing me closer to him and to spend eternity with him. In that regard, the first part of the book was about what I expected, but as I was surprised, encouraged, and challenged as I got further into the book. The first point that stood out to me was the way we assign the way we value effectiveness to God; we assume that he gauges success the same way we do. I love the way the author presented the story of Moses striking the rock in the light of him doing only what he knew had worked in the past. He followed a formula; and yes, he was effective, but he was not faithful or obedient. It is possible to succeed without being in relationship with God. Along the same lines, one of the most helpful ways I ve heard this concept presented is from Moses initial reaction with God; God finding Moses and arguing back and forth with him while Moses makes excuse after excuse about everything he can t do. God is not a God of efficiency. What would have been efficient is snapping his fingers and freeing all the Israelite slaves from their captors in Egypt. But he chose to work through Moses; ... • 9. William Chaucer and His Views on the Clergy Essay In today s society, masses of people are moving away from Christianity, due to the dark past of the church. We cannot follow those who choose the path of corruption, for fear that we face a similar fate. Christianity is a pillar in our world that holds up many people, and should it fall, those who are supported by it will follow. History is filled with men such as John Wycliff who have fought to shed light on cleric corruption, through works such as A Treatise of John Wycliff Against the Order of the Friars, and later, Geoffrey Chaucer s Canterbury Tales. Wycliff s speech in 1382 is the first exposition of the clergy s wrongdoing, when he accuses the friars of stealing men s children and making our land lawless . A short 5 years ... The author repeats the word fake when he says (706 707) his wallet lay before him on his lap brim full of pardons come from rome all hot and (714 715) for in his trunk he had a pillow case which he asserted was our lady veil . The veil was actually that of a woman. The description of the pardoner s actions personify his fake personality. Chaucer later tells of a sinful church follower that the people call The Wife of Bath . She s earned this name by showing up at the church door to marry a new man on several occasions, and having a promiscuous love life behind closed doors. Chaucer repeats the use of sarcasm by using the word worthy in A worthy woman form beside bath city (455) and A worthy woman all her life. (469); by doing this Chaucer is noting that shes not a worthy woman, and this is what one would suspect of the common person when the most holy and pure teachers such as the friar are wandering through dark and sinful times. The Wife of Bath is an epitome of what was thought of the common man in 14th century Europe. The shining light in the darkness was the parson, who was the only man who lived by moral standards, led by example, and sought no monetary gain from his teachings. Chaucer points out the parson s humility by revealing giving to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. The Importance Of Minority Rights All human beings are entitled to equality and justice through our legal system and the state must accommodate to the rights of the minority groups. Some minority rights seem to conflict with liberal rights, for an example forcing women to stay home. (Freedman, 30 October 2017). In this essay, I will argue that the state should not endorse rights that infringes with the equality of the rights of a minority, therefore inhibiting the state s ability to treat all of its citizens with equal concern and respect. Bill 62 and African Americans are two examples of the majority not being tolerant of the minorities rights. Achieving equality for all citizens in a society requires granting special rights to minorities in a liberal state. Liberal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They also believe that certain parts of the world practice the religion minorities are practicing and they can practice there. They are not open to viewing the religion or rights of minority groups. A state ran by a majority could very easily use power they don t have against the minority rights. An example of the government misusing their power is the history of African American being used involuntarily as slaves and prevented from integrating into the institutions of the majority culture through racial segregation (Kymlicka 360). Africa American may have the greatest injustices of all the ethnocultural groups, mainly because of their historical mistreatment by the majority. Denial of the rights of certain minority groups cause conflict between groups and the rights of the minorities. Equality within a society means the delivering of minority rights. Multiculturalism in fact fails because everyone does not share a common set of beliefs and interest as the rest of the citizens. Since a society already has an official language and culture, the state still isn t entitled to force this on the citizens. It is up to them which culture they choose to practice. Over the past years, the difficulty for the state to given minorities rights have decreased in the sense that there are awareness groups to make the minority groups more ... I layed down until my mind comprehended what was happening. I heard an easy voice in the distance, Are you all right? It was the paramedics talking to little sisters. I tried to yell, but the medics walked up to me and patted me up, and told me