Sri Aurobindo Ghosh was an Indian philosopher, yogi, and poet. He was born in 1872 in Calcutta and died in 1950 in Pondicherry. He founded the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and developed a philosophy called Integral Yoga. His educational philosophy emphasized that education should be child-centered, imparted through the mother tongue, develop all faculties, and help the child become a complete person through spiritual development and self-realization. He advocated for learning by doing and suggested curriculum that included the mother tongue, sciences, humanities, and vocational skills appropriate for primary, secondary, and university levels.

Those centers were highly responsible for the spread of Buddhism in India by 600B.C.
