1. There are several options for reporting on data stored in SharePoint like the SharePoint web service, access link tables, and third party data source providers.
2. Reporting Services architecture in SharePoint integrated mode stores items and properties in the SharePoint content database while the report server continues to provide data processing, rendering, and delivery.
3. Setting up Reporting Services in SharePoint integrated mode involves creating a report server database, configuring the RS service, and enabling reporting content types in a document library.
External Data Connector for SharePoint is a connector and bridging solution to connect SharePoint with external databases and applications. This connector allows you to import data from different external sources and make them part of SharePoint Lists. Reports from external sources can be imported into SharePoint Libraries. Metadata imported from external data sources and applications can be updated into SharePoint columns. Any changes to the imported data sets, records, files, documents and reports can be updated back in the source through export.
Enabling Anonymous Access in SharePoint isn’t just a matter of flipping a switch in IIS manager. Anonymous Access must be enabled in IIS and then configured in SharePoint. But there are also situations where this basic configuration isn't sufficient. In this talk we’ll review how to enable and configure anonymous access for SharePoint web sites, lists, and libraries. Then we'll turn our attention to strategies that can be used overcome specific problems with SharePoint anonymous access. We'll demonstrate solutions and workarounds for questions like:
1) How do you require authentication for some items while maintaining anonymous access for the rest?
2) What content from a personal MySite can be accessed via anonymous access?
3) How do you enable anonymous responses to a discussion list?
4) Can BLOGS and Wiki sites be used in an anonymous access site collection?

The document discusses using MediaWiki for application lifecycle management (ALM) by linking program and table objects to modules in a wiki, showing dependencies between objects, and allowing collaborative updating through a web interface. Information is stored in a database and changes are tracked. The process involves extracting initial data from the database and code, storing it in a defined format, and uploading XML pages to the wiki. Components include the database, code, information converter, page loader, and wiki page creator.
The control flow manages the execution of tasks and containers in an SSIS package. It contains control flow tasks, containers, and precedence constraints. There are three primary control flow objects - tasks that perform jobs, containers that group tasks and containers, and constraints that define execution order. A control flow task performs operations like sending emails or copying files, and completes as succeeded or failed.

SharePoint and Access 2010-Better TogetherInnoTech
PlainsCapital Bank utilizes SharePoint for various functions including their intranet and projects. When many business units requested the same tracking list, over 30 identical lists were created across sites. This made reporting difficult. Access 2010 provided a solution by connecting each SharePoint list as a database table. A SQL union query combined the data into one unified list. This allowed for easy reporting in Access on data from all the SharePoint lists.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:

2. XPlica Highlights
• Helps you migrate Site Collections / Webs / Libraries / Lists /
Documents from older versions to newer versions of SharePoint
• Useful for content restructuring and consolidation within the same
SharePoint server
• Preserve original metadata, folder hierarchy, document version
history, user permissions, content types, and content approval
status during migration
• Retain original - Author, Created Date, Modified Date, Content
Type, Checkin Comment fields, etc. while migrating contents
• Migrates content between SharePoint 2003 / 2007 Farms and
SharePoint 2007 / 2010 / 2013 Servers – both On-Premise and
Online (Office 365) Servers
3. With XPlica for SharePoint – you can
• Map Document properties to SharePoint Columns during migration
• Apply complex migration rules to filter and migrate selected Items
along with their versions
• Generate or collate source metadata prior to migration
• Associate new metadata values during migration from an external
file in CSV / Excel format
• Automate migration tasks to handle large scale migration
10. Migrate source Permissions / User Memberships / Role
Assignments associated with Lists Items and Documents
11. Apply complex migration Filters to migrate only the
required content to the destination SharePoint Server
12. Update metadata using an External Metadata Reference
File – useful in associating new metadata properties during
migration
A sample external metadata file created using the List Metadata Collator tool.
15. List Metadata Collator tool - generate a full inventory of
Library / List items along with their metadata. This is also
useful if you need to clean-up metadata
