Working as a Butler in Royal Club lounge, my routine work is not limited to this area and I perform
other activities according to the needs of our superior.

2. Duties and Responsibilities
Usually, I run the club-lounge not only serving the food and beverage but also care about other services to
the VIP guest.
Greetings the guest up on arrival time and offer the personal service as per the requirements to the
guest. Such as suggesting menu, laundry collecting and delivering, offering newspaper and
magazine to all suites room, shoe Polishing, placing VIP amenities, giving the right information
about hotel and other local surroundings.
Involve in up selling rooms and other facilities of hotel including all outlets.
Closely work with front office, I do check in, check out and block the rooms by using the Hotel
Opera –PMS software so I am equipped to work in Opera software.
Gather all knowledge of hotel operation and function such as all outlets of food and Beverage
dept, front office & house keeping.
Keep always clean all hollow ware, flatware & glassware in the lounge-pantry area.
Check the mini bar and refill it through room service outlets.
Carry out guest registration, cashiering and other administrative tasks as per the standard.
Ensure the all cutlery and crockery, chinaware in the room are cleaned and replenishment of good
quality of fruits as per the guest requirements.
Check the room status, before the arrival timing of guest
Check the room after the checking out time for any missed luggage.
Check the room maintenance requirements according to the standard.
Reports the day to day operation to my Head of the Dept
Attending Training class, I learnt Service Culture Awareness Audit in which I learnt Hotel
information, Service Culture, Arrival Experience, LM brand-LM 100, LM Brand- Signature
Breakfast, LM Brand – Guest Room, Starwood Journey and SPG Training.
Assisting in browsing. Faxing, photocopying to the guest help to type the documents file as per
their requirements.
Up on requirement explaining to the guest about hotel services, external locations, attractions and
landmarks in the hotel vicinity.
