2. Process
The first process of production was using
google images to search for existing video
game magazine to get an idea of the
overall layout, fonts, colours and text.
This research resulted in me using similar
styles on my front cover experiment such
as barcode, banner and kickers.
4. First of all I imported a relevant
feature article photo from that I
saved from google images. The
menu at the right hand side
allowed me too move things
into the background and
foreground which meant that I
could use text over the images
aswell as sub headings and
other shapes and colours.
Sub headings were inserted
to give the reader some
information about the
content inside. A small
amount of research on
2015’s features was needed
to get the basic idea.
5. A plug and logo were inserted
next to stand out from the other
text. The plug showcases the
Nintendo switch and the logo
was placed in a text box in the
bottom center of the front cover
which is where the barcode will
be inserted which is a typical
place for this.
Lastly the barcode was added
which again was another
imaged that was saved and
imported off google images.
The colours I used are also
popular colour choices for
existing magazines aswell as the
fonts used.
7. Process
To start with I changed the blank
background to a burgundy to match some of
the colour that I had on the front cover and
placed various texted boxes in light colours
with 80% opacity so they aren’t so bold and
bright.
After a small amount of research I could
quickly gather information that I needed for
the text inside the magazine. The text
includes information on 2 new releases
from this year along with a few images.
