Introduction In 1981, D.H Hubel and T.N Wiesel were awarded half of the Nobel prize in
Physiology or Medicine, along with R.W. Sperry who received the other half. The two had been
conducting experiments and publishing their findings together for over twenty years, before they
were awarded the Nobel prize for their discoveries concerning information processing in the visual
system. They produced many reports including single and complex cells, and ocular dominance.
Their work provided better understanding of the visual system and therefore led the way for others

Their experiments took place on anaesthetized cats with microelectrodes inserted into their primary
visual cortex, their eyes were also held open allowing the experiment to be conducted. Small spots
of light were shone onto the restricted retinal regions which often would cause brisk responses and
could be divided into excitatory and inhibitory regions (shown in fig.1). Excitatory areas if
illuminated produced an increased frequency of firing compared to inhibitory regions, although
both did produce responses. Stationary spots showed that the excitatory and inhibitory regions were
aligned side by side within the central responsive area, flanked by antagonistic areas. Light stimulus
covering the whole receptive field was practically ineffective in most units due to mutual

3.1. Absorption spectra study of 5 aminopyridine Schiff base (L1 and L2):
The absorption spectrum of probes L1 and L2 (40 ОјM) were investigated in the presence of metals
ions in DMSO solvent. As shown in Fig. 1, Schiff base L1 exhibited absorption band at 269 nm,
310 nm, 323 nm and 347 nm; and L2 at 264 nm, 319 nm, 341 nm, 439 nm and 462 nm, that may be
attributed to ПЂ ПЂ* charge transfer transition. However, no remarkable changes were observed in
absorption spectra after the addition of 1 equivalent various metal ions such as Ag(I), K(I), Li(I)
Na(I), Co(II), Cu(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), Mg(II), Hg(II), Mn(II), Al(III), Cr(III), Gd(III) and Nd(III)
ions. Interestingly upon the addition of zinc and nickel ions to the probe L1 absorbance peak shifted
to higher wavelength (red shift) from 347 nm to 413 nm and 410 nm, respectively. Thus, L1 Zn(II)
and L1+Ni(II) complexes exhibited color change from colorless to intense yellow color. Similarly,
the addition of Fe(III) and UO2(II) to the probe L2, absorbance peak lead to decrease at 439/462
nm while new peak appear at 355 nm and 366/ 515 nm, respectively. Consequently, the absorbance
peaks of L2 Fe(III) complexes shifted to UV region, thus light yellow color turned to colorless, and
in case of L2 UO2(II) complex absorbance peak showed red shift effect, that resulted in dark yellow

messaging system. To encode the communications, XML is used. Web services are self
contained, modular, distributed, dynamic applications that can be described, published, located,
or invoked over the network to create products, processes, and supply chains. These applications
can be local, distributed, or web based. Web services are built on top of open standards such as
TCP/IP, HTTP, Java, HTML, and XML. Web Services have three main components Simple Object
Access Protocol (SOAP), Universal Description Discovery and Integration (UDDI) and Web
Services Description Language (WSDL) and they are built on XML and HTTP platforms.
Due to simplicity, platform independence and XML/SOAP support, Web Services are vulnerable to
various security threats including various new and old inherited security threats. There are various
control measures and certain possible ontological solutions which can reduce the vulnerability of
the Web Services to various security threats.

#1 Draft Pick: Force Awakens Over Rogue One When you think of the number one draft pick,
the majority of the time football comes to mind. Well, this is not in this case. The number one
draft is the Star Wars movie which is the seventh movie in the series. That one fairs far better
than the antithetical film Rogue One. The Force Awakens occurs thirty years after the Galactic
Empire is defeated. The galaxy is faced with a new threat from an evil villain named Kylo Ren
and also the First Order which is a military dictatorship. A defector stormtrooper FN2817 also
known as Finn escapes the realm of the darkside and Kylo Ren. He ends up on Tatooine, which is

For both movies, it is a little confusing in the beginning because of the new characters in the
beginning of the movies and you just jump right into the plot line. The Force Awakens plot line
seems to make more sense throughout the movie and it s easier to understand if you have
watched the other movies. It has the same characters as the previous movies but there are a few
new characters. In The Force Awakens, the movie takes place at least 20 years after Return of
the Jedi. Princess Leia and Han Solo have a son together, and becomes evi. Rogue One has new
characters in it and doesn t fit as well as it should because of the new characters, which makes it
a little more complicated to follow along with since there is a lot of new characters to keep track
of. When watching the movies, watching them in order by movie number is ideal. Rogue One fits
in after the Empire Strikes Back and before Return of the Jedi because the plot line places the
movie in that time period. The Force Awakens fits in after Return of the Jedi because that is what

The marketing and storage of perishable foodstuffs can be delayed by using treating them with
methods that will slow or halt enzymatic activity. We experimented as to whether or not varied
concentrations of sodium chloride, NaCl had any effect on the activity of catechol oxidase, an
enzyme found in potatoes. A serial salt water dilution was made, a potato homogenate made, and
buffered catechol oxidase added. The solutions were placed in a spectrophotometer and the light
absorbance for each recorded. The higher concentrations of salt, around 20% solution, reduced