to go get my sisters and follow her to the ambulance. I ran crying and breathing harshly and complaining that they wanted my mom. I felt like crying but I could not. I had to keep my sisters, who are still 4 years old calm. We went to the ambulance and waited. Then the police officer walked up to us and asked us some question. I asked him if, I could look for my dad but he handed me. My dad s phone and my mom s necklace. He told me that the paramedics took them to the hospital. The police officer thanked us and climbed out the ambulance. The medic closed the door and drove us to the hospital. As I entered the building, the nurse tapped my shoulder excuse me are those your parents? She showed me the picture. Greece And The European Union 1 Abstract: Purpose of the Research Tipping point may be defined as the critical point in a situation, process or system beyond which a significant and often unstoppable effect or change takes place. In this analysis, tipping point refers to the dilemma Greece faces. What are some of the questions the Greek crisis in the Eurozone may raise? How did the Greek sovereign debt crisis begin? How will the Greek crisis evolve? How will the crisis influence the future of European Union member states as well as the Continent as a whole? The Greek economy experienced a series of successive setbacks during this period. Since 2010, the Greek economy contracted more than 20%. The investment level decreased by 86 % as compared to 2008 (IMF, 2013b). The continuous drop in GDP, which in 2011 surpassed the historical maximum for the entire postwar period, led to a rapid decline in domestic demand. Unemployment more than doubled within the first three years of austerity reaching 25.4% in August 2012. More than half the population between 15 24 years of age or 57%, is unemployed (Eurostat, 2012), homelessness increased by 25% from 2009 to 2011 as suicide rates hit record levels, increasing 25% from 2009 2010 and an additional 40% from 2010 2011 (Reynolds, 2015). In early 2014, unemployment exceeded 28%; youth unemployment rose to 63%, which led young, educated people to emigrate in large numbers (Visvizi, 2014). Later on in his painting career, he showed different art to his other paintings, showing the poor side of his personality. This can be shown in his painting called Nativity , as the painting is sharply defined and with cold colours. Lifetime Show Analysis Back in the summer of 2015, I was directed to a new Lifetime show called UnREAL, and because one of my favorite actors, Brennan Elliott, was going to be on it, I knew I had to be an active member of the audience. Although I was aware that I was leaping out of my comfort zone to watch this show, I didn t plan on becoming quite so invested in the characters and the storyline that I anticipated season two (and soon, season three) with great delectation. What began as a sort of grandstand for Host Graham evolved into so much more. In the role of the devious, manipulative Chet, I was introduced to the stupendous work of Craig Bierko. While many actors may often wonder if their fans will find their story entertaining, I rarely find a tale that doesn t resonate with the fans, myself included, to some degree. And in the case of Craig, that is precisely the case. I never would have pegged him as a musical sort of person (I am still in the early stages of my exploration of the works of this multi talented guy), and there is no doubt from the detailing of his roles, his work and his outlook on his life and career that he is humble, pragmatic and benevolent. He doesn t see himself as a superstar, and in that case, he appears to be the antithesis of this resplendently disreputable character he plays on UnREAL. I am always convinced that shows that receive such wide acclaim must have a core group of cast and crew that dispose of their egos, labor without complaint, and become a sort of extended family. Viewers constantly connect with shows in which the people portraying the roles are genuine and down to earth, and it would appear that Craig is all that and more. His explantion of how he approaches his character was a delcious description for me to savor, and it is clear that he knows what his role is within the production, and he does it darn well! I would invite everyone to check out Craig at all the links below, and even if UnREAL is not your cup of tea, consider checking ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A Brief Note On Pedestrian Detection Of Surveillance Pedestrian Detection in Surveillance Abstract Pedestrian detection is fragmented as there are numerous algorithms used in different research. This research aims to provide an overview to understand the current state of pedestrian detection as well as analyse the challenges, effectiveness, accuracy and cost benefit of different approaches used in surveillance and how current challenges are being tackled. Introduction Pedestrian detection is a key problem in computer vision. There are a number of ways that makes it difficult to achieve without faults due to the differences in colour, motion, orientation and poses of individual human beings but also segregation of the background which may or may not be cluttered as well as other moving objects that just might get in the way. Darvocet, Darvon And Propoxyphene Products Liability Litig The Plaintiff (Rector) likely has a strong argument that she should survive summary judgment because there is a question of material fact on product identification. Courts have consistently held that a brand name drug manufacturer cannot be held liable for injuries