2. Does Font matter ?
Choosing the correct font is important no matter what you’re
creating. Whether it’s a 500 page manual or a checklist for Sally the house
sitter, font matters. In Media Font is very important as it carries a
responsibility with it. Font represents a specific type and model for every
product it is placed on. Font needs to be coherent and not be too fancy or
too over done. For my magazine I need to represent the music genre of
Grime. Grime needs to be a strong, bold/hardcore looking font . It also
needs to coherent and have nothing Fancy. Grime can be pretty simple or
basic but with InDesign or Photoshop I can implement effects. For Ideas I
went on dafont.com to search for something I may want to incorporate into
my masthead.
3. As you can see I have looked/researched Fonts that I could use in my masthead.
Any of them could be used to represent the music Genre Grime.
4. I particularly liked this
design as its different to
the others and has a sort
of retro effect.
I like this font as it is simple but
effective. It is also coherent .
This can also represent graffiti
which is a link to Grime.
I don’t like this design as it is not
clear and may be misread as
‘CRIME’ instead of Grime.
I like this font as it would
remind me of ‘grand theft
auto’ which is a game
known by many youths
