D.I.U. PATHOLOGIES INFECTIEUSES PÉDIATRIQUES
Les microbes sont nos amis, il faut les aimer aussi ! Qui n’a pas été tenté par ce DIU ? Que l’on se destine à la pédiatrie de ville, à la pédiatrie générale, à l’onco-hématologie, à la néonatalogie, ou à la pédiatrie spécialisée, on le sait bien, on aura tous à gérer des pathologies infectieuses ! D’abord, c’est chouette de faire un DIU, c’est une autre façon de se poser des questions, de réfléchir, de revoir un peu de théorie !
Il était difficile de le placer dans notre maquette puisqu’il était concentré en 3 semaines sur le même semestre. Il est maintenant « étalé » sur deux semestres, avec 1 semaine à Lyon, 2 semaines à Paris. Le contenu des cours est très varié entre cours de raisonnement infectieux (antibiothérapie, résistance et épidémiologie bactérienne, immunologie), présentation de maladies infectieuses, communautaires et du voyage, sensibilisation aux terrains particuliers (onco-hématologie, mucoviscidose, prématuré, etc.).
L’évaluation consiste en un examen écrit, et un mémoire, qui doit être présenté à l’oral. Le sujet est assez ouvert, et l’étude doit être réalisée dans un service qualifiant en maladies infectieuses. Pour le mémoire, pas de panique ! Les responsables du DIU sont très disponibles pour l’aide aux choix des sujets ! Pour la rédaction, il y a des cours prévus de méthodologie à la dernière session, qui aident aussi ! La majorité des personnes qui assistent au DIU sont des internes.