caused by a generic form of the drug they produce. In re Darvocet, Darvon, and Propoxyphene Products Liability Litig., 756 F.3d 917, 940 (6th Cir. 2014). However, if plaintiffs claim they took the brand name drug itself, then courts have tended to apply a low standard for product identification. Courts have been reluctant to grant summary judgment on product identification even when the plaintiff has minimal evidence that they took the brand name drug. In several cases, just the plaintiff s testimony about the brand of the drug she took was sufficient to create a question of material fact. Furthermore, courts have held defendants to a high standard on counter evidence and have generally required nearly conclusive records to discount a plaintiff s evidence. In fact, in Alfred Hitchcock s thriller Rear Window, viewers witness a man progressively gaining a deep comprehension of his neighbours through his deeply rooted voyeuristic desires to delve into their lives. In its entirety, the film demonstrates through its protagonist how this neighbourhood is too dispassionate and unconcerned to classify as a community. The Songwriter s party scene patently demonstrates how music has the capability to make individuals more sociable through the use of a mid shot to establish the setting of the party. Through his application of a mid shot, Hitchcock is able to display to viewers a fairly congested room filled with exuberant individuals all positioned around the piano that the songwriter is playing, therefore suggesting that the music is what is providing them with the joy that they are very clearly expressing. Moreover, the mise en scène of the dimly lit apartment occupied by numerous intoxicated individuals all seemingly enjoying the sound of music together, creates a lively ambiance and further depicts the party as an entertaining occasion where individuals are able to become better acquainted. Thus the primary purpose of the Songwriter s party scene is to establish the idea that a commonality between two or more people, which in this case is the shared interest of music, can be of assistance when forming neighbourly relationships. • 23. The Potential for Subversion Denied in Sacre de Printemps Pina Bausch s Sacre de Printemps is a performance that communicates the story of a ritual and human sacrifice. The performance begins with a large group of women dancing around a red cloth. Their movements are frantic, sharp, and aggressive and they both move in unison and break off into canon. Later on in the piece, a group of men join the women and they dance in separate groups, come together and form circles, and finally break off into pairs. When the men enter the performance, a ritual begins that involves the selection of one female for sacrificial purposes. The men select this woman, she changes into a red dress, and all the members of the cast look on as she dances until she falls to the ground dead. Throughout the piece, there are instances of subversion and instances of conformity to traditional gender roles in dance. The performance as a whole at times challenges traditional expectations of women and at others conforms to them. The movement and costumes convey initial potential for the subversion of male dominance that ends up confirming and upholding traditional roles and expectations of gender in dance. The dancers movements throughout the performance seem to challenge and uphold gender binaries at the same time. Liver Enzyme Lab Andra Larade Bio 30 B7 11/20/15 Liver Enzyme Lab The Effect of pH and Temperature on the Efficiency of Catalase Abstract: In order to determine how pH and temperature affect the liver enzyme catalase, an experiment was conducted. Catalase breaks apart hydrogen peroxide producing water and oxygen. Using an O2 sensor to measure how much additional oxygen is added into a sealed Nalgene bottle, we could determine the enzymes effectiveness. Three variations of temperature were tested: cold, hot and room temperature. This was done by taking test tubes with the three different samples and placing them in a Nalgene Bottle. It was determined that the enzyme is most effective when at room temperature although still functions when it is chilled. The heated sample was drastically less effective. The pH was tested by adding acid (HCl), base () and neutral (water) to the enzyme. When the enzyme samples were tested using the hydrogen peroxide and O2 sensor test it was determined that any ... • 27. The Theory Of The Scientific Method If we understand how researchers separate fact from fiction perhaps we too can avoid some of the pit falls of faulty reasoning and unwarranted conclusions in our everyday lives (Zimbardo, 2001). I believe this is why scientists including psychologists think more logically rather than emotionally. They need and/or want proof of a phenomenon and so they go looking for that proof. Until they find an answer concerning that particular phenomenon, they will most likely not stop conducing experiments. This is how hypotheses are formed. Someone asks a question and then figures out the best way to get the answer to that question. It is a remarkable process. The part of that process that I will be talking about is the hypothesis. To put it simply, a hypothesis is an educated guess; better yet, it is a prediction. These predictions are drawn by logic and can be tested. Formulating a hypothesis is the second step in the scientific method. If more and more hypotheses related to a theory turn out to be true, the theory gains in credibility (King, pg. 27). After you have formed a hypotheses, you will need to test