Keyword Research can be defined as choosing the words, which describe your product or service as, seen from the viewpoint of your target market is the most important step in the optimization process.
This lengthy (150+ slides), but very comprehensive presentation is designed to help experienced SEOs train those new to the practice over a 2-3 hour, interactive session. It covers the search engine landscape, the SEO process, keyword research, link building and the emergence of social media as a ranking signal.
In this presentation, I introduce Technical SEO. In this set of slides, I discuss what technical SEO is, why it is important, and the factors that affect technical SEO like crawlability, website speed, robots.txt file, sitemap, site security, mobile friendliness, search console, etc.
7thingsmedia's Founder & CEO , Chris Bishop, presented an intimate introduction into search engine optimization (SEO). Bishop took the group through the basics of how the various search engines work, how to efficiently rank in them and the key on page and off page ranking factors. Plus an Google Panda and Google Penguin update.

Sometimes you need a reminder of the learnings you have had.
This presentation is the result of a "reflected best self' exercise undertaken in the first week of the first module of my MBA. The exercise requires you to ask 10 people close to you (personal and colleagues) to answer a set of questions. You also answer the questions and then evaluate the similarities and differences.
The result is a concise descriptor of you at your best, that I had to present to a class of new MBA classmates at Berlin school of Creative Leadership (Steinbeis University).
Now who wouldn't like their very best self as a reminder? So pleased I dug this out.
I recommend you try the exercise for yourselves.

Many of us are starting to lead beyond physical boundaries with teams around the city or country, and indeed across the world. How we embrace and succeed in the new ways of working, is about how we manage and enable creativity in a time when proximity and spontaneity may no longer be our secret weapon. Here we look at what the pitfalls there may be as well as identify potential superpowers to nurture in order to keep creativity flowing.

Flash sites are not ‘visible’ to Google – websites need to be built
with searchable content in mind from the start.
If they are beautiful but not searchable there is a much less
chance of new people finding you.
13. Search Engines read keywords
Behind the words and pictures Google reads the tags and copy.
You can see from the example before, CNN uses it’s brand site
(CNN.com) as high currency ensuring that anyone who searches
for CNN would be served the correct page.
Again the example shows that ‘news’ is the next most valued
word for CNN being used 11 times in the copy shown above –
and not just as a single word but covering off variants and so a
multiple of news searches – breaking news. Video news, U.S.
news, world news etc etc

Rather than buying or creating generic search terms,
create urls that are specific to you and your product.

22. What is Search Engine Marketing?
It is the process of paying to be listed on certain search terms (as
opposed to natural search which is what we were discussing
before).
This can either happen as keywords payment or through
sponsored links.
Sponsored links appear at the top of the search results pages in
the tinted area above natural search results.
Keywords are displayed to the right of the results page (we will
cover this later in the presentation)