your predication. Depending on what the hypotheses is concerning, you could test it in a case study, survey, or even a laboratory experiment. Rath mentions that when we live within our shortcomings/ our weaknesses, we tend to live in this world unhappy and unmotivated (Rath, 2007). In this paper, I will discuss some background and major topics presented in his book. I will describe how his topics can be useful in nursing practice, as well as my own practice. I will end this paper with a look into how his book helped me to grow in my own soon to be leadership role. Background Tom Rath began working with a group of scientists in 1998 to start a conversation about our strengths (Rath, 2007). A 40 year study, led by Donald O. Clifton, helped to create a language of common talents, and in 2001, included this assessment into their bestselling management book Now, Discover Your Strengths (Rath, 2007). During their study, they found out that people who do have the opportunity to focus on their strengths every day are six times as likely to be engaged in their jobs and more than three times as likely to report having an excellent quality of life in general (Rath, 2007, pg. iii). A major problem with this was a majority of people were either unsure of or unable to explain their strengths (Rath, 2007). When developing StrengthFinder 2.0, the ultimate goal was to build upon your true strengths which take practice and hard work (Rath, 2007). • 37. The Strategies Of Finding A Mate Lauren Soentgen Approach: 1, Source: Buss, 1994 In his article, The Strategies of Finding a Mate, David M. Buss discusses the act of finding a mate and the characteristics that people are drawn to in a mate. He begins the article with a brief look at the history of mating and the theories that have previously been proposed. In particular he addressed Charles Darwin s theory of sexual evolution and belief in preferential mate choice. Buss proposes that there are three components to human mating. He states that human mating is inherently strategic... mating strategies are context dependent... [and that] men and women have faced different mating problems over the course of human evolution and, as a consequence, have evolved different strategies (Buss, 1994, p. 241). He uses this theory to propose nine different hypotheses to prove that despite humans being varied and different from each other, all humans look for similar characteristics when trying to find a mate (Buss, 1994). To investigate his research hypotheses, Buss collected data from two sources. His first source was college students in the United States. For his second source, Buss (1994) worked with 50 other scientists in order to survey over 10,000 men and women from around the world. This was his greatest strength in the article. He had collected so much research that it made the data seem credible, and the fact that the participants came from diverse backgrounds means it is a better representation of the ... One of my best assets that I could see me using to be a great helper is my patience and my knowledge of how to detect a hacker. I have noticed that many staff members are really unsure on if the person is hacking or is just really good. I could help to ensure that the person being watched is not banned falsely or let go when they were actually hacking. I am familiar with common screenshare tools such as Blsquad and Sarefine SS tool. I know where to/how to find hacks and/or illegal mods. If placed in a situation where I need to screenshare, I am able to easily control and complete the screenshare in a timely manner. I can tell the difference between laggers and hackers, which, sadly, some staff members I have met on other servers can t. Credit Risk Define: Credit risk is defined by JPM as the risk of loss arising from the default of a customer, client or counterparty (2014 annual report, pg. 110) . This fairly broad definition encompasses large corporate clients, institutional clients and individual consumers. In addition, JPM identified that the primary drivers of credit risk arise from (1) residential real estate, (2) credit card, (3) auto loans, (4) business banking and (5) student lending businesses. In order to further define the characteristics of credit risk, the firm uses methodologies such as (1) a scored exposure rating, and (2) a risk exposure rating to estimate the likelihood of counterparty default. Scored Exposure As securities are underwritten and issued to customers, they are transferred or essentially securitized into a portfolio. Scored exposure is used a term that encompasses the scored portfolio held in consumer and community banking (CCB). This portfolio predominantly includes residential real estate loans, credit card loans, certain auto and business banking loans and student loans (i.e., the loans issued by consumer bank Chase, as acquired by investment bank JPM following the alleviation of the Glass Steagall Act). According to JPM, credit losses on their CCB loans are measured based on statistical analysis of credit losses over discrete periods of time and estimated using portfolio modeling, credit scoring, credit scores, and other risk factors . ... The privilege of visitors had to be earned, and mail privileges were limited. They each held jobs within the prison in the tailor shop, laundry, cobblers shop, model shop, gardening, or help with the food prep in the mess hall. C. Contrary to what the movies portray, there were no experiments made on the prisoners, and the inmates that were transferred there were already twisted and disturbed; Alcatraz didn t turn them into monsters.
